Hi Everyone,

Yes, it is the 100% truth that STFBE is being cancelled with Pax, but there's a glimmer of hope!!! It is PAX that only gave enough funds for 13 episodes as I'm sure most of you know that PAX is in trouble with $$$$ and whatsoever, so therefore, Pax cancelled to support STFBE.

So the Johnson brothers (the Creators of DOC and STFBE) are looking for a new home (network) to get more funds to resume filming STFBE, as far as I know a few networks seem interested in supporting STFBE, but nothing has been done as of yet, so please pray for Johnson brothers to be successful in getting a new home (network) for STFBE.

STFBE will continue 'til somewhere in mid or end of Jan. That's it, until the Johnson
brothers are able to secure another network, if not, then it is forever cancelled. But there's a possibility of making a movie of STFBE that would be put on dvd or something.

PRAY FOR THE JOHNSON BROTHERS!!! WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT!!! angel.gif Too many reality show and violence on tv, we need more family shows like STFBE!!! bounching.gif bounching.gif

Thank you Dolphin for being very resourceful. Please post your support for this great show! Let's let the cast, writers and producers know where we stand!!!! And hopefully show a new network what terrific group there is behind it.

I am not sure if they will read these or not here, but they are aware we are behind them, so I ask you to be specific with your comments, in case I am able to forward them.

I have been a long time admirer of the Johnson Brothers and their work (my dream job is to be a TV writer!) Anyhow, I would love to see Sue Thomas FBEye continue. It is terrific to watch, and I know, given more time, will be even better. I personally hope a Network, reading this, can see how incredible the fanbase is, a fanbase it has earned through entertaining us each week. And know this wonderful family show, with its cast, production and writers who bring so much fun, action, romance and vitality to the screen, would be a jewel for any network. Please pick it up and let it continue!!!

regards, Gershwin.

PS I have received several queries asking if the board is still going to operate should the worst case scenario occur and the show is canceled at the end of the season. The answer is yes. So long as you want it here, it shall exist. The board is now more than just me, its a community of all of you. Friends we have met and made over the last few months and through a great show. That won't disapper. Many still aspire to write. We shall be here well into the future as a writers support group to develop and learn from each other, where you write Sue Thomas, other shows or original work. Lets hope, however, we can have a bit more STFBEYE....

unsure.gif crying.gif Oh my goodness!! PAX is funding all of these other sorta strange shows and they're going to drop STFBE???!!!! Is that not strange to anyone else?? I hope that the Johnson brothers can find another network for it.

Hey, we get Hallmark here in the US. Hallmark runs it in the UK, do you think they may want to fund it here? Just a thought.

I say we get rid of Cold Turkey, Balderdash, On the Cover, Model Citizens, World Cup Comedy, America's Most Talented Kids, and Second Verdict. Then we can keep Sue Thomas. Hey, and they may even have some funding left over. I thought that running all of those new shows in one season would end up being disasterous. Oh dear, no offense to any of those shows, but STFBE is just much better.
justme_jp3
I certainly wish to voice my support for the producers, the writers and the cast of Sue Thomas F.B.Eye. An avid fan since the first season, I have found this to be one of the most enjoyable shows on television today. And the strength of their fan-base around the world shows that the language, sex and gratuitous violence so prevalent in many other dramas are simply unnecessary and unwanted. The writers have addressed many of the hard-hitting issues the FBI faces today, from white-collar crime to international terrorism, and the actors have formed a superb team that deliver believable performances week after week. At the same time, we see bridges being built between the hearing and deaf communities, a fulfillment of Ms. Thomas’ dream. And, I’m sure we all would love to see that continue.

I pray the Johnson brothers will be able to secure a new network/home for STFBE and that we will not lose this quality family show.
TinaLynne
I think it would be very sad to see a show as unique and fresh as this one disappear in its prime. I hope that it is picked up by another network so that we may continue to enjoy it for at least a couple more seasons. The cast is such a talented group of people, and it would be such a great waste of potential to have the show go off the air now.

I started watching STFBE nearly one year ago, and I've been hooked ever since--it is a show that I find both inspirational and entertaining. The cast, crew and writers continue to do a wonderful job--this show deserves to stay on the air, and I pray that the Johnson brothers will find a way to make that happen!!
Jacynthe
I know I've sharpened my pencils and gotten all my nice writing paper to send a few letters to those mainstream networks should they take too long to come forward. I'm not above a few well-placed editorials either, if that will help my favorite show to stay on the air, where it belongs.

