About The Series In January 2005 the tv movie Falcon Beach aired on Global Television. The two-hour movie about a group of young people summering in a fictional resort town on the edge of Lake Winnipeg, was designed as a pilot for a continuing series. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from viewers, Global ordered a series of 13 one hour episodes to begin production in the spring. Around the same time, U.S. cable network ABC Family came on board as the U.S. broadcast partner in the series. ABC Family, available in 87 Million homes in the U.S., will air the series as part of their newest branded holiday 'Sizzlin' Summer' in 2006.
