Ok so my great idea fell through, but I do have another idea thats not as great but it should be okay. THanks for all of those who have hung around waiting for me to post so here is my first post to my story.

It was five o'clock and everyone was packing up to head home from the office for the night.
"Alright everyone, we decided on a date," Bobby said with his fiancée on his arm. "It's going to be June 23rd."
"That's only a month away!" Lucy said, "We have so much to do. This calls for a girl’s night in, to plan." Tara and Sue both agreed.
"Well if you Sheila’s are having a girls night in we're just gonna have to have a guy’s night out."
"Well with how much fun that sounds, Davey has a band concert tonight so I will be attending that."

The girls left and decided to go to Tara's apartment. Sue road with her as Lucy said she'd pick up the food. "So are you excited?" Sue asked Tara.
"Yeah, Bobby and I are meant to be together I think, because we are so in love."
"I know. You two are so cute together, and you know what to expect from each other since you have worked together for so long."
"Yeah, it's pretty great. And Bobby is so good to me at that. He doesn't ever not have time for me, whether it’s a quick phone call or dinner and a movie. He always takes that time."
"I can't wait till I find that. I want to know what it's like to have a guy who's there all of the time for me and would risk his life for me even to just say hi."
"Well, Sue, you know who does that already?"
"I know. Jack is a good friend of mine and you're right, he would do anything for me, but it's not because we're in love, it's because we're good friends and don't want to see the other one hurting."
"I guess so....."

By this time they had made it to Tara's and Lucy was right behind them with the food. They sat down to eat as they all got out their pens and paper to take notes and put down input. "First things first Tara, What color are you thinking for the wedding?" Lucy asked.
"Well, I have always loved lavender, so I guess that would look nice for dresses."
"Okay, lavender sounds good."
"Ooh, I definitely like that idea. We can find flowers that will match perfectly too." Sue said.
"Most definitely." Lucy said.
“Hey, you guys know what?” Sue said “I have this friend that is a professional bridal consultant. She’s pretty new to the business, but I’m sure she’d have some tips and ideas for us, so I can call her if you’d like me to Tara?”
“That sounds like a great idea. It would help me out with being able to get it all done this quickly and efficiently.”
Sue’s friend Jill had gotten a business degree and her professional bridal consulting certificate in her home state of Minnesota. She recently moved to DC to open her own business so Sue decided to give her a call.

Here is this part at least you guys. I am a pretty slow typer so I figured I'd give myself a head start and you could have this part at least.

Hey guys, I'm glad you like it so far here is the next little bit for ya.

Sue’s friend Jill said that she could come over right then with some books and even get started with the planning. When Jill arrived, she had nearly a dozen books and magazines with her. “Okay, let’s get started with the basics. Tara, if I can get your and your fiancée’s names and numbers down, we’ll work through all of it from the date to the cake until we have everything we need.” She wrote down all of the info and started with the flowers. “Now Tara, are you thinking lavender to match the dresses, or we could go with white or even deep purple flowers to compliment the dresses.”
“I was going to go with lavender to match, but now that you mention it I think white would look very nice.”
“I agree. I was going to suggest it because it’s great for a summer wedding and they look very classy, but then you also don’t have to worry about the many different shades of purple you could end up with. White is just white.”
“Totally, I think that sounds lovely Tara.” Sue replied.
Sue then excused herself for a minute to take a call on her blackberry.
“Luce? While Sue is gone I have to ask you something. You know that the two of you are my BFF’s right?” Lucy nodded, “Well if it’s okay with you, I’d like to ask Sue to be my Maid of Honor. It’s nothing against you, but because I know that Jack will be Best Man, and the Maid of Honor and Best Man do a lot of stuff together I was thinking that…”
“Say no more Tara. I couldn’t agree with you any more on that subject. It sounds great to me.”
“You’re sure there are no hard feelings there?”
“None at all.”
“Okay, but I still want you to be a brides maid Luce.”
“Of course!” Lucy reached over and gave Tara a hug as Sue walked back into the room.
“What did I miss?” Sue asked when she walked back in.
“Oh, I just asked Lucy to be one of my brides maid’s.” Tara answered.
“Oh that’s great Luce.”
“Sue, I was gonna ask you, if you’d be my Maid of Honor?”
“Tara, I’d love to but…you’ve known Lucy longer than me and…”
“Sue, I said it would be a good idea because after all Jack will be Best Man and we thought…”
“Luce, don’t even go there.”
“Wait hear us on this. Jack will be best man and Myles we be first groomsmen so we agreed that since you’re shorter than me that I should walk with Myles.”
“I guess that makes sense, but only if you’re positive Lucy?”
“I am positive.”
“Okay Tara, I will be your maid of honor.”
“Well,” Jill said, “Since you all have the bridal party figured out we could get started on the dresses. We do only have a month?”
“Okay, I’ll get the phone books out.”
They all called around to see if anything was open and they found one place open until 10.
“Great. I’ll call Bobby and have him meet us there. Jack and Myles are probably with him as well.” Tara said as they all got up to get their stuff.