I know we often praise the writers and the cast for this awesome show, but I'd like to take a moment as well to praise the crew who make STFBE possible and who bring all the characters into our homes, week after week. Your work is appreciated just as much as the work of those we see in front of the screen.

Don't give up, cause we're not giving up on you and what this show brings to all of us.
webgoof
WHA??? HOW??

ok...no venting...

i must say that STFBE has without a doubt been the absolute 900% Best show I have EVER watched with doc being the only one even close.

I will pray for the Johnson Bros...There has to be a network that will be willing to pick up a show with a ready-made fanbase.

It would be a HUGE pity to break up a wonderful acting group like we have here, Yannick, Deanne, Troy, Ted, Eunoka, Tara, Marc, the whole cast....there is noone o could imagine filling any of those parts. To break them up would be just plain terrible.

I tell you one thing...If it Does get cancled 4ever (BANISH the thought!!!) we might survive on fanfics for a while.

And a movie??

That would be REALLY nice, cancellation or not.
Stringbean
What! They can't do this! OK..so maybe they can, but like someone else said, why doesn't PAX get rid of all those other shows that nobody watches like Balderdash and On the Cover. STFBeye is soo much better. Everybody got to pray HARD that they don't cancel. Or else resume on another channel I actually get since I have no cable. crying.gif

LeCherie
OH NO!!!!

Truly, STFBEye is head and shoulders better than rest of the PAX shows and only Doc is equal to it in quality of entertainment. This is a show I can sit and enjoy with my grandkids without having to be ready to cover their ears or eyes.

IF PAX should be so foolish as to lose it, however, the Warner Bros. network also offers some fine family viewing and I would encourage the Johnson Bros. to contact it.
JoM
It really is sad... However, I'm pretty sure that someone has already mentioned that we could write to various stations to beg that they continue to fund the show. I would suggest CTV (www.ctv.ca) since the show's being produced in association with it (at least I'm pretty sure). This may not be that comforting to US and UK viewers, but CTV could just be persuaded to continue with this, since it's made in Canada, and therefore, "Canadian content", which all media in Canada must include in their broadcasts (the last time I checked, at least).

Also, on the CTV Sue Thomas forum, someone has a link to a petition to PAX not to cut STFBEye if they can help it...it may be worth it to sign that too. Someone else on the CTV forum said something about writing to the president of Sony

I hope everything I just said made some sort of sense. But if not, I guess the bottom line is:

Start writing those letters to those stations people! And pray very, very hard

I visited the www.ctv.ca site and found an online petition at: http://www.petitiononline.com/2582580/petition.html

Personally, I think it's worth the minute or so it took to add my name to the petition.
LizzyM87
OK, since this is the place to comment, I'll do it here.

I truly wish it hadn't come to this. Sue Thomas: FBEye is the best show I have ever seen!! No other program comes close. It has all the elements a great show should have: action, hints of romance, strong character plots, development, gripping stories. And, to top it all off, you don't have to be over thirteen for it to be "appropriate". While it may be over young kids heads, the truth of the matter is that it is decent and it values morals and standards. Content wise, it is still appropriate for youth. However, it's not preachy or overdone.

Also, it's given many people a chance to have a glimpse of the deaf community, and an amazing woman's story. We've had an opportunity to "meet" Sue Thomas, in a way, and her spirit and legacy come through. I am very saddened by the news that this show is being cancelled. Now with DOC going off the air as well, there really isn't anything that my whole family can watch, or would want to watch.

One thing I do not understand is why PAX is funding all of these new shows, and letting go of the favorite ones. Not even three full seasons definitely is not enough for Sue Thomas: FBEye. If it had to do with actors' plights and their desires, I'd be more understanding. But, now that a lot of new shows are being funded while this one is being dropped, I am not very happy. Many of these shows do not catch my interest. In my opinion, Cold Turkey is just one of many "reality shows". And, while America's Most Talented Kids showcases amazing talent, it has not built up the fan scale that STFBE has, and it's really the same thing every week. Sue Thomas has variety. As for the other shows, I haven't even bothered to watch them. It just seems that PAX is sacrificing the favorites to fund shows that are not even getting as good a response as ST and DOC did. I understand why DOC is ending, but it seems unfair to strike funding from one of the very few decent and entertaining shows out there. It's depriving people of the chance to experience quality entertainment.

