Hi Everyone...This is my first story for the Fourth of July challenges...maybe not my last...
Feedback is ALWAYS appreciated, I will try my best to edit mistakes,and I hope you all enjoy the story...

The story begins where Jacynthe's scene left off...

Sue turned toward Howie, concern and annoyance evident in her eyes, " Howie, Bobby is right. I'm here, I'm staying. I WOULD have eventually told you if- I was going to leave."

Myles took over "Howie, you and Sue are so close-"

"Kinda like brother and sister.I can't believe Sue didn't phone you the second she was offered the job.Why didn't she tell you? I'm perplexed." Bobby added, cracking a smile.

"She didn't tell me." Jack said his thoughts outloud and got many looks from his coworkers. He shook his head in dismay. Hudson, you fool!

"Because of this "bond" that you and Sue have, Howie, I'm sure you will be invited to Sue's wedding...Maybe even in the wedding party?" Tara smirked, playing with another funky pen.

"And maybe, just maybe, Sue will feel obligated to name her first child after you, Howie." D finished.

Lucy shuddered, Howie Hudson?

"I can hear it now," Lucy said "Hunny, mommy named you Howie after an informat that works for the FBI...No, sweetie, he wasn't a good guy,but lets not tell anyone on the playground...wouldn't want that flying around the school."

Bobby said "Makes you wonder what the female version of Howie is: Howissa, Howia?"

"Of course, it could only be named Howie or Howissa or whatever, IF the father...If JACK approved." All eyes turned towards Ottis, who, up to seconds ago, remained silent.

"What?,"He shrugged innocently. The team eyed each other.

Howie cleared his throat akwardly "Ehmm..Ottis,you -funny- guy..." A slight pause "Okay, okay Sue, so I wasn't the first person on your list-"

"Neither was I." Jack cut in, quietly. Only Howie heard it.

"Okay, neither was Jack.Back to the point. Sue,I would really appreciate it if next time, IF there is a next time,I didn't have to find out from a homeless man on the street."

Sue shook her head and laughed "Will do Howie," the whole time eyeing Jack, trying to read his expression.

Howie turned to leave, having finished his official business with the FBI. But Sue said "I'm sorry, Howie, but I'm not naming my first child Howie;or any form of it.And it would have nothing to do with whether Jack would allow it or not."

By now, Sue was crimson, but the looks on her teamates' faces were well worth her embarassment, especially Jack Hudson,staring at his computer screen.Sue couldn't tell whether he was going to burst into tears, or explode into laughter.

However, after a moment he looked up,having gained his composure, and their eyes met for a second, before each akwardly looked away.

Howie turned and touched Sue's shoulder "I agree with you, Sue.I always wanted to change my name to Warrick, but I have yet to." The team shook their heads "We've got to go, our business runs 24-7.Hey, what are you all doing for Independance day?"Howie asked,skeptically

Tara spoke up first "Oh, nothing much."

"We're not sure,"Bobby said

"Family commitment,"chimed D

"I'm with Sue,"Jack said

Sue nodded, eyebrows pressed together and Lucy said "Levi"

"Too bad,guys" Howie said, not sincere "Ottis and I have 4th row seats, and 10 extra tickets to the Wizards game.But, ahh, have fun, whatever you plan on doing."

"Howie!,"the team said exasperated

"He's starting to think like one of us,"Sue said, approvingly

"Thats the scary part,"Jack replied.

As I'm not a US citizen,I'm not quite sure if there is any games on independance day...If not, then I guess we'll just say it happens in Laura's fanfic land.!

Sue sat at her desk, hours later, the rush of excitement dwindled from her.She absently clicked her pen,and Jack was busy cleaning his desk.

Myles stood up, having run his hand across his face, making sure any pen was not visible.

"I find it hard to believe that,a few days before we thank our country for the independance we have, that my peppy,happy,joking, and flirting teamates turn into these quiet, reserved,grumpy wallowers."

Lucy threw down the water bottle she had been scrunching "We can't be like you everyday, Myles."

