Averil
She couldn’t wait to share her news. The temptation to step on the gas pedal so that she might reach her destination sooner was a strong one, but she resisted it. A traffic ticket would slow her down more than anything else could, and though she doubted it was possible, she didn’t want anything to put a damper on her mood. Besides, she was already late, and she knew that her friends would still be there waiting for her, even if she was the last to arrive.

Smiling as she thought about the event that had taken place before she’d left to spend an all-girls weekend with her two best friends, she wondered how they’d react when she told them… would they be surprised, or had they seen the signs before she’d been able to recognize them herself?

These women had been there for her in times that weren’t so happy; now that her dreams were coming true one by one, she was fairly bursting at the seams to share her good news with them. Glancing quickly at her directions, her smile widened as she realized her destination was right around the next corner.

She smiled when recalling the events of the previous week. The man of her dreams told her he loves her… and after three years they confessed their feelings to each other at last. Sue couldn’t have been happier… she felt the greatest wish of her life had become true by the man whom she loved more than anything reciprocating her feelings.

She couldn’t wait to tell her best friends about the new events, to share her happiness with them as well. In the past week she hadn’t seen Lucy too often, since her flatmate was usually with Jason, while she spent most of her time with Jack. Sue was first surprised when her friend didn’t interrogate her immediately, until the tiniest details about the evening spent at Jack’s place, but then she understood that the homecoming of her love and finding each other once again charmed Lucy so much that not even the progress of her matchmaker activity could tear her out of this state. But Sue was aware that, regardless of how much in love her friend is, this weekend she has to give an account about everything which happened in the past weekend.

She had separated from Jack only a few hours ago, but she already missed the man terribly… Now she couldn’t imagine how she was able to live without his touch, his kisses until now. He is the man of my dreams… The man whom I’ve been waiting for all my life. I miss his kisses, the gentle stroking of his hands on my skin so much… Although she would have loved best if the love of her life would have joined her for this weekend, she knew that she would have a great time with her friends in the house of Tara’s parents in Florida; and tried to think of all this that after being away for a few days, meeting her love again would be even more exciting.

A few minutes later, arriving in front of the house of her friend’s parents, she felt her blackberry vibrate, and took it into her hands curiously to see whom she received a message from, hoping that she would see the name of a certain man on the screen. She smiled when seeing the received picture… a heart, with the „I love you” note under it. She pressed the „Reply” button smiling, then typed in her own message. „I love you, already missing you” – she wrote, then pressed the „Send” button. Putting the blackberry back to its place, she got out of the car, opened the door for Levi so that he could jump out as well; then headed towards the entrance, to meet her friends, and the girls’ weekend could begin at last, for which they have been waiting for so long.

Great start Averil. Can't wait to see how Sue tells Tara and Lucy her good news. bouncing fire.gif

And also interesting to find them at Tara's parents' home in FL. Maybe we'll get a little of Tara's background here too and her relationship with her parents?

Jack was sitting musing on the couch of his living room. After three years of suffering, it seemed unbelievable that the greatest dream of his life has come true at last… that he could call the woman whom he loved more than anyone in the world his girlfriend. I confessed the love of my life at last what I feel for her… I told her at last that she is the woman I am in love with. He sighed. I cannot even imagine how I was able of keeping my feelings hidden until now… How I was able to live without telling her I love her more than anyone.

The love of his life had just left for Florida a few hours ago, but her absence already seemed an eternity. He had no idea how he would endure such a long time without the woman. Although he only had to spend a weekend without Sue, he terribly felt her absence, and to make the bearing of the following few days easier, he already started counting back the minutes, until he can see his love at last.

To stay in connection with each other at least through ether, if they cannot be beside one another, he grabbed his mobile phone, and chose the image which perfectly reflected his feelings, and which he could share with his love. „I love you” – he typed in, then pressed the „Send” button holding his breathing back. He smiled when his phone beeped in a minute, indicating he had received a new message. His heart started beating faster when seeing Sue’s name on the screen. He opened the message, and read smiling what his girlfriend replied. „ I love you, already missing you”… He gently brushed his hands against the mobile phone. I miss you a lot too, my love. But only two more days and you’ll be back in my arms again… And then I’ll never let you go again.