Just from coming to these fan sites, I have had a chance to meet people from all over the world, all because of one show that touched our lives and hearts. We have connected through a medium that honors a strong and admirable woman, and provides a wonderful hour of entertainment.

If someone that really can do something about this reads it, please take it to heart. What more can we do besides rally behind and support the show that has changed so many people's lives??
Doglover
I am in a big shock that this show is being cancelled. It is the best show ever that pax is has shown plus doc too. It is the cleanest show. you don't have to worry about language and violance. Kids can watch it. It is a good family show. Why is Pax cancelling it. I don't understand.

Sue Thomas Fbeye has only had 3 seasons, well sorta. And I think it is a shame to end it already. I think the actors are doing a wonderful job and so does the writers. So I am asking if anyone on pax is reading this please don't end this show, cause there are so many fans out there that love it and look forward to watching it every sunday night, I know I do.

I agree with everyone else, the other shows that Pax shows not too many people watch those like they do Sue Thomas and Doc. I understand why Doc is ending but Sue Thomas? I mean come on. I am not happy right now cause my favorite show is going off the air. So I am asking you, Leave Sue Thomas on the air. It has touched so many hearts. Deaf people and hearing people. It is a wonderful Show, so I am asking you not to cancel it. Keep Sue Thomas alive!!!!

I want the cast and the producers and the writers to know that they have my support and always will. cannot believe Pax is doing this.

I went to CTV and signed that petition. So anyone on this site who has not, please go sign it and keep Sue Thomas on Pax. I don't know what I will do without Sue Thomas.

I am praying for this show and the Johnson Brothers. Please Keep Sue Thomas on Pax.
playgirl
As I've read the other posts on this subject, I have to agree with most of them.

Before STFBE existed, I was living through live as normal as any teenaged girl goes through. It was then until STFBE came out, I was appaled by it. I've never seen a show with a deaf person as a main character. It makes me want to become more deaf-culturally involved. It influenced me more to become an interpreter for the deaf, and I am planning to be one.

STFBE is different than any other tv shows in the world. I don't know how to explain it but the special characters, unique plots, story-line, the deaf world, and lots and lots of more reasons seems to catch my attention to the show and that makes it interesting to watch. There has not been any other tv show that I am involved in as much than STFBE. For me and my friends at school, friends on this site, and family etc., we aren't interested in the reality shows that are shown. To me, reality shows that show the tortue and hatred towards other people, the popularity and the money games just seem "too much." There are WAY too many reality shows and why have them shown if people aren't intrested in watching them? Having a family-based show makes me feel comfortable with what I watch. I always look forward to watch STFBE every week because it is special and has everything: action, romance popping in and out which makes us go insane, comedy, the FBI life, I mean everything!

Finding STFBE sites like this is a blessing. I love it and people on here have the same interest... STFBE. If it is not to be shown anymore, I can't imagine the 600+ people on this board and other people on other boards and people who are not on these sites and/or will never find the sites and love the show will feel. Lets hope that STFBE will still continue being aired and hope it could find another station or whatever it can and not ever being cancelled.

The spirit of STFBE will forever be in our hearts.
CMcCarrell
I wrote to CTV to see what they know about this. I'm hoping for the best.

Praying for the best.

I am utterly shocked. I am a tremendous fan of the show and watch it without fail. There isn't another TV show I care about enough to catch every single week. The characters and plot are so uplifting. It is so nice to watch a show where the characters actually have character and promote positive values. I refuse to watch reality shows (who wants to be bogged down and depressed by reality?), so I think the money spent on those shows, even though they definitely have smaller budgets than scripted shows, would be much better spent on the fabulous show STFBEye. PLEASE don't cancel it! I agree that Hallmark would be an excellent choice to continue producing the series.

