Sue looked up with tired and sad eyes. She looked as if she was about to cry. “Look Howie, you’re my friend, I was going to say goodbye to you, except, I changed my mind and stayed,” explained Sue. “So you didn’t forget me?” asked Howie. Sue looked at Howie and said, “Forget Howie Fines? Nah. How could I forget you? You were my first snitch and you gave me a very nice necklace!” Howie chuckled, and then said, “I’m sorry for thinking that you would forget me.” Sue just said, “I’ll never forget you Howie,” and pulled him into a hug. “Well, Otis and I gotta go,” and Otis and Howie bade farewell and left.

Everyone went back to their desks, but Jack stayed at Sue’s. Jack turned to Sue and asked, “Are you okay?” Sue just shook her head and signed FOLLOW ME. Sue headed for the conference room and Jack did as she had asked and followed her. He locked the door. When he went to go sit next to Sue on the couch, Sue just hugged him and started crying. She started muttering, “I’m sorry Jack. I’m sorry.” Jack slowly pulled back just so far so Sue can read his lips and asked, “Sorry? Sorry for what?” Sue sniffled then said, “Sorry for even thinking about leaving you, my life here, and my ‘family’ here.” Jack pulled Sue back into the hug. Then pulled back and said, “Sue, you have nothing to be sorry for. You had a chance to excel, most people would have left without a doubt, but you stayed. You gave up a great chance and stayed for the team. That was I love about you...” Jack trailed off as he realized what he had said. Sue’s eyes widen. “Did you just say you loved me?” Jack nodded and added, “Since the day you came storming into my office and saying you were my new special project. Well you are special in my heart and I hoped that you would be mine.” Sue began to cry again, but with happy tears. Sue signed ILY. Jack bent down and Sue met him halfway. Their lips met and nothing else existed. They were in their own little perfect world. Sue pulled back and said, “I would love to stay, but we need to get back to the office.” Jack nodded and gave Sue a quick kiss then said, “You go, I need to talk to Garret about some changes in the rulebook.”

Okay, I'm so sorry, I promised that there would be more by now, but I didn't post, so here is the part you've all been so graciously waiting for...

Sue came back into the Bullpen and everyone looked up. Lucy was the first to notice and exclaimed, "Girl, how long have you been holding out on me?" Sue just looked at her confused. Lucy shook her head in disbelief, "Your lipstick is all smudged. Who have you been kissing?" Sue blushed and went back to her desk. Bobby waved his hand to get Sue's attention, "Who's the lucky Prince Charming?" And as if on cue, Jack comes watlzing in as happy as ever. Sue looks at Jack and asked, "did he agree to change it?" Jack nooded and said, "Yep!"

Everyone in the Bullpen just looked at them in with a 'what-are-they-talking-about' look. Jack said, "Garrett has changed the rules about members dating in the same unit." Lucy looked at Jack closer and started laughing, now it was her turn to get the clueles stares from her friends. Then she said, "Jack I don't think that shade of red looks good on you, but it looks good on Sue," and she tossed his a tissue. Jack finally got what she was talking about and wiped the lipstick off his lips. Tara started laughing in with Lucy and D and Myles followed in suit. Bobby gave a loud whoop and asked, "Is there gonna be a real wedding in the future, mate?"

Garrett comes walking in and said, "The guys upstairs has given you all from now till July 5 off for Independence Day." Then he left. "So now we need to figure where we're gonna have a celebration." said Sue. "How about our apartment," suggested Lucy, "it's big enough and everyone." Sue nodded. Everyone agreed that Lucy and Sue's apartment would be a great place. "We need to go shopping," said Sue. "Tara you wanna come," asked Lucy. Tara agreed. Gir''s day shopping.

When the girls finally got back to Lucy and Sue' apartment, they were each carrying two bags of clothes, shoes, stremers, ribbons, and all sorts of party decoration. They all had decided that they would wait till tomorrow to decorate the apartment. There was a chime on Sue's laptop. Levi nudged Sue and run to the laptop. Sue checked it, Jack had IM'ed her.