Another great post. You have captured the essence of pining away the hours until the love of Jack's life returns. Why do I have this nagging feeling that all may not go so well and it will be more than just a weekend before he sees her again? Naw, you wouldn't do that! After all, this is a recipe for happiness, not disaster! smile.gif

- Hi Sue! You are here at last – her friends greeted her, when she stepped in the house. – How was the journey?
- Long – the woman smiled. – I couldn’t wait to get here.
- Sure it was – Lucy smiled as well. – We’ll spend a great weekend together.
- I’m sure about that – Sue replied, looking round. – You have a beautiful house, Tara – she looked at her friend.
- Yes, I love it too – Tara said. – But you haven’t seen the garden yet – she added, and led her friends out of the house.

- Beautiful – Sue smiled, when they got to the garden.
- Indeed – Lucy said, while they lay down on the deckchairs in the garden. – I fell in love with it in the first moment as well.
- And these flowers… Wonderful – Sue said, trying to lie on the deckchair so that she can see her friends’ words. – My mother’s flower garden is beautiful as well, it is a real experience to just sit there and enjoy the beauties of nature…

- Yes, we do that as well – Tara smiled. – But tell me, how was your past week like? – she asked curiously. – I barely saw you.
- I believe this was the most beautiful week of my life so far – Sue replied daydreaming. – But Lucy, I didn’t see too much of you, tell me, how was your week? – she asked smiling.

- My week? – Lucy asked back. – Wonderful… - she mused.
- Beside a man like Jason, no wonder… - Tara grinned. – So tell me, what happened exactly? And don’t leave out a single detail – she drew closer to her friend.
- Just as if I would hear myself… - Lucy shook her head. – But Jason… He is such a wonderful man… - she continued daydreaming, her eyes looking far away. She recalled the events of the past two weeks. After years of being away, the man whom she had loved for long returned home… and Lucy was incredibly happy that the man reciprocated her feelings. She and the love of her life were together at last… and she felt she had never been so happy before.

- We all know this, but tell me at last, what happened? – Sue’s excited voice brought her back to reality.
- After our first dinner… he took me above the city… to admire Washington’s lights from there… - the dreamy look on her face didn’t change. – Then he kissed me… And told me he loves me…
- You have already said this, but tell us at last, what happened after that? – Tara asked impatiently.

- At our dinner on Sunday he created a really romantic atmosphere in his apartment… we even listened to romantic songs, because he knows I like it… - her friend replied, returning in her thoughts to the romantic dinner the past week. – It was so beautiful… - she mused. – And after that… He told me again that he loves me, and asked me to marry him… - she said, still miles away from reality.

- Did he propose to you?? – her friends asked at the same time, and Lucy nodded. – And I immediately said yes… - she smiled.
- Well-well… Our matchmaker is engaged… - Tara still couldn’t believe what she had just heard.
- Jason is a wonderful man, you’ll be very happy – Sue held her friend’s hand.
- Yes… This is for sure – the woman said. – But tell us, what happened at your dinner with Jack? – she asked excitedly.

- It was so romantic… - Sue started, re-living the wonderful Sunday evening in her thoughts. – He lit matches… and cooked for me… Just for me – she said daydreaming. – And prepared the recipe for love, from a family recipe… The recipe for love, for the woman he loves – she recalled. – Then he said I’m the love of his life… That he has been in love with me ever since we first met – she recalled the man’s words. – Then he kissed me… - she said, flying metres above the ground.

- He kissed you? – Lucy and Tara asked excitedly, pulling closer to their friend, so that they won’t miss a single word.
- Yes… - Sue replied, still floating in her dream world.
- And… Does he kiss well? – Lucy asked with sparkling eyes.
- Fantastic… - Sue replied, re-living every single moment of the kiss. – I have only been kissed a few times so far, but this… His lips touching mine… His tenderness… - she said daydreaming.

- I see Jack’s kiss had a great effect on you – Lucy smiled. – Which was about time… The whole team has been waiting for three years when he would confess at last what we all knew already… And I’m so happy he eventually did that – she grabbed her friend’s hand.
- Everyone kept their fingers crossed for you two to get together at last – Tara smiled. – And I’m so happy you have… You are perfect for one another – she said.

