I dunno.... these guys are sure slow to lots of things but quick to conclusions.... Maybe it is time for a lesson on why it's best not to assume anything.... since it makes a... you know what out of u and me....
***********************************************************************Bobby glanced at the clock. "We've got time... Why don't you fill me in on what I don't know?"
Tara rolled her eyes. "Jack heard too, didn't he....?" Bobby nodded. "Ah well.... Sue knows so she'll set him straight before he gets to work." She commented, absently.
Bobby raised a brow. "SUE already knows?"
"Are you missing the point of what a girls night is all about?" Tara complained. "We weren't even dating yet when the girls found out. Sue, Lucy, Tempe, Angela and I all got together that second day Sue and I staked out the Jeffersonian." Tara said, slapping his arm when he still pouted. "I knew you and Jack would react badly." She fretted, sighing. "I should just let you think whatever you've already condemned me for."
She moved as if to get up, so Bobby snagged her around the waist. "I'm sorry, Tara luv." He said, nuzzling the spot behind her ear that always gave her shivers. "You're right. We should have come to you and not Booth for the story." He kissed her cheek. "So spill it."
Tara grinned. "See, Booth knew his part and kept me out of the loop and I was told to keep my part and not let him in my loop. Mine was a much more delicate loop to be in on." She snuggled into the comforting circle of his arms. "The part that Booth didn't know was that I had very small dosages of rohypnol, you know... one of the date rape drugs?" She looked up at him. "Really really small doses. The guys would follow me in for a drink and a dance, I'd serve them the doctored drinks and not even have to un-button a button. I'd grab what we needed, scans of the contents of their wallets.... cell phone scans... whatever. Then as they started coming around, I'd act like I was getting dressed." Tara shrugged. "They would be so embarassed that I was so regrettably forgettable and shoved huge wads of money at me as they were leaving. Hence... Tips." Bobby looked at her skeptically. "Honest Bobby. Now would you stop looking at me like you don't believe me? It's been long enough, I'm sure we can pull the case file so you can read my briefing."
Bobby chuckled. "Tara luv, to me, you will never be anything close to regrettably forgettable." He raised her hand to his lips, brushing a kiss across the back of it. "You have engraved yourself on my soul." He sighed. "You know, I think I react so strongly to things that involve you... even things that happened before I had the right to react... because of how strong my love is for you. It feels like it wraps itself around every emotion and every part of my life."
Tara looked up at him, tears filling her eyes. "That's beautiful, Bobby. You really feel that?" He nodded. Tara reached up and pulled him down into a kiss. "So am I forgiven? I swear, I think that's like the last thing you didn't know."
Bobby smiled. "You're forgiven. Can we call in sick today?"
Tara smirked. "Only if you're going to go shopping with me and weigh in on bridesmaids dresses. Which... we need to talk about that soon. I need to figure out who needs to shop for one."
"I'd rather weigh in on wedding dresses." Bobby said, making a face.
"Ah.... um... well.... no." Tara said, shaking her head. "You'd only be looking to see how easy it will be to get me out of it. Besides, it's bad luck for the groom to see the dress before the wedding."
Bobby's jaw dropped. "I hadn't even thought about how easy we need the dress to be to get you out of...." He said, teasingly.
"Well, get over it. You ain't going shopping with me for my dress. I'm doing that on Sunday with the girls."
"While I'm at my meeting..." Tara nodded. Bobby pressed kisses along her jaw. "I might go tomorrow though.... D said something about a Superbowl party on Sunday." He kissed her. "Ok, Tara luv. We won't call in sick. Although if Sue doesn't tell Sparky, you might wish you rethought that decision...." He suggested hopefully.
"You're impossible." Tara groaned as she got off the couch and headed to go get ready for a Friday at the office.
