Well, I didn't initially intend to enter this challenge, but I had an idea for a story. So, here it goes! Be forewarned, I'm not sure how often I will be making story posts since this is actually the only part of the story I've written so far. Yikes! My intention is for this to be a short story, so don't expect too much. I hope y'all enjoy!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Today is my best friend's (and former roommate's) wedding. I am the matron of honor. I am also six months pregnant. You know a friend is truly a friend when she asks you to be in her wedding even though you look like a whale! As I look at Tara and Amanda, the other bridesmaids, I'm ashamed to admit that I'm somewhat jealous of them. They both look so beautiful with their petite figures! Will I ever get my figure back? My husband says that I'm more beautiful than ever, that I have a beautiful glow about me. Did I mention that I married a liar? Just kidding! He's truly a wonderful man; everything I always dreamed of and prayed for in a husband! And with our baby set to arrive in just three months, I'm happier than I've ever been! But enough about me...

Ditto to aida right here. Very interesting. Hmmmm * goes off and ponders for a bit* This is a J/S story right? Or M/L or B/T or B/L and M/T? Sorry, I'm rambling again! Very sorry! Great start so far, as someone put it on my story, sorry that I don't remember your name- So early in the story and already with the cliffies? Our two major characters who have been roommates are of course Sue and Lucy, so this could easily be one of them. Either way sounds wonderful, because one is happily married with a baby on the way, and the other is getting married.

Mmmm...chocolate! Guess I'm too late for the bribes of chocolate! Jenny, I worked yesterday and it was a really LONG day (okay, it was only 8 hours, but it seemed like a lot longer!). Actually, it was a really long week. Besides, I do believe I placed a disclaimer at the beginning of my story saying I didn't know if I would be posting very often. Don't say you weren't warned!

Today is about the bride and the groom being united in their love for one another and God. The bride is like the sister I never had but always wanted. As I said, she is my best friend. Perhaps I should clarify. The bride is one of my two best friends. My other best friend is, of course, my husband. He is also, appropriately enough, the best man. The groom...well, the groom is like a brother to me and my husband. I don't know what my husband and I would do without either one of them in our lives! We couldn't be happier that the two of them are getting married! It's a testimony to how a friendship can turn into a wonderful romance. You might just say that matchmaking had a little something to do with them getting together. But maybe not the way you think...

so, i'm thinking Sue is married to Jack and luce is about to marry bobby as we know Luce has a sister and i'm not sure myles and jack have a 'brother' relationship

Oops! I temporarily forgot that Lucy had a sister! (How did I do that?) Oh well, my sister once told someone that someone was like the sister she never had! So, ya never know?...
And who's to say that Myles and Jack couldn't have developed a 'brother' relationship? Actually who's to say it has to be one of the team? I didn't say that did I? (She goes to check her story posts again...)

You see, the bride and the groom spent so much time together planning and plotting to get another couple to finally admit their true feelings for one another that they grew quite fond of one another's company. Once the other couple finally admitted to each other what was obvious to everyone else for years, there was no longer any need for their "matchmaking meetings". The bride and the groom realized they missed their dinners and nightly strategizing sessions. They decided to give dating a try. And as you know, since they are getting married today, things worked out quite well! So, you might just say that if it weren't for that exasperatingly stubborn couple, our bride and groom might not be getting married today.

Is it Bobby and tara???? we know the stubborn couple is Jack and Sue!!!

I, Sue Thomas Hudson, like to take some credit for the fact that my best friend and her husband-to-be are getting married. After all, as you may have guessed, I am one half of that exasperatingly stubborn couple. Yep, my husband Jack and I took years to finally admit how much we loved each other! In our defense, the FBI and their "no inter-unit dating" rule didn't make things any easier for us. But luckily, the FBI decided to amend that policy and allow each individual unit's supervisor to decide whether or not a couple in the unit could date. Since our then newly appointed supervisor was one of our staunchest supporters, he wholeheartedly approved of our dating! In fact, he stopped just short of ordering us to date! Did I mention we have the BEST supervisor in the FBI? In fact, we have the best team in the FBI. And that's not just my biased opinion; we've received numerous commendations for our work. One reason we are such a great team is because we are all so very close. We all respect and love one another and would do anything for any of our team members. As much as Jack and I balked, at the time, at certain team member's matchmaking efforts, we readily admit now that we are very grateful that they were persistent in their attempts. After all, if they hadn't been, who knows if we'd be happily married now and expecting our first child?

Speaking of doing anything for any of our team members, did I mention how unfortunate it is that my team member/best friend/the bride has an obsession with shoes, high-heeled shoes, no less? And that said obsession is going to wreck havoc on my feet and back today! I'm six months pregnant! I already have enough problems with sore feet and a sore back without throwing high-heeled shoes into the mix! But because she is my friend and this is her special day, I will just grin and bear it.
