Well, here is the sequel to Clues. I hope you like it!

Previously.. on Clues -

Jack - "But.. what if something happens? What if we can't get in there on time? What if.."

Sue - "Enough of the what if's. I'm doing it, Jack. And you can't stop me."

-

Tara - "What should we scratch off now?"

Jack - "Dining room and revolver."

Bobby - "One gunshot, no casing, was mostly likely killed in the dining room. There was some blood on the walls."

-

Stranger - "Good evening, Mrs. Peacock."

-

Sue - "TERRIFIED!"

-

D and Bobby - "FBI! GET YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!"

-

Bobby - "Jack, Jack. You can't hang on her like a cat, Mate."

Jack - "I know, Crash. But, it just feels better."

Bobby - "Hey. Who am I to stand in the way of two love birds."

"Good morning, everyone." Ted said as he made his way into the center of the bullpen.

"Good morning, Ted." Tara said from her desk as she flicked a stray hair behind her hair.

Ted nodded, acknowledging the silent and spoken greetings. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He said, motioning his head to Bobby and Jack who had been speaking quietly by the coffee table.

"Oh, nah." Bobby said, shaking his head as he walked to his desk. Jack did the same.

"Well, we have some news on the Clue Killer." All eyes turned to him with eagerness. "He's been sentenced for 50 years, no bail." Shouts of jubilee and gratification. "Uh, where is Miss Thomas?" Ted asked as he glanced to Sue's vacant desk.

"She was running a bit late today." Lucy stated as she poured coffee into her mug.

Ted nodded. "Alright. Well if you would, please update her."

"Will do." Lucy agreed as she slit a small bag of sugar.

"Thankyou." With a final nod, Ted turned and strode out of the room.

Bobby looked to Lucy and asked, "You said Sue was running late but this is ridiculous. It's been over an hour." He said, glancing to his watch.

"Yeah, it has been a while." Jack commented as he stood from his seated position. "Maybe I should go check on her." Lucy and Bobby turned to him with smiles. "I mean.." After stuttering to find the correct word, he shrugged and walked out.

"Have a good drive, Sparky."

"Hey, Bobby?" Tara asked as she stepped into the bullpen after being absent for a few moments. Bobby looked up from his desk.

"Yeah?"

"There's a package addressed to you."

Bobby stood and went to Tara's side, looking over her shoulder to the package covered in brown paper. Strings kept it closed and they met with a loop at the top.

"Hmm. No return address." He said quietly.

Tara nodded as she walked to her desk. "You know, I once saw a documentary on a guy who sent FBI agents packages just like that but they were bombs."

Instantly, Bobby released the package Tara had given him. It fell to the floor. Tara stopped and turned with a jump. "Well, I mean.." She stuttered seeing the surprised look on the tall Australian's face. "I'm sure it's nothing."

Bobby nodded, leaning down to retrieve the package. "Well it didn't blow up when it hit the floor so.." He stopped, putting it to his ear. He shook it gently. "I don't hear anything.."

"Just the kind of behaviour I would expect from you, Agent Manning." Bobby pulled the package down and looked into Randall Pitt's face.

With a quick cough, Bobby turned and walked to his desk, tossing the package on Myles' side.

"Hey! I don't want the bomb." He said sarcastically, throwing it back at Bobby.

Randy shook his head. "Such a disgrace to the name of the F.B.I.."

"I could tell you something else that would be a disgrace.." Myles began but was stopped when Randy produced a pile of papers. "What is that?" Myles asked, watching as his enemy walked towards him, dumping the pile onto his desk.

"For you, Leland."

Myles grinned. "Fan letters?"

"Not quite." Randy said as he took one envelope from his jacket and placed it on Jack's desk. "Good day."

As he left, Bobby curiously eyed the pile of papers and Myles shuffled through them. "What are they, Mate?"

Myles looked to him with narrowed eyes. "Rejection notices."