You called 10 mins. ago how did you get here so fast?" asked Sue. "Let's just say, i wan't exactly home when i called," explained Jack as he offered his arm. Sue agrred and bade farewell to Lucy, tara, and Levi.

Sue turned to jack and asked, "So now where, Mr. Hudson?" "Well, actually Bobby called, and her meet this really nice girls and were watching a movie at my place, but I have to go get the movies well they go get the food," explained Jack. After Jack and Sue got their movies, one chick flick, The Wedding Planner, and the other, Happy Potter and the Prisioner of Alacaban, Sue asked jack as they were driving back to jack's place, "Who's this girl Bobby meet and where?" Jack stopped in front of his apartment and turned to face Sue, "Her name's Purnima. She apparently lives a floor on top of him all this time and he never knew until last week, we they got stuck in an elevator together for 3-4 hours. So, Yea..." Sue sighed a dreamy sigh then asked, "What happened to Amie? Wasn't he dating her two weeks ago?" "He was, but she turned out to meet this tall, dark, handsome type model, so they broke up." Sue shook her head, "Poor Bobby, but now he has a girl, and I have a guy and everyone's happy." Jack laughed and went to the other side to open Sue's door. "Shall we Mr. Hudson?" "Let's go!" said Jack.

Jack and Sue went to Jack's apartment door and Jack heard laughter inside. We they opened it the food was on the table and Bobby and Purnima were sitting on the couch talking and holding a piece of paper. Sue was the first to ask, "What's the piece of paper?" Bobby looked over, "hey shelia, Sparky, this is Purnima." The all introduced each other. "The cashier guy gave us this when we bought the food," Purnima handed the piece of paper to Jack and Sue. It said:

They all decided to watch the Wedding Planner. And everytime someone kissed Bobby would kiss Purnima and Jack would kiss Sue. By the tim the movie was over The two couples were feeding each other and cuddling up together.

Bobby poked Jack and said, "Maybe next time we can do this alone, mate." Jack chuckled and Sue looked up and asked Purnima what they were talking about. Purnima translated and the two left to the kitchen and pouted.

Jack and Bobby went in to look for them and found them talking with dreamy looks on their faces. "Why'd you shelias leave?" asked Bobby. Sue looked at them and just pouted and looked over at Purnima and gave her a 'our-plan-is-working' look. Jack and Bobby shrugged and both men grabbed their girl, their squealing girl, and pulled them onto a couch. "Up for another movie?" asked jack. Everyone agreed. Sue said that she needed to use the restroom, but a couple minutes later, a scream was heard, Sue's scream...

Sue scream louder and louder. Jack ran towards the bathroom. Bobby looked at Purnima, "Stay here shelia," and he ran after Jack. By the time Jack and Bobby got to Sue, she was being pulled out the door by some dark figure. Sue was unconscience and Jack and Bobby tried running down the hall to catch up with the dark figure, but they had already gotten in the elevator and drove off. Bobby called 911 while Jack called the team up. Bobby and Jack went back to the hotel and saw Purnima crying and holding something. Bobby went and picked Purnima up and let her lay against him as jack examined the object and his door.

The police had come seconds after the team arrived. Lucy ran to Jack and was crying. Jack hugged her, "It's okay Luce. We'll find her......I'll find her." An officer came up to Jack, "Do you have any idea how the intruder got in?" Jack held out the object purnima was holding earlier, "My friend found this knife next to the door, nd the lock seems to be damaged badly, mostly likely by the knife, but the is some fingerprints on it." The officer put the object in a zip-lock bag and handed it to Jack, "Since it was a federal employee kidnapped and she's part of your team, you can have this case, unless you don't want it." Jack nooded, "We'll have it. She's my teammate, I have a duty to find her." The officer nodded and five minutes later all the police were gone.

D went up to Jack, "How did you know there are fingerprints on it?" "The handle is wooden and since purnima only touched the blade of it and I only touched the blade of it, it can't be one of us, and look at the powder marks on it. It was most likely a kitchen knife and whomever used it, didn't have clean hands," jack pointed to the handle, "there are prints, fingerprints, on the handle." D nodded, "I'll take it to the lab. We'll find her, jack." Jack nodded and went to the rest of the team.