There will be another post coming here shortly.
jbryse
Here is another little post you guys. Thanks again for all of the great comments that you have left me. I am so glad that you like it so far and I hope that you continue to. This is that last little bit for tonight. Enjoy!

Tara already had the perfect bride’s maid dresses picked out in her mind that would have Jack swooning over Sue, sooner rather that later. When they arrived the guys were already there and they got out to meet the girls. They all started walking in and as they did Bobby slowed him and Tara up. “I wanted to tell you that Jack is going to be my Best Man and Myles and D my groom’s men. Is that okay with you?”
“It’s perfect. Sue is my Maid of Honor and Lucy and my sister are my other bridesmaids.”
As they all walked in, they were astounded. The walls were full of pallets of colors and there were dresses of all styles and sizes. They could pick out the dresses they wanted and get them ordered in the color they wanted from the pallet. Tara found 3 dresses for each of them to start with. The first one was a sleeveless dress with a low v cut neckline and it touched the floor with a small train at the back. The second was a spaghetti strap dress with a sweetheart neckline and was knee length. The third was a v neck halter that was also knee length. Sue and Lucy went to try on the first one and Lucy fell in love with it. It fit her like a glove. Sue on the other hand, “Lucy! I am not going out there in this. Especially since the guys are out there.”
“Come on, it looks great on you.”
“Yeah that’s nice but I’m still not going out there, it’s way too revealing.”
“Jack’s not gonna mind!” Lucy replied with a smirk.
“Lucy!”
“Come on, Tara’s wondering where we are.” She said as she grabbed Sue by the hand and pulled her out behind her.
“You guys look awesome. I so love it! We are definitely getting this style.” Tara said. “What do you guys think?”
“You look…wow…” Jack said with a stunned look on his face.
“You two look stunning in those dresses. Just think of how great they will be when they’re in lavender.” Myles said.
“Definitely great love. You have great style in dresses.” Bobby said to Tara.
“Tara, umm…these dresses are beautiful but won’t they take too much away from you?” Sue asked with hope obvious in her voice.
“No, not at all. I’ll stand out all on my own.” She said with a laugh as Sue sighed.

Yup. 2 posts jbryse!!! Do you mind if I call you Jill? If not, say so, please. Lovely posts, and I love how they chose the dresses and flowers. One question: How did Sue know what Lucy and Tara were saying if she was in the changing rooms? Sorry to be a party pooper, just wondering. Sorry!

Jenny
jbryse
Sorry bout that Jenny, a lot of bridal shops that i have been in, and that is a lot, are group fitting rooms. Each indivdual bridal party go into one because they all need help getting into the dresses and stuff, and it's easier to see what they like and all if they aren't like running out to show everyone and stuff, so a lot are like that. So Lucy and Sue were in the changing room and Tara was outside, but Lucy was telling her what she said but then they went out towards the end there. I hope that clears it up.

Thatnks for all of the great feedback you guys. I will be putting up a new post sometime in the next couple days. I have put up all that i have typed so far so i just need to find time to put the rest out.
suethomasfan2468
That's totally cool. I'm not married or anything like that at all, so I wouldn't know these things. Thanks!

Hey guys here's another post for ya sorry it's really short but i should be able to get more up later. thanks for sticking with me!

They ordered the dresses and tuxes and then decided to grab some ice cream before heading back to their apartments. Myles really didn’t want to get ice cream as it was very unhealthy for him, so he chose to go home instead. When they all got to the ice cream emporium Lucy said that she wasn’t feeling well. She didn’t want to ruin Sue’s evening so she asked Jack to take Sue home later.

Jack and Sue sat around talking about how much fun the wedding was going to be as Jill discussed some more about location and caterers with Bobby and Tara.

“Alright, so since we’re the best man and maid of honor, it’s our job to plan the best Bachelor/Bachelorette parties in DC.” Jack said to Sue as they ate their ice cream.
“You’re right. I have never planned one before so I have no idea where to begin.” Sue replied.
“Well, in case Bobby and Tara are listening, we should wait until tomorrow to talk about this. How about you come over to my apartment tomorrow and we can figure it all out.”
“I have a feeling we’ll be spending a lot of time together planning this wedding.”
“Yeah, but that wouldn’t be so bad would it? I mean truly I can be a fun person to be around.” Jack said with a cocky smile.
“Can be is the right answer.” Sue replied with a knowing laugh.
“Well then…I guess you have some other way to get home?”
“Jack…come on you know I was kidding. At least until you leave me at my house.”
“Double score for Thomas. Goodness gracious. I guess I had that coming too, didn’t I.”
“Yep, you did.”
“Shall we get going. Bobby and Tara don’t really need our help.”
“I can see that Jill has it covered.” Sue said as she glanced at Bobby and Tara cuddling up in the booth across from them discussing plans with Jill.