Bobby laughed, showing the deep dimples in his cheeks. "Oh, did you try to give him fake voucher forms again?"

"No. These are all real."

"Bobby?" Lucy asked as she looked to him from her desk.

"Yeah." He turned in his chair.

"Phone for you. Line 3."

He turned back after giving a nod then picked up the phone. "Manning." He stopped, his smile falling. "Uh, yeah I just got it." Tara looked up from her computer. "Who am I speaking to? Hello?" Angirly, he slammed the phone onto the base.

"Who was it?" Tara asked.

"I don't know." Bobby answered as he ran a finger over his lip, his other hand moving the package in every direction. "All I know is I want to see what's in here."

Ah, finally! A sequel. Looking forward to reading this one, Tracy. Now . . . what's in that mysterious package. I suspect it's not precisely on the up-and-up.
Linny27
Tracy, why do you do this to us? I mean, not that I don't like it when you creep us out, because it delivers such a wonderful story, but I just have to ask why?

So Bobby is a target, right now? I have the feeling that I'm not going to like what's in that package... what did Randy toss onto Jack's desk?

"Sue?" Jack tapped on the door gently, hoping that Levi would hear him. He nervously glanced to his watch. "9:30." He mumbled, surprised by the tartiness that Sue was showing. Than again, she wasn't answering the door. He hit the door harder, surprised when he heard Levi barking - yet no one answered the door.

Suddenly he remembered that Lucy had given him a key to their apartment. He pulled his wallet from the back pocket of his jeans, revealing a key that was tucked inside a see through pouch. He took it out and gently thrust it into the lock. It turned and the door opened.

Levi sat by the door, thrilled to see Jack. He bounded towards him, jumping at his feet. Jack leaned down, giving the dog a quick rub-down before saying, "Where's Sue?"

Immediately, the dog turned, running to the bedroom. The door was closed. How unusual, Jack thought as he knocked on it. Even though he knew Sue wouldn't be able to hear him, it just seemed inpolite to barge in without at least giving alerting her.

Slowly, he pushed the door open. "Sue?" He asked quietly, glancing around the bedroom. He stepped in and was surprised to see Sue sitting on the edge of her bed, looking out the window. Even though Jack couldn't see her face, he could hear her quiet sobs and he knew she was crying. "Levi, go get Sue." He said, giving the dog a pat.

Levi slowly went to Sue's side and gently nudged her hip. Sue looked down and rubbed the dog's head. "You need to go out?" She asked quietly.

Jack's level of concern went higher when he saw her face. She turned to him and no smile appeared on her face. Her eyes held tears and her cheeks were red.

"What's wrong?"

She looked down to Levi then back to Jack. "I'm so sorry I didn't come in.. I was going to call."

Jack stepped forward, pulling her into a hug. She gladly fell into his strong arms. "It's okay." He whispered into her hair, smelling the fragrant scent. They stayed in the same position for a minute or two then Sue stepped back, wiping her eyes.

"What's wrong?" Jack repeated.

"My.." She began before taking a deep, shaky, breath. "My Dad just had a stroke."

I hope her dad is okay. I know it must be hard for her, seeing as though they were so close. I hope Jack being there for her makes things better, though I don't think she'll truly be okay until she goes see her dad, Maybe Jack can go with her?

"Bobby!" Tara called as she saw his form in the corridor ahead of her. He stopped and turned, his hands holding the package he had received earlier. When she stopped at his side, she pointed at the box. "Did you see what's in it?" She asked breathlessly.

He nodded. "Yeah, it's not a bomb."

"Well I kinda figured after it fell on the ground." She said with a smile.

He did the same as he said, "Yeah, well.. It's full of letters."

"Letters?" She repeated.

"Yup. I got a box of letters."

They began to walk and Tara shook her head, her hair bobbing at her neck. "Wh-Why would someone send you a package that is letters? Couldn't whoever did it just slip an envelope under the door?"