- I have come away for only a few hours, but I already miss him so much… - Sue sighed.
- Love is just like this… - Lucy replied. – I also miss Jason terribly… But I’m glad we can see each other again on Sunday.
- Well, in my life there is no guy whom I would miss, and who would miss me… - Tara said, with a little sadness in her voice. Her friends immediately held her hands to soothe her.

- Believe me, the man of your dreams whom you have always been waiting for will appear in your life too – Sue said.
- I envy your optimism, Sue… - her friend sighed. – I’m not so sure about that any more.

- Just two weeks ago I thought the same – Sue said. – For years, I could just dream that the man of my dreams returns my feelings… and I thought he would never consider me for anything more than a simple friend. But then everything changed at once, and the greatest dream of my life came true… Jack told me he loves me, and we became a couple at last. Two weeks ago all this seemed so unbelievable… But now this is reality. Believe me, you’ll succeed as well… You just have to wait for the right moment. Our fate knows what happens and when in our lives, when it is time for what. Just believe you’ll succeed in everything you would like, and your dreams will come true – she smiled.

- I completely agree with Sue – Lucy said. – Two weeks ago who would have thought that I’ll be engaged by now… - she looked at her friend. – And now I’ll still get married.
- Girls, thanks for being near me – Tara replied with eyes sparkling with tears. – This means a lot to me.
- What are friends for… - Sue and Lucy smiled, then the three friends hugged each other, sealing a bond that lasts forever, which is more powerful than any earthly might.

- What about swimming in the sea and sunbathing? – Lucy suggested.
- Sounds good – Tara replied, forgetting her sadness. She was grateful to fate that she can have such great friends as Lucy and Sue. She knew that no matter what difficulties she has to face throughout her life, they will always be beside her. They are the best friends in the world – she smiled, while heading to the beach.

- Jack, what happened? – the man woke up from daydreaming at the voice of his best friend. In order not to spend the evening alone, suffering from the absence of the love of his life, he went over to Bobby to watch a game and eat pizza, but not even the time spent with his friend could make up for the space caused by Sue’s going away.

- Nothing, just… I don’t know – he said at last.
- You miss Sue, right? – the Australian asked, and Jack knew his friend is completely aware of what he feels for the woman.
- Yes, very much… - he admitted. – Although she has only left a few hours ago…
- You really love her, right? – Bobby looked at him, and his friend nodded. There was no need for words… Bobby knew his best friend too well to be aware that now he is truly in love.

They sat there silently for minutes, with pizza in their hands… they were both absorbed in their thoughts.
- But tell me, what happened the past week? – Bobby said at last. – I barely saw you. You did… - he realized, when seeing his friend’s smile. – You told her at last that you love her? – he asked, also smiling.

- I did… - Jack said. – On our dinner on Sunday I told her I love her… that she is the love of my life.
- It was about time – his friend replied. – You tortured the team more than enough with this „I love him/her, but what if he/she doesn’t reciprocate my feelings” – relationship. But now I see why I saw so little of you in the past week… - he grinned knowingly.

- Yes… We spent all our free time together… we started making up for everything we missed in the past years – Jack said.
- Well, as many things you missed in the last three years, you still have to spend quite a lot of time together – Bobby replied, and Jack knew his friend was perfectly right. But he decided he will never waste a single moment from his life… that he never wants to spend a single day without his love any more.

- You are really in love… - Bobby stated smiling. – So much as never before… Although I have known quite many of your girlfriends. But this is different…
- Indeed… - Jack said. – Sue is completely different… She is the love of my life.
- Call her – the Australian suggested. – She surely misses you a lot as well.
- Yes, I will do just that… - his friend smiled. – I can’t wait to hear her voice… Now she is surely with the girls, and I don’t want to disturb them, but I’ll call them a bit later – he said, knowing that the evening cannot come soon enough, when he can talk to his love at last.

- This was really good – Sue said, when they headed home after swimming and sunbathing for hours.
- Yes, it really was… - Lucy said. – I needed just that… a peaceful weekend spent with girlfriends.
- See how good it is if your friend is from a sunny state, and in whose house you can come any time –Tara smiled, and the girls nodded in agreement.

