Feel better Tracy!

Sorry to have lied to you all but Im feeling better.. I still feel pretty sore and headachy but the sickness has passed.. I was probably just hungry

Anyhoo, please enjoy (once again, sorry that its so short)

Dimitrius rubbed his eyes as he made his way to his car. After supper with Stanley, he had decided to go to the mall and try to find a suitable gift for Donna for Valentine's Day. None was found. He could feel the exhaustion and cold creeping into his bones but he refused to let it get to him - at least not until he was at home, in his bed. He chastised himself for driving 15 minutes away from the already 30 minutes from home Chicken Shack. If he was lucky and if traffic was on his side, he could be home in 50 minutes. He heard a strange noise and whipped around only to see a man holding a gun, aimed directly for D.

"Woah!" He said, louder then he had hoped.

"Shut up." Jeff said with equal volume.

"Jeff. What are you doing?" D immediately recognised Jeff Taylor and rolled his eyes.

"What does it look like Im doing?"

"It looks like you're trying to get caught."

"No, you're alone."

"Oh really? Are you sure?" D found his opportunity when Jeff glanced over his shoulder. D kicked his legs grabbing the gun as he did so, then punching his face, knocking him to the ground. "That wasn't a good move. You see, if you were good at this, you would have just shot me." D delivered another blow when Jeff struggled for the gun that D now possessed. He pulled out the pair of handcuffs which he had brought and after using them on Jeff, he gave him a hand to help him up. Jeff was less then impressed.

"What do you think you're going to do with me?" He asked in a sarcastic tone. D shrugged.

"Well I was think we could go for a nice scenic drive to the beach in Virginia where we could enjoy some deep sea diving." He rolled his eyes again as he pushed Jeff towards his car.

THis should be good...

I love that even though D's bones may be starting to creak that he is still as light on his feet as ever. He's still in good enough shape to give the bad guy a wallop!

Jack was shocked to find out that he had been played by a dog. Of course, he couldn't blame Levi since he probably didn't know he was in the middle of this con anyways. Sue had collapsed in giggles and Jack couldn't help but laugh at how well she had played him.

"How long were you planning on pulling a Levi on me?"

Sue smiled. "Lucy told me to wait until Valentines Day."

"Oh so the point was to get me so mad that I'd feel like I needed to ask you for a date?"

"Well, ya, something like that." She strode to the couch with Jack following behind.

"So what are you going to do now? Pretend you're dating Bobby?"

Sue's face blanched. "You mean you didn't know." Jack simply rolled his eyes as Sue smiled. "I'm kidding. No, it's fine. It was just a joke."

"I can hardly wait to see what you'll do for April Fools."

"I'll have to ask Lucy." They took their seats and Sue reached for a pillow, pulling it close to her chest. "Soo.." She quietly said, glancing from Levi, who occupied to floor, to Jack then to the wall behind him.

"What are you doing for Valentine's Day anyways?"

"Well I was going to spend it with Joseph.. I mean Levi just watching a movie that Lucy wanted."

"Hmm I'm very glad I'm not Lucy's best friend."

Sue chuckled. "She's not bad. She just likes to watch romantic movies."

"Like what?"

"Umm, well last Valentine's Day we watched The Notebook."

"Oh. How was it?"

"I don't know. I slept through it. How about you? What are you doing for Valentine's Day?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't thought that about it much. I've been kinda busy with the case."

"Oh yes, about that. Sara is supposed to meet you tomorrow."

"Oh yeah. You think she'll like me?"

Sue smiled. "Who could resist?"

Tara felt Bobby's heart beat jump when the phone rang. They both chuckled as he reached for it and handed it to her.

"Hello?" She said, attempting to hide the exhaustion in her voice.

"Hey, Tara, It's D."

"D, it's," She checked her watch. "2 a.m. What are you still doing up?"

"I found Jeff."

"Really?" She sat up straight and Bobby rubbed his eyes then watched her. "Uhuh. Okay, thanks. We'll be there soon. Ya, Bobby's here too. Okay, bye." She pushed the off button then looked at Bobby. "D found Jeff. He sais he'll tell us more when we're there." Bobby nodded.

"Okay, let's go."

"What were you thinking?" Jack asked as he and Bobby quietly paced the interrogation room. Jeff sat, glancing from both of them. "First you run off, then you shoot one of our agent, then try to kidnap another? Or were you planning on killing D?"

Jeff shrugged. "Didn't matter to me."

Bobby gave a disgusted groan as he leaned down and came face to face with the man who had shot him. "You know what? You've got alot of nerve." He said, poking a finger at Jeff's chest. "You make me sick. You come here acting like some kinda wounded bear and then we find out you set the trap!" He pushed off and continued his pacing as Jack eyed.

"You know, you didn't hurt Bobby that bad. Or at least not as bad as you might have hoped. So what was your plan?"

"Just get a few of you out of my way. You were too close."

"Too close? To what?" Bobby asked, curiously watching the man.

"Too close to the truth."

Jack took a seat. "Oh you mean to truth about you being an abusive father and husband?"

Jeff shrugged. "Hey, what can I say? A man's gotta do what a man's gotta.."

"Oh that is the biggest load of cat's crap I've ever heard." Jack tried to surpress his laughter at Bobby's choise of words as he watched him lay into Jeff. "How in the world can you be that kind of an idiot and then say 'Oh, A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do?' You're sick." He quickly turned and walked out, Jack following behind. They stopped in the hall.

"You okay?" Jack asked quietly.

Bobby shrugged. "People like that can get under your skin."

