Didn't meet Jack or Sue while in DC although I kept endng up outside Hoover Building. Road closures will do that to you .

Collided into Paul Shaeffer (Letterman Show) buying coffee in NY and came across filming of some movie in Central Park. Does that count?

Okay, I’m back.

Sue’s told me what you need me to do so I did a little digging before logging on to this little meeting. I’m pleased to say, Jack, that you’re suspicions are spot on! But why should that surprise me, eh, Jack?

There is definitely a fugitive in the bank’s central database. Somebody’s put it in to allow piggy-back transactions on the clients’ accounts on the days of their legitimate transactions, in this case the deposits.

As you correctly guessed, Jack, the clients would’ve had no clue they had the extra money before it’s transferred right out again. The time difference is more than sufficient to allow for two sets of transactions whenever the deposits were made, only no one’s ever detected the second illegal deposit and withdrawal.

All very nicely done, actually, from a purely technical point of view. Oh, you did good, Jack, for spotting it.

You tease!!!! That was great though!!!!!!!! Why is Jack still avoiding Sue???? I'm so glad you're back!!!

Hi yhm. Just found your story and while I'm enjoying what you've written so far immensely, I must say that you bring a whole new definition to the words 's', 'sn', 'sni', and 'snippe'. I don't suppose you have a whole 'snippet' to add sometime, do you?
Anyway, I'm with everyone else. I can't wait to see what's up with Jack and Sue. Why isn't Jack answering his emails? He doesn't strike me as the type of person to refuse an apology. So what's the deal??

So the money ends up in the pocket of a bank employee, plus interest … I’m assuming for now that it’s an employee and not management but I’m not ruling anybody out. Very clever. How did the fugitive manage to escape detection for this long? It’s been going on for at least 4 months.

Jack Tara doesn't mind in the least, and Yhm why is it every time I read some more I want a bit more......especially when I'm having to think, today's not a good day to think, it's sweltering and I need a cold shower from all the catching up of reading I've done today!
