Jack's breath caught in his throat as Sue appeared in the door. He watched her slowly walk towards him - way too slowly in his mind. All he could think about was how beautiful she looked and how he could hardly wait for tonight. He had waited so long and finally.. FINALLY Sue was his! His heart pounded in his chest and he was tempted to loosen his collar again but doing that once more and Bobby would have punched him.

Sue's mind was spinning but somehow, she managed to keep a smile and walk straightly down the aisle. Her father had met her but seconds before she started to walk. He took her arm before placing a gentle kiss on her cheek and plunging forward. Sue could see Jack's small smile and she wanted nothing more then to pull him to her and kiss him.

Lucy and Tara's grins could have lit up the room if the hydro had gone off, Sue thought with a smile as she made her way to the front. She gave the two women a wink before handing her bouquet of white and pink roses to Lucy. She then slowly turned to Jack. They had finally reached the front. Michael Thomas gently released her and placed another kiss on her cheek. After, he looked to Jack and gave him a firm handshake, his eyes flashing a kind warning. And Jack knew what he was being warned about. He nodded then released Michael's hand. Jack then took Sue's hands in his as Michael took his seat beside Carla.

The pastor then began. "Ladie's and Gentlemen." He said, starting quietly. Sue looked to him and watched him with intensity. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Jackson Samuel Hudson and Susan Marie Thomas. After knowing eachother for many years, Jack and Sue have pledged their love to eachother and decided to step into holy matrimoney." Jack squeezed Sue's hand tightly as she smiled. "If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Jack turned his head and glanced at Bobby as if waiting for say "I'll clobber whoever objects."

"Then we shall proceed." The pastor said and Jack turned back to him. "Jack, do you take Susan to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold? In sickness and in health? For richer or for poorer? For better or for worse, from this day forward?"

He nodded then quietly said, "I do"

"Sue, do you take Jack to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold? In sickness and in health? For richer or for poorer? For better or for worse, from this day forward?"

Sue nodded as well. "I do."

"The Lord has said that a man shall leave his mother and marry and he and his wife shall become one." A huge grin filled Sue's face. "Do you have the rings?"

Bobby leaned down to Levi and took the basket before rubbing his head vigourously. He then turned back and handed the two rings to Jack and Sue. They gently placed the rings on eachothers fingers.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Immediately and without a seconds hesitation, Jack leaned in and kissed his beautiful bride as laughter and applause broke out.

I love a good wedding, especially a Jack and Sue wedding.

He wouldn't be the only one, I'm sure. I think all of us would have gone , , , AND on them!

Well the babysitting is done and it was longgggg and exhausting and Im thrilled to be back home So on with the story and with the reception.



Jack and Sue stood at the front of the church, taking hugs and handshakes as everyone made their way to the reception room which was in the back.

Bobby was one of the first to congratulate the two. "Well, Sparky, I never thought you'd go through with it." He said with a smile and a playful punch then turning to Sue he said, "Congratulations. I hope he'll be pretty easy to handle.. But don't forget, keep him on a short leash." After some laughs and a quick hug, the line quickened and everyone passed to the back until it was only Jack and Sue left in the sanctuary.

"Well," Jack quietly said with a smile, taking both Sue's hands in his. "Are you ready?"

"I sure am."

Everyone took their seats at the assigned chairs in the back room where tables and chairs had been set up awaiting the guests. As Jack and Sue entered, Bobby went to the front of the room and said, "The bride and groom!" With another grin, he sat down. Jack and Sue walked to their table and sat down, looking around the room.

Myles had volunteered to be their "music man" as he said and refused anything less so they agreed. Jack was positive that some Vivaldi was playing and thought it perfect.

It was finally time for the newlywed's dance after a half an hour of talking with everyone and eating. The two stood and made their way to the centre of the room where they stopped. Jack pulled Sue to him and held her gently. She quietly asked, "What song did you pick?"

"What are you hearing right now?" He asked, slowly beginning to lead.