Myles was holding Tara as she cried. "We'll find her, Tara. We're the best," said Myles as he tried to comfort her. Tara only nodded, but held onto Myles' embrace. Myles looked up at Jack and gave his friend a determined look and lead Tara to the couch.

Lucy came over to Jack, "D just called from the lab. He said that the fingerprints were one of David Palmer...Sue's ex..." Lucy began to cry as she thought of the sweet David that use to steal Sue's heart away, and now the same David kidnapping Sue, and apparently stalking her.

Jack's stomach did a double as he tried to process the news. He thought, Dog guy...I knew he was trouble...I thought he loved Sue. if he did, kidnapping her isn't a way to show it.

Jack and Lucy began to pray, "God, please help Sue. Help us find her, and make sure she's okay. Make sure David doesn't hurt here. Watch out for her. Amen"

The whole team was in David's house with David tied to a chair. Jack was asking or rather interragating David on the whereabouts of Sue. Jack slammed his fist, "I'll ask you again David! WHERE IS SUE?!?" David shook his head, "I don't know, I didn't take her." Jack was about to yell at David some more, but ring ring, his cell phone.

Jack answered, "Jack Hudson" jack could hear faint whispers, sobs cries, and what seemed to him like Sue's voice. Sue screamed into the phone, "Jack!!!" Jack sat up straighter, "Sue! Where are you? We're interragating david right now." "Jack, David didn't kidnap me" Sue said between sobs. "What?!?" Jack exclaimed, "Who then?" All Jack could hear was a slap and Sue's scream. "Sue!!! We'll find you...I'll find you!!!" And for some reason Jack could hear his own scream coming from somewhere, it sounded like a telephone. All Jack heard Sue say was, "Look to your right..." then screams of his own name. Then a woman took the phone, the voice was farmiliar, low and purry. he'd heard that voice somewhere, he just couldn't place where. The woman said, "Jack, you'll never find her, and if you do she'll probably already be died." But before Jack could answer she hung up.

Lucy looked up at Jack hopefully, "Who was it?" Jack shook his head, "I don't know, but whoever that is she's got" but jack was interrupted by Lucy, "SHE?!?" Jack nodded soberly, "she's got Sue." Lucy cried some more and Jack tried to comfort her. Everyone stopped searching as they heard Jack say that it wasn't David. Jack repeated over and over, ever so queitly, "Look to your right...Look to your right..."

Tara looked at Jack all curious, "What did you say Jack?" Jack looked at Tara, "Sue whispered, look to your right...but I don't know what she means." Tara got a puzzled look on her face, then her eyes lit up, "I got it!" Everyone looked up at her. "jack go stand exactly how you were when Sue called," tara instucted Jack, "Now go all the way forward." Jack looked over at Tara, "But, that goes out into the street." Tara nodded, "Just go out on the sidewalk." Jack obeyed and Tara followed Jack outside. Then Tara imitated Sue, "Look to your right..." Jack did, but turned to Tara, "It's a dead end, it's only a house." Tara nodded, "But not just any house, go up and listen to the garage." jack followed and what he heard surprised him.

Jack turned to Tara, "How did you?...When did you?...What?" Tara giggled. "I just figured it out when you told me hat Sue said about looking to the right. I just thought she meant houses," Tara explained, "What did you hear?" Jack shook his head in amazement at Tara's skills, "You know Tara, I could kiss you!" everyone looked at him stunned. "There's three female voices in that garage. One of which is Sue, the other one is Amie, and the third is the kidnapper," explained Jack. Bobby took a step back and muttered, "Amie? How could I not know?" Jack looked over at Bobby, he knew about Amie and Bobby's break, but still could understand why Amie? There was dead silence as everyone took everything in. Jack broke the silence, "Alright, Bobby and I will go in and we'll call for back up if we need it."

