Just thought I'd try this one... After all third time's the charm. Comments and suggestions please... creative criticism is always welcome... but most of all I hope you all enjoy!

Note:

1. I live in the Philippines so my idea of christmas might be different
2. There is no snow here so I'll just try my best to imagine.
3. Just tell me if any of you have suggestions

t'was a cold winter's night... Christmas was but a day away...

"O Holy Night"was playing in the background, merry little kids caroling, Sun setting between the building's of DC, We focus on 2 young couples -and a dog, saying their final goodbyes.

The cool winter breeze blew her hair covering half her face, her coat blown by the brisk wind.

Her voice, clearly heard... the tears start to spill from her eyes.


The man stood there frozen, wanting to move and comfort her but knowing by doing that it would cause more pain.

His head lay down low, but high enough for her to see, he tried to look strong, he tried be brave- for both of them.

All the emotions right now he knew could not come out... or it would be a lot harder.

Hugging herself tightly, pretending to be ok, but action speaks louder than words, nothing she could do can stop anything from happening... All she did now was wipe her tear strained eyes and concentrate on what he was saying.

After their long conversation, both turned thier backs on each other, and the woman did not hear what the man had to say.

He held on till he could and now she was gone but before their paths were forever cursed, never interwining ever again. just before then he whispered "I love you, Sue Thomas" and a tear dropped from his eyes.

Goodness - what a hook!! Interesting touch - using the Omnipotent POV to bring the entire scene into focus - but played very well and definitely left me with the question - "What happened?" - great job!

Oh my.....You only posted once and I'm hooked to the story....

As she step into the plane tears continuously fell from her eyes, quiet sobs came from her, as she struggled to get into her seat.

It helped that her seat was near a window and that she had no seatmate, she laid her head back, wiping away her tears... hoping that someday they would find each other once more "NO! " she said scolding her self, she hugged herself.. closing her eyes, she whispered to no one in particular "that could never happen."

Walking along the street he heard children singing.

It was a si - lent night, one star ____ for light, the cit- y sleep - ing sound. ____ But out on the rainy street? So tired ______ and beat, Ma - ry Joe rode in - to town.____



As far as the eye could see ____ "No Vacancy" ...

that was all that he heard, his knees fell to the ground, he no longer had enough strength to carry himself, he felt exhausted, he released a huge Sigh.

after a minute or two he got himself up and just walked toward the Hoover Building.

3 am Christmas Day...

Jack was asleep on his desk, a really annoying sound woke him up after he'd just fallen asleep fo an hour.

Rubbing his eyes, he yawned, looking around he found the source of the sound... "... and it is reported that the plane crashed because of the carelessness of the pilots..."
He didn't pay much attention to the news but when he heard the name of the plane his eyes widen.

Too stunned to move he just stared at the at the portable radio on tara's desk- she really wanted to be updated, especially during cases. the name of the plane, "Star Silver" that's the one Sue got on.

All right, all right, I DID ask for more, after all. That wasn't quite what I had in mind....here I am, staring at the computer screen like an idiot, thinking about nothing that Sue & Jack's paths aren't ever supposed to cross again and Sue's plane crashed. I'm somewhat afraid to ask for more, but PLEASE come fix this!

He had been staring at the radio for about 2 hours... he just couldn't move, finally Myles came in.

Surprised to see a certain dark haired agent, stunned in expression, glaring at the portable radio- it seemed like, he hadn't showered, changed, nor even sleep.

"Well, well, Jack you finally decided to come in early for once." he had a dry sense of humor, but it seemed funny to him! Jack still hadn't given him his attention so he continued "Since you started dating that deaf girl you were almost always late!" -At first Myles didn't enjoy sue very much, but through the months, here sweet and happy attitude got to him... he sometimes use the word "deaf" a bit too harshly but Sue didn't really mind, and he really admired that since most divas would probably be very selfish and arrogant.

Jack still hasn't face him, then he got worried, when the news was repeated in full... and the list of victims,.... Jane Young, Sue Thomas......

"Jack, I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." "No, Myles you didn't know!" Jack went off into a distance.

Meanwhile in New York City...

The firefighters an some doctors came to the site as soon as possible, unfortunately they were too late but one of them saw motion somewhere in the back row.

There Dr. Richard Gomes and his team found the unconcious but living body of a 20 something, blonde woman. She was fairly white, flawless skin about 5'7 in height and She has the most beautiful face-at least that's what Dr. Gomes thought.