Hey you guys. Here's another small post for the night. It's pretty much all i have written up so far but I know exactly where this story is going. Thanks for all of your great comments, i really appreciate that you guys are sticking with me on this and that you like it so far.

Jack and Sue left in Jack’s car to drop her off at her apartment. He didn’t want her to walk up there alone in the dark so he parked the car and walked with her.
“Well tomorrow at my place after work? You bring the paper I’ll bring the pizza.”
“DEAL.” Sue signed.
“Alright. Well I look forward to spending time with you Ms. Thomas, planning our best friends’ wedding. So I will see you in the morning.”
“Yeah, see you.” She said as she turned around to unlock the door.

When she got in the house she found the kitchen light was the only light on. Lucy really must not have been feeling well since she didn’t even stay up to question me. Sue thought to herself with a laugh.

The next morning Lucy and Sue went to work as usual. They were the last ones in the bullpen, which was very unusual.
“What’s going on? Why is everyone so early today?” Lucy asked.
“We have a new case. It involves Jack and Sue personally.” D said
“What do you mean?” Sue asked.
“Well, when you were undercover as a married couple, you ran into a few other people other than Dessa and Betty. Well a couple other people you had connections with were their sons. They are looking for revenge on the people who drove their dad away from them.”
“How do you know this?”
“We’ve been tracking some emails that Betty Vanderwylen, aka Julia Thompson, has been receiving. All witnesses that are in the witness protection program have an email account set up by us that we can track, just to make sure no one discovers her. Well, Julia, which is her undercover name, has contacted her sons and seems to have told them everything that happened. She said she wanted them to know the truth of what happened to their father, but didn’t think any harm would come of it. Well, now it has.”
“She recently received an email telling them that their dad could not have been that bad of a person and that the people who ran him away were going to pay. They saw no reason that their dad left other than he was chased by the FBI.” Jack finished.
“So what’s gonna happen?”
“Sue, you and I are going to have constant surveillance on us to make sure that Betty’s, Julia’s, sons are not following us or tracking us somehow, and if they are to stop them from doing anything.”
“Okay, well what happens if they do stop them from getting to us, whose to say their not mad at all of you since you all had a hand in this case.”
“That’s just the thing. They view it as all your fault. That you set Dessa up and drove him away. They never thought it was anyone else’s fault, just yours. That’s why the heat is on you guys.” Bobby said
“Alright, so where do we begin?”
“We start by adding the surveillance teams on you and by having Jack move in with you.”
“Woh, what?”
“See we can’t have two teams at this time, as they are still working on another case involving the safety of the president, so our only option would be that Jack and you live together. Now in order to make it not out of the ordinary, we will play it as Jack got evicted from his apartment and needs a place to live while he tries to find a new one.”
“Okay, so how is it gonna look like he’s getting evicted. I mean truly they could be on us already.”
“Exactly, so when Jack goes home on his lunch hour, there will be a notice on his door that he must be out by tonight. He calls you, you go to his house and help him pack and he comes to live with you and Lucy.”
“Fine whatever. I could care less what goes on as long as I can still help plan your guys’s wedding. It is the most important thing to me right now because I am so totally excited for you guys.”
“That’s fine with us. Jack and you need to be together a lot to help with that anyways. The only time you guys don’t have to be together is if one of you is in the office. That is obviously under surveillance enough so we can send the team with the other one of you. Is that understood?”
“Yes, sir.” Jack and Sue answered D in unison.

Here is all I have for tonight you guys. Sorry it's such a little bit, but I didn't have time to type up anymore as I started my new job today. Thanx for all of your wonderful comments and I'm glad that you like my idea!!!!!!

That night Jack called Sue just like they planned and she went over there to help him pack up his stuff. After they got it all done which didn’t take long since they had most of it packed for him when they got home, they went to Sue’s apartment.

It was Friday night, so Jack and Sue stayed up late into the night planning. While they were talking about what they wanted to do for Bobby and Tara’s parties Sue said, “Jack, uh, I never thought about this but where do you wan to sleep? We haven’t really planned on that. If you want to, you can take my room and I can sleep on the couch or whatever you feel comfortable with.”
“Oh, no that’s okay you can stay in your room and I can just take the couch. After all I am the guest.”
“Well you aren’t exactly a guest. As far as Lucy and I are concerned this is your house too. We don’t know how long you might be stuck here with us. So feel free to make yourself at home.”
“I wouldn’t exactly call it me being stuck here with you. I mean after all I am living in the same apartment as a gorgeous woman. Why would any man in their right mind complain?” Jack said with a smirk.
suethomasfan2468
I really liked the last bit where Jack is openly flirting with Sue!

