I don't know how I missed this from the beginning, but I am SOOOOOOOOO glad I'm here now. What a creative, original idea and you've crafted it beautifully. That last post was fuzzilicious with a cherry on top.

One year on…

Maud and Mattie edged out from under the sofa and snuggled into the warmth of Levi side and watched the proceedings before them.

“Awwww she looks so pretty.” Sighed Mattie with a dreamy look on her face.

“And so happy” added Tammy from her perch on the windowsill above them with old Larry at her side.

“She looks good in white” noted Larry, “like a beautiful dove”

“And with a heart of one as well” said Tammy.

“Jack is going to look so cute,” added Maud with a twinkle in her eye.

“Jack always looks cute,” laughed Mattie.

“True, very true” giggled Maud.

“Sue is so lucky to have found her mister right. So many people walk around looking and searching for the perfect one and only a few every find their match, often because people eyes are closed. Humans are definitely fickle creatures.” Said Tammy.

“Glad I ain’t a human” exhaled Larry.

“She is going to have fun trying to go to the toilet in that,” laughed Maud at the billowing of the skirt that Lucy and Tara were fixing.

“Well I suppose that is why is she marrying a special agent. They suppose to be bright with the ideas,” added Mattie laughing.

Levi released a happy sigh from his belly making all eyes turn to him. “My Sue looks like an angel princess. I am so happy to see her so happy and to know that when I am gone she is not going to be alone.”

“Morbid much!” said Maud screwing her face up.

“Being realistic. I used to worry about her future now I know I don’t have too”

“Oh, Oh it’s time,” squeaked Mattie bouncing on her toes as she gathered up the grains at her side. Maud followed her lead.

The veil was fixed on the tumbling blonde curls and the last swish of lipstick was applied. The ladies hugged each other and wet eyes were dried with lace handkerchiefs. Levi rose to his paws and with a furiously wagging tail went over to the join the celebrations. As the woman headed to the door the two mice squeaked excitedly and flew the rice into the air.

“Leave” said Tammy to Larry whose beady eyes looked hungrily at the rice, “Bad for you”

Tara froze and turned to face them, shaking her head she whispered to herself, “I must be seeing things,” while she ushered the blooming bride out of the door.

“Ain’t love grand” said Mattie holding her paws to her heart.


”Indeed, indeed” hooted Tammy.

Ails, that was a wonderful ending!! I love that Tara saw them!! And, I just see Maud and Mattie throwing rice!!! Levi is the hero of the day!!!

This is me doing the happy dance! Those animals orchestrated that perfectly. Loved their convo... Great writing -- such light-hearted fun. I wonder if my dogs can plot against me like Levi did Sue?

I liked the angle from the animals - think its great that it was Levi that got Jack and Sue together in the end.