Jack and Bobby walked up to the door and rang the door beel, as everyone else went into David's house and watched, but was out of view. The door opened. The 'kidnapper' asked, "Jack? Bobby? What are you two doing here? I mean it's nice to see you two." Bobby said, "Hey to you too, shelia." "Hi Allie," said Jack, as he was trying to think of something to say, but Allie kept on running her hand up and down his chest, "my mom called, and asked if I knew you lived in DC, she gave me your address if you don't mind, and i said I'd come and see you today, but if you're busy we'll leave." As Jack and Bobby were about to turn, Allie said, "No! I'm not busy. Come in." Allie ushered them in and told them to sit and get comfty, she just needed to go finish up something. Jack asked, "Allie, do you need help? I'd be happy to." Bobby gave him a death glare. Allie nodded eagerly, "I'd love it, Jack." Allie turned around and went and jack followed, but not before he whispered to Bobby, stay close to the door, if I need your help, I'll yell." Bobby nodded and Jack turned around and followed Allie.

Allie went down to the basement and put her laundry in the dryer, and took the dried clothes out, she looked over at Jack and asked, "Jack would you be a doll, and carry that for me and put the basket in the closet for now?" Allie forgetting what she had already put in the closet showed Jack where.

Jack put the basket down and opened the door, Allie remebered before it as too late. Jack turned over to Allie, "Allie, you are under arrest for the kidnapping of a fedreal employee and a kidnapping of Amie, and the thought of murder to the two." Allie turned to run, but jack yelled Bobby and bobby was down in a flash and arrested Allie. Bobby and Jack opened the garage door, and motioned the team to take Allie away.

Bobby got back to the closet and carried Amie out. "Amie, honey, are you okay?" Amie hugged Bobby, "Yes, Thank you, Bobby." "Only doing my job," said Bobby, "You should call your fiance, "he might be worried sick." Amie nodded, but said, " You have to get Sue out of there, there's a firecracker in there." Bobby let amie down and turned just in time to see jack go in and carry Sue up...then...

BOOM

Jack and Sue screamed. Since the closet was very big and had a turn in the back, no one saw Jack and Sue when the firecraker exploded. Bobby and Purnima, who showed a few minutes waited in anticipation for Jack and Sue. Amie had gone ith the rest of the team to the car leaving the love birds to themselves. Bobby and Purnima crept slowly into the closet and prepared themselves for the worse, except the weren't perpared for what they saw.

Bobby was pulled down by Jack and Purnima was pulled down by Sue. The two couples were sprawling in melted chocolate all over the floor. Tell all were laughing. Bobby looked at Jack and Sue and asked what happened. Sue explained that Allie had a firecracker and she was making pudding, so she melted chocolate and she accidently up the sparks and powder for the fircrackr into her pudding, which still looked like pudding, but she she accidently put the melted chocolate in with some of the sparks, so when the firecracker exploded you could hear the boom, but chocolate went flying everywhere not fireworks." everyone laughed at Allie's idiocy.

Bobby pulled purnima up close to him as carressed her face, he leaned in and she met him halfway. The licked the chocolate off each others lips and there definately were different sparks flying alright! Jack took out his cell phone hich was still amazingly working andtook a snap shot of Bobby and Purnima. They pulled away as soon as they heard the click. Jack and Sue started laughing. "Give me that!" bobby yelled at Jack as he reached for it.

Bobby got Jack's cell phone and jack totally forgot about it when Sue slipped and her hand slid down Jack's chest. Jack caught her and pulled her onto his lap. They locked eyes and met halfway. Unlike Bobby and Purnima, they got more chocolate on them than less. "hmmmm, chocolate..." whispered Jack. Now it was Bobby's turn to take a snapshot of Jack and Sue. The four just sat and laughed at each other.

Bobby called Tara and told her that everyone can go they were just going to stay. They four sat there for a while and laughed, but agreed to go home a take a shower. But Bobby had a better idea, "Why don't we just take a shower here?"