Hey you guys! I have a big post for you. I have a new office job as a receptionist and there's a lot of downtime so I get a lot written in that time. I hope you enjoy this next post. And I know how much you guys hate fuzzies and all but there is a little bit in there because it couldn't be stopped. So i hope that you're not too mad at me for putting them in here! biggrin.gif

Sue blushed at what Jack was implying with his last comment.
"I mean it Sue. You truly are a gorgeous person, inside and out. You are so kind and thoughtful and then there are those big brown eyes of yours. I don't want you to forget that. You are an amazing person."
"Thanks, Jack. But we still need to figure out where you are going to sleep."
"Okay, well since you guys are the ones who lived here first and are paying the rent, I will sleep on the couch."
"Are you sure? Because I certainly don't mind it."
"I'm sure."

With that they got out the extra blankets and sheets and made up the hide-a-bed for Jack to sleep on.
"Are you gonna be warm enough out here?"
"Yeah I'll be fine. Besides I like it being cold while I sleep."
"Jack that's just weird. Normally people like it to be toasty warm when they are sleeping."
"I know. I guess I'm just weird that way."
"Jack can I ask you another question?"
"Sure."
"Are you scared? I mean, with the fact that the prince of terror's sons are after us. I mean I don't know what to think. The bureau is obviously going to do the best they can to protect us, but I dunno I mean they could miss any one little thing."
"You're right Sue. The bureau is not perfect but you're also right about it doing the best it can do. They don't want to lose two agents, and Bobby is not going to let that happen. Him and I, we're best buds, and he loves you like his own little sister. Nothing is going to happen to us, okay?"
"I guess so. I'm just nervous thinking about it."
"Well you don't have anything to worry about. As long as I'm here nothing is going to happen. Believe me when I say that. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to you."
"Thanks Jack. I really appreciate that."
"Are you going to be okay in there all alone? I mean there really isn't anything that could happen when I'm right down the hall. But if you're scared I could come sleep on the floor in there?"
"I wouldn't want you to sleep on the floor, Jack, it's not comfortable sleeping on hard wood."
"I can sleep any where Sue. A hard wood floor is really no different than sleeping in the beds at Quantico."
"If you don't care, my answer is yes, I would feel much better with you on the floor in my room."
"I truly don't mind."
"Thanks, Jack." Sue said as they grabbed his blankets to bring to the floor in Sue's room.
They got him all situated and when he was, she crawled into bed. Just before shutting off the light, she said "Goodnight, Jack. Thanks for being so amazing."
After she shut off the light Jack replied to the darkness "Goodnight, Sue. I love you."

-----

In the morning when Sue was awoke, Jack was still sound asleep. She got up to go to cook breakfast for him and Lucy. Lucy was already awake and cooking when she got out to the kitchen.
"Morning, Luce."
"Good morning. Where’s Jack?"
"He's still sleeping."
"Where?" Lucy asked with a grin.
"Don't get any ideas Luce. He's on the floor in my room. I was scared and I felt safer with him on the floor by my bed."
"On the floor, huh?"
"Yes, on the floor."
"What's on the floor?" Jack asked as he emerged from Sue's bedroom.
"Oh, Lucy asked where you disappeared to, and I was just telling her that you were asleep in my room on the floor." Sue replied as her cheeks turned pink.
"I got ya. So who's cooking breakfast this morning because it sure smells amazing."
"We both are. I started it but now that Sue's up she's helping me with it."
"Can I ask you ladies a question? Why on earth are you up so early on a Saturday morning? I mean seriously it only 7:30 and it's a weekend. If you're up this early today what time do you get up for work?"
"First of all yes you may, secondly I'm up because I am getting together with my Grams to go shopping today and Sue's up because she's a morning person. And the answer to the last question is 6:00."Lucy replied.
"Man, you are awfully chipper for 7:30 am!"
"Yeah, well get used to it buddy, you don't know how long you are going to be here for."

Lucy left at 9:00 to meet her grandmother, which meant Jack and Sue would be home all day alone.
"So what do you want to work on first? I'm thinking we should plan the parties for both of them since those are coming up the fastest."
"Sounds good to me."
"I have no idea where to even start. I have never had to plan a bachelorette party before, so I don't even know what we should do."
"Okay well I already know what I am doing for Bobby. So we need to figure out what you want to do for Tara-"
"Wait, you already know what you're going to do for Bobby? Care to fill me in?"
"Not really but I will anyways," Jack said with a smile, "Alright, well I plan on doing the same thing I did for my brother-in-laws. We took him to a strip club and there was one girl that he was totally 'into' per se and they flirted and she gave him a lap dance and what not. We then got him totally hammered and brought him home. The next morning when he woke up, that same stripper was in his bed with him and then my sister walked in the room." The look on Sue's face at this point was sheer terror. "Sue, don't worry. We hired that striper to come to his apartment that morning before he woke up and had her crawl into his bed with him. We told my sister all about it that's why she walked in. They didn't do anything but we wanted him to think they did, so my sister played up that she was all mad and even went so far as to throw her engagement ring at him and walk out of his room. He ran out into the hall and all of us were standing there with a video camera to see his reaction. It was priceless to say the least." (AN: all caps mean it's something being signed)
"Jack, that is absolutely terrible! You could have given him a heart attack, doing that to a person. All I can say is... that would be HILARIOUS! Bobby would die if that happened to him. But you better make sure that Tara knows about it and that Lucy and I get to be there to see his reaction!"
"DEAL!" Jack signed as they both burst out laughing.