Hello all...
It is a sad day in the name of all things STFBE. crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif For we are all in mourning this Monday morning (Hey, that kinda rhymed!) shakes head.gif I would personally like to give thanks this fine november to all the people who were involved in this life changing project. It really changed my life. No lie. I wrote a story about my feelings about this and more that I will post later today in the Nonfiction section.
And to the cast, crew, and producers I give my shoulder to cry on. I love you all and you have played a major part in my life over the past two years.
And for all the people on this site, I love you all also and the legacy of STFBE will live on in our hearts forever...
It's a sad day for all things good...

Oh my goodness, another perfectly wonderful family show being cancelled with probably more trashy shows to come on.

This cannot be happening....this show is one of my favorites. There has to be another network that will pick this show up. Maybe the ABC family channel or something. Heck even Lifetime would be a good one since they try to keep their shows around the family scene......most of them anyway.

I hope another network picks this show up but in the meantime lets just pray that someone does have a heart and takes STFBEYE on.

What?! When I first came here today and saw this, I'm pretty sure my heart stopped for a while. Then came the cold shivers. Then finally the tears. And that's completely true.

My family thinks I've lost my mind, because of crying for some tv show. But they don't understand, they have never even watched it. All of my favourite shows have been cancelled because of money issues, and I really hoped it wouldn't be Sue's destiny as well.

STFBEye has given so much into my life. Before watching the show I knew pretty much nothing about deafness. Now I'm starting to understand how much different world it really is. And it has given me a new ambition: I want to be a sign language interpreter some day. The show really has changed my ideas about different kind of people.

It also has given me a change to get to know with these amazing people in this site. After a miserable day there is no better things to do than come here and read what you guys are thinking. And it really is the highlight of the week when the Bullpen team visits my livingroom.

I have never said a prayer because of a tv show, but now I'm going to do it. I'm not ready to let STFBEye get out of my life.
Stringbean
Maybe if all 500 or so members here signed the petiton that LaCherie wrote down, they would do something about it being canceled! -Steph

i'm in total shock right now ohmy.gif why would you even want to take off a show like this? when the pilot first came out, my family watched it together. and ever since then, we've watched it every week together. it may sound ironic, but it seems like my family has grown closer. i can't even imagine how it will be without it. it's great to learn about deaf culture to. my sister started taking asl classes after watching the show for a while and now she's at the top of her class cuz she learns things from hte show to. i pray with all my heart that this show will be continued in some way whether on pax or another channel.
ickleails
I CAN'T believe it- they are going ahead and cancelling it!!!! When i logged on tonight and saw the word cancellation- my heart literally stopped. shakes head.gif I think i am still in shock- i am sitting here shaking the old head! shakes head.gif
I am Scottish so we get it on hallmark. I cant help being worried that even if another network grabs it (like they all should) it wont be shown in the uk. However i am PRAYING that the funding for the contiunation of such an amazing show will be found and in good time. this is so claity!!!
If it is Gods will then the right people will be found! Lets keep on praying and trusting in God.

Maybe if all 500 or so members here signed the petiton that LaCherie wrote down, they would do something about it being canceled! -Steph

how many people need to sign the petition?
Smiler
I think we all have to stay positive people. Yes my heart fell through the floor when i first saw confirmation of STFBE's possible cancellation but it's not over yet. We need to show the networks, producers, writers, cast and crew that we are all behind this show 110% and that we still want it on the air. We need to make sure we sign every petition, write to whomever we can and watch every episode. We fans in the UK will need to rely on our good friends in the US and Canada to watch the eps - i'm sure you will do us proud.

I have been addicted to a few good tv shows but none more so than STFBE. It is a great family show with a fabulous blend of exciting drama, romance, humour and education. It is in a different league to many of the trashy, cheap programmes on the tv today. After a hard day at work i love nothing better than to come home and relax with a good episode of the show and since starting to watch it in season one on Hallmark UK i haven't missed an ep. I will sorely miss it if it gets cancelled.

Through my love of the show i have ventured into new territory by joining this board and it is through our common love of the show that i have "met" some amazing and lovely people. I value their friendship and support and i thank the show for opening up this whole new world to me.

The show inspired me to begin writing fiction for the first time ever. I may have started with some STFBE fanfics but i have no doubt that this will develop into other areas and continue.

It would be a sad sad day in my household if this show was cancelled but i sincerely hope it will not come to that and that another network picks it up. Hallmark may be a good option as if it is anything like Hallmark UK STFBE should fit in nicely with many of their other programmes.