Bobby shrugged as they entered the bullpen. "I don't know." Slowly, he placed the still wrapped package on Tara's desk. He tore the paper off and opened the cardboard box. He gently pulled out the first letter. "This is odd." He mumbled as he read the headline.

"What is it?" Tara asked as she stood at his side, trying to read the paper.

He lowered for her and said, "It's to a 'Mrs. Mary Green'."

"Anyone you know?"

Bobby shook his head. "No. The name doesn't mean anything to me."

"Well maybe you should read the rest of it." She said, motioning to the page. Her hand brushed his arm but only for a second - yet Bobby felt the immediately spark.

He nodded. "Yeah, yeah, I'll do that. There about a bunch more in there. Maybe you could grab one and see what it says."

Tara took her seat and took out the first letter. As they both began to read, they became enthralled in the tales that were printed on the pages.

When Jack didn't arrive back, Lucy began to worry about both him and Sue. She quickly pulled out her cellphone and dialed Sue's blackberry. No response.

As Lucy entered the bullpen, she noticed Bobby and Tara both seated at Tara's desk, reading two pieces of paper intently.

"What's going on?" She asked as she neared the two.

"You know that package I got earlier?"

Lucy nodded. "Yeah."

"Well it's full of letters."

"To you?"

"No." Tara answered, lifting a new letter from the box and handing it to Lucy. "They're addressed to a woman who died a month ago."

Lucy looked down at the letter and noticed the heading. "Dearest Mary, November 28, 1917." She whispered.

Bobby nodded as he showed his letter. "This one is dated the month before."

"Okay, but I don't get it." Lucy said, shaking her head. "Why would someone send you a box of letters to a lady who's dead?"

"I don't know. But we're hoping we can find out through these pages."

Tara glanced up then said, "Listen to this." Both Bobby and Lucy turned to her.

"To my Dearest Mary," She stopped, flicking her eyes to Bobby for a second. Lucy noticed the exchange but decided to dismiss it. "Today we walked. We walked for hours and hours. I don't know where we are going now, but I know it's got to be better than the last place we were. Mary, I know you always wanted to come to Europe and perhaps I shall take you one day. But, my dearest, that day must be one when I can firmly believe that there are no more bombs in the ground. To describe this place in one word - Hell. I don't know what else to say.

My Dearest Mary, if I do not make it back here alive, please turn to my brother. He is a good man. You will never be forgotten. I will try to write next month.

All my love,

John Green."

Lucy sighed quietly. "How romantic." She breathed dreamily.

Bobby looked to her with one eyebrow cocked. "Romantic? The guy is afraid of having his head blown off and you sigh, 'How romantic.'" He repeated, in the same fashion as her.

Tara smiled. "I'm just wondering if this whole thing has to do with his brother."

Bobby shrugged. "It's worth a shot."

"Do you want to go home?"

Sue looked to Jack with surprise. "I am home, Jack."

He gave a small smile. "No I meant.. home." He, emphazing the final word.

"No. I mean yes but.. I don't want to see him.. like that."

Jack nodded, pulling her back into his arms as a tear rolled down her cheek. There, sitting on the couch with the love of his life safely tucked by his body, he felt the true fragility of life - the innocence.

"Jack.." Sue began, knowing that if he responded, she wouldn't be able to see him. "Thank you for coming."

He gave a lopsided smile, gently pushing her back so she could read him. "I thought something might have been wrong."

After a quick chuckle, she rested her head against his shoulder, her hand tenderly running along his arm. She couldn't have imagined the shocks that were coursing through his body at her every touch. "I guess it's like.. brother's intuition." She felt his heart slam to a sudden slow.

Those words hurt more than any other's could. Is that the way Sue felt? Did she think of him as a brother? Was that why it felt so odd when they pulled away from their first and last kiss? Every thought that could have possible been passed through his mind in the maximum of 10 seconds.