After they calmed down from their fit of laughter Jack said "So now we just have to figure out what to do with Tara's party. The only thing I can really think of is just do the usual stripper and drinking. I don’t really know what else there is to do."
"Oh I think I have an idea."
"Okay, let's hear it."
"Well first of all I'd take her to a nice dinner and have everything go perfectly smoothly. She would start wondering why I wasn't doing anything really outrageous. I'd take her back to her apartment then and we'd all just sit there having a couple drinks and just talking like normal. Then all of the sudden there would be a knock on her door. It would be a guy dressed as…a plumber…original right?" Sue said with some sarcasm in her voice, "Then Tara would be like well I didn't call a plumber and there's nothing wrong with my plumbing. And then all of the sudden, bam, there go his clothes."
"Sue, I'm shocked to see this side of you. Supporting a stripper?"
"Yes well I never said I supported the idea but I do think it would be rather funny to see their reactions. I mean truly when I get married I hope they don't get a stripper for me. I would probably die of embarrassment." Sue said as her face turned red.

Jack just laughed at her and said how about some lunch? I'm getting kind of hungry."
"Sure that sounds good about now."
"Where do you want to go?"
"Oh, I can just cook. It'll be cheaper than going out."
"Yeah it would be cheaper but it doesn't matter because I'm buying."
"Jack you don't need to buy me lunch when I can just as well cook us something here."
"Yes, but consider it repayment for putting up with me for a while."
"Oh you don't have enough money to repay me for that kind of punishment." Sue said as she turned to walk towards the door.
"Okay…I guess I had that one coming!" Jack said as he followed her.
jbryse
Hey you guys. I hope none of you thought the last scene I wrote was to riskay. I explained it a little more in this post of what was truly happening. Becuase believe me I don't agree with strippers but that last scene kinda gets cleared up in this post. I hope no one turned away mad. I think it was something that needed to kinda happen in order for this next part to work out.

Sue felt someone tap her on the shoulder as she was walking out the door and turned around to see no one there. The next thing she new she woke up on the couch with Jack standing in front of her. "Glad to see you come back to me. You fell asleep while we were discussing what to do for the parites for Bobby and Tara. I think you fell asleep somewhere after I said stripper. You kind of lost concentration I guess." he said.
That was weird. Sue thought. I cannot believe I was actually supporting that. Strippers are not something that I would ever consider.

"What are you thinking?" Jack asked her.
"I was trying to remember when I fell asleep."
"I think it was right after I said that I didn't want to do a stripper for Bobby. That's what most people do but that is just wrong. I mean seriously, displaying women like that is totally distasteful. I don't understand what can be attractive in that."
"I'm glad you said that Jack. I just had a really bad dream. You were like all excited to get a stripper for Bobby, and I actually thought that it would be funny to do that to a person. But truly, I mean my personal belief is that it's wrong too. Most guys don't think that tho and I'm glad that you are one to not support it."
"Seriously Sue. You don't have to ever worry about me going to see a stripper or anything. I am being totally real with you. I don't think it's a cool idea to do that. To women or men. So I want you to know there is nothing to worry about there."
"I trust you Jack and I believe you that you don't like that kind of thing. I was expecting somehting totally different out of your mouth when you said the whole stripper thing so I kind of wanted to tune that out. But I'm glad that I listened to you now..... So really what should we do for them?"
"I have no idea. That's the usual but maybe we should just take them out. It'd be more I guess tasteful is the way to put it."

Sorry for getting behind, I was really busy this weekend. So that whole stripper conversation was Sue's dream? laugh.gif That's kinda funny! I agree, the whole stripping thing is kinda wrong and it kinda grosses me out too. But they've got to come up with something good for the parties!

Hey you guys sorry I haven't posted anymore lately! I have a pretty big post for ya right now i think. I am alsmost done with this fic so just be patient with me! thanks again for all of the encouraging words!

They continued to discuss what it was they wanted to do for Bobby and Tara and they finally had it all planned out. It was going to be the best Bachelor and Bachelorette parties ever.

As it rolled around to 12:00, Jack was hungry so he asked Sue, "Are you hungry? I am."
"Yeah. I could eat. What would you like to me to make?"
"I was thinking we could go out for lunch? It's much less work to go out."
"Yes, but it costs less money to eat in. And you know that I don't mind cooking or cleaning."
"Yeah, I know you don't. But I'm buying and you can consider it repayment for me living here for a while."
"I'm not sure that you have enough money to repay me for that." Sue said with a smile.
"I guess I had that one coming." Jack said with a laugh.
This is strange. That is exactly my dream. That's a bit weird. Sue thought.

