"This man has been here for me for as long as I have known him, he is an amazing friend and was like the brother I never had ... the whole team were my family.... I'd always though he was good looking I mean what girl wouldnt but never thought anyone would think I was worth it let alone a guy as good looking and wonderful as him and .....

Hmm, puter ate my post. Anyway, I finally caught up and loved all the fun with the girls time together and playing truth or dare was great. Loved the wedding and toasts. Was happy to see you had Tara in character not being traditional and giving her own speech.

Everyone was so happy eating away and as they paused for a moment in the queue for a drink Lucy thanked Rae.

Lucy snorted in a most unladylike manner at that

"well lets just say your not the only one who like someone ... he hasnt stopped staring at you all day ....he wanted to sit with you... he used Troy as an excuse " Lucy giggled as she poured there drinks and they headed to sit down.
Soon the food was eaten and it was time for Dancing... a band or such would have caused them to be cramped so they had rigged up a sound system and a playlist of all there favourite songs for them and there friends to dance to.
Burt first there was the small matter of there first Dance as man and wife theyhad taken some time in Deciding this but had come to a decision that had been Bobbys choice of song and had Tara in tears of happiness as he explained why.
They stepped on to the Dancefloor ... well really it was a table and chair free space but it was taking on that role for now.
The music started and Bobby pulled Tara into his arms Dancing with her holding her as the music played and the words played there part.
Rae was sat at the edge with Myles Sue Lucy Jack and Troy and was translating for Sue and Troy.
Myles sat and watched her he hands moving gracefully her smile beautiful and turned to look at the happy couple on the dancefloor he really wanted there recipe for happiness and maybe Rae was the woman to help him make it... who knew .
The Music washed over Bobby and Tara as they danced and there were tears in Bobbys eyes as he held the woman eho meant everything to him and was as the song said was always on his mind.... for it was that which they were dancing to....
Elvis was a favourite of his and the song said so much about how he felt that he'd begged her to have it as there first dance and explained why he thought they should.

D reappeared just as songs were changing and beamed at his team... ok he was supervisor now rather than on the team but still they were and always would be his team.
"Guys Sorry to butt in but I have an announcement that will please you all greatly ..." he paused hoping to gain there interest
"Yes D speak!" Myles said encouragingly.
"I would if you waited" D shook his head teasingly "That was the AD that just called me and well the non fraternisation rule has been lifted... he apparently realised that seperating teams wasnt useful and dseveral other people had talked to him since The mannings here and so its been dropped"
Cheers were heard from around the room and then the music started again and the party got underway.

"will I get my old Job back... will Rae be retransferred what"
"you have officially gained promotion then dated so it doesnt change a thing unless you want it too?" he explained

They both laughed as despite her having the role for two months and the meetings being fortnightly they had never both been at the same one yet. The first had been on her first day in the job and she had been excused to team build the second D had had a medical appointmrent And so on.
Bobby came over and pulled his wife back into his arms.
"come on darlin lets dance...and you D go dance with Donna"he ordedred holding her close to him and kissing her gently on the lips
They headed out to the dance floor where all the couples were dancing happily Tanya and Davey watched and Talked but Myles ended his conversation with Stan abigail and Rae and headed outside for some fresh air to clear his head.
He needed to think and think hard he had now lost his excuse for not speaking to Raein a non work way, there were no rules he knew how his heart felt he knew he didnt care what his family felt.... but could he risk his heart was it going to work , was she worth it and did she like him back or would he risk it all then have nothing.