Jack smiled. "Ya. And what was with 'Cat's crap'?" He asked giving Bobby a fake punch to which Bobby simply smiled.

"Sometimes you've gotta say what you've gotta say."

Well, I've gotta say that the cat's crap thing, definately put a smile on my face... ... and a stich in my side. Wonderful Tracy!

Bobby returned to the bullpen and quickly went straight to his desk. Tara noticed.

"What happened in there?" She asked, stepping away from her desk and going to his.


Bobby shrugged with a smile. "Well first things first, we know he's a jerk. Second, he pretty well attmitted to being abusive. Everything else we got from Karlee seems to match up. We've got our guy."

Tara nodded. "Good."

"Hey, how are you doing?" He asked, suddenly turning to a whisper.

"I'm okay. Thanks for being there with me." He gentlty took her hand in his.

"Anytime." He gave a wink before releasing her hand and turning back to his desk. Tara turned and walked back to hers.

Jack and Sue walked silently along the sidewalk on their way to Sue's building.

"So everything is wrapped up then?"

Jack nodded. "Ya. Lock, stock, and barrel."

"Are you trying to confuse me?"

He chuckled then signed, "Lock" "Stock" "and barrel"

She nodded. "Thankyou. So now that you're done with that, have you thought about what you're going to do for Valentine's Day?"

He shrugged. "Not really. A little holiday isn't first on my mind."

Sue smiled. "Me neither but Im trying to get any excuse to stay away from my house that day."

"Why's that?"

"Chick flicks."

"Oh yes." Jack smiled and chuckled as they reached Sue's door.

"Well thankyou for walking me home."

Jack nodded, suddenly acting nervous as he checked his watch. "Well I didn't see how you should have come there anyways. Jeff's going to jail and we're done. You should have just had a good nights sleep."

"You know how I don't like to be excluded."

Jack chuckled. "Yes, I know."


Slowly, she nodded. "Alright."

"Okay."

"Thankyou."

"Yup." She then turned and after giving a wave, walked through the doors, giving Levi the chance to enter first. "Wait a second." Jack finally said, seeing Sue dissapear inside. He followed her, running to catch up. "Sue." He touched her shoulder and she whirled around.

"What's wrong?"

"Sue, would you like to go with me on Valentine's Day? I mean since we're both available.. for a date?"

She smiled. "I'd like that."

"Okay."

Nice hint Sue!

I wonder if Jeff realizes how lucky he is that Bobby didn't tear his head off!!!

YAHOO! He actually asked her and she said yes! Yay! Go Jack, Go Jack!

Sue opened the door to her apartment and almost ran into Lucy.

"Oh!" They both cried, looking somewhat shocked.

"Wow, you look beautiful." Sue stated seeing Lucy's done up hair and the black dress that cascaded down her thin body. Lucy shrugged.

"Thanks."

"Did you just get in?" Sue closed the door behind her and unlatched Levi from the leash then began to shed her outer garments.

"Ya."

"It's pretty late." Lucy nodded then smiled.

"I know. I went to another wedding."

"Wow. This must be the season of love. You just went to one last week." Lucy smiled again.

"I know." They both walked to the kitchen where Lucy said, "Here, I have about 6 pieces of wedding cake so if you want some, be my guest."

"I'd love some." Sue said as she sat down. Lucy nodded then walked to the fridge where she pulled out a platter with both white and brown cake. "They must think you have a big family."

"Actually I'm the last one to leave so I get the leftovers." They both chuckled as Lucy sat down two pieces then took her own seat. "So I saw you out there with Jack."

Sue nodded as she took a bit of the cake. "Oh this is really good."

"Ya. Sooo..?"

"So what?"

"Come on. What did he say?"

"Oh nothing.. It's just, We're going out on Valentines Day." She put another bite in her mouth just as she said the last part but Lucy understood in anyways.

"What?!" She happily gasped. Sue smiled.

"Ya, He told me that since we were both available that night that he would love to go out on a date with me. I agreed."

"Well Duh!" Lucy giggled. "Oh I can't believe this. All my hard work is paying off."

"You're right, if it weren't for you this probably wouldn't have happened."

"Really?" Sue nodded with a smile.

"If it wasn't for your terrible taste in chick flick's, he wouldn't have asked me out."

Chick flicks aren't terrible depending on which ones they are....but I would prefer a date with Jack over chick flicks any day of the week!

If it's that bad, I wonder what movies Lucy had in mind. There are very few who can pluck at my heartstrings.

Jack drove silently yet he held the smile he had gotten when Sue had said Yes to their date. Now all he had to do was make it perfect. He had hoped that if she would say yes, he would ask her to marry him on Valentine's Day. No matter what the answer, she was always going to have a place in his heart. A huge place. A place where Allie and Jessica couldn't even begin to fill a speck of. She was his and he was hers. Period.

He drove up to the curb where he stopped and turned the car's ignition off. He stepped out after taking the keys out and closed the door behind him, pressing the lock button just after. The two honks let him know that the deed had been completed. He walked towards the building and opened the front door. He kept walking down the long hallway til he reached the elevator. He pressed the up button and waited for the doors to swing open. When they did, he walked in, turned and closed them. The elevator jerked up as soon as he made his selection. He patiently waited for it to stop, then waited for the doors to swing open again.

He stepped out and turned right, walking past door after door after door. Finally he reached the one he wanted. He knocked then waited to hear the familiar voice.

"Who is it?"

"It's Jack."

"Come on in, Mate."

He went to see Bobby why?
