"So you mean to tell me that blowing out all your credit cards and all that shabang was an act?"

"No, that was, and still is, very real. But somehow, someway, someone found out that I have some knowlege about the darker sides of gambeling."

"So...say this again? It's just not sinking in."

"I have been assigned an undercover where I break into a lottery-rigging ring. And so this time, the guy the casino had chosen to win the money had to split it 50-50 with me. And then when the casino found out about me, they "suddenly discovered that the other winner was ineligible, because he is related to an employee." Or so their letter said."

"So you take it and go Christmas Shopping?"

"Exactly."

They pulled up in front of Bobby's apartment, and he hopped out, pulling his duffel bag over his shoulder. "Thanks, Jack."

"You're welcome. See you Monday."

"Yea, see you."

Jack pulled away, and turned towards D's house. So he doesn't tell us that one of our own agents is going under? I smell a rat.

He pulled out his cellphone, and called the Gans house. "Hello Tanya, is you father home? ... Could you put him on please? ... Thanks ...Hello, D! Listen, I have some office business I would like to drop by and talk to you about if it isn't a problem. Is that ok? .... All right, thanks! See you in a bit then.

As Jack passed his bank, a thought occured to him that set his teeth on edge. If he put all that money into his Christmas presents, you would think he would at least pay off a chunk of what he owes me.

dry.gif Hm.......Jack has a point, although........my memory isn't clear on whether or not he really expected to ever be paid back......

Let's see what D has to say.

As he shut his door, something in the backseat caught his eye. Great, Bobby forgot one of his bags. I'll just drop it off on my way back. He grabbed the briefcase off the backseat and dropped it onto the passenger seat so he wouldn't forget it. As he did, the tag ruffeled in the air. For: Jackson S. Hudson? What is he up to?

He opened up the case, and gaped. Inside lay hundred-dollar bills, strapped, ordered, and numbered. That jokester!

FIN....finally!