- I was really waiting for an all-girls weekend as well… - Sue admitted. – But I terribly miss Jack… We haven’t seen each other for hours.
- This is the real, great love… - Lucy smiled. – You cannot live without each other, not even for a moment.
- Yes, indeed… - her friend said. – But I’m happy from the thought that we’ll see each other in barely two days.
- I completely understand you… - Lucy replied. – I also miss Jason lot… And although I’m really happy we all can be together at last, I can’t wait to see him again.

- I don’t have such a problem… - Tara said. – So I can spend the weekend without longing for anyone – she added, although deep in her heart she knew that this isn’t true at all.
- Soon The One will come to you as well, Tara – Lucy said with an encouraging smile. – And perhaps life is making you to wait this much now to give you a real miracle soon – she grasped her friend’s hand.
- I hope you are right… - Tara sighed. – I hope I’ll find the man of my dreams soon… - she added musing, hoping that the man whom she had loved for a long time would indeed reciprocate her feelings.

As soon as they got back to the house, Sue felt her blackberry vibrate. Looking at the screen, she found happily that the love of her life was calling.
- Hi, honey – she started typing, going a little farther from her friends.
- Hi, sweetheart, great to talk to you again. How are you feeling in the sunny Florida? – she read on the screen.
- Great… I’m just missing you a lot – the woman wrote.
- I’m terribly missing you as well – Jack replied.
- But we’ll meet in barely two days – she wrote.
- I can’t wait – the reply came, and Sue smiled.
- Me too – she typed.
- I’m counting the minutes when I can see you again… I love you – Jack wrote.
- Love you too – Sue replied.

The two women were curiously watching their friend’s conversation with her love, and although they couldn’t see the messages, they knew exactly what the two of them had been talking about for minutes.
- What did he write? – they asked at the same time, when Sue finished the conversation at last.
- That he loves me, and can’t wait to see me… - the woman replied daydreaming.
- But I believe he isn’t alone with this… - Lucy smiled.
- That’s right… I also miss him a lot – Sue said.
- But you can see him again in less than two days – Tara said. – But let’s go now, I think we can eat – she suggested, and her friends followed her to the kitchen.

*

Jack finished the conversation smiling. It was good to talk to his love again, although only for minutes and from far away. But two days from now I can take you in my arms and feel your kisses again… And after that, we’ll be together forever.

Changing his T-shirt and trousers to boxers and the hockey jersey received from Sue, he went to bed and tried to fall asleep, but couldn’t do so for hours… his thoughts were filled by a single person, whose scent he could feel at least, if she couldn’t be with him now. He drew his hand on the jersey, while inhaling the woman’s sweet scent. I love you, Sue… More than anyone else in this world.

*

After having dinner and talking a bit with Tara’s parents, the girls also went to sleep.
- Good night… And dream of your Jack – Lucy said.
- I think you can take this for sure – Sue smiled.
- Then see you in the morning… And then another day on the beach is waiting for us – Tara said.
- Can’t wait… - Lucy said. – Today was great… Of course, except that our Sue hasn’t seen her love for hours – she smiled.
- But you also miss Jason, admit it – Sue playfully swatted her friend’s arm, and Lucy raised her hands in defence.
- OK, I admit, I also miss my fiancé a lot – she said at last. – But now let’s go to sleep, otherwise we won’t be able to get up in the morning – she suggested.

Sue went to sleep in the guestroom, but was unable to fall asleep for hours. She drew her hand on the hockey jersey received from Jack, which she had put on for the night, so that if her love cannot be beside her now, at least she could feel his scent, his nearness. She took a deep breath, and smiled when the man’s scent filled her senses. I love you, Jack… And I can’t wait to be in your arms again, to feel your kisses... Drawing her hand again on the hockey jersey, imagining Jack being near her, she fell asleep with the love of her life in her thoughts.

The rays of the sun shone through the window, softly caressing the face of the woman sleeping peacefully in the room. The woman smiled as the love of her life appeared in her dreams again, making her face even more beautiful.

Suddenly she was overwhelmed by a pleasant, familiar feeling, as she felt a soft kiss on her lips. She opened her eyes, and smiled when she saw the familiar face.
- Good morning, sweetheart – the man smiled, stroking her face.
- Good morning… Jack, what are you doing here? – she asked surprised, seeing her love standing beside the bed.
- I felt I can’t endure one more minute without you – the man sat beside Sue on the bed, taking her hands into his.
- I also terribly missed you, honey – Sue replied, stroking the hands of her love.
- I love you – Jack stroked her hands too, kissing her.
- I love you too – the woman whispered between two kisses.