Bobby tried to hide a smile, but it seeped through.Tara looked up,having let the piece of hair fall from her hands.

"Myles,you HAVE the largest house out of us all.You have the deepest pockets.Please, why can't we just meet at your-"

"Tara,no we can't.Listen to me, I'm sure if I brought you guys over, Webber would say I had broke some rule, violation, or law. I swear that man plans how to torture me while he lays in bed at night,unable to sleep-."

"That's a scary thought."Lucy said

"That mand should get a life,"Tara said, shaking her head warily

Myles glared at her "My house is O-U-T out..You'll thank me later. 'Life's greatest blessings are the tragedies that we never know.' Tragedy?! More like catastrophe!I could have saved your lives, your careers.You never know with Webber" Myles sighed and ran his hands through his hair.
"Well..oh, what about Tara's place?"

Tara looked up quickly. "Me, a good hostess.No, I'm going to have pass on that one,Myles." She looked apoligetically at her teamates and said "I assume Bobby's place is out of commision too."

Bobby shook his head in agreement "My landlord's a tough old bird, and he's having the whole place renovated over the next month or so.Sorry," he said.

Sue turned to Jack "And you're reason..."

Jack looked up at her defiantly "I happen to live on a bachelor PAD, Ms.Thomas,which is just good for that: A bachelor...not a slew of people..But, ah, your and Lucy's apartment is big enough, you ARE the landlords,you're great hostesses, AND your neighbours don't bother you.It sounds perfect."

Jack had Sue, good.Sue didn't have a good excuse.She turned to Lucy, who signed

"It suits me fine...you?"

"Okay,"she signed 'for now."

Sue and Lucy were sitting in the car the next morning.Lucy turned to Sue "Sue, we need to know how many people will be coming...We have less than three days to plan."

Sue scrunched up her nose "I thought it will be just,well,us."

Lucy laughed at her friend, who,she knew, was thinking that "us" would be her and Jack.

Lucy shook her head and said "We have to give people the option.We never know, Jack and Allie could be.." Lucy signed, On again

Sue, forgetting that Lucy knew many signs, and had taken courses, signed to herself, I hope not.

Then, realizing her mistake,Sue bit her bottom lip and said "You didn't see anything, right."

Lucy smiled, and Sue was sure Lucy would have stretchmarks left behind once that smile fell off her face.

Sue got out of the car, took Levi out of the back seat, and said "Well, it looks like while we're chasing down criminals, we will be planning party in our spare time.."

"Lets go, buddy- Morning, Jack" Sue said,as Jack met them in the parking lot.Lucy could tell,as the two chatted on their way upstairs, this had brightened Sue's day.

Lucy decided to go in the front entrance;she'd noticed a cute clerkman,and she thought she would give her best friend some time alone with the man of her dreams.
The last thing Lucy Dotson wanted to be was a third wheel, and she was NOT going to let that happen.

Lucy took the stairs....

The team cheered later on in the afternoon as Bobby brought in Krispy Kremes after lunch.

"This,Shielas, is for, another win for the good guys." The team had caught yet another criminal,who was put behind bars.

Sue went over and sat on the edge of Jack's desk.

"Lucy and I are TRYING...-being the keyword- to figure out what we will do for Independance Day, but first, we need to know how many people will be coming...So, we have so far Lucy,Me, Jack,Tara,Bobby, and Myles.Will any of you be bringing dates?"

Sue bit her lower lip as she waited. Myles went to speak up first, but Lucy said "We know your answer..." Myles sighed and was about to say something else when Bobby said

"Tara, will we be seeing Stanley?" Tara shook her head and said "This, wasn't how I was going to tell you this, but Stanley...has transferred for good...We broke it off last week.I'll be by myself."

A look was passed between Bobby and Tara which did not go unnoticed by Sue. The team akwardly offered their condolenses, but Tara said

"Anyways,can we expect to see Darcy?"

Bobby inhaled and said "Sadly, she isn't in town this weekend." Bobby knew that the men on the team knew a little of what had happened, but not details.He didn't need to deal with that right now.

