After few seconds bobby’s voice came through the other side of the door...

“Sparky are you and the Sheila alright in there.”Asked bobby concerned recognized in his voice...

“We are fine.” jack said as he straightened his clothes and sue hers while doing that sue placed her fingers on his lips as she rubbed the lipstick off …as soon as they were done and looked at each other and knew they were decent enough to leave the room without their before disheveled selves…..

They walked out of the room as jack unlocked the door ….

“Sheila if jack did anything inappropriate you know me well jack did you say something that you regret.” booby asked with a smirk on his face...

“No bobby I didn’t ...now zip it will ya…cause of you now I have to face Eleanor rippendorf howie I can deal with but Eleanor is another set of things that drive you crazy.”

“So are you going on a lunch date with Eleanor or not because its time sparky and you know ladies they never what the men to be late for their first lunch date together.” that being said he earned himself a slap on the head from jack as they entered the bullpen …

Jack went back to his desk while bobby and sue went to their respective desks with a satisfied grin on her face sue went back to work….

After some time jack stood up and cleared his desk …he glanced over to sue and winked at her as he caught her looking his way ….

“Well I am off now if any one needs me please don’t hesitate to call if any thing please you have my cell right ...”jack asked the team as he was looking from bobby to Lucy who now settled near Sue’s desk to Myles and Tara as well as D who looked up from their desks with grins that matched all the faces around the bullpen…..

“Well sparky you sound like a man that is to going to be fed to the barracudas now stop stalling and go the woman is waiting for you.”Bobby said with a smirk on his face...
Jack looked at sue and saw her sign for him only “sorry I love you.”

“Good luck man.”D came and patted jack on the back before he went to settle down on his chair chuckling as he picked up a file pretending to read it ….

“bye …”jack said before moving out of the bullpen and to meet his so called lunch date that he has been dreading …

I think someone needs to call jack in the middle of this lunch thing

Think Jack may need rescuing, hopefully someone on the team will feel sorry for him and decide there is an urgent case for his attention...

well here is lunch everyone ...now its my lunch time so.....here it is ......

He walked into “le bistro” as he looked around he saw it was packed with people…he checked to see of anyone by the name of Eleanor rippendorf was here…

“I am sorry sir but she hasn’t checked in yet.”said the waiter in the front desk....

“Thanks and could I please get a table.” asked jack

"off course sir right this way.."he followed one of the waiters that led him to a table for two in the back of the restaurant that is also know as the love corner…

“Excuse me do you have any other available table instead of this one.”Jack asked the waiter as he saw the table the waiter directed him too...

“I am sorry sir but this table was requested by Miss Rippendorf herself please have a seat.” the young man said as he left a dreadful jack alone at the table…

“Oh great …she thinks I am going to express my undying love for her this is just great "…he knew that this was bobby’s going ….."Bobby manning my name won’t be jack Hudson if I don’t repay the favor.” jack though to himself with a big mischievous grin that formed...

He saw at the corner of his eyes Eleanor approaching…”this is it...the time of truth….

Eleanor entered “le bistro” and immediately skimmed the room for jack and she found him at the back of the restaurant sitting at the love corner “they went to all the trouble to arrange this…. I must give them credit for that …” she approached jack and jack stood up …

“Good afternoon Eleanor ...”jack said to Eleanor as she gave him her hand and jack being a perfect gentleman kissed it and held the chair for Eleanor so she could get settled…after seeing her get settled jack went back to his chair and sat down as the waiter came to take their orders…

“Good afternoon my name is Sam and I will be your waiter this afternoon what can I get you.” after few minutes Sam noted their orders and went to get their orders ready …so they started talking.....

5 minutes later ...

“So jack or should I call you sparky how you have been all this time I can’t believe I am seeing you again after almost 1 year...”Eleanor said as she tried to make conversation her hand now rested on the table besides jacks…

He saw this and tried to clear the picture out of his head that kept on forming as he couldn’t escape a chuckle that escaped his lips... But Eleanor was to busy talking to hear him chuckle ..…

“So are you still dating Miss Thomas?”Eleanor said with a bit of annoyance and hesitation as she twirled her blonde hair in her fingers ..that jack immediately noticed …but before he could answer someone called his name.........as eleanor and jack turned around....... jack could not believe who he was seeing ........