- Then I’ll get dressed – Sue got up from the bed a few minutes later.
- Shall I help you? – the man winked, and Sue playfully swatted his arm, kissing him again.

*

- Well-well, the couple in love is together again – Lucy smiled, when Jack and Sue appeared in the kitchen holding each other’s hands.
- Thank you for telling me – Jack looked at her.
- Lucy called the knight in love in the evening, telling him to come here, because his sweetheart terribly misses him – Tara explained.
- And since he cannot endure much time without you either, he ran here to you – Lucy added.

- I didn’t want to disturb at night, but as morning came, I came immediately – the man put his arm around his love.
- A real couple in love… They cannot live without each other – Lucy smiled, looking at her friends contentedly, stating happily that her matchmaker activity going on for three years was successful at last.

- Then can we go to the beach? – Tara asked.
- Jack, are you coming? – Lucy looked at the man. – Of course you are coming, you two cannot bear even a minute without each other – she grinned, while the man kissed the forehead of his sweetheart, still embracing her.

Similarly to yesterday, they spent the morning with swimming and sunbathing, but this time Sue spent less time having fun with her friends, never leaving her love alone. The outer world stopped existing for Jack and Sue, as always when they were beside each other. Lucy and Tara watched them smiling, as they embraced and kissed each other happily, oblivious to their surroundings. After all these years, they got together at last… They really deserve happiness. It is so obvious they were made for each other… And they will stay together forever.

- What shall we spend the afternoon with? – Tara asked a few hours later.
- We could go walking or shopping – Lucy suggested.
- And since this is supposed to be a girls’ weekend, I’ll leave you alone for that time and take care of Levi – Jack offered.

- Will you be able to endure such a long time without each other? – Lucy grinned, looking at her friends.
- It will be hard, but you planned this weekend to spend it with your friends, and I don’t want to disturb – Jack embraced his love.
- Honey, you never disturb – Sue stroked the man’s face. – But after this, we’ll always be together – she pressed a light kiss on his lips.

- Now that we have agreed on this, we can go – Tara looked at the couple in love smiling. – You can be together again soon – she added, wishing the love of her life to love her as Jack loves Sue.
- OK… Bye sweetheart, see you later – Jack kissed his love.
- I love you too – Sue returned the kiss, then looked at the man taking Levi to walk.

- How romantic… You can barely leave each other – Lucy smiled.
- It wasn’t easy to separate from Jason for you either, even for a single weekend – Sue reminded her.
- Indeed, I really miss Jason… - the woman sighed. – In the past day we could only talk by text messages and on the phone… But tomorrow I can see him again – her face brightened again.

- Thank you for calling Jack – Sue looked at her. – I don’t know how I would have born another day without him; regardless of how good I’m feeling here, I terribly missed him.
- I saw how much you miss him, and since I knew he feels the same way, I thought I would ask him whether he would come here for the rest of the weekend – Lucy replied.
- And of course, he immediately said yes – Tara added.
- And became really excited by the thought that in a few hours he can be with you again – Lucy said.

- Girls, you are so kind to me… - Sue held her friends’ hands.
- Who said yesterday that this is what friends are for? – Tara smiled. – We would do anything to see you happy, and we are glad this was successful – she said, and Lucy nodded in agreement.
- Thanks girls – Sue smiled as well, and the three women hugged each other, strengthening their friendship again.

The light of the full moon illuminated the young couple walking on the shore, embracing each other. They were walking silently in the sand, absorbed in their thoughts… There was no need for words; they completely understood each other from their touches.

- I’m so happy you came… - the woman said at last. – I love being with the girls and couldn’t wait for this weekend, but I missed you so much…
- I missed you a lot too – the man replied. – I slept in the hockey jersey which I received for Christmas from you three years ago, to feel your scent, to feel you closer to me…
- I did the same – the woman smiled. – But it’s much better to be really in your arms – she snuggled to her love, who drew her closer.

- I love you, Sue – the man stopped suddenly, tenderly turning her to face him. – I love you, and I am the luckiest man in the world to call you my girlfriend – he gently caressed his sweetheart’s face.
- I love you too, Jack – the woman smiled, shivering at the man’s touch.