"Ms Douglas" he said offering her his hand "would you do me the hounour of dancing with me" he smiled more nervous than Rae had ever seen him.
"of course Mr Leleand I would be honoured" she smiled teasingly as he oulled her gently onto the dancefloor and they danced in each others arms.
"you look absolutely stunning by the way... Rae" he said quietly to her
"Thanks.... you look very good in a tux... and I know it means alot to Tara that you sorted this for her"
"They're good friends and they're good together and thats going to fade in comparison to what you organised"
" I dont know Myles... and they are ,they were already together when I knew them but well lets say I heard stories and it explained alot.... I also heard stories about you" she said whispering the last bit into his ear
"I doubt they were all good in fact Im convinced they wern't " Myles sighed
"actually they were good ... Lucy's forgiven you Myles your all Friends now..." she smiled hesitantly then decided to go for it she whispered into his ear
"she even said you'd make me a good boyfriend and she also said you were an excellent kisser... are you?"
Myles ever eloquent lost the power of speech at that point andinstead puled her by her hand out of the marquee and towards the bench behind he and Rae laughing.
However the bench wasnt vacant it was occupied by a very smily and teary Sue and Jack who blushed vigourously as the others approached.
"oh um sorry I didnt realise anyone was out here "Myles said not letting go of Rae's hand much to Sue's amusement
"Its ok Myles we were just going..."Sue answered tucking a chain into the neckline of her dress something glinting at its end
Rae looked raised her eyebrows then rapidly signed something
"is that what I think it is" Myles gasped
"yes to both of you but can you keep quiet..... we dont want to take away from Bobby and Tara's day...." Sue said quietly
"Eveyone will know by monday we're telling Bobby and Tara tonight and Lucy aswell... you two were going to get phonecalls tomorrow" Jack said
"We'll keep quiet dont worry and Congratulations..... I'd better make sure you catch the flowers then right" Rae teased

and so well we um cancelled all bar tonight at the Hotel and used that Money and we all ... everyone here chipped in and you now have flights to Glasgow Airport and a hire car when you get there to Take you to a small cottage on the Side of a Loch ... thats a Lake by the way .. called Loch Tay... its in really amazing scenery lots to see and Do and you have the cottage for two weeks.... D signed off your time off and spoke to the AD about getting Tara's sorted....."

"it is yes... but your lovely best man and bridesmaids here have packed for you..... your bags are in Jacks Car... and here" Rae handed them a large envelope "are your passports-in the Manning name Tara....your tickets the rental car confirmation directions to the house etc you have a taxi taking you to the airport at 10 am tomorrow your flight leaves at 1pm flight is around 7 hours you have a two hour drive if you dont get lost .. you'll be there in the early hours cos there five hours ahead of us... but the place will be open...food there etc..."
"wow thanks... we will see you in a fortnight then..." Tara smiled hugged her friends then She and Bobby headed for the car with Jack and Sue and the others all headed for there transport.
"Wait Rae...." Myles called. "um I know you have a lift with Troy and Luce but um can we er talk if you wait round I'll drop you home later"
"That fine Myles... we never did get to er Talk earlier did we"
As the Car rolled towards the Hotel it was fairly quiet as Jack was driving and Sue couldnt read him clearly but as they hit a light Jack spoke
"um guy's by the way we have a little news for you that well everyone will be pleased when they hear....., um after D told us the rule wasnt there anymore Sue and I talked and I asked her to be my wife and she accepted... Myles and Rae know cos they appeared just after... but we havent told the others yet.. we wanted you two to know"
"ok wow congratulations guy's and it looks like we'll be busy when we get back with two weddings to plan ...." Tara smiled as the car drew to a stop

and so well we um cancelled all bar tonight at the Hotel and used that Money and we all ... everyone here chipped in and you now have flights to Glasgow Airport and a hire car when you get there to Take you to a small cottage on the Side of a Loch ... thats a Lake by the way .. called Loch Tay... its in really amazing scenery lots to see and Do and you have the cottage for two weeks.... D signed off your time off and spoke to the AD about getting Tara's sorted....."