Lucy, before Sue had the chance,said "Jack, what about you...been rejected lately?"

Jack sheepishly grinned and replied "No,I haven't, but I don't have a date either."

Sue nodded her head and said "So, it looks like Lucy and I will be the only ones with a date."

"What?" The team said in unison

Jack thought I've lost her again

Sue replied, a little offended "What? I am a single woman, bringing a date.Lucy and I gave you all a choice."

Lucy started "Sue-" This would be the oh so perfect opportunity we've been waiting for!

Sue said "Like Jack said,I AM a hostess,it is MY party, and I choose to bring my date"


"And who would that be,Sue?" Jack finally spoke up,unable to take anymore.

Sue laughed "Need you ask? Levi, of course."

Hi Everyone, again...Just finished my exam yesterday, and I have been trying to think of what to do for this fanfic...and my original ideas are out the window... I can only post a little bit at a time...Here's the next part...BTW..not sure if the timelines match up, but it is Saturday, and Independance day is on the Monday. (In my world, at least)

Sue fumbled for her keys "Luce, have you seen them? Jack is at the door."

Lucy picked up the keys off the coffee table and threw them into Sue's awaiting hands. Sue smiled, and Lucy raised her eyebrows and signed Have a good time Sue signed back Lucy, we're meeting you at the restaurant. Sue continued "In fact, if you'd have woken up the same time as me, you wouldn't have to get dressed and dry your hair."

Lucy ushered her back to the door where Jack and Levi stood. "See you there" Lucy said, as she gave Jack a secretive wink. Jack nodded, and the three; Sue and her two men, were gone.

Lucy shut the door, and went back to the living room. She turned on the radio, and sat on the couch.When she was sure Sue wasn't coming back, she stood up, went into the bathroom, and took the towel off of her head.She smiled at her reflection as she brushed her dry hair. She took off her housecoat, and was happy with her choice of wardrobe,black pants and a green sweater. It was just a little white lie, Lucy told herself, and she shook her head.

"She must be over the moon by now" Lucy smiled, and said "Jack will be too."

She ran her hands through her hair, and went back to the living room. "I'll wait a few minutes before heading out to the restaraunt to make it realistic. After all, its me." She turned her atttention back to the radio.

Lucy listened to the announcer and thought the song was a song written for Jack and Sue.They'd have to dance to that someday,she thought.

The announcer continued

Today is the last day for our Independace Day Trivia challenge. If you have not won anything from DC 104.9 in the last 30 days, call us at 555-0227.

Lucy sighed "Radio contests.I've never been good at those"

Up for grabs this morning we have 4 final tickets for the Beautiful Boat Cruise on the Potomac...The cruise begins at 4:00 in the afternoon,you'll enjoy a beautiful view of Washington DC,have a meal to die for, and then relax until the firworks later in the evening.A very prestigious package,valued around $400.

The announcer's voice droned on. And you never know, some politicians and the likes have been sighted on this exact cruise

Lucy ran for the phone... "What was the number?"

The number again is 555-0227.We'll take caller number 4

"Four?Okay...Lucy, work your magic, GET IN THERE What a great way to spend Independance Day."

She said to herself. This is such a great idea...Sounds romantic.

She tried over and over, but all she got was that annoying bysy signal"Come on"

She redialed one last time, and it rang
A man on the other end picked up the phone,

"DC 104.9 Whats your name?"

Lucy sighed in relief and spoke "Lucy Dotson"

"Okay, lucy, as soon as we come back, you'll be on the air.You're caller number 4"

Lucy held her breath, jumping up and down.

Its now 8:17 on this beautiful Saturday morning, and on the phone with me is Lucy, Good moring Lucy.

"HI"

Lucy, what do you do for a living?


"I work for the FBI"

The announcer laughed. You should know this.Okay lucy, your question is "Please state a part of the declaration of Independance.

Lucy laughed, sighed, thought, and then said "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Cheers were heard on the radio and the announcer said, "Congratualtions, Lucy, you've won the prizepack.Seems right that people working to protect us, get thanked on this day.


