This site is for writers and readers, anyone who loves a great story. RomanceFanfiction.net was originally created around the show Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, and continues to revolve around our love for the show and its characters, but has expanded to include many other favorite shows as well as original works of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Developed to be a safe, nurturing environment for budding authors to develop and hone their craft, it has grown into a warm, friendly community that has fostered some amazing friendships, and yet retains a family atmosphere in spite of the growing membership numbers. We salute and thank our readers, knowing that without them there would be no reason for us to share our stories.

CODE OF CONDUCT This site is run with the recognition that we have members of all ages, from all around the world and from different personal backgrounds and experiences. We each view the world from a different perspective, but we come together here for a common purpose: to enjoy the stories and the positive environment of our online community. For that reason, we ask that all members demonstrate the highest level of respect and decency towards the site, the Admin/Mod Team members and each other, whether it be in posting, messages, personal profiles and statements, authorship or feedback.

Should an issue of concern arise, it is the policy of this site to address it privately, with grace and dignity, and allow those involved to respond in like manner. While we understand that errors in judgment and differences of opinion may occur, we will not tolerate continual abuse or disrespect for our guidelines, our Administrators or Moderators, or our membership. Should it be necessary, we will exercise our right to moderate, suspend or terminate membership if circumstances deem it to be appropriate.

WHY FANFICTION? Writing is a life of creation, exploration, evaluation and re-invention. It is polishing and revising, reviewing and editing. It is also hard work! Fanfiction is the perfect platform for the writer, regardless of how much experience he or she may already have. Premise, characters, and background are all laid for the writer to simply weave into new plots and enjoy. Perhaps one day budding authors will write their own characters; perhaps one day they will publish. . . until then, with fanfiction, they can practice and entertain under the good graces of the owners of the copyrights of the shows so many have come to enjoy.

However, the site is moderated and the Admin and Moderators reserve the right to remove any post or topic at any time that is viewed inappropriate, breaks disclaimer or ratings rules, or not in the spirit of what the board was intended. This board is a luxury, not a right.