Sue, thinking the song was playing, began to sway with him. "Jack, I can't hear anything."

"Exactly."

"What?"

"That's the music. Nothing. I wanted to hear what you hear for our first dance."

Emotion wrapped itself in Sue's throat as she realised what Jack had done. He had sacrificied their first dance song for her and now, their song was silence. After a few dead silent moments, he pulled back and smiled. "How do you know when it's over?"

He smiled. "It's never over."

Everyone's eyes were shiny with tears as the two made their way back to their seats. Applause quickly followed.

Sue's father watched the two carefully, seeing how they sat at the table with their friends. They smiled, they laughed, they joked.. Everything friends should do. But Michael was having trouble keeping his mind on the group as his mind wandered to memories and a distantly remembered song.

Bobby slowly stood from his seat and walked to the front where he took the small microphone in his hand. "I hope you all don't mind, but I'd like to say a few words." He immediately noticed how Jack smiled as if waiting for Bobby to say something silly. "Well, I've known Jack for a long time. We've been really good friends for a long time and he's helped me alot. Even when I was being a real drongo, Jack helped me through it. And then, along came the best thing that ever happened to him. Myles." Laughter erupted. "Myles gave Jack a piece of work to work with and Jack did. He acted as the perfect team supervisor and he has been that way ever since we met. And then, one day, along came Sue. I knew that ol' Sparky's life would never be the same. Heck, no one's life would ever be the same. Sue changed all of our lives. She gave us something new that we could have. A new gift. Something we never thought about. She gave us a new aspect on life.. And at the risk of sounding too deep, I should stop." Jack chuckled as he tightened his hold on Sue's back where his arm rested on the back of her seat. "So, to the happy couple, Mr. and Mrs... Jack and Sue Hudson!" Applause and laughter broke out and all eyes turned back to Jack and Sue who gave a quick kiss. "And uh, at the risk of now turning everything back to me, I'd love to have your attention back for a moment." Everyone looked back to him as he shifted with a smile. "Well, I had something really good happen to me too. And her name is Tara." Immediately, Tara straightened in her seat as if shocked that he would bring her up in the middle of Jack and Sue's wedding reception. Slowly, Bobby walked towards her, still holding the microphone. "Tara, thankyou for being there for me. You're really the most wonderful woman I've ever met." When he got down on one knee, there was complete silence except for Tara's sharp inhale of breath. "Tara Williams, will you marry me?"

What a way to ask....

I suppose we should be happy that Sue doesn't think about herself all the time or her wedding would have been ruined. I think it's a lovely way to ask and I hope she answers. I know I'd be speechless, though.

Tara was positive that her heart had completely stopped beating when Bobby knelt in front of her. He gently took her hand in his and carressed it as he spoke those 6 words.

"Tara Williams, will you marry me?"

At the risk of stealing Jack and Sue's thunder, she glanced over to them in a daze. Sue nodded with a wink and smile while Jack did the all so famous Hudson wink. Slowly, Tara turned back to the man she loved in front of her. His hand rested on her thigh as he held hers in his warm hand. Her mouth didn't seem to want to function when she finally came up with a suitable answer. So, at the possiblity of saying the wrong thing, she simply nodded.

Bobby jumped up and pulled her to him with a chuckle. More applause filled the room, including Jack and Sue who stood from their seats and clapped, making their way towards the now crying Tara and Bobby.

"Congratulations." The two said with smiles as Tara backed away and gave Sue a tight hug. Bobby gave Jack another handshake resulting in a quick hug. Tara pulled back from Sue and went back into Bobby's arms. He slowly pulled her back as the room fell silent. He pulled out a blue velvet box from his pocket and held it out to her. Her hands automatically flew to her mouth and she smiled when he opened it.



"Oh, Bobby.." She said, all words escaping her. "It's beautiful."

