WHAT! Kav, You've never had chocolate pie? I can't believe it! That's unthinkable! My mother found a recipe years ago that is so simple and my son makes it every Thanksgiving, like she used to do! Made with Hershey almond candy bars, cool whip in a baked pie shell! Hmmmmm, delicious! Can't wait to see your recipe, TinaLynne! I'll have to try it out on my son and grandchildren! Oh, Cath, I didn't even think about the potion making you fall for the first woman to walk thru the door...Eleanor? I'm LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

What? YOU don't have a recipe for chocolate pie, TinaLynne? Well, I'll just have to PM you my mother's....after 6p tonight birgits_giggle.gif

Ok, well, we don't have to worry about that 'first woman' business. Appears Sue is the first one to enter the office! 2.gif melting.gif melting.gif melting.gif melting.gif melting.gif kissing.gif fainting.gif

That was a fast acting potion!!!!!! Now, Tara, that is so sweet of you to not tell about the love potion! You can't even tell Bobby once the two of you are together, b/c he couldn't keep something like that from his best mate! Well, maybe you can tell Jack and Sue on their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary! Write out the recipe for them and enclose it in their anniversary card. But, of course, you would have to hand deliver it, so you could see their reaction! After 25 or 50 years, what's it going to matter then? biggrin.gif

Now, why do I have this portentous feeling like Duckfan? B/c it's only page 5 of 20! Oh, no! I was in such a meltilicious condition I hadn't even thought about what would happen if Sue finds out! I can see the angst coming! Coming down the road! Around the bend! baseball_bat.gif

Beautiful scene, in the park, walking along the Potomac! cloud9.gif

Failure wasn’t an option.
blowkiss.gif That's just what I wanted to hear...er read. But I've just had a truly dreadful thought...so horrendous that I just can't bring myself to put it in print and would warrant a centiped's worth of shoe.gif dropping...hopefully I am wrong. kav
I've had a thought or two along those same lines, Kav! Back to read.gif

Oh, I don't want the night to end either, Sue. And, like Kav, I'm just going to enjoy the moment and not worry about Angstina making an appearance! melting.gif

Not-able-sleep-Jack is definitely a pay back for all of Sue's sleepless nights pining away for him. I sure hope she tells him that some day. And I'm glad Jack is taking action instead of lying there trying to go to sleep. Doing something, especially planning by making lists, will make the night pass more quickly and he can then shower and be over to take her to breakfast! He is so gonna crash the next night though, from lack of sleep!

I like your idea, Kav, about bringing the pie in and leaving it for eveyone to eat; however, even better I think would be to bring it in and give the entire pie to Lucy; b/c, then it wouldn't be Tara's pie anymore, it would be Lucy's and we all know that Bobby couldn't stand to not go swipe a morsel of the delectible looking dessert! biggrin.gif

Well, I'm over the halfway mark now and am going to take a break and get up and walk around the house for a bit! I am so enjoying this story, TinaLynne. As Eclipsse said, it is fantastic! Be back soon!

Lynn

Frwdgranny
I love that Jack got Lucy out of bed! Disheveled Jack with flowers in tow...now that would be a sight for sore eyes....fanning.gif

Now, Linny, really, would our Jack bring Sue flowers with the roots still showing? He would at least have cut the roots off! LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

In our neck of the woods, grocery stores have flower shops in them...I can't remember if the 'Giant' grocery store outside of DC (where my sister lives) has flowers or not, but that's is where he had to have bought them. Oh, Eclipsse, I hope you are right, cause I'm thinking the same thing! bounching.gif

Hmmm, Butter Tarts....never tried them. Are you going to post them in the recipe section? baking.gif

Okay, now I think I've figured out why you don't try the love potion pie on yourself. Once you've given it to someone else and you see how it works, it naturally gives you the confidence to go after the love of your life; and if they return your love, it works; if not, well it wasn't meant to be! Now that I've got that bit of philosophy out of my system, let me get back to read.gif

Oh, I suspected as much when you started warning us about not having mentioned Bobby! After the show ended I was a Tara/Stanley fan until I started reading all the Tara/Bobby stories out here; so, I've an open mind to Tara/Myles! biggrin.gif

Now, let me go read the damage assessment to this post! slaphappy.gif

Lynn

Frwdgranny
Now, that wasn't as bad a reaction from the fans as I thought it would be! Oh, Eclipsse and I were right....Jack and Sue got married! yay.gif

I just knew when he asked her to go away with him for the weekend marriage was what was on his mind, among other things! poster_oops.gif smiley_wedding.gif melting.gif

I loved your comment Kav....one of those breathless paragraphs that reminds me of......me! slaphappy.gif

Myles' dinner preparations AND thoughts were exquisite, exactly in character for him. Maybe he should be flabbergasted more often...as he obviously would never have made the first move, thinking as he did that Tara's feelings ran deep for Bobby! I'm liking this path, TinaLynne; it is refreshing and I, too, have always thought there was more to be explored about Myles than was shown on TV. Now, Tara, all he needs is just a little encouragement from you...so, you'll need to batting eyelashes.gif and ily.gif to get that kiss.gif and more! pant.gif poster_oops.gif