As i have already said i will lend my support to the campaign to keep it on air, so please if anyone has any ideas how we can do this let me know.
(Maybe we should give the campaign a name? How does SAVE SUE! sound? wink.gif )

Yours hopefully,

Lynne

UPDATE - This may not be as bad as we feared.... Just spoke seperately to both PAX and Pebblehut. Both are NOW saying that the show is NOT canceled at this time. That things are still in the works and not to panic (translation - there is no done deal).

My experience with the television business is that these things come and go. That rumors and threats of cancellation are, unfortunately standard operating procedure. Which makes the job that they do for us even more special!

Thank you for your support as well. And hang in there! This is definitely going to be an ongoing question, so fasten your seatbelts, say a few prayers, and keep your chins up!

regards, Gershwin

Hi everyone,

That's why I said, there's a glimmer of hope that STFBE might be picked up by another network, that's why I said, the Johnson brothers are in touch with few networks, so keep praying for them to be successful, the more prayers and support, God works His mysterious ways, if we believe in Him and trust in Him that STFBE will be picked up and resume filming by a new network.

Don't give up hope just yet, for now, it's just cancelled by Pax, they only gave enough funds for 13 episodes then if Johnson brothers are successful, then yay.. if not.. there's a reason, we may never understand, but have no fear and just have faith in Johnson brothers to find funds to continue STFBE.

STFBE really has a very high ratings, I mean, very good ratings, it is just that Pax just doesn't have the money to support STFBE at this time. For now, STFBE will continue 'til somewhere in mid or end of Jan.

So keep praying for Johnson brothers with all your heart, mind and soul! We still need STFBE, it's the best family oriented show where everyone can sit down and watch in comfort without having to close or cover their children's eyes and ears.

Take care,
Kelly (Dolphin)

UPDATE: Can I just say how wonderful the outpouring has been already? Thankfully the Writers are aware of the site and your support, and have emailed me.

They are asking at this time that we not write anyone regarding the future of the show as discussions are under way. However, to please continue to spread the word about the show and keep the faith!

I dont even know where to begin guys, when I first read the rumor about STFBEye being cancelled I think my heart actually stopped beating for a minute. Sue Thomas is so much more than just another television show. Seeing the struggles that Sue goes through and the obstacles she has overcome enspires me so much. Everytime I watch the show I get this feeling that Im not doing my part in the world, that I can do so much more and thats a great feeling. I could go on for hours about all that I have learned from the show but unfortunately I dont have the time, just know that STFBE has touched my life and im sure the lives of many others and it will be dearly missed if it is cancelled. I intend to sign every petition and write as many letters as it takes to support the STFBEye family. Thank you all for warming our hearts and making us realize our own potential each week.
nikki4612
I would be saddened to hear that the show is cancelled. I do understand the economics of the world we live in. Hiring writers and all the associated costs of producing a quality show lead to a lower profit margin. Showing people eating bugs or losing weight, or giving up smoking is the least expensive way to fill air time. No writers, no actors, and very little originality. As long as people are willing to watch these shows, quality television will continue to diminish. Sadly it's all about advertising dollars and ad money is drying up.

Let's hope that there are enough advertisers who see the value of watching clever original programming rather than humiliation voyeurism.
duckfan
Well it has been a lousy couple of weeks here in our household then it was my birthday and I read that Sue Thomas might be cancelled! Now that I am done wallowing in self-pity let's get down to business. I have done some advocacy work in the past so here are some tips to remember. Please don't be offended, I am not trying to be "know-it-all".

1. Please remember to attack the issue not the individual. The issue is the cancelling of a TV show we love. Complaining about other shows or PAX people will not get us anywhere.

2. When you write to tell people the reasons this show should stay on the air "Because Jack is so cute" is not one of them. Yes he is but that will not save the show. (I would put a smiley face here but am not that computer literate!)

3. This show has provided many topics for family conversation. Why does she talk with her hands? Who are the bad guys? Why does that man look so scary (Joel) yet he is the good guy! The point here being that TV is wonderful tool to show us things we may never experience otherwise.

