I finally buckled down and wrote my entry for the challenge!!! And I thought I should enter before my birthday so- ENJOY!!

A/N: This is a Bones story with the pairing (you guessed it) of Booth/Brennan. Rating is K+ ( T at most) only for a couple of swearing words. This is pure fluff and nothing else!





Temperance Brennan sighed as she locked the door to her office at 3 p.m.. Everyone was forced to leave the Jeffersonian to prevent people from being snowed in. It wasn't snowing any other day, just today it started and luckily for Brennan, Special Agent Seeley Booth didn't come to the lab with a new case. She was walking past the examination table when she collided with with someone and landed on her ass while loose papers were falling gently to the floor.

"Jesus, Bones, I'm so sorry." Booth said as he gathered up the papers.

"It's okay... Thanks." Brennan said as she took the papers from him and shoved them into her bag. Booth walked with Brennan as he asked, "Why are you leaving so early anyways Bones?"

"Everyone was sent home to prevent them from being snowed in.'

"Explains the papers."

"I just have to care of a couple of things regarding a new Jane Doe Zach and I have been working on, since i can't do it here, I might as well do it at home.

"You know Bones, why can't you just do something fun when you have the opportunity, not work?"

"Oh yeah, doing something in the freezing cold sounds like fun." Brennan said sarcastically as she put her bag in her car, Booth still following. Brennan didn't even know why she didn't get into her car, she just kept on walking with Booth when she could of had the chance to head home. Every building was decorated with red streamers, hearts, and anything else romantic.

"What's with all the decorations?" Brennan asked looking at all the decorations then turned her head towards Booth.

"Geez, Bones, you've never heard of Valentine's Day? You know the 'Most Romantic Day of the Year.'"

"I've heard of it, it just seems pointless."

"I don't know Bones, the day just brings a certain... what's the word, magic to the air."

"Get real Booth, there's no such thing as magic."

"Still Valentine's day is all about love and romance."

"Love is only a-"

Booth raised up a hand silencing her and said, "Please Bones, spare me the anthropology crap for just a little while."

Brennan rolled her eyes and pulled her jacket tighter around herself as the snow came down a little harder and said, "This holiday is pointless. I mean it's just for people for actually are in a relationship and it just make those who don't have anyone feel bad. Like as if they can't live life without a relationship, bad or not."

"That may be true, but even some people still dream of a perfect true love, even though they know it's not gonna happen."

Brennan chuckled and said, "The way you put, kind of whether or not you're one of those people too."

"Okay that I so didn't do, even I knew there was no such thing as a 'happily ever after.'"

Brennan walked a little faster, rolled her eyes and said, "Sure you did, Booth. Sure you did."

He walked a little faster and called out, "I'm serious Bones!"

"Sure you are!" Brennan walked across the street, she began running through a park as she noticed that Booth was actually running after her. He was so close to her and she never had a chance. He wrapped his arms around her waist and spun her in a circle as she lifted her up.



'Booth, seriously, put me down!" Brennan tried pulling at his arms, while giggling at the same time.

He gave in, released her and said, "Besides Valentine's Day is all about being with someone that you truly care about." They started walking again, Brennan asked, "How you tell if it's that person?"

"Sometimes even the simplest or biggest things can leave you with an intense rush."

"Like what?" They both stopped, he turned to her and said,

"Are you asking me to show you?"

She shrugged and said, "Yeah, if you think you know how then prove it."

He stepped closer to her and said, "Bones, it's more of the way that someone does it that can leave someone breathless. Like the way he says how gorgeous you look, or the way he brushes some hair out of the way so he can see how beautiful your face is."Booth did so, his smallest brush of his fingertips against Brennan's face left her skin on fire. He stepped closer to her, never breaking the gaze of chocolate brown with an icy blue. Their faces were so close but she didn't stop it.

Booth leaned closer and whispered, "Or the way he gets so close to your face and he teases you by mingling your breath with yours."

It was true, Brennan could feel Booth's warm breath against her face. Booth inched his face closer to hers stopping halfway and whispered, "And after all of that, he just waits and waits for you to make the final move."



Brennan didn't give her actions a second thought, she slowly closed the space between them, a short kiss that left them wanting more. They parted to catch their breath. Brennan smiled looking at the ground, not wanting to make eye contact. He lifted her chin and they were soon kissing all over again. This time longer than the first, it made the first one seemed damned. Booth's arms went around her waist, keeping her close, Brennan's arms around his neck.



They didn't know how long they were kissing, but they didn't care. Whether it was because they went around in circles around 'us' or something else, what they were doing just felt so right. It became even more passionate when Brennan's tongue went into Booth's mouth. They parted out of breath, just staring into each other's each other's eyes.

Booth was right, sometimes the biggest things can leave you out of breath, Brennan thought.