He gently took it out and rolled it onto her finger until it sat on the end, tightly in position. Tara looked up to him and walked forward, wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling his lips to hers. As soon as their lips met, more applause sounded from everyone near. They pulled back quickly and returned hugs with the rest of the team who had gathered around them.

Pretty soon, no one sat anymore. Everyone was up and talking to the now two happy couples. The reception ended all to soon for Sue's liking but she knew that Jack was thrilled it was over. They said their goodbyes to everyone which took a very long time. It was nearing 11 o'clock by the time everyone left, excluding Sue's parents who had stayed since they wanted to say something.

Carla took Sue into the nursery and placed both hands in her daughters. "Oh, Sue.. You looked so beautiful today." She said with a smiled. Sue pulled her hands out and wrapped them around her mother, resulting in a hug. "I am so proud of you." Carla said when she pulled back so her daughter could see her mouth. "I know that you and Jack will be very happy together."

"How do you know that?"

"I can see it when a man looks at a woman with greed and lust. And that is not the way Jack Hudson looks at you, Sweetie. He looks at you with adoration and admiration. Pure love."

"Jack." Michael said, taking Jack's hand firmly in his. Jack straightened and gave a smile. "You did very nice today." He continued, releasing Jack's hand.

"Thankyou Sir."

"Jack, I need to talk to you.. as a father. As you know, Sue is my only daughter."

Jack nodded. "Yes, Sir, I know that."

"I need you to promise me that you will take good care of her. I'm not saying that because I doubt you," He quickly said, stopping Jack from speaking. "I'm saying it because I trust you. And I want to know that you can do it."

"Sir, I will give Sue the best life I can possibly give her. I want to love her until I can't love anymore. I want her to be with me until the day I die. I love her with everything I am and with everything I have."

"Would you move to Alaska to be with her?"

Jack smiled. "I would move anywhere to be with her."

Michael thrust out his hand again and Jack saw the tears glistening in his eyes. "You have my blessing."

"Thankyou Sir."

"Please.. call me Michael."

Ok, you've got me melting.


I loved Tara's response....I could just picture it. The ring is beautiful; simple and just perfect.

Bobby volunteered to drive Tara home and since she was still relatively speechless, she agreed. He held her left hand in his right as they drove. She noticed how he fingered the ring and she smiled. "Thankyou." She quietly said, her voice breaking. She cleared her throat and repeated it.

He smiled. "I got it the first time, Luv."

"Why? Why did you do it?"

"Because I love you."

They drove in comfortable silence for the rest of the way until they arrived at her house. "I still can't believe that Jack and Sue are married." Tara said with a smile.

Bobby agreed. "Ya, It is pretty weird."

"I guess.. I guess we're next." Instead of answering, he leaned in and gently tickled her lips with his. She backed away with a smile. "For some reason it feels different now."

"Bad?"

She shook her head as she gazed into his eyes, in which she could see pure love. "Not at all." She leaned forward as he did and they met in a mix of love and desire.

Jack and Sue drove in silence to his house. He wished he could have gotten them a jet plane to get from the church to the house since he could hardly hold back the desire that had consumed his mind. He turned to Sue who was sitting straight in her seat, staring ahead. He knew that if he spoke, she wouldn't hear it so he didn't bother. He simply took her hand in his. She smiled and looked at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked, glancing from her to the road.

She nodded. "Ya. Are you?"

"Better then okay."

She smiled as he pulled the car to a stop in front of his building. They got out quickly and walked in. He wasn't even sure if he locked the door as they made their way up but what did it matter. The second they got into the elevator and it's large doors shut, he turned to her, wrapping his arms around her waist, then backing her to the wall until she hit it.

Then he dove it, capturing her lips in his, gently showing what was to come - and she couldn't wait. They stopped when the doors open and two elderly ladies stood outside, waiting to enter. Jack quickly cleared his throat and walked out, pulling Sue's hand which was held in his. They gave a smile to the woman who watched them with smiles.