4. The show allows our children a safe environment to question the world around us. My 7 year old reminded me last week that some bad people had flown airplanes into to the twin towers and did I know that? It happened on his first day of pre-school. A day I will always remember for all the wrong reasons. The show provides us as parents opportunities to talk to our children about these happenings. It also gives us an in to talk about guns and drugs. Children don't need the reality of the nightly news they need the security to ask questions from fictional shows.

5. I think the big picture here is what is really on TV that you want your family to watch. If you live in the Mountain or Central Times zones (roughly the Rockies to Illinois) Sue Thomas is on at 8pm. What else is on at 8pm that you can watch with your family. Americans complain alot about things. This is the opportunity to change something.

6. Before you send your letter or e-mail read it or sign it aloud preferably to someone else. If you are still living at home (under 18) enlist your parents to help you.

I don't have anyone to read this to this morning (my pre-schooler is watching Blue's Clues!) so I am rambling-sorry. Most importantly have passion but not anger! If you need anything else PM me! Good luck, Pam
justme_jp3
Thank you, Pam (duckfan), for your comments! They are well-placed, and definitely not rambling! You made some excellent points!!!

One thing, I would like to add a word caution at this point; we have been asked to not send letters or e-mails yet. Here is how Jen put it in an earlier post:
QUOTE
They are asking at this time that we not write anyone regarding the future of the show as discussions are under way. However, to please continue to spread the word about the show and keep the faith!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with preparing your thoughts and getting them on paper, and use Pam's suggestions - they are very good! But at this point we must respect their request and let them do their jobs. Please don't send those letters yet! If and when they say the word, we can and will respond with a flood of written support. After all, this is a site full of writers!

In the meantime, please continue sharing your thoughts here, spreading the word about the show, saying prayers, and encouraging each other!
duckfan
Thanks for that reminder! I went to the PAX site and now have a migraine for the panic and information overload. I will just stay here and depend on the rest of you to help sort it out. However, please don't let it interfere with your writing! I can make more pie Jen- pumpkin? or maybe some cheesecake? Let me know I did not have any birthday cake so I am up for something. Pam PS Did see
"The Incredibles" with my family and it was great. My kids loved it and so did my hubby and I. Highly recommended!

I can't believe their going to cancell STFBE. i love it. Out of the few shows on television that I watch STFBE is my favorite.

This wonderful show has so much to offer. It's clean and families can watch it are the biggest perks. There is so much garbage on other networks that I hardly watch anything anymore.

PAX is showing these other shows like Cold Turkey and Model Citizens, but isn't funding Sue Thomas. Looks like ther going the same way with all the other networks. Garbage sells and wholesome family entertainment doesn't cut it.

I hope the Johnson Brothers can find another network. Maybe Hallmark? I know someone here already mentioned that. I am fully supportive of this show and this website. I love Sue Thomas F.B.Eye and I hope it isn't gone for good.

SAVE SUE THOMAS F.B.EYE. There are those of us out there that still like to see television programs without bad language and other smut.

Thanks, I hope this helps.

Then keep on praying for Johnson brothers to find a network who is willing to pick up where Pax left off.

They are still working on it. Let's keep on praying for the Johnson brothers and showing our support in wanting the STFBE to continue. That show is very, very EDUCATIONAL and family oriented show where the whole family can sit comfortably and not having to cover their kid's ears and eyes due too many viloence and graphic shows that tv are protraying these days.

I do not want this to be a thing of past and all tv become all reality shows. I still want tv family oriented shows, I know most of you agree with me, like E.R., Touched by an Angel, Promised Land, 7th Heaven etc.. but I want STFBE the MOST, as in 1,000% to continue.

Agreed? biggrin.gif wink.gif

Yes agreed very much! Since now it seems we can even watch Monday Night Football with our children. My little boy is a sports nuts (so is my husband-he teaches it at the university). For those of you not in the US we had a little nudity to promote a show called Desparate Housewives on ABC as the intro to the football game. Very inappropriate!