The team tried their best to help her breath again she seemed to have lost her breath- literally.

At a nearby hospital...

Sue opened her eyes to an unfamiliar setting, then again everything seemed unfamiliar the only thing she could remember was her name and someone named Jack Hudson.

Dr. Richard the young woman who had just woken up, entering her room slowly, he introduced himself and told her, if she remembered anything after she had answered all that she could remember he replied "Don't worry Ms. Thomas you just have a short-term memory lost, well sort of... " after explaining for awhile, Sue was now comfortable with the young doctor.

After a few weeks, Sue was released from the hospital, she had become good friends with the doctor Richard Gomes...

They were walking along the street discussing random things...

"So say there was this guy who is in love with you and he tells you but he is the most unlikely person that might like you will you give him a chance?" Richard inquired speaking slowly and near the streetlamp's light. "Depends.." sue replied smiling at him, "Well, actually if we're friends it might work" giving emphasis to might.

Richard gathered up all the courage he could, telling himself, this is it it's now or never. "Sue ummm listen you see, ever since I saw you you could say I fell in love and until now that feeling has only grown stronger, I was wondering if you would concider going out with me!?" his voice was filled with uncertainty and nervousness...

Meanwhile in DC...

"Jack! Mate, it's been 3 weeks I'm sure it's hard to get over a lost but still, this isn't like you.. I know Sue was special but you have to start living again... It would have been what she wanted!" Giving his best get on with your life speech and smile, Bobby was trying to persuade Jack to date again, knowing if not something horrible could happen.

Apparently after 3 weeks of persuation Jack fianlly gave in.. but only because Bobby had already arranged everything and sort of already dragged him- so he didn't really have much of a choice.

in the restaurant, Bobby was pushing Jack just to get near the table, which was pretty much just 6 cm away.

There sat on the table Darcy and Her Friend, Dianne...

Dianne had a beautiful smile, perfect curves, lovely face, flawless complexion,she had clear crystalike blue eyes, Shoulder lenght strawberry hair, which was tied loosely on a frenchbraid... Simply she was beautiful...

Are you and Siti conspiring against us....Jack, Sue is alive; Sue, Jack really does love you....now go find each other now....

Jack's in the dark, Sue doesn't know what she's gonna do about the doc. Oh, and what about Dianne?!!

Thinking she misunderstood what he said, she asked him to repeat it, Richard half hoping she felt the same way... She always thought of Richard as the succesful doctor, sort of a lady's man, but well she only liked him as a friend but said she'd give it a try... She felt confused, she didn't know why but there was a wierd feeling in her stomach just as she said yes.

Jack saw her and yes she is beautiful but that was the last thing on his mind now, she could be miss universe for all he cared he just couldn't get over the fact that Sue was gone.

He gave her a weak smile, but she seemed contented enough, they got to know each other, Darcy talked about Dianne then the small "orchestra" played "The Greatest Story"

The song played for a while then came the lines ... YOu got - ta tell it to___ your chil - dren let the whole world know.

He remembered something that made eyes filled with tears, that was the first time he and Sue ever met, wiping away the tears without being too obvious... Dianne noticed him, inching closer to him- not in a flirting way, but like a friend, she whispered if he would like to talk about it. At first Jack declined, But she was really persuasive... and since they had already finished dinner she suggested they could go for a walk or something, he still didn't want to, then she gave her "Even though we're strangers but that's the more reason to tell me" speech... ofcourse she said it in a caring way.

Jack finally agreed, the 2 excused themselves Bobby though pleased was in amazement, Darcy was smiling brilliantly as though letting her daughter date for the first time.

Outside the restaurant, Dianne smiled at him, her arms on her back, anticipating what he had to say, Jack sighed... not really wanting to talk but he had no choice!

"So..." she said raising her eyebrow, "So what!" Jack replied in an innocent voice... "Come on Hudson you have to tell me we're already out you know!" it hit him, Sue always had a habit of calling him Hudson if she was teasing... everywhere he turned was a little memory of her, he wish he could just say goodbye for the last time.

I DO not like the depressed Jack. Please fix this. Please.......

Oh poor Jack. He has to find Sue before she ends up with the doctor guy!!!

I think Sneha said it all, get Jack up to NY and having him rescue Sue from that stupid doctor while you are at it.