- I love you… More than anything – Jack repeated, while lowering his head to press a light kiss on his sweetheart’s lips. Sue felt the fire burning within her, when the lips of her love gently touched hers. Jack asked permission for entrance, and the woman parted her lips immediately, letting the way free for the man’s tongue, which, sliding into her mouth, demandingly searched for that of the woman. Their tongues started a passionate dance with one another, and Sue softly moaned, when she felt the hands of her love on her back, stroking her higher and higher, until they got to her face. The outer world stopped existing for them… in that moment, it was only the two of them.

A few seconds later they parted gasping for air.
- I love you – Jack whispered, embracing his love again.
- I love you too – Sue snuggled closer to the man, while they headed back to the house.

- Where have you been for so long? – Lucy asked, as the couple in love appeared again. – No, don’t answer – she added knowingly. – But it’s late, time to go to bed – she said. – Sue, Jack, we thought you could sleep in the same room… Jack, I know you would surely go to your love at night, so we thought we would spare you the effort and a possible accident, and put you to her room – she gave the couple a meaningful look, and Sue blushed from the thought.

- But of course, you can also think that this way, you need to use less bed linen, so we only put you in one room for the sake of being economical – Tara smiled.
- Obvious – Lucy and Tara winked at each other.

- Your care is really touching, but could we go to bed at last? – Jack asked.
- Isn’t this cute? They can’t wait to sleep near each other – Lucy and Tara changed knowing glances, and the couple thought it was better to wish good night and go to their room.
- Good night! – Lucy said. – And in the morning, you don’t have to hurry with waking up – she added, and headed towards their own rooms together with Tara, to leave the couple in love alone.

Jack took off his clothes, only leaving his boxers on him, and got to the bed beside his love, who in the meantime also changed into her nightshirt. Jack took the woman into his arms, and softly kissed her.
- Good night, sweetheart – he stroked the woman’s face.
- Good night, honey – Sue snuggled closer to the man, stroking Jack’s bare chest.

They fell asleep in each other’s arms, happy from the thought that they can be together again, and they don’t have to separate ever again.

The man lay on the bed smiling, watching his love sleeping in his arms. She is so beautiful when she sleeps… But she is always beautiful. He tenderly stroked the woman’s face, and pressed a light kiss on her lips. The woman opened her eyes, and smiled when she saw the man of her dreams, who showered her with kisses.

- Good morning, sweetie – Sue smiled, stroking the man’s hair.
- Good morning, honey – Jack kissed her again. – How did you sleep?
- If I can be beside you, I always sleep well – the woman smiled. – And how did you sleep?
- If I can hold you in my arms, I can only sleep well – Jack pressed another kiss on the lips of his sweetheart.

- You cannot imagine how much – Jack replied, drawing his love closer, who read blushing what was said.

- What shall we spend the day with? – Sue asked still embarrassed, trying to change the topic.
- Beach volleyball? – Lucy suggested. – I don’t think you would mind if you fell on each other while playing – she grinned.
- Good idea – Jack pressed a kiss on Sue’s forehead, making his love blush again.
- Err… We’ll surely feel good – Sue said, imagining herself lying under Jack in the sand.
- I believe we are looking forward a really interesting day – Lucy smiled, as the team headed towards the kitchen.

- This was really great – Jack said a few hours later, lying in the sand, drawing his love to him.
- I suppose the fact that you and Sue fell on each other countless times also has something to do with this… - Lucy smiled.
- What could I do, I’m clumsy – Jack smiled as well, drawing Sue closer to himself.
- And the fact that you fell on her or pulled her with yourself on the ground so many times can only be attributed to chance or your so-called clumsiness, and not at all to your love lying beside you – Tara said.
- That’s right – Jack replied, and Sue swatted his arm playfully.

- So I don’t have such an effect on you so that you want to fall on the ground together with me because of me? – she asked, pretending to be upset.
- I’ve never said that – Jack replied, and to prove his statement, he placed himself above the woman, softly kissing her.
- We are here as well, in case you haven’t realized… - Lucy said indignantly, watching the scene. – Although why would you realize, you’ve got so absorbed in one another… - she added.
- Sorry, but I had to prove my beautiful girlfriend once again that I’m crazy for her – the man replied, kissing his love again.
- As I see, you succeeded in this… - Tara stated, seeing the happy couple.
- Absolutely – Jack smiled, and Sue’s face showed she completely agreed with her love.

