I’m changing the subject heading again because I had another urge to yodel … loudly. Or maybe that was a wild whoop of delight at you two.

Yes, yes, Jack, I’m focussing … I can confirm the fugitive was created and installed by a James Pang, a data entry clerk who obviously had access to bank records ... daft bank. I can also confirm that he’s been doing this far longer than Cyber Crimes thinks - try almost 2 years - starting with small amounts: 10 or 20 dollars so nobody ever noticed, then he grew greedy and complacent.

The bank’s security software either never detected him in the early days when they ran their scans, or he was detected but never completely removed. To cut a long technical explanation short, he’s stayed in their system under the cover of some disused financial log, undisturbed by the security scans till now.

Takes our Jack to find him and to spot the discrepancies in the transaction times! Great work, Jack … but how did you end up doing this anyway? Shouldn’t this be handled by Cyber Crimes? Or Fraud?

Back to more important things: I’m THRILLED to bits for you two … it’s about time!

The agents in Cyber Crimes were concerned the fugitive would be able to detect/ identify them, since some of them have conducted random security checks for the bank in the past. I was unknown and therefore expendable.

How fast d’you think we can process the data in the usual formats before they come in? So that we can set up a red-alert? It’s already close to 6.