"it means wow we're going to scotland we're following her dream and she cant believe you lot have done this for us.." Bobby translated kissing her hair.
"It was all Rae's idea she got it organised with Lucy's help " Myles smiled at them
"Thanks ... it means the world to me "Tara smiled "but um do we need to pack or what week in a hotel is a bit different to a fortnight in a cottage in Scotland"
"it is yes... but your lovely best man and bridesmaids here have packed for you..... your bags are in Jacks Car... and here" Rae handed them a large envelope "are your passports-in the Manning name Tara....your tickets the rental car confirmation directions to the house etc you have a taxi taking you to the airport at 10 am tomorrow your flight leaves at 1pm flight is around 7 hours you have a two hour drive if you dont get lost .. you'll be there in the early hours cos there five hours ahead of us... but the place will be open...food there etc..."
"wow thanks... we will see you in a fortnight then..." Tara smiled hugged her friends then She and Bobby headed for the car with Jack and Sue and the others all headed for there transport.
"Wait Rae...." Myles called. "um I know you have a lift with Troy and Luce but um can we er talk if you wait round I'll drop you home later"
"That fine Myles... we never did get to er Talk earlier did we"
As the Car rolled towards the Hotel it was fairly quiet as Jack was driving and Sue couldnt read him clearly but as they hit a light Jack spoke
"um guy's by the way we have a little news for you that well everyone will be pleased when they hear....., um after D told us the rule wasnt there anymore Sue and I talked and I asked her to be my wife and she accepted... Myles and Rae know cos they appeared just after... but we havent told the others yet.. we wanted you two to know"
"ok wow congratulations guy's and it looks like we'll be busy when we get back with two weddings to plan ...." Tara smiled as the car drew to a stop

Sorry I took so long in getting back to your story. Been incredibly busy this summer and just drove back home to TX from KS on Wed and Thur. My car broke down halfway; so, I had to lay over a day at my nephew's home and take it to the shop for repairs. At least I had a free place to stay and visit with my nephew's sweet children, 6, 9 and 10. Anyway, made it home and finished reading your story, writing my comments as I read. My 13 year old granddaughter came to spend the night with me last night. I got her hooked on ST a few months back; but, did she want to watch any episodes? No! She wanted to watch The Sound of Music! Well, it is a wonderful movie! Now that she has left I can post my comments. They are rather long, so I'm posting them in 3 or 4 posts.
Now, Bobby can’t have dinner with Tara b/c he’s going to a GA meeting, right? Oh, I love that Tara found his recipe! Looking forward to the ‘talk’! Hugs are the best….almost!
Wonderful conversations between Bobby and Tara. I’m so glad Tara found the recipe and she called Bobby and he came over and she showed him her recipe and they agreed to discuss and are getting all this out in the open. Nothing like communication…sealed with a searing kiss
Now, talking to Garrett immediately showed Tara that Bobby was serious. Taking the decision to the team and them picking Bobby to stay…good idea! I know they will miss Tara and her expertise though; but, they will be happy for her promotion. Oh, the curse of working apart and long hours…never getting to see each other. Wow! Bobby giving Tara his credit card! Now that is a man after my own heart!
The ruby pendant is a beautiful gift. Oh, and a matching engagement ring! How beautiful! Now, they were like little kids…couldn’t wait to tell the girls and Jack! So Lucy and Troy are dating. I didn’t see that coming. Who is going to pair up with Myles?
Uh Oh! Tara’s replacement is female? Maybe she and Myles will connect? Oh my goodness…Myles must have been bowled over by Rachel…forgetting to add the III to his name!

Myles having them all over for a bar-b-que? Wow, he really is smitten if he wants to show off for Rae! Nice of Tara to invite Rae to the girl’s Hen party. That Lucy…she can get anyone to fess up! It looks like Rae’s affections for Myles are returned, according to Lucy anyway. So glad Rae is fitting in very well. Oh, poor Tanya. That is such an embarrassing time for a young girl. Now, why is Donna so fatigued I wonder? Loved hearing about the girls’ first kiss. And David was Sue’s first kiss? But, Jack was her best kiss!

Oh, Tara declines to move back to the team! Well, not only would it have been less money, but also she would no longer be a supervisor. However, since it would have been a voluntary move, it would not have been considered a demotion. And however much she would love to go back to being on the team, there would have to be a lot of satisfaction and self worth building in heading up this team of her own. I’m glad she decided to stay. And, as supervisor, directing the others on her team, she assigns who works what requests for assistance from all the teams, right? So she could assign herself to work the requests from Jack’s team! Sorry, as a working gal for the past 35 years, and passed over for promotion a couple of times, (both politically related) this subject is near and dear to my heart! (We need a smiley standing on a soapbox!)
