Oh Cindy! That was amazingly sweet and sincere. My eyes are all misty! At this moment, I am listening to my iPod and the theme to our favorite show is playing softly in my ears. Talk about a perfect ending!

I think I could stand a sequal or two. Outstanding, simply outstanding!

A sequel? hmmm.gif I think I'd be lying if I said there would be no sequel, but I don't have anything planned yet.

Well, I'll be ready and waiting if you do plan on one!! And yes, Jack and Sue can't be engaged forever! adulation smilie.gif

As a surprise, her friends had rehearsed beforehand and had silently signed the 'Happy Birthday' song to her in unison. Even Myles had gotten through it without incident.

That is so sweet!!

Sue smiled sweetly at him, almost getting lost in his chocolate brown eyes. "I'm just admiring the view," she said, never taking her eyes off his handsome face.

Oh yes, I enjoy "the view" myself! wub.gif

Jack gave her a lopsided smile.

melting.gif Just those 6 words and I'm gone biggrin.gif

Sue laughed lightly with him and forced herself to turn, her back pressed to his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around her waist.

Ohhh that just sounds so romantic and sweet! melting.gif

Sue tilted her head back towards Jack with a teasing glint in her eyes. "Scared Sparky?" She watched as his lips twitched into a smile.

"No, I already faced my biggest fear this week. This is a breeze," he said with a wink.

So cute! wub2.gif

"Of course I do. We're on cloud nine!"

Cindy, not only am I thrilled to have such an ending but I'm excited at the prospect of a possible sequel!

You've made my morning!! Thankyou for a fantastic story from start to finish!!!!

See, this is my favorite quote, because it speaks volumes about Jack and Sue. He is so willing to face his fear of heights to risk a helicopter ride over DC just so he and Sue could have a romantic date. And, of course, she is more than willing the tease him about his fear and comfort him if it gets to be so much.

Wonderful ending, Cindy! Just perfect! Next Stop: Cloud Nine! cloud9.gif

Ahhhhhhhhh, I feel better now! Although I was afraid something else would happen before he spoke his proposal to Sue! He was really wound up and long-winded!

Beautifully done! applause.gif

Wow, Cindy, I can't believe I missed the fun of posting comments as the story went along. dry.gif I just finished a marathon read and it was kind of fun to race through all the cliffie part. This was a real page turner with a nice dose of fuzzies thrown in. Fantastic job!

What a perfect way to end, on cloud nine.

Your readers have asked for a sequel. I hope to see one soon.

I finally was able to steal a few minutes while the family was away this evening and finished your last three posts. I agree with all the other great comments; your story was wonderful. Here are some Flowers.gif

and chocolate.gif

for a supercalifragilisticxpialidocious (sp?) story! Now just to mention a few: A great mystery and many wonderful clues, which left us hanging until the perpetrator was revealed; Judy’s twin brother…that was a great twist! I can’t leave out the warm and fuzzies. They were absolutely delicious. I especially loved that balloon ride at the end. Such a romantic way to profess his love for Sue, by doing something which he fears! And, of course, you know how I feel about those “chocolate brown eyes”.

But, Cindy, I think my favorite part was the quote below. It was so beautiful and expresses so well exactly how I think Jack would feel. I am so glad you wrote this into your story.

Cindy01 3/8/07 Quote: “Jack gave her a smile as he pulled them both to a kneeling position. He cleared his throat and in a steady voice told her, "I was going to do this on your birthday, but almost losing you tonight made me realize that I don't want to wait another second. Sue, I have no doubt that you were put on this earth to do so much good. You touch people's lives in a way that I've never thought possible for one person to do. You have so much faith and joy that you gladly share with the rest of us when we need it most." Jack took a moment to compose himself as all the feelings of that night washed over him again.

"Every person who has ever met you is better for it. That's something you never need to doubt. I am only one of the many people that God has blessed with your presence and I hope to be the one blessed with it for the rest of my life. Sue, you will make me the happiest man in the world if you'll agree to be my wife." Jack opened the small box to reveal the ring he had bought. "Will you marry me?" “

I’m sorry to see it end and will anxiously be awaiting your vignette and next full length story whenever you decide to favor us with your talent.
