This is my first fanfic. I'm sorry if its not to good......

Disclaimer: I don't own Sue Thomas F.B.Eye. None of the charcters belong to me. I wish they did though, because the show would sooo not be cancled.


Dear Jack


Sue sat at her desk, drumming her fingers along the top of it. It was bright Feburary morning. They had had no new cases in a while. And it seemed as though the only thing they were doing was waiting for noon, so they could go out to lunch. In the past few weeks they had finished all their paperwork.

Sue looked around the room, Tara was playing solitaire on her computer & Lucy was leaning over her shoulder watching. Myles was messing with the coffee machine, muttering under his breath about how the stupid thing would never work right. Bobby and D were talking about something, but she couldn't tell what, since their backs were facing her. And Jack...well he was doing something on his computer but she couldn't tell what.

Sue glanced down at her computer "You have new Email," it had displayed in a little window on the screen. She opened it, secretly hopeing it was from a certain agent in that very room.

It was!

Jack looked over at her, smiling as she read it.

Sue,
Wanna grab a bite to eat? Because I'm starving. Besides it dosn't look like we'll be missed.
IM Me your answer.
Jack.

Fifteen minuets later Jack and Sue were walking down the streets of DC. Jack took notice of the fact that Sue seemed distant. He touched her shoulder toget her attention, "Sue, are you okay?" he asked, genuinly worried about her. "I'm fine," she brushed him off.

Finally they decided to have lunch at Subway, but they ate in scilence. They finished eating, Jack paid and they left. Jack glanced at Sue again, something he seemed to be doing a lot of lately, especially today. Their was something wrong, something she wouldn't tell hm. "I wish she would tell me whats wrong. I hate seeing her upset and unhappy, she's my true love for crieing out lond. Even if she doesn't know it. Bobby's right I should just wise up and get it over with.

Jack turned to her, looked her in the eyes. And took a deep breath. "Sue, I..." She looked at him, wondering why he had stopped. Hi cell phone had rang. "No ma'am I'm sorry theirs no Tommy Jones at this number." He looked exasperated "That was a real perfect time time to get a wrong number," he thought to him self.

Sue looked at her watch. It was ten-past-two. "Jack we had better get back to work before they send a search party," she said. And turned in the other direction to get to her car.

Later that night Sue was sitting on the sofa in her and Lucy's appartment, when Lucy walked in the room and sat down next to her. Sue turned to face her, "Sue, honey whats wrong? You know Jack was really worried about you today. And frankly so am I," she said. Sue looked down, reluctiant to tell her friend at first what was troubling her. Lucy sat and watched her, for a few long moments before Sue finally looked in her face again.

Sue took a deep breath "I guess its just that, well....I have been working this job for going on five years. And me and Jack, well we just......." She trailed offa little. But Lucy sat patiently. Sue started again, "Jack and I, ever since the day we met. I have felt like we belong together. And sometimes I think he feels the same. But other times I'm not so sure. And I guess I'm getting tired of waiting for him to ask me out, if he ever will at all. I'm not even 100% sure that he likes me or no. All I know is that I, well, I love him." Lucy smiled, and said "Sue, I have known Jack for a long time, andmost certanily likes you. But the truth is Sue, your smart, and gorgous, and you have the kindest heart of probably anybody I have ever met. And Jack, he's proably jsut worried you'll turn him down."

Sue smiled, "you really think so," she asked. "Absoloutly," Lucy answered. "But maybe instead of waiting around for him, you should make the first move." And with that thought Lucy left her, tog o do something or other in the kitchen.

Sue decided Lucy was right so she got up and went to her computer, to Email Jack.

And it said:

Dear Jack,

I'm really sorry for being distant today, I just had a LOT on my mind.

In these past five years we have gotten to know eachother very well. Since that very first day we met, when I stormed into your office thinking it was personell, you have changed my life. I don't know how I ever got along without you. And every minuet that we spend together, you leave me wanting more. Every day you seem to capture another little peice of my heart. And since that day at Callahan and Merced, when we kissed, I can't stop from thinking I want you to kiss me again (and it dosn't help that I have to look at your lips all the time either). Jack Hudson you are the most amazing man I have ever met. And I don't want to lose you. I love you.

it's good... but left me a little hanging... how about an epilogue? did sue send the email? what did jack say/do after he reads it?

My goodness -- that was short...but sweet. I guess it definitely fits in the short story category! I like the fact that you built the storyline around Sue's finally taking some action. I'm thinking she sent and we all know how Jack would have reacted!

Nice and short....well I agree with whoever it was saying it left me too...consider doing an epilogue it might tie up those loose ends. What did Jack think of the email?

That email had to have gained a certain dark-haired agent's attention. I would like to see you go for it, and write about what happened when he received it.

Secondly, I would have to agree that an epilogue would be nice, but I think we can all see pretty clearly what Jack's reaction is!! I agree with Marlo, he would have gotten in his car and driven to her apartment!!!

Hey there! Welcome to the board! I just wanted to say that you are off to a pretty good start. I agree with the gang here that you should do an epilogue. We would love to see how Jack reacts to that. We can be pretty demanding when it comes to wanting more story. LoL!

Sue and Lucy's appartment. 11:37 pm

Sue held her breath, hesitating pressing the send button. She just couldn't help thinking "What if he doesn't like me like that? What if this recks our friendship?" She shook her head, in an attempt to get rid of thoughts that were plauging her.

She pushed send. Silently hoping with all that she was, that she was doing the right thing.

Jacks appartment

Jack went to bed early that night. He just wanted to get away from the world.