Lucy smiled, got more information about the cruise, and then agreed to pick up the tickets.

She was about to leave for breakfast, when she remembered that there were only 4 tickets,instead of six.

The phone rang

"Hello"

"Lucy, its Myles.I just heard you,Great job"

"Thanks Myles.I've never been on the radio before, but I really wanted those tickets."

They shared a laugh.

"Myles, um..listen, I have to tell everyone, but I was thinking, since there are only four tickets,we should,um, let Bobby and Tara, Jack and Sue go, um, you know, since there is....well, Myles, you understand what I'm saying, right?"

Myles said " I do, but Lucy Dotson, you really don't know me, do you? I'm already one step ahead of you"

Myles stood outside the restaurant, waiting for Lucy. The rest of the team had already arrived before him, and shortly after being seated he excused himself, saying he needed fresh air.

Tara, Bobby Jack and Sue didn't seem to mind in the least and Myles huffed, thinking about how unobviously obvious they were all being. A true Romantic at heart, an FBI agent in the head, he knew love when he saw it.

He thought he saw it too, as Lucy walked up to him after parking her car.But he let the thought pass.He had tried that once unsuccessfully.The only thing worse than to have her heart broken once, was to have her heart broken twice, by the same man. And Myles Leleand the third would not stoop that low to hurt Lucy.He cared for her too much.

Lucy gave him a quizzled look, and he smiled, wishing the thought would die.And it did,eventually.

"Did you get the tickets from the radio station?" Myles asked

Lucy shook her head "Yep.Alot has happened since Sue left, she'll be surprised."

"They all will" Myles said

Lucy sniffed impatiently and then said 'Myles, what is it that you wanted to wait until now to tell me."

Myles smiled despite her snotty attitude. Good Old Lucy

"Well,Ms.Dotson, I know ALOT of fluential people, and it may surprise you, but I can do simple math equations"

Lucy rolled her eyes

"I came to the conclusion that there were six of us, and four tickets.So, I called in a few favours, spoke to some people of importance,and because of my NATURAL Leland Charm,-"

another roll of the eyes

"-was able to get us tickets on the exact boat cruise that our friends will be on."

"But,how...I don't understa-"

"You don't have to Lucy, you're not a Leland, you don't know our ways."

Lucy smiled and hugged Myles.He may have been a jerk, but she would forget the past for a second.

She let go, and turned to walk inside, a bounce in her quick step.

"Thanks Myles, I owe you one."

Myles smiled and handed over the tickets.

He'd call his sister later to thank her for the favour Lucy appreciated so much, that she had hugged him, for the first time in nearly three years.

Sue awoke Monday morning with a smile upon her face..She quickly recounted the last two days.

The team had been thrilled to learn that they were going on a free cruise,and Sue and Lucy were relieved to know that they didn't have to be the hostesses, much to Jack's dismay

"Its formal?I was looking forward to being in shorts and a plaid t-shirt!" Sue was inticed by his choice of wardrobe, but she decided he'd look much better in something less casual.

"Why don't all of the guys go shopping together, help each other pick out clothes,say what looks best on each other, you know, like women do."

Jack turned to Sue "Because women also cry all through cheesy chick flicks.Sue, a real man, doesn't say to another real man 'Yo, Bobby, does this make my butt look weird'.No, they either go by themselves, or they have women come along."

"Done", Sue said, finishing her eggs in the restaurant

"What?" Jack asked

"Hey, Sue," Bobby said, interupting her very in depth, important conversation with Jack

Lucy tapped Sue on the shoulder, and she turned her attention to Bobby

"Didn't you girls go out and buy all the food for Independance Day last night?"

Sue scrunched up her nose, and Lucy said "I forgot! What are we going to do with that?!"

Jack leaned forward "Bobby and I are willing to eat.We understand that its a tough job, but hey, someone has to do it, right?"

Sue laughed, and then thought. "Great.So, we all go out shopping, find Jack something to wear, then we," pointing to the three girls "run off, find outfits, meet up with you, you guys," this time, pointing to the men " come back to our apartment, we have supper, then...watch a movie."