They’d stopped a few hours later for a picnic lunch, and it was then that he had proposed, pulling out a diamond ring that had taken her breath away.
Now, TinaLynne...just when had Jack purchased the ring? Are there all night jewelry stores? slaphappy.gif

Oh, a 2 BR cabin? So, marriage wasn't really on Jack's mind, here! Sweet that he made sure Sue would be comfortable with their sleeping arrangements. Well, Sue, I, for one, am glad you told him you didn't want to wait to get married. And Jack, I'm glad you were not a turtle.gif

and put that plan into action as soon as Sue voiced it. melting.gif cloud9.gif

That was a devine post, TinaLynne! Just heavenly! A reception a month later is a great idea!

Honestly, the poor woman probably thought she better strike while the iron is hot! hifive.gif
Loved Kav's line! LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

I just don't understand why poor Levi couldn't join them. hmmm.gif He'd like life in the wilderness...lots of bunny foo foos to chase. I hope he'll adjust to his new lifestyle...you know, couch not bed! kav
Now Kav, if Levi had been along, Jack and Sue would have to leave the cabin! poster_oops.gif

And I think Levi may find his way back to the bed on occasion! slaphappy.gif

Kav, I appreciate your love and concern for Levi, but do you think they would ever be able to leave the bedroom long enough to let the poor dog out to take care of business? blush.gif

Wonderful job Tina, long engagement/short engagement, a host of friends and family at a church/a single witness at a justice of the peace, big lavish reception/picnic before the wedding... doesn't matter one iota... as long as they're together. In fact, I think I prefer this way. It's all about them and the way they feel about each other... no getting caught up in the "show" of a big wedding. Perfect.

Other Tina
Oh, I stopped reading too soon! Other Tina said it much more eloquently than I did.....so, just have to quote it! girl_sigh.gif melting.gif

Oh, the dratted (I think I just made up a new a word) interruption of the oven timer! Now, there is still the rest of the evening, Tara, for something to happen....remember, you have to MAKE it happen! And, it looks like Myles just might be receptive to you making it happen! Oh, the Butter Tarts sound delicious! I don't think they sell Rogers corn syrup here though, so I'll have to go with the 'other' brand. I love nuts...could I put some nuts in the recipe too? Also, this may sound like a dumb question; but, I've never made tarts...are they the tiny ones, 1" in diameter or muffin size? Kav, you've never heard of corn syrup? It's used to make popcorn balls at Christmas as well as peanut brittle! Now, peanut brittle....Oh, we make loads of that at Christmas time....an old family recipe....I should have used that in my story. Oh, well, I'll remember that for next time...or maybe for another time!

Oh, Sue in a black negligee, straddling Jack? pant.gif blushing.gif fan.gif

Yes, Jack...we want to know...about the flowers and the ring, especially about the ring!

Now was not the right time to reveal the side of him that was a hopeless romantic.
MYLES!!!!!!!!!! YES it is!!!!!! mad.gif

Oh, Tara....that was it...just the kind of encouragement Myles needs. kissing.gif eek.gif yikes.gif

Here comes the angst....drive carefully, Myles. We don't want you in an accident on the way to the hospital. What was in the tarts that caused the allergic reaction? This may be just the catalyst to get Myles off square one and make him realize how much he loves her and show her!

QUOTE
Being married to Jack was a dream come true, and she felt like she’d been reunited with a piece of her heart that had been missing all these years.
Oh, such lovely thoughts by Sue! melting.gif
QUOTE
While she was eager to share their news with her friends and family, Sue wasn’t looking forward to going back to DC. Though she knew it would be exciting to officially start their new lives together, she loved being away from it all with him. Reminding herself that was what honeymoons were about, Sue knew they’d just have to make the most of this stolen time and not worry about ‘real life’ while they had the chance.
I'm crying with happiness for Sue. Such dreamy thoughts, wanting these moments in time to stay forever...I can remember feeling that way once upon a time! melting.gif cloud9.gif

Okay, we're in the home stretch and this should be the final comment. Sorry I've posted so many...but, I'm hopelessly addicted to commenting!

Now, we have to wait until dinner tomorrow night for a Tara and Myles something to start...eh? Question: What is an EpiPen?

Oh, it's over! So soon? I agree with the others, tying the end to the beginning was a great way to pull it all together. All is good in FBI land! And, I have this warm and fuzzy feeling that will stay with me the rest of the day and even when I think back on this very delightful story, TinaLynne. I love your writing style. I love Jack and Sue. I even love Tara and Myles. Mix them vigorously together and bake for 20 or so pages and you have a lovely story to read with lots of warm fuzzies and low angst at any time of the day or night! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent! clapping.gif

I hope to be able to keep up to date with the next story you write. Now I'm off to see what other stories you have out here and add them to my growing list of stores to read!
