Hey you guys! I have a big post for you. I have a new office job as a receptionist and there's a lot of downtime so I get a lot written in that time. I hope you enjoy this next post. And I know how much you guys hate fuzzies and all but there is a little bit in there because it couldn't be stopped. So i hope that you're not too mad at me for putting them in here!
Sue blushed at what Jack was implying with his last comment.
"I mean it Sue. You truly are a gorgeous person, inside and out. You are so kind and thoughtful and then there are those big brown eyes of yours. I don't want you to forget that. You are an amazing person."
"Thanks, Jack. But we still need to figure out where you are going to sleep."
"Okay, well since you guys are the ones who lived here first and are paying the rent, I will sleep on the couch."
"Are you sure? Because I certainly don't mind it."
"I'm sure."
With that they got out the extra blankets and sheets and made up the hide-a-bed for Jack to sleep on.
"Are you gonna be warm enough out here?"
"Yeah I'll be fine. Besides I like it being cold while I sleep."
"Jack that's just weird. Normally people like it to be toasty warm when they are sleeping."
"I know. I guess I'm just weird that way."
"Jack can I ask you another question?"
"Sure."
"Are you scared? I mean, with the fact that the prince of terror's sons are after us. I mean I don't know what to think. The bureau is obviously going to do the best they can to protect us, but I dunno I mean they could miss any one little thing."
"You're right Sue. The bureau is not perfect but you're also right about it doing the best it can do. They don't want to lose two agents, and Bobby is not going to let that happen. Him and I, we're best buds, and he loves you like his own little sister. Nothing is going to happen to us, okay?"
"I guess so. I'm just nervous thinking about it."
"Well you don't have anything to worry about. As long as I'm here nothing is going to happen. Believe me when I say that. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to you."
"Thanks Jack. I really appreciate that."
"Are you going to be okay in there all alone? I mean there really isn't anything that could happen when I'm right down the hall. But if you're scared I could come sleep on the floor in there?"
"I wouldn't want you to sleep on the floor, Jack, it's not comfortable sleeping on hard wood."
"I can sleep any where Sue. A hard wood floor is really no different than sleeping in the beds at Quantico."
"If you don't care, my answer is yes, I would feel much better with you on the floor in my room."
"I truly don't mind."
"Thanks, Jack." Sue said as they grabbed his blankets to bring to the floor in Sue's room.
They got him all situated and when he was, she crawled into bed. Just before shutting off the light, she said "Goodnight, Jack. Thanks for being so amazing."
After she shut off the light Jack replied to the darkness "Goodnight, Sue. I love you."
-----
In the morning when Sue was awoke, Jack was still sound asleep. She got up to go to cook breakfast for him and Lucy. Lucy was already awake and cooking when she got out to the kitchen.
"Morning, Luce."
"Good morning. Where’s Jack?"
"He's still sleeping."
"Where?" Lucy asked with a grin.
"Don't get any ideas Luce. He's on the floor in my room. I was scared and I felt safer with him on the floor by my bed."
"On the floor, huh?"
"Yes, on the floor."
"What's on the floor?" Jack asked as he emerged from Sue's bedroom.
"Oh, Lucy asked where you disappeared to, and I was just telling her that you were asleep in my room on the floor." Sue replied as her cheeks turned pink.
"I got ya. So who's cooking breakfast this morning because it sure smells amazing."
"We both are. I started it but now that Sue's up she's helping me with it."
"Can I ask you ladies a question? Why on earth are you up so early on a Saturday morning? I mean seriously it only 7:30 and it's a weekend. If you're up this early today what time do you get up for work?"
"First of all yes you may, secondly I'm up because I am getting together with my Grams to go shopping today and Sue's up because she's a morning person. And the answer to the last question is 6:00."Lucy replied.
"Man, you are awfully chipper for 7:30 am!"
"Yeah, well get used to it buddy, you don't know how long you are going to be here for."
Lucy left at 9:00 to meet her grandmother, which meant Jack and Sue would be home all day alone.
"So what do you want to work on first? I'm thinking we should plan the parties for both of them since those are coming up the fastest."
"Sounds good to me."
"I have no idea where to even start. I have never had to plan a bachelorette party before, so I don't even know what we should do."
"Okay well I already know what I am doing for Bobby. So we need to figure out what you want to do for Tara-"
"Wait, you already know what you're going to do for Bobby? Care to fill me in?"
"Not really but I will anyways," Jack said with a smile, "Alright, well I plan on doing the same thing I did for my brother-in-laws. We took him to a strip club and there was one girl that he was totally 'into' per se and they flirted and she gave him a lap dance and what not. We then got him totally hammered and brought him home. The next morning when he woke up, that same stripper was in his bed with him and then my sister walked in the room." The look on Sue's face at this point was sheer terror. "Sue, don't worry. We hired that striper to come to his apartment that morning before he woke up and had her crawl into his bed with him. We told my sister all about it that's why she walked in. They didn't do anything but we wanted him to think they did, so my sister played up that she was all mad and even went so far as to throw her engagement ring at him and walk out of his room. He ran out into the hall and all of us were standing there with a video camera to see his reaction. It was priceless to say the least." (AN: all caps mean it's something being signed)
"Jack, that is absolutely terrible! You could have given him a heart attack, doing that to a person. All I can say is... that would be HILARIOUS! Bobby would die if that happened to him. But you better make sure that Tara knows about it and that Lucy and I get to be there to see his reaction!"
"DEAL!" Jack signed as they both burst out laughing.
After they calmed down from their fit of laughter Jack said "So now we just have to figure out what to do with Tara's party. The only thing I can really think of is just do the usual stripper and drinking. I don’t really know what else there is to do."
"Oh I think I have an idea."
"Okay, let's hear it."
"Well first of all I'd take her to a nice dinner and have everything go perfectly smoothly. She would start wondering why I wasn't doing anything really outrageous. I'd take her back to her apartment then and we'd all just sit there having a couple drinks and just talking like normal. Then all of the sudden there would be a knock on her door. It would be a guy dressed as…a plumber…original right?" Sue said with some sarcasm in her voice, "Then Tara would be like well I didn't call a plumber and there's nothing wrong with my plumbing. And then all of the sudden, bam, there go his clothes."
"Sue, I'm shocked to see this side of you. Supporting a stripper?"
"Yes well I never said I supported the idea but I do think it would be rather funny to see their reactions. I mean truly when I get married I hope they don't get a stripper for me. I would probably die of embarrassment." Sue said as her face turned red.
Jack just laughed at her and said how about some lunch? I'm getting kind of hungry."
"Sure that sounds good about now."
"Where do you want to go?"
"Oh, I can just cook. It'll be cheaper than going out."
"Yeah it would be cheaper but it doesn't matter because I'm buying."
"Jack you don't need to buy me lunch when I can just as well cook us something here."
"Yes, but consider it repayment for putting up with me for a while."
"Oh you don't have enough money to repay me for that kind of punishment." Sue said as she turned to walk towards the door.
"Okay…I guess I had that one coming!" Jack said as he followed her.