Jack called SOG and let them know that they were going to be leaving to go out to eat for lunch so they could follow them there.

They decided that they wanted to go to El Rancherito; it was a small taco house just down the road from Sue and Lucy's apartment. That way it wouldn't be too hard for SOG to follow with out it being too obvious.

"I love Mexican food. It is my favorite thing to eat." Jack said as he bit into a big taco.
"Yeah it's pretty delicious." Sue said with a laugh as she bit into her burrito.
After Sue swallowed she said, "You know what? I have lived here for nearly 5 years now and have never even eaten here. I mean it's what, a mile or so from my apartment?"
"Yeah, that is crazy. I have eaten here many times in the last five years and I cannot believe I have never taken you here with me. We have to spend more time together I guess."
"I guess we might just have too."

The rest of their meal was eaten in silence as neither of them really knew how to respond to the last comment made. Jack was too busy thinking as he ate about what he should say to Sue later. He had been given her subtle hints all day and all last night as to how he felt and he couldn't really tell what she was thinking by the way she responded. She seems to react the same as me whenever I do a little flirting but she could just be reacting as the nice person she is. But I feel to strongly about our relationship to let it not go anywhere. Jack continued thinking as he drove them back to their home. "Our home". It has a nice ring to it.

When they got back to the apartment they both flopped down on the couch to relax as Lucy was not back yet from going out with her Grandmother.

"Sue? Can I talk to you about something?"
"Sure Jack what is it?"
"I need to know what you're thinking, about this situation we're in."
"Well when we talked last night, I was really scared. When you offered to sleep on the floor in my room to protect me, I was really greatful Jack. You have been a really great friend to me throughout all of these years and you have been a great partner as well. You knew that I would be scared out of my mind so you set aside your personal feelings of wanting sleep and to be comfortable, and you slept on my floor to protect me and be there for me if I got scared. I really appreciate that so much about you Jack. You don't care about what you have to deal with but you want the people around you to be safe and feel secure. You're really good at protecting; it runs through your blood. To tell you the truth, when I first heard what was going on with Dessa's sons I was terrified. I didn't know how I would be able to sleep, but when they told us that you were going to have to stay here I felt better. I mean knowing an agent with a gun was going to be in this apartment 24 hours a day to protect me when I needed it was a good feeling. I am still scared for both of our lives Jack. I don't want anything to happen to you because you are a great friend and have been the best partner a person could ask for. The fact that those guys are still out there looking for us is terrifying but I still feel better with you here."
"Wow Sue. I had no idea you felt that strongly about what is going on with our lives right now. You are terrified on the inside but you put on your strong face and don't let anyone know that. That is amazing. I am truly kind of scared as well. I mean I've had people out to kill me before but the fact that it is jeopardizing your life as well has me so scared. I don't know what I'd do Sue if I lost you. Not being able to see you everyday and make sure that you were in perfect condition would tear me apart. You are an amazing person though the whole world doesn't know that yet so you need to be here to show them, Sue."
"Thanks, Jack. That was one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me before. I try to be a nice person but I had no idea that anyone actually saw that part of me."
"Everyone can see it Sue. You are so good at being kind and being a listener and an advice giver. You are that amazing person that everyone wants to be. That's why I love being around you. You are so awesome to be around because you radiate that kindness that you have and everyone can sense just how amazing and kind you are. I want to make sure that you don't forget that because I certainly don't and anyone that see's you knows that about you."
"Wow, Jack. You truly know how to make me feel all mushy inside." Sue said with a laugh.
"I don’t have to try; it's easy to tell you these things because they're all true. By the way Sue, there's something else I wanted to ask you-"
"I'm back!" Lucy said from the entryway.
"Jack?"
"Oh, sorry, um Lucy's back."
Sue turned just as Lucy was walking in from the hall way. "Hey, Luce! How was your shopping trip?"
"Great! I bought a really cute new outfit and shoes for both of us. You're just gonna love it!"
"I'm so excited! Thanks, Luce."
"NO PROBLEM" Lucy signed back to her.
"Oh, Jack, I'm sorry you were about to say something."
"Oh, yeah it wasn't important. It can wait till later."
"Okay, if you're sure?"
"Yep, I'm sure." Jack said with a smile.