As Eleanor and jack turned around....... jack could not believe who he was seeing....two women one looking in late forties and the other in late twenties ….the two women made their way towards jack….he stood up as the young girl came running to him and hugged him tightly …

“Hey jack.” said the young lady that now released jack from her grips so the other woman could hug him as well …

“Mom, Em what are you doing here.” jack asked his mother and his little sister surprised to see them both …

“Em I though you had work and all that’s way you don’t visit often.”Jack said with a smirk...

“Oh jacks don’t such a drama queen we would like to meet the woman who stole your heart and I appear to be sitting next to her ...”em said to jack as she turned to look at Eleanor with a grin on her face ..

“Sorry jack has lost all sense of thinking ...My name is Emma Hudson and I am jack’s sister ...And this is our mother Sophie Hudson …please to meet you…”

“It’s nice to meet you dear …hope you don’t mind us interupting by being here.”

“Oh not at all Mrs. Hudson.” Eleanor replied with a shy smile …

“Please call me Sophie …Mrs. Hudson makes me look old.” Sophie said to Eleanor as she smiled a little …

“So how long have you been seeing my big brother for?”

“Ah…”Eleanor started to say as she was cut of by Sophie

“When are you going to set a date for the engagement?” the questions stopped as the waiter approached…..

After some time all the four finished lunch ….Eleanor excused herself as she got called for work a false call so she could flee from there …after leaving the restaurant jack took his mother and sister to his apartment …he started search for his house keys when the door opened sue was standing there …

When Emma saw sue …she immediately squealed and went to hug her...

As soon as jack and Sophie heard squeal they looked up and saw a blonde woman with a smile on her face stand there door wide open …jack couldn’t help but grin as well as his mother ….

“Oh my goodness sue….I haven’t seen you since jack here bought you in Wisconsin for Christmas.” Emma said as she released sue so her mother Sophie could hug her...

“Sue how are you dear does jack treat you right if not then he is in big trouble its good to see you my dear child.”Sophie said as she embraced sue warmly with a smile on her face …that matched all the smiles of the two siblings in the room...

“It’s good to see you too Sophie. “Sue answered as she hugged Sophie back …

“So mom you never answered my question as to why you are here.” jack asked his mom once everyone was settled on the couch….

“Well we heard you needed some help and I bought something with me that I thought would be very useful.” Only for jack the last part as sue was distracted by Emma speaking to her…

“Help …..With what. “Jack suddenly asked…curious

“Well Eleanor off course ...”em said with a smirk on her face… jack noticed the smirk and he immediately recognized it and began to interrogate his sister…..

“How do you know about Eleanor?”

“Well ...I... Well….I…”em started to say as she knew she has been caught…..

“Well well you what??”Jack asked his sister slightly pushing her towards the end of blurting out everything just like she did when she was small…..

“Jack stop interrogating her...”sue said as to come in Emma’s defense...

“They came here to visit you jack and you Mr. big brother here interrogate your sister…poor girl ...what she must have gone through to life with you all those yours.. “Sue answered trying to be serious as she shakes her head but could not escape a grin that came as jack winked at her

“Yeah you tell him sue …oh by the way jack where my twenty bucks you owe me.”Em said with a grin...

“Twenty bucks have you lost your mind or something when did I owe you twenty bucks...”Jack asked as he simply stared at his sister with his eyes wide open...

“Oh you don’t remember …you remember the spring of 1982 when you were in college and came home for spring break …”


~~Flashback~~

21st march 1982 –spring break ….

Flowers were blooming …the weather was just incredible as winter came and winter passed…….

Hudson residence, Wisconsin...