Allie, being a rich little lady and liking lots of showers had four showers, which was so coincedental. When they all finished with the shower, everyone but Purnima had clothes because everyone, working for the FBI, was prepared and had spares, so Purnima wore a robe, a very nice robe too. Bobby and Purnima rode home in one car and Jackk and Sue rode home in another.

Davey is sitting in the auditorium with the whole school watching. The parents were there, and the team came for moral support. The school started singing 'The Star-Spangle Banner' as an opening. The principal and Davey's teacher gave some words of introduction and presented Davey.

David stood on the stage infront of the microphone and held his paper in front of him. He took a deep breathe and started, "Families together, children playing, cook-outs, and fireworks, these are all part of one holiday, or more of a celebration. A celebration of all of us here, together. A celebration that has been celebrated all across the country with joy, happiness, and love. This celebration is Independence day. If the event that took on July 4, 1776 never occured, we wouldn't be standing here, all together. Independence Day is not just a day; it's history, treasure, a Kodac moment. Independence Day is friends, family, aquaintances, and everyone around you gathering together and celebrating what this country stands for." Davey took another deep breathe, then said, " Thank you," and stepped down from the stage.

Everyone appluded and cheered. When everything was all over, D, Donna, Tanya, and the team came to congradulate Davey. "You did great son," said D as he patted his son proudly on the back.

Lucy turned to everyone, "Well let's start our party now, so we can finish in time to see the fireworks." Everyone agreed. Bobby turned to D and his family, "You wanna come?" "We'd love to, but we have plans," said Donna and before they left she throw a, "Thanks, though" over her shoulder and they disappeared in the crowd.

The team went into lucy and sue's apartment, and stood in amazement at the place. There were streamers and ribbons or red, white, and blue everywhere. There was food everyone and a cake decorated to look like the US flag. All any could say was, "WoW!" Lucy ushered them in, "Well, don't just stand there come in or we'll be late for the fireworks if you all don't come in!" Everyone got plates and cups and pigged out.

Jack and Sue sat together in a little corner or the room, eating and talking. "You look nice," commented Jack, "Very festivious!" Sue giggled, "You do too! Look at the hair. How did you and Bobby get it so straight?" Jack chuckled. Jack and Bobby's hair was three different colors, on the left was red, the center white, and the right blue.

Bobby and Purnima settled in a nice little corner of the room, too. "So, this is the life of an FBI agent," said Purnima, in referral to the movie, kidnapping, firecracker, chocolate, and the party. Bobby gave his simles that showed those cute little dimples of his, "It's just the beginning, luv."

Lucy, Tara, and Myles watched the four love birds in from the couch. "Mission completed," said Lucy, with satisfaction. Tara smiled. "They didn't need to teach anyone algebra..." Myles mumbled.

Everyone was sitting or standing around the Smithsonian Institution waiting for the fireworks to begin.

Jack and Sue sitting together. "You have no idea how happy you've made me, Sue," said Jack as he gave her hand a light, but gentle squeeze. Sue looked in his eyes.

His eyes,
They tell the his soul:
His fears, hopes, joys, sorrows, and love...

"Only as happy as you've made me Jack." Sue thought, "But if only you would want to spend your life with me. I know it's selfish, but I feel something with Jack that can't prepare myself for. I've been with guys like Tony, I know what they're in for, but nice guys like Jack...I don't know what to do, and that scares me, but I want him, I want this life."

Jack looked into Sue's eyes, "If only I can stare at it forever. Her complete trust and faith and honesty that she has in me is something that I don't deserve. She's always been there for me, and through all my ex'es, but no matter what the outcome, I know she'll always be there. I just want to spend the rest of my life with her, but that's too fast. What if she backs off and runs? I'll not only broke our relationship, but our friendship will never be the same."

BOOM

The fireworks began. All sort of colors and all sorts of designs. Music started playing, couples started dancing and cuddling up next to one another.

Jack could think but how right this song was, it might now have been great for the occasion, but Sue was the spark in his life, and firecracker that wanted to explode with love for him.

Jack and Sue turned to look at each other, "I love you was said at the same time." And the perfect way to end a perfect evening in jack's mind was a kiss to his dear Sue.
