Okay...there is a rumor, and it has been posted in more than one forum, that the show has been cancelled, that this third season will end production early, with final episode in April. However, please don't go nuts on the board about it just yet...there hasn't been any OFFICIAL statement from the production or distribution companies. Should we get word, there will be an announcement posted on our site. In the meantime, keep your hopes high, encourage each other, say a prayer, and get ready to write letters if need be.

The cast and crew will certainly appreciate all of our support.

I am working on my sources. So far we have no confirmation either way. I can tell you as recently as this week the Writers had nothing on the show being canceled. As anything developes I will let you know.

Please do not panic! Now is not the time for a seatbelt warning! Feel free to get up and move about the cabin.

If and when we need to mobilize, I will also have information for you on who to write. But I should have more by Monday at the latest - most offices are closed for the weekend.

PS I have received several queries asking if the board is still going to operate should the worst case scenario occur and the show is canceled at the end of the season. The answer is yes. So long as you want it here, it shall exist. The board is now more than just me, its a community of all of you. Friends we have met and made over the last few months and through a great show. That won't disapper. Many still aspire to write. We shall be here well into the future as a writers support group to develop and learn from each other, where you write Sue Thomas, other shows or original work. Lets hope, however, we can have a bit more STFBEYE....

UPDATE - This may not be as bad as we feared.... Just spoke seperately to both PAX and Pebblehut. Both are NOW saying that the show is NOT canceled at this time. That things are still in the works and not to panic (translation - there is no done deal).

My experience with the television business is that these things come and go. That rumors and threats of cancellation are, unfortunately standard operating procedure. Which makes the job that they do for us even more special! That many times shows don't know until the day of that they are canceled and there are many behind the scenes politics involved.

My suggestion is to keep airing your support. We need to make sure they know we enjoy the show! So that if and when we need to send these comments to anyone, we can. The writers are aware of our support thread. I have offered to let them utilize it to make their case if needed and as they see fit.