- Sorry for disturbing you in this friendly chat – a familiar voice was heard. Jack and the girls looked in the direction of the voice, and Sue followed her friends’ gazes, where Bobby, Myles and Jason were looking at them smiling.
- You here? – Lucy asked surprised, happily throwing herself into her fiancé’s arms.
- Don’t be so happy to see us, we’ll be too complacent in the end – Myles grumbled, but the cheerful atmosphere of the team eventually made him smile as well.

- We thought you surely miss us like crazy, therefore we came to visit you… - Bobby grinned.
- You weren’t wrong… We missed you a lot – Lucy kissed her fiancé, making obvious whom she missed the most.
- I missed you a lot too – Jason whispered, returning the kiss.
- Lucy, it seems to me as if not so long ago you weren’t too enthusiastic about me showing the public how much I love my girlfriend – Jack reminded her.
- Well yes, but I was enchanted by the sight at the same time, that how much you love each other… so perhaps every couple in love could kiss on the beach – Lucy embraced her love.

- And, how did you spend the weekend without us? – Myles asked.
- With surprisingly many pleasant activities, like swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball… - Tara said.
- Sounds good – Bobby said. – I believe we really deserve this after the long journey – he added, and the team started a new beach volleyball match enthusiastically.

The sun was about to set above the Florida seashore, making the sky reddish, giving the environment a breathtaking sight. With the approach of the evening the shore became empty; there were only a few people loitering around.

A young couple was walking on the shore holding hands, changing glances of love with each other… Whenever an outsider looked at them, it immediately became obvious how much they loved each other.

- Sunset is wonderful – Sue stopped, watching the miracle of nature.
- Indeed, it is really beautiful – Jack agreed, embracing his love. – But nothing can be more beautiful than you – he smiled, pressing a light kiss on the woman’s lips.
- You can’t complain either – Sue smiled, returning the kiss.
- You mean I’m attractive? – the man asked with his irresistible smile.
- I do – Sue laughed. – Just don’t be too complacent – she added, playfully raising her finger.

- I love you – Jack drew the woman closer, pressing another kiss on her lips.
- I love you too – Sue replied, and returned the kiss hugging the man, enjoying his touch.

Jack knew the right time has come… the moment which he was planning for years, and for which he had been waiting ever since his gaze first met that of the woman. He held the hand of his love, looked into the beautiful hazel eyes, and started what he had to say taking a deep breath, the words of which he was perfecting for so long.

- Sue… - the man started. – You are the woman whom I have been waiting for all my life. When you stormed into my office on that day, and our gazes first met, I immediately knew you are the One for me. – He looked deeply into the woman’s eyes. – I love you, Sue. More than anything – he said, then knelt before the woman in the sand.
- Sue Thomas, would you do me the honour of becoming my wife? – he asked the question he had been planning to do right from the very first day.

Sue found it hard to believe what she was seeing. The man of her dreams has just proposed to her… what she had been dreaming of every day for three years has become true at last. She looked into the beautiful brown eyes twinkling with love with tears in her eyes.
- Yes, yes, yes! – she exclaimed happily, joining her love on the ground, who was kissing her with tears streaming down his face, then slipped the engagement ring obtained at home on her finger.

- I love you, Sue – the man whispered, when they parted for a few seconds for some much needed air.
- I love you too, Jack – the woman smiled, and they united in another breathtaking kiss. In the meantime, the sun had set, covering their environment with marvellous colours, creating a perfect atmosphere for the couple in love, standing on the shore in each other’s arms.

Last post... Thanks for reading & for your comments.

By the time they got back to the house, it was completely dark, but for them, time had ceased… there were only the two of them. They entered the house holding hands, and saw that everyone had gathered together.
- I thought you got lost – Myles greeted them. – What took so long? – he asked, but the knowing look the couple changed with one another gave a clear reply to the question.
- We were just walking on the shore – Jack replied at last, and he didn’t say anything untrue by that, but he and Sue had decided not to tell the good news to the team immediately; they would rather wait how long it takes them to realize they had got engaged.