"Are you alright, Jack?" Sue asked, snatching him from his disturbing thoughts.

Her eyes were wide, tears glistening in them. He nodded slowly. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said, forcing a smile - though she immediately felt the change. "When did your Mother call you? About.." He stopped.

"About 30 minutes before you came. I was going to go to work but.."

"It's slow.. no new cases. We're fine."

--

"Bobby, check this letter out." Dimitrius said, handing the Australian a letter he had been reading. The conference room had become a labratory of sorts, trying to find clues and any possible details to figure out what the letters contained.

Bobby took the letter from his friend that sat beside him. He read over it carefully. "That's odd."

"What is it?" Lucy asked, looking up from her own letters, tears in her eyes.

"You okay, Luce?" Bobby asked in concern.

She nodded, quickly running a hand under her eyes to erase the tears. "Yeah, this letter is just kinda sad."

"Aww.. so not quite as romantic anymore, huh?" Bobb asked with a smile and a wink, though his smile was quickly erased by a yelp of pain as Lucy's shoe hit his leg. "It was just a joke!"

"What does your letter say, Dimitrius?" Tara asked as she leaned into the box, pulling out a new letter.

"This one," He said, pointing to the letter Bobby now possessed. "was addressed to Gregory Green. I think it's the brother?"

Bobby nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it is. He just said that he wanted him to take his dear wife as his own if his letters cease to come."

Tara and Lucy both gave a sad sound, giving Bobby and Dimtirius a chance to chuckle.

"So, do you think these letters have been sent from the brother, John Green.. Mary?" Lucy asked curiously.

"I have no idea."

"The guy on the phone, did he sound like an old guy?"

Bobby shook his head, rubbing a hand over his chin as if in deep thought. "No, he just sounded like a young kid. Maybe 30 or so."

Tara bit her bottem lip, her eyes closing in concentration. "Could it be another relative?"

"We won't know until we get through these."

A knock on the door took the team from the letters and back to the present. Tom, the FBI mail deliver quickly said, "Sorry but I have a package to a Miss Lucy Dotson."

Jack stood by the front door, eagerly awaiting the exit of Sue's apartment. Not only was it hard for him to see her in such pain, but he needed a chance to get away - to breathe.

He even considered taking Jesse up on her date. The date that Sue and He had supposed to attend for the F.B.I. had been forgotten in all the commotion with the Clue Killer. And now, he wished he had gone of the date with her. Maybe he would have gotten up the nerve to say how much he felt for her.

He quietly scoffed at the idea, knowing that that would never happen. If now, in Sue's most vulnerable of conditions couldn't have said it, when could he?

"You ready to go?" Sue asked, suddenly appearing around the corner.

He nodded, running a hand along his jaw. "Yup."

--

"Tara, we have an envelope!" Lucy said victoriously. This was the first envelope to be found in both of the boxes and Lucy immediately noticed the address.

Tara looked up from her desk and flashed a smile as Lucy came to her side, handing her an old, yellow envelope.

"The first one." Tara said as she jotted down the address.

"This is the last letter ever given to Mary." Lucy sighed, then said, "I wish I knew what was so important."

"We have a hit!" Tara said after she typed in the address.

Bobby looked up from his own letter. "Who or what are we hitting?"

Tara gave a smile, then said, "We have an address for a one Mrs. Mary Green. She is alive and she lives on Dorchester Road."

Immediately, Bobby stood, grabbing his jacket. D and Myles did the same. Bobby walked to Tara's desk, taking the paper from her and giving a simple thank you before walking out, quickly followed by the other male agents.

Lucy watched them go then sat on the edge of Tara's desk, looking to Sue's. "I wonder if everything is okay." She mumbled.

"I'm sure everything's fine." Tara reassured with a smile. "Maybe Jack and Sue are talking."

Lucy chuckled as she stood and walked to her desk, not believing that that would ever happen, yet hoping and praying that it would.