Jack heard them whisper, "Some woman get everything." He held his chuckle until he opened his door and let Sue in. Levi immediately bounded off the couch where he laid down. "Levi, you're not supposed to.."

"Don't worry about it." He said with a smile, watching as the dog turned and rolled onto his back, completely ignoring the couple. He turned to her and looked into her eyes. "I love you Mrs. Hudson."

She chuckled. "That's gonna be hard to get used to."

"In a bad way?"

She silently wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a gentle kiss before saying, "Not at all."

When her breath tickled his lips, he knew he couldn't hold back anymore. His desire had exploded and there was no way to take it back - but he had no worries. Sue's mind was racing with thoughts that were making no sense to her. The only thing that mattered was that Jack was touching her and kissing her. Her husband was. She smiled when he pulled back, passion written in his dark eyes. He motioned with his head to the bedroom and she nodded. She had never been so scared of him. But it wasn't him she was afraid of. She had never been with a man before and she was proud of that. She silently wondered if Jack would be dissapointed with her.

As soon as they entered the bedroom, Jack slowly shut the door. After doing so, he placed his head against it. "Are you okay?" Sue asked, worry creeping into her.

He turned back and gave a weak smile. "I don't want to hurt you." He quietly mouthed. She almost started to sob. The man she loved, her husband, didn't want to touch her in fears of hurting her.

"Oh Jack.." She whispered, quickly walking to him and wrapping her arms around him. "You won't.. I promise."

He nodded slowly then moved in, moving his lips over hers. They danced to their song in the silence as their passion reigned the night. He slowly moved her to the bed and laid her down. He stayed over her, hovering, trying to capture everything she gave him. And she gave him everything. He took it with joy as she showed him the love she desired and the love she held only for him. He thanked God for the gift that was shared that night. The gift of love and love in and of itself.

Okay, I really don't want to be a liar, but I felt I should add an epilogue.. I'm sorry but it will be finished as soon as I press post



- Epilogue -

Tara, Bobby, Lucy, Myles, Dimitrius, Jack and Sue all sat in the living room of Jack and Sue's new house. The house they had chosen was one that fit perfectly with their lives. That is until Sue found something out the other day. She had never been so nervous about telling someone something but at the same time, she was thrilled. Jack noticed her change in mood as everyone laughed and spoke to eachother around the couple.

"You okay?" He asked, squeezing her shoulder. She looked up to him and smiled.

"I have something to tell you."

"Okay."

Everyone stopped talking after a moment when they saw Sue move in and whisper something into Jack's ear. All was silent as she backed away and Sue smiled. Jack looked to be in complete shock. "You okay, Spark?" Bobby asked, concern etching his tone.

Jack slowly nodded then looked to Sue. "Are you sure?" She nodded. Suddenly, he pulled her to him and tightly hugged her. She couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. She had been so scared.

"Okay, what did we miss?" Tara asked, sitting beside Bobby on the edge of his chair as she gently massaged his back.

Jack pulled back and looked to the group. "Sue's pregenant!" He said loudly and everyone jumped up, screaming and laughing, quickly pulling the two into hugs as congratulations filled the air.

With my story now finished, I've been trying to catch up reading all the other stories out there. I've just completed reading yours, from start to finish. I agree with what everyone else has said in their comments, but do want to add a few of my own:

1. This was simply a wonderful, heartfelt love story, so tender and touching, not only with Jack and Sue, but Bobby and Tara. But there was also mystery and angst, something I'm not sure I can do.

2. My favorite part was the "silent dance". That was so original, a stroke of genius, and epitomizes Jack's love for Sue. I envy you for being able to think of things like that. It is truly a gift. Your portrayal of Jack is exactly how I picture him, and the Jack that I wrote about, and it just makes my heart burst with joy for Sue and, of course, fall more madly in love with Jack. He is every girl's dream come true and you capture that perfectly.

3. I also loved your reception video and song. That was so touching and was in keeping with the short clips we saw on the show of Sue's dad's character. That is also the kind of dad you just know Jack will be.