In the living room of this two story house there was a boy and girl sitting on the couch and fighting with each other as both wanted to watch TV but did not like the channel one chose for the other….so they began to fight over the remote when suddenly the bell rang and the boy went to answer the door …the girl seconds later followed her brother to were he had gone only to find him kissed a girl about his age…

“Eeewww I will tell mom...”Shouted as she ran from the hall and into the dinning room...

He turned back and saw his sister leave finally he looked at the girl ….

“Allie I will be right back…”he said as he went to search for his sister...
When he entered the dinning room he saw his little sister sitting by the window in front of the courtyard…over looking the lake the color clear blue and green due to the reflection from the sun…this house was in their family for many generations…

“Hi Em wacha doin…”As jack cautiously asked her as he looked at his sister and she lookig abck at him....

“Don’t you wacha doin me jack …this time no bribe I am not taking a bribe …when ever you say you don’t pay up and I am forced to shut up so you could not get in trouble but not this time dear brother its worth it…oh the look on moms face when I tell her…”Em said as she got up and stood near to jack rubbing her hands together with a mischievous grin on her face..

“Em please you cover for Sam all the time and never for me except for that one time when you caught me smoking in moms garden...”Jack said...

“Jack you burnt the whole garden down and when mom asked who did it you said it was Charlie …poor kitty ...Never knew what happened to him...”16 yrs old Em cried in disbelieve as her mind wondered...

“That was an honest accident…”jack tried...

“You call that an honest accident ……you blamed a cat as well as dad for causing the fire I can’t believe mom and dad believed you.”She said in disbelieve…as jack was given her his puppy dog eyes….

“GeeZ jacks don’t give me that puppy dog eyes….oh …okay…okay I won’t tell mom. But you owe my twenty bucks and you better pay this time…or else ...”she said as she warmed him...

“Thank you thank you …I will don’t worry ...”jack said as he ran off to meet Allie …

“Oh he better not forget this time or he is in for a major adjustment...”She said as she left the room to go watch some television …

Spring break was over …jack still didn’t pay the twenty bucks he owed to Emma …as Emma warned him he had a price to pay...as Emma was about to go to college in a year and half she told her parents that she wanted to see jack’s college and If it was a good college ….so over the weekend she went and she stayed at her bothers small apartment with his roommate for over 3 days before going back…but she knew it was payback time…so the night she was suppose to leave she went over to the answering machine and changed two to three settings and recorded her own message using jack's voice…..

After Emma went back home... …his parents called but nobody was at home so they only got his answering machine….

It was their son’s voice that they heard through the receiver….

Hi. This is jack Hudson…….
If you are the phone company, I already sent the money.
If you are my parents, please send money.
If you are my financial aid institution, you didn't lend me enough money.
If you are my friends, you owe me money.
If you are a female, don't worry, I have plenty of money.

Talk to the phone, the face ain't home; please leave a message, after the tone. BEEP!

“Oh that boy is going to get it...”said his mom

“Sophie calm down dear there might be a reasonable explanation for all of this.”Her husband tried to calm his wife down…

“Samuel this is inexcusable how he can put that on the answering machine…”

Sophie and Samuel Hudson called their son the next day and had a reasonable explanation for the message but that was no excuse as his mother told him so …he came home to help out with his fathers business when ever he had no school as his punishment for the message on the answering machine and as for the garden no one ever knew what or who caused the fire that destroyed Sophie Hudson’s garden..


~~end of flashback~~

Sue and Emma were on the floor from laughing so hard that tears appeared in their eyes…as Emma finished her story Sophie just stood there in her seat looking at jack and again looking over to sue and Emma who were laughing and no way of stopping …jack just sat there looking embarrassed …

Suddenly…Sophie’s voice was heard as Emma looked up and nudged sue to look as well to face an angry mother and a totally embarrassed jack…sue and Emma looked at each other …and sue immediately sat up…

“Sorry jack but we have to go now ...its 1:55 and lunch is almost over we have to return to the bullpen …”sue said as she took jacks hand in hers …she put her suit on and jack put his jacket on …

Sue and jack left after saying quick goodbyes to an angry Sophie and a very funny looking Emma …….
