Yikes my computer ate my post! I just wanted to say that I think you did and outstanding job on this story and it was truly an enjoyable read the whole way through. I love the idea of throwing a surprise party for Jack. And the model car was a great touch...not to mention the sombrero! And to end with J/S fuzzies...

Exactly 5,000 words? I am impressed!

I absolutely loved the ending. It was perfect. I thought perhaps it was a birthday but a 15 year anniversary is even better and what a better way to head towards another "anniversary" between Jack and Sue.

What a great ending!! And how difficult must that have been, to write exactly 5000 words? I agree with Tis*Me - I think there should be an award for that!

Honestly my heart plummeted into my stomach when I saw the FIN on the banner. I've been looking forward to reading this every day. Now what will I do? I know, you could write another short story since you're so expert at it. I'll give you a week, how's that, and remember, sleep is highly over rated.

Seriously, this was fantastic. And the ending was such a surprise. It was Myles!!!!! And he would think it funny to have Jack make his grand entrance looking ridiculous! Of course the fuzzies at the end were and I love how you tied in the big sombreo and Myles bragging to Lucy. Wow, I'm so amazed at how artfully you drew that all together and in 5000 words exactly.

Now, do you think we can let Ralph S. Mouse have the second car? Jack doesn't need two!

This was great JP3! I loved the whole thing. The concept was fantastic. The fuzzies were terrific. And the fact that you used exactly 5000 words was simply amazing. Great job!

i think the scene is from concrete evidence when myles is talking about webber trying to take part of his garden and his prize roses and myles and bobby are teasing about webber being a 'horticulturalist wannabe' jack looks over and grins at them it was on in england yesterday and it twigged

Well, sorry I'm so late in finding this story. (Although it's better for me--no waiting around for the next post! ). Anyway, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this story. It was wonderful!! The characters were just so true to form that I could see and hear them throughout this story. Loved the prank, loved the J/S moments, and loved finding out Myles was the mastermind. What a great concept!