Jack and Bobby nodded their heads, but Myles looked at his watch and said "I can't.My reputation will be ruined while shopping with...."he pointed to Jack and Bobby. Myles flailed his hands 'there is no word for THAT. and besides, I have an improtant meeting....with my mother."
He got up, said his goodbyes and left.

Later on in the mall, Lucy had decided to scout out all the good dress stores, while Tara helped bobby, Sue helped Jack.

Tara stood up.She was speachless.Agent Bobby Manning looked dazzling in a tux.But of course, she already knew that, from their "first" date.

Bobby eyed himself in the mirror, said "Great, that'll work.I don't have time for this." Tara walked up to him and said "I couldn't agree more. I mean, that it looks great on you, not the fact that we don't have time for this, because we have all the time in the world, well,not ALL the time, because you know we have to sleep,and then there's the cruise and-" Bobby silenced her with a quick kiss, neither had seen coming.Tara always got tongue tied around Bobby, but now, this must be a new knot, Tara thought, breaking away from the kiss. Bobby smiled,winked and headed to the changeroom to get dressed.

Meanwhile Jack wasn't having as well of a time, neither was Sue. Jack came out. At first glance he looked okay, but then as Sue looked closer, she could see his buttons we mismatched, much like a small child's.

Sue laughed in his face and went to help him.She unbuttoned each button, revealing, to her delight,his bare chest.She took longer than necessary to fix the buttons, saying the buttons weren't co operating,and, how they should spend more time on the quality of the cheap buttons. She was fooling no one, however, as Jack Hudson knew how to button his own buttons.In fact, the only thing he didn't know how to do, is tell the woman with her hands on his chest, that he loved her. The buttons were a start.

The finally found something for Jack to wear, they went to the food court where all of the girls met up, told Jack and Bobby that they would be back soon.

Bobby said "This is what it would be like to be married."

"Yep" Jack said, dreamily

"I guess I wouldn't mind,kissing Tara everyday." He smiled, and Jack could tell SOMETHING had happened in that changeroom.What, he didn't know, and he had no desire to find out.

A mere three and a half hours later, the women returned apologetically. They went to Sue's apartment, where the men wanted to see the dresses, but Tara said

"No"

"Why not?"

"Its a girl thing" Lucy said.They rolled their eyes.

They had a delicious dinner, and then settled for a movie.A chick flick.And Sue was happy to see that in the end,even Jack had tears in his eyes. Agent Manning had been weeping through the whole thing.

Tara William's house, 3:00 PM

"Come on, Tara, do you wear the silver heals, black heals or red heals?"

She examined herself in the mirror critically.She had fallen in love with the cocktail,midnight blue dress the day before, but she began second guessing herself.

"Definately not red" she said, "I hate silver, so black it is."

She ran in her heals to put on her jewellery,ran a brush through her styled hair, and nearly killed herself on the way downstairs to answer the door.

She regained her composure, grabbed her handbag, opened the door, and Bobby smiled at the panting woman in front of him.

"Tara,I can wait down here if you want."

She shook her head, and they made polite conversation as they headed toward the boat cruise in the car.

Lucy Dotson, Sue Thomas Apartment

Lucy smiled at her friend, laughing at how cute Sue was when she was nervous. In the last hour she had asked how she looked 20 times, double checked that another 10 times, and asked every two minutes what time it was.

Lucy had to give it to her though.She looked beautiful in her short creme coloured dress.Sue smiled at Lucy,who was wearing a red dress, red shoes.

Lucy signed "DOOR" and Sue took one last breath before seeing Jack.

Jack smiled at her and signed YOU BEAUTIFUL. Sue blushed, but managed to sign THANK YOU. SHe turned to Levi and said "Sorry Levi, you're no longer my date.There are better men out there for me" She turned and smiled back at Jack.

Lucy shooed them out, after assuring them that myles would be picking her up shortly after. The doorbell rang, and Lucy did a double take in the mirror. SHe smiled, and opened the door, exposing for her eyes,Myles, with a woman on his arm.