- And, how was the walk? – Tara asked curiously.
- Wonderful… - Sue replied daydreaming. – Feeling the roar of the sea, as we were walking barefoot in the sand… the sunset…
- And Jack, holding your hand… - Lucy continued smiling.
- Yes, especially Jack – Sue smiled, snuggling closer to the love of her life, who pressed a kiss on her forehead, while their friends were watching them smiling.

- Cookie is ready – Mrs. Williams stepped into the living room, with a dish in her hand. Tara gave everyone their plates and forks, then everyone took from the cookie. Jack sat down in an armchair, and Sue sat in his lap. The fact that they took a single plate and fork meant another proof for how much they love each other. Excluding the outer world, they only paid attention to each other, while Jack alternately ate from the cookie and tenderly placed the fork into his fiancée’s mouth.

- This is really delicious – Bobby stated, tasting the cookie.
- I believe for some of us the cookie isn’t the only thing which is delicious – Lucy smiled, giving the couple a meaningful look, who were still preoccupied with one another. Sue had just seen a piece of the cookie which remained on the face of her love, so she removed it with her tongue; and Jack, not being able to hold his desire back, passionately kissed his love.

- Mate, maybe you should wait with this until you get home… - Bobby grinned.
- But if we are disturbing, we can go out as well… you just have to tell us – Lucy smiled knowingly.
- That will be good, you are too young for this sight – Jack looked at them, for a moment getting out of the embrace of his love.
- In this case, try and don’t deprave the young, and continue this at home – Myles shook his head.
- Myles, what objections do you have against true love and happiness? – Lucy asked.
- Nothing in the world, but you shouldn’t do this right here… - the New Englander grumbled.
- You should really find a girlfriend… - Lucy gave him a piercing look, while the couple in love melted in another hot kiss, tenderly caressing each other.

- The cookie is indeed very good – Myles said appreciatively, and the others agreed. – Even in our circles – he added in his usual aristocratic manner.
- My mother will surely be glad about this – Tara replied. – Our simple little cookie lives up to the demands of aristocracy.
- But let’s leave this now – Lucy suggested. – We are here to celebrate the team, the happiness of all of us – she hugged her love.
- That’s right – Tara agreed. – This evening is for celebration.

Lucy snuggled happily to her fiancé’s arms, when something grabbed her attention. First she found it hard to believe this is really what she is thinking about, but when she looked at it again, she made sure that what she had wanted to achieve for years has become reality at last.
- Sue, what is sparkling on your finger? – she asked with a knowing smile. – Isn’t it…
- Why, what should it be? – Bobby said uncomprehendingly, understanding nothing from all this.
- Oh, you guys… - Lucy shook her head. – They got engaged! – she exclaimed happily, and ran over to her friend to congratulate her with a kiss.

Now it has become clear for the team as well that their friends are engaged, and congratulated the happy couple.
- And how did he propose to you? – Lucy asked her friend enthusiastically. – I want to hear every detail – she drew closer.
- On the seashore, at sunset… - Sue recalled daydreaming. – He embraced me, and we watched the sunset together… then he knelt down, and asked whether I would become his wife… and I immediately said yes – she remembered, while Jack softly kissed her cheek, continuously stroking the arms of his love.

- How romantic… - Tara smiled, who in the meantime also sat down beside the couple in love. – A real dream couple – she added, while her gaze met that of Bobby. As she looked at the man, she saw a strangle sparkle in his eyes; her heart started beating faster and she hoped again that her feelings for the man are mutual.

- Yes… After so many years, we got together at last and admitted our feelings to each other… - Jack drew his fiancée closer. – We’ll get married soon… and then we’ll never let each other go again – he smiled at the woman, and, oblivious to the presence of their friends, softly kissed his love.

The team looked at the couple in love smiling. We have waited for so long for them to admit their feelings to one another at last… and now they are here, engaged, and beaming of happiness. They were made for each other… real soul mates, who perfectly complete each other.

Two couples have now found true love among their friends, but the frequent glances Bobby and Tara were sharing suggested this number would soon rise to three.

Lucy embraced her fiancé smiling; she felt she has found true happiness at last. Sue was still sitting in Jack‘s lap… from their gazes and tender touches it was obvious even for an outsider how much they love each other. Whoever looked at the happy couples, their hearts were filled with warmth and the sight made them smile. Yes… They have indeed found true happiness.
