Please excuse any spelling mistakes im dyslexic and i cant be arsed to get my dictionary for any words i have difficulty with.


Jack and Sue walk back into the bullpen after having had a nice lunch at a restuarant near by. They noticed almost immeadiatly that there was a change in the atmosphere and they also noticed the stunned look on Lucy's face. Sue looked at Jack questioningly. He shrugged his shoulders and walked over to his desk. Sue sat at hers and emailed Lucy.

SUE: Hey Luce whats wrong???

LUCY: Nothing why would anything be wrong im fine!

Sue snorted. SUE: Yeah right thats why you look as if someone just shocked you. Come on tell me whats wrong.

Lucy sighed she should have known she wouldnt be able to hide much from Sue.
LUCY: Garret walked in on me and Myles kissing!?!

Sue gasped and then looked over at her friend with a smirk on her face. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP WITH YOU LAST NIGHT she signed at Lucy after getting her attention.

Lucy just smiled and continued with her work.

Sue had been so busy talking to Lucy that she hadnt seen Jack go out of the room. He had gone to talk to Garret about dating Sue and was shocked to see Bobby and Tara sat outside his office. "What are you doing here?" he asked them curiously.

Bobby and Tara smiled at him and Bobby said, "we need to talk to Garret about sommat...you?"

Jack shrugged and said, "The same here."

They sat in silence and after a few minutes Bobby and Tara were summoned into Garrets office. Jack sat there on his own and contemplated what he was going to say to Garret and about his relationship with Sue. It was about twenty minutes later when he got called into Garrtes office. Bobby and Tara looked shocked and happy at the same time.

Jack sat down and looked at his supervisor. "Sir I need to talk to you about Sue and I....." he paused for a moment before continuing, "I realised something a few weeks ago... I love Sue and yesterday I acted upon my feelings.and I found that Sue loves me.......I asked her to marry me and she said yes...... I guess what im trying to say is that Sue and I are dating and if we have to one of us will transfer"

When Jack had finally stopped babbling Garret was able to reasure him. "Jack I knew that you liked Sue I didnt think you loved but to be frank a lot of people have been waiting a long time for you two to get your act together. as it happens neither of you will have to transfer as it has been decided that the dating rule will be lifted infact as of nine o clock this morning it has been ok for you and miss thomas to date. The only warning i will give you is that i dont want to find you kissing in the bullpen this a work environment and we would like to keep it that way."

Jack was stunned "How.... Why was the rule lifted".

Garret smiled and said, "it was agreed that the rule was old fashioned after someone bought it up."

Jack nodded and after saying bye to Garret left the office. he walked back into the bullpen with a look of wonder on his face. The first thing he did was act upon what he had wanted to do earlier that day. He walked over to Sue and pulled up and kissed her senseless. She didnt notice him take her hand. She felt something cold slid onto her finger and when they finally broke away for air she looked down at her finger and smiled at her ring. It was finally home. She was home, where she belonged in Jack's arms. She had never felt more complete than she did at that moment.

Hurray!!! And Jack couldn't figure out why Bobby and Tara were at Garrett's office? Guess the man is blind for love!!! Kissing Sue senseless in the bullpen....don't know if that's wise - better make sure Garrett doesn't walk into them as well!!!

I just caught up on your posts!! I love Myles and Lucy getting caught by Garrett!! Yes, I agree with Mirjam, Jack couldn't put two and two together with Bobby and Tara??

Kissing Sue senseless in the bullpen?? I have a feeling that just this once Garrett wouldn't mind!!!

They pulled apart when they felt the need for air. Sue stood there in shock Jack had just kissed her in the bullpen...in front of their friends. She looked at their friends and smiled shyly. They were clapping and Lucy was saying it was about time they got their act together. Jack looked at her and she nodded.

"Sue and I have an annoucment to make...... were engaged" Jack said happily.

The shouts and whoops echoed through out the room and it was as she was watching her friends happy faces and obvious joy at their news that she noticed something. Bobby and Tara were hugging. When everyone calmed down enough she saw Bobby grab Tara's hand.

"So are we mate" Bobby smiled at his friends. The crowd that gathered watched these revelations with joy. There was a lot of talking and a lot discussion going on through out the crowd. Mainly about who had won various office pools over Jack and Sue.

Sorry if it sucks i can never get the chapters near the end right and i will warn you all in advance i suck at endings. Read the next chapter at your own risk. I will post this and run.

Later that day.

Myles sat in the park with Lucy enjoying the comfortable silence between them as they ate. He had wanted to wait until the right moment to propose to her but was fats learning that there was no right time. Nervously he got up and pulled Lucy uop with him. He then procecded to get down on one knee. He could only hope that this wasnt to fast for her. He knew that he wanted to be with her for the rest of his life and that was never going to change. His grandmother had been the only person in his life that didnt care for money of position in society nad had often told him about true love and how he would know when he had found his soul mate. He knew that Lucy was his soul mate. His grandmother had been right in every way when she had said he would know. "Lucy I love you I always will love and I know that nothing will change my feelings for you. I want you in my life for eternity, and i have never been as sure as I am now about something. I will understand if what I am about to ask you is too much too soon, but it just feels right to ask you now.....Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife." Myles held his breath while he waited for her answer and just when he was about to admit deafet that it was too soon she shocked him.

"Yes Myles I would love to become your wife, I love you too and I always will." She got down on her knees and kissed him. She knew she was crying but she couldnt help it she was so happy. She had no idea how much she wanted this until he had asked her and now she was about to do everything in her power to keep it. This man was her future. He was everything to her, he was the man God had made for her and her alone.

They pulled apart and Myles looked at the tears on her cheeks and asked, "Lucy my dear why are you crying?"

She smiled and replied simply "Because I'm so happy".

It had taken one day, one simple tradition from Tara on this one special day for them to come to their senses. Three years of fighting for the ones they loves had come to a sweet end for the team as they all reflected later that night while being with the ones they loved. This was definately the start of something good and the one thought that ran through their minds that night was that they had left NOTHING TO CHANCE.