"Lucy, you remember Nora, right?"

"Wow" Tara whispered as she looked at the boat she would be on.Bobby whistled approvingly.

Jack and Sue came up to the two after parking their car. Sue sighed and said

"This bring back fond memories,sparky?"

Jack stuck his tongue in his cheek and smiled "The Potomac and me go WAY back."

Sue rasied her eyebrows and looked at her watch, worried as to Lucy's whereabouts.

She arrived 25 minutes later, with Myles...and Nora. Sue swore she could see the steam coming out of Lucy's ears.

Myles cleared his throat and said "Everyone, you all remember Nora?"

The team nodded, slightly puzzled,and Myles went on to explain. "I had another ticket,so I figured Nora could come along too."

Lucy's look was to kill, and Sue knew if this wasn't handled properly,it would ruin Lucy's entire night. Lucy did alot for her, and although most of it had to do with crazy scemes and setups between her and Jack,Sue knew Lucy had her interest at heart.And the feeling was mutual with Sue.

Sue signed to Tara,who was by now, a good signer GIRLS HELP LUCY before Lucy had time to notice. Jack saw this, however, and nodded.

Tara suggested "Well, all...1,2,3-all 7" she said the words unsurely "should board the boat. We don't want to be late."

The boat left the dock quickly after,and the team gathered in the restaurant for dinner.

Before the meal, a speaker had spoke to them and asked them to reflect on the meaning of Independance day, and to have a moment of rememberance for those who had fought and died for the independance fo everyone in the room. Sue thought it was touching.

The meal was being served table by table.

Sue took this as the perfect opportunity."Lucy, why don't we go to the little lady's room." Lucy glared, but her eyes softened at the idea.

Tara shut the door to the woman's washroom

"Lucy-I'm-not-sure-of-your-middle-name-right-now-Dotson, what is bothering you? PLease please don't tell me Myles."

"Luce,whats wrong?You and Myles tried this before, and if memory serves me right, it didn't turn out well." Sue added

Lucy ran her fingers through her hair "You two..have what I wanted, WANT with Myles."

Tara and Sue looked at her in horror, and Sue said 'Did I read you right?Either you said 'You want Myles' or 'You have what I want with Myles.'"

Lucy spawled her hands at them "Not WITH Myles! You two don't see the way I see.Tara,I'm not sure what's going on with Bobby, but I'm a matchmaker at heart,and I know you're hiding something from us."

Tara blushed "And Sue, you and jack are perfect for each other.Jeesh, you;re like Barbie and Ken, FBI style.I want you to be happy...You have it made...ANd while you two go off and get married,I'll be an old maid..."

Tara and Sue spent time reassuring Lucy she would not be an old maid...

Sue hugged her, and Lucy calmed down... "Myles isn't right for me anyways."


The girls shook their heads, and headed back to the table.

The dinner was delicious, and Tara and Bobby played a mean game of footsies under the table, getting Jack and Sue by accident many many times. Nora and Myles sat on one side of the table,with Tara.On the other side of the table was Bobby, JAck and Sue.

Sue had a hard time reading everything, but Jack was like her Levi.

Sue turned to him and said "You know,put a collar on you,die your hair blonde, and you could be my Levi."

Jack nodded and whispered 'Woof."

Sue laughed outloud and then said "I wonder who would look funnier in the bath tub."

Sue's eyes went wide as Jack choked on his water. lucy coughed, and just as Bobby was firing up to say some snide remark, Tara swung her leg back underneath the beautifully decorated table and nearly broke his ankle as he let out a small gasp.

Sue didn't even try to explain. She ate her food in silence for the rest of the meal, but the smile shared between Jack and her told her everything that mattered to her was okay...And she'd take more embarassment anytime,for Jack..

Hours later, Sue and Tara had beaten Jack and Bobby at three games of pool. Nora and Myles were no where in sight,and Sue predicted that Cupid's arrow had pierced through the tough skin of Myles. Sue took in the beautiful decor of the boat, and they all wandered over the ship, as curious as little kids.