Lucy took Sue back to her room to show her the outfit and have her try it on to make sure it fit.The outfit was a cute pair of gray pin-striped pants that were fitted at the top and flared out at the knee and it had a blue lacy tank that was paired with a white ¾ sleeved button down shirt.
"It looks great on you Sue. Man do I have perfect taste in clothes for you. And blue is so your color!" Lucy said as her and Sue started laughing.
"I love it Luce. It'll be a perfect outfit to wear to the office and it can be just perfect for an after work date. Not that I have one of those any time soon." Sue said with a hint of laughter in her voice.
"We have to go show, Jack. We have to break him in easy on this one so he doesn’t fall out of his chair at work when you wear it."
"Oh, Lucy, seriously! That is not the Jack Hudson I know."
"Maybe not, but it’s the Jack Hudson I know!"
"Okay, whatever, but I don't need to show him when he lives with me, I mean with us, he can see it in the morning when I get ready."
"FINE, I’M HUNGRY HOW ABOUT YOU?"
"STARVED!"

The three of them ate dinner and talked a little bit about their case.

"I don't even know what to expect. I mean we could be targeted anywhere at anytime. We could be sitting in the living room, we could be in the shower, we could be getting coffee before work, it really could happen at anytime."
"Yes but you gotta remember I'll be here. Sue, nothing is going to happen to you when I'm around. I won't let it happen. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if something was to happen to you, let alone on my watch. You know that don't you?"
"I guess so Jack. I mean I know that you would do your best to protect me but what if the best isn't good enough. I mean what if they take you out first, then what would I do."
"Sue, It's not gonna happen. I promise. I will protect you. I would never be able to forgive myself if I lost you. I love you!"
The three of them all sat there stunned. Lucy could not believe that Jack finally admitted it, and in front of her. Sue couldn't believe Jack would think that about her. And Jack couldn't believe he just said what he did in not the least bit romantic way.
"I think I better go let Levi out." Lucy said as she got up from the table.
"Sue, I...I..."
"You what Jack?"
"I'm sorry I told you like this. It was not my plan, it just kind of slipped out. I'm sorry. I was not going to tell you, not like this at least, but I guess I couldn't just keep it in anymore. I'm totally serious Sue. I don't ever want anything to happen to you, and I can't lose you because I love you! I'm being totally serious with you."
"Jack, I don't know what to say. I mean goodness this is so sudden. I was not expecting that from you in the least bit."
"I'm sorry I understand if you don't-"
"Jack I wasn't finished. I was not expecting that from you in the least bit, but it doesn't mean I'm mad. Jackson Samuel Hudson, you shocked the living daylights out of me today...but it was very sweet. I love you, too Jack!"
"Are you serious? I mean you love me too? I cannot believe it! I love this woman and she loves me back!" Jack stood up from his chair and walked over to Sue. He got down on one knee and said, "Sue this is kind of spur of the moment, and I understand if you're not ready, and I mean I don't have a ring or anything, but Susan Thomas, will you marry me?
"Jack! Yes! I love you so much!"
He stood up and pulled Sue up with him. He then picked her up and spun her around. "I love you too Sue! So, so much!" With that she leaned in to give him a kiss. Just then Lucy walked in. She walked past the kitchen and couldn't believe her eyes. Jack Hudson and Sue Thomas were kissing in her kitchen.
"Ahem, um guys, what's going on?" Lucy said to them.
"We're getting married!" Jack said as he pulled away from Sue.
"Not five minutes ago you guys were friends and coworkers. I left and came back to you two being engaged?"
"Yes, Luce. Sometimes life is a spur of the moment isn't it?" Sue said.
"Oh my gosh I am so happy for you two!" Lucy ran and gave them both a hug. "We have to call Bobby and Tara!"
"Woh Luce, wait!"
"What?"
"Um, I'm kind of thinking that we should wait. I mean they're getting married in a month, and we don't want to take the focus away from them."
"Yeah, but Sue that is a month away, it's plenty of time for things to cool down and get the attention back on them."
"Lucy's right Sue. I mean yeah it takes away from them for a minute, but by next week all of the focus will be right back where it is supposed to be."
"I suppose. I mean this is amazing and I don't know how I could keep it in anyways. Okay lets tell them."
"Wait let's call and see if it's okay if we come over and we can tell them in person."
"Okay, oh but what about Myles and D?"
"We'll call them and tell them to meet us over at Bobby's."
"Sounds like a plan."

Jack called Bobby and he and Tara were both at his apartment. He asked him if it would be okay if they came over right now and he said that it would be fine. He then called Myles and D when they were on their way to Bobby's and had them meet them there.

After everyone had arrived, they got them all into the living room to tell them.

"So why are we all here?" Myles asked.
"Well we have something that we wanted to tell everyone and keep you all up to speed, but we wanted to do it together." Jack said.
"Okay, so tell us."
"Okay, um, well Sue and I are um, engaged."
There was silence.
"Wait, yesterday you two weren't even dating? Or were you?"
"How long have you kept this from us, that you were dating?" D said.
"Um well that's the funny thing- Sue?"
"We weren't."
"What do you mean you weren't, sheila?" Bobby said.
"Jack and I weren't dating. About an hour ago we were eating dinner and well he was telling me how he would feel awful if something ever happened to me. In the middle of telling me all of this, he said 'I love you' it was so unexpected."
"I didn't even mean to say it but it just slipped out. But then next thing I knew Sue was telling me the same thing. So I stopped right there and proposed."
"Oh my." Tara said.
"That is crazy." Bobby said.
"You're serious?" D asked.
"Huh?" Myles replied.