I say if the problem is paying the writers, no problem, we have the best writers right here and I'm sure they would love to get a start in their TV writing career! biggrin.gif

I don't know what the problem is but usually it does come down to, the plus side of the popularity of the show = more money! However, I don't understand why they would want to risk losing such a popular show. It could just be all talk, negotiations and it will all work out and we will still have our STFBEYE! At least I hope so. When I came back from NY the first thing I saw was STFBEYE possibly being cancelled and I thought I was going have a heart attack! crying.gif

But always the optimist, we will keep praying that God will give us what is best for us and that is good wholesome quality family TV. angel.gif Bad enough we are losing Doc, can't lost STFBEYE too. Oh, does anyone know if Doc reruns will be showing in the Doc spot? Or any other time or channel?
Mr&MrsHudson
Gershwin, Dolphin - have you heard anymore? Do you have any updates you can share for us? Is this true? I keep checking back to see if there has been an new news, but I haven't seen anything. I know you said that the writers would be letting you know when to start the letters coming. What is your take? I'm ready to write if I need to. I can't see where if it really is cancelled, that we shouldn't get on the ball and write to PAX and any other network about airing our favorite show. I have been respecting the Johnsons' wishes not to write because they were in negotiations. What should we do? We have to do something. I signed the on-line petition to keep STFBE on PAX (some people on the CTV board are saying this is a waste of time - I'm not sure that I agree with them). I know I have been praying every single day for God to help the Johnsons find the funding they need. I'll keep on praying.

If anyone has any updates, I'd really appreciate it. Oh, someone on the CTV message board also indicated that the last day of filming would be January 25, 2005.

This show just can't end, at least not this soon. What can we do? We have to band together and do something.

I am so sad... sad.gif

I too am saddened by the news that, barring a miraculous pick up, STFBE will be cancelled.

I certainly don't understand all the ins and outs of producing and funding a television show, but it seems a shame to me that a supposedly family oriented network would pull the plug on a family show - and one that has a broad fan base.

My prayers are with the Johnson brothers in their search for a rescue network. If writing letters, making phone calls - anything - will help - I'm all for it.

To the cast and crew: Thank you for three wonderful years. Your absence will be mourned for a very long time. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Thank you for committing your time and efforts to this wonderful show and brining us such happiness.

I guess I can now cancel my cable, because there is absolutely nothing else on television I care to watch - much less is decent enough for my children to see.

Well there has been petitions going around, because most of you live in Canada you guys can form together and meet with someone to try to compromise, like still show re-runs at least. Since most of us are teens then they would probably be more influenced if young people(20 or under) went to prove that shows like STFBEye should stay on. If I lived in Canada I would have already done something, but i live in California so I can't go to Canada, but a lot, i mean a lot of you live in Canada so you have the support of this site and we can band together with other sites to try to figure out something, let's just hope that some one will believe in us a keep the STFBEye spirit alive.

This is really sad. My heart broke when I found out about this. I really love this show. I really hope they finish a season and jack and sue get together now. since the show is ending. I am going to miss it. Maybe down the road they will put it on dvd and make a movie. Lets hope.

I am sadden by the news.

Why take off a good show that is clean. I don't understand.
Mr&MrsHudson
I don't understand either, Doglover. This is such a clean show and that is one reason that I love it. It has been so refreshing to be able to watch a show with no swearing, no lewd or suggestive comments, no half-dressed people, no one living together, etc., etc., etc. I'm still hoping that Gershwin and Dolphin can find out something different from their sources. Just keep praying. That's all we can do until we hear further instructions from those who are in contact with the Johnsons.

To the cast and crew and writers and production staff and everyone involved with this show. You are all totally awesome! Thank you for absolutely everything you do for us in bringing this magnificent show to our television screens. I am in total awe of the cast who so brilliantly portray each beloved character on this show. If this truly extraordinary show does end, it will be a real loss for many of us. If only somehow each and every single STFBE fan on every continent on this planet could make themselves known to the "powers that be" at the networks, they'd realize what a horrendous mistake they are making by not providing the funding for this show and airing it. I know I certainly won't be watching PAX anymore (except for the occasional Diagnosis Murder episode), because with Doc leaving and possibly STFBE, PAX really has nothing else to offer that I would consistently, without fail, tune in to watch. Sorry PAX, but I'll just go back to watching TVLand and HGTV alone.

To the Johnsons, thank you so much for faith in our Lord and your efforts to bring good, clean, inspirational shows to this "lost" world. I truly admire you.

Well, I'll just keep on praying and checking back for maybe some better, more hopeful news, or at least news of how we can ALL let our voices and presence be known.