Lucy was standing at the front of the boat,letting the cool wind rush into her eyes. She knew she'd find the perfect guy one day. She saw Myles and Nora up on the second Deck,but didn't give either a second glance

She went to turn to find everyone else, when a young, handsome man came up to her.

"Hi, My name is Matt" Lucy smiled, and introduced herself. She knew his first name, now she needed to know if his last name was Right.

Nora looked into Myles' eyes, seeing him staring at Lucy

"Myles, thank you for inviting me here, but...I think I'm not who should be here with you. She should be...And we all know it. Thanks again, I'm going to go now. I'll be fine"

Myles had intended to interupt her many times, but he knew it was no use. She was right. He smiled at her as she walked away, and he climbe the steps downstairs.

Tara and Bobby were seated, waiting for the fireworks that would erupt the sky soon.

Tara looked up and laughed.

Bobby looked at her perplexed. She went on to explain "We're going under a bridge."

Bobby saw no humour in that and said "Thats funny Tara, good one."

Tara rolled her eyes, "Whenever you go under a bridge, you're supposed to kiss someone."

Bobby got a thoughtful look on his face "That woman in her late fifties over there, I think I'll run over and kiss her."

Tara blushed and began "No, a person you like, you know-"

Bobby looked above him and saw the bridge moving past. He quickly grabbed Tara and brushed his lips with hers. At that moment, the Sky became alive with colour and they each broke away to admire the artwork before them, still wrapped in each others arms. Bobby was right, Tara thought Never a dull moment
Bobby felt satisfied with himself and smiled. Thank you America, he thought

The fireworks could be heard exploding and Myles was missing them all, frantically looking for Lucy.

He sighed when he found her, but got a feeling of hatred in his stomach when she saw him giggling with another man.

"They're so gorgeous Matt" Lucy said admiring above, and Matt nodded his head.

"Lucy"

"Hmm?Yes Matt?" Lucy was a little preoccupied with the sky.

"Would you like to go out for dinner?"

Lucy smiled, "That would be wonderful,Matt..I'd like that."

Lucy hugged him, and somehow, by a force of gravity, their lips met and locked.

Myles, a little taken aback, walked away wtih his head down, scuffing his shoes along the way.As far as he was concerned, each eruption in the night sky was his heart breaking over and over again.

Jack and Sue had been watching the fireworks intently, and Jack began to creep closer to Sue,eventually with his arm around her shoulder.

He smiled, and she smiled.

He gently tapped her on the shoulder "Sue, we need to talk"

Sue shook her head. "Jack, can we just enjoy this for right now?Lets live for the moment, not plan for the future.We can discuss this tommorow.This PROBLEM, that I think we both will face will be here tommorow.But this" She pointed toward the sky, touched her dress, and finally to their sitting position "Will only happen once."

"I understand, Sue.There'll be time later."

Sue smiled and said "There's still hope for you, Jack Hudson."

Jack laughed out loud, but leaned over and kissed Sue on the cheek, never removing his arm from her shoulder.

Sue sat in awe, staring at the beauty of the Colours.

That night, there may have been fireworks in the sky on the Potomac, but there were also fireworks in Sue Thomas' heart. And she could tell there would be fireworks,with Jack, in her future.

Jack and Sue didn't get together because I tried to make it as realistic as possible..But I did leave the door open for that option...SRY if any of the ideas were yours before...I can say that I haven't read the other stories thoroguhly...Thanks to everyone for the encouragement...Its done! Umm...I'm pretty sure it is..I went on a cruise last year, and my friend tried to get me and this guy I liked to kiss...Thats what she said...And if you look it up in google, some sites do come up...

So, ya...Maybe its a tale or something..

How sweet! But Myles, I think Lucy was right... break her heart once, shame on you, break it twice, umh, shame on you again -- where was I going with that? Oh, yeah, I don't see the two of them together.

Great story! You've left yourself open to sequel territory with Matt there.