"Does the cat have your tongues, you guys? Jack and Sue are getting married, can't you be happy?" Lucy said to them.
Just then it set into everyone's heads that this was for real, Jack and Sue are engaged. Everyone started cheering and gave congratulations to them.

"This calls for a celebration!" Bobby said.
"I believe it does." Myles agreed. "We can go to my house for cocktails."
"Myles? Are you serious? You never want to host parties." Lucy asked him.
"Yes, but 2 people we have been trying to get together for ages are finally engaged, so it's totally okay for this occasion."

Once they were all at Myles', Tara had an idea.
"Sue, I have something I want to ask you." She said to her as she pulled her aside.
"Okay."
"I asked Bobby and he thought this would be a great idea. What would you think of having a double wedding with Bobby and I?"
"Tara, are you serious. I mean it would be fun, but how can I pull off two weddings in a month?"
"Well it's not that different than planning just one. Just a few more family members a few more plates for dinner and it's set. I mean think about. Jack will already have a tux, you will already have a bouquet of flowers so all we really have to do extra is family members and a wedding dress for you instead of a bridesmaid dress."
"I guess your right. I mean it is a great idea and it would save us both money if you think about it. I say yes, but I do have to check with my fiancée. My fiancée, that's got a nice ring to it."
They walked over to Jack and Bobby while they were talking and sipping champagne.
"Jack dear? I have a proposal for you."
"Sorry babe, I already beat you to that one."
"Very funny. I'm serious though Jack. What would you think if you and I had a double wedding with Tara and Bobby?"
"I'd say that's too far away!"
"Jack, be serious. I couldn't plan a wedding in any less time, and it would save all of us a lot of money by sharing the expenses of flowers and catering and the church. Especially since we'd have basically the same people at both weddings, just adding our families into it."
"I say, since you can't plan a wedding any sooner, it's a great idea. I'm just not sure how much longer I can hold out till the wedding, if you know what I mean!" He told Sue with a big smile on his face.
"Jack!"
"What?!"
"Not in front of our friends darling."
"Okay, let's go back home then."
"Jack!"
"Okay, okay! I'll stop," Jack said. Then he pulled her to him and said for only her eyes, "But in 3 and a half weeks, I won't be stopping!"
She was ready to tell him to be knock it off, but he silenced her with his lips.

The rest of the evening the group of friends all made some decisions about what was going to happen for the wedding. Lucy would be the maid of honor and Myles would step into best man position. They were going to send out invitations with all of their names on it to invite their friends and family. A little while later D received a call on his cell phone and left immediately following that conversation. Everyone went home then and decided to get some rest as they had a lot of planning to do in the next couple of weeks.

Late that night Jack's phone rang and it was D calling to explain why he had left. Jack rolled over in bed and tapped the sleeping blonde next to him.
"Sue. Honey."
Sue rolled and stretched towards the tap on her shoulder.
"What Jack? I really want to get some sleep, we've been up long enough."
"I know, we had a long night, but I have good news baby. They got them! Both of the Vanderwylen boys were captured and taken into protective custody. D had to leave to go help make the arrest."
"Why didn't he have us go with him? I'm sure he needed the help."
"The police are the ones that found them and D just had to be there to make sure everything went down okay. I suppose he didn't want to ruin our night, when there was nothing that he needed us to do."
"Jack, it's so good to feel safe again. Well not that I didn't when I was with you."
He pulled he body closer to his and said "Well it's safe now so I think I can be going back to my house. In the morning that is, because this is too nice to leave at this time of night."
"I suppose you're right Jack, you should move back to your house. But just one thing. After tonight, I don't think I can sleep alone again."
"You're saying that now, just wait till three weeks from now on our honeymoon night. After that it's gonna be even harder, if you know what I mean."
"That is so true my love. But even just cuddling with you tonight made me realize how much I love you and how nice it is to have an arm around me at night. So I think I'm going to have to be spending a lot of time at your house."
"Oh I am so glad that you said that honey. I didn't know what I was going to do to get myself to sleep at night without you next me. But I guess we've got that solved now don't we." Jack replied to her as he kissed her.
"Yeah, one thing. How am I gonna tell Lucy?"
Jack laughed.
"What's so funny?"
"I don't think you have to worry about telling Lucy."
"Why?"
"She just yelled 'consider it done' from her room."
"Oh my gosh! I didn't know she could here us from there."
"Apparently. Well it's a good thing we didn't do anything tonight then."
"Jack!" Sue said as she playfully slapped him on the chest.