Jacks Dream:

It was the night of the childrens charity bachlor auction......"And the date with the captivating Agent Hudson," Elanor announced, "has been won by none other, than yours truly." A woman whisperd something into Elanor's ear, you could see the anger in Elanor's face. "Sue Thomas," she said. Looking dissapointed.

Jack looked over at Sue from across the table, (unaware of the fact that it was Tara and Lucy who bought him in Sue's name). He smiled warmly at her. One of those smiles that Sue just can't help but smile back at. A woman walked up to the table, "Mr. Leland," She started, "I'm sorry but the credit card you used to buy yourself didn't go through. Do you have another one?" Myles looked extreemly embarrased, said "Yeah, try this one," he handed her the credit card. And she left. Lucy looked at Myles in amusment "You bought yourself," she asked laughing. "I did some number crunching," Myles started, "Have youany idea what a trip to the Italin Riveara would have cost me?" He had the whole table laughing.



Later Jack walked over to Sue, "Since you bought me," He said, "The least I could do is ask you to dance." Sue smiled, "I can't hear the music remember? I could be dangerous out their," She joked. "I'll take my chances," Jack said with a smile. He lead her out to the dance floor, the whole team looking on with knowing smiles. "For somone who plays the piano, Ice skates and sings, I figured dancing wouldn't be to hard," Jack said.

Sue saw Elanor on the otherside of the room, she looked like she had been crying. "Is Elanor ok," Sue asked Jack while they were dancing. "She was a little embarrased," Jack started, "She said she didn't realize that you and I were an item."

"She must have been realived when you told her we weren't." Sue said. "Well..I didn't tell her that exactly." He said , with a smile. Sue smiled back. "Well what did you tell her exactly," she asked. "I sort of told her, that you and I were very close, and that the band was playing our song, so I had to dance with you." He sort of laughed, "I hope your not mad at me," he said with a twinkle in his eye. "No," Sue replied. "So, what is this dance of ours, that the band is playing," she asked. Jack half smiled/half laughed. "I don't know."

Sue looked around the room, and saw all the other couples who were dancing. They were happy. She looked back atJack and said, "I like it."

The Next day. Jack's appartment

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

It was Jack's alarm clock. He hated waking up in the morning, especially when he had to tear himself from dreams like that one. And the truth was, he had them more often then he would like to admit.

He went to the kitchen to make himself some coffee, and then sat down in front of his computer. He allways checked His email before going to work. He opened the email program. "Theirs one from Sue," he thought excitedly, probably to excitedly. He opened the window hastily. Getting aggravated at the computer at how slow it was going. Finally it opened. A broad smile spread over his face as he read it. "Wow," he thought.

I really enjoyed how you included the scene from the bachelor auction. That was always one of my favorite Jack and Sue moments, besides the kiss, of course.

I can't wait to see what Jack is going to do now that he knows about Sue's feelings. Will he try to woo her and sweep her off her feet?

Sorry I know it's been a while. Been pretty busy.




Later that morning. Jacks car. On the way to the Hoover building.

Jack could hardly wait to get to work today. He didn't know what he was going to say to her, but he was defanitly going to say someting. He felt like a love-sick-school-boy, and minus the school-boy part, it was basicly true. "It feels like it's taking forever to get to work today." Jack thought. At first he assumed that it was because he was just extreemly excited to get to work today. But once brought his head out of the clouds, he realised that their was a traffic jam s few blocks ahead. "Great," he thought, "Of all the days for their to be traffic jam, it had to be today."

A few blocks ahead a cop was directing traffic around the accident, while a EMT was putting a injured woman on a streacher, at that exact time Jack drove by, he saw the beautiful blond being put into the back of the ambulance, his heart stopped. It was Sue.

ER waiting room.

Jack was nervously pacing back and forth. He'd been like that for the past hour. Lucy was trying to calm him down, but the truth was she wasn't much better.

A doctor entered the room, Jack stopped pacing. You could hear a pin drop. "Are you all here for Sue Thomas," he asked. The whole team simeltaniously nodded their heads. "She broke a few ribs, and she has a minor cuncision on her forhead. She's also a little dazed and confused about what happened. But thats quite normal. Also she's asking to speak to a Jack Hudson, is he here?" he asked. Jack nodded, "thats me," he said. The doctor lead Jack out of the room, "right this way Mr Hudson."

Jack entered Sue's room. She didn't see him at first, but once he did get her attention, her heart rate went up, and you could tell because of the monotors

Hi, Jack signed. How feel you he asked with a question in his eyes. Sue smiled, "My chest hurts, and I have a headache. But other than that I'm okay," she said.
Jack sat down in a chair next to her bed, and took her hand in his. "I'm glad your ok" He said, the love in his eyes did not go unnoticed by Sue. She choked back her tears and swallowed hard, "Jack...." she whispered, not able to get anything else out, becase of the Jack's finger on her lips now silencing her. And thats when he did it, no asking her permission, no hesitation what so ever. He just leaned right in and kissed her. And for both of them it was the most wonderful kiss they had ever shared with anyone. They broke apart, but only becasue they needed air. I love you, Jack signed. "I love you too," she replied.

Oh believe me, Jack notices Sue (maybe too much then what is good for him). He is probably scared that she will reject him but also of the rule that co-workers can't date, which is a silly rule. I liked how Sue took the inuitive to tell Jack how she feels even if it is in a letter. Please write the continuation of the story, i want to know how Jack reacts to the letter and if they both live happily ever after.

sweet. liked the way you used the candy messages. i'm glad sue took the first step and admitted her feelings to jack...even if it was an e-mail. glad she wasn't hurt too badly and it was just the catalyst to get jack to admit his feelings.
