"yeah well Tara" he said gently his eyes looking straight into hers" I meant every word and you are worth everything to me tough guy reputation included...."
"it means alot that you say that that you say what you said in the letter" she smiled "your an amazing guy one of my best friends, great at your job, funny , drop dead gorgeous with a drool worthy smile and that accent aswell... I dont understand why any woman would ever leave you and certainly dont know why you have fallen for me but if you have well wow thats amazing and I love you back with all my heart " she grinned widely

"yeah I fell for you cos your beautiful funny talented and you care about people... and as for why people leave me well there are some reasons ... some thigs you need to know before we go any further at least then it will be over before it starts if you hate me for it."

"ok um right well you cant tell anyone this.... noone knows but Jack.... even Darcy didnt know....." he said despondetly and gravely
"Fine sweetheart if its important noone knows then noone will" she held his hand in hers
"I have a gambling problem... Im in recovery havent gambled at all since the cambling ring case when I fell down badly..... it had haooened a few years before I was in a huge amount of debt... maxed out cards no food no money for rent kinda thing... jack saved me paid off my debts got me into GA ... Im still paying him back.... and yes I have slipped once and could slip again... im a failure .a waste of space .. you have a right to know before we get to deep before you cant leave me." he sighed unable to look at her she placed her hand against his cheek wiping the tears that esaped his eyes with her fingers.
"Bobby sweetheart I love you and you cant change that.... you mean more to me than anything... thank you for being honest with me but I dont care it doesnt matter ... Im here for you if you need my support,ok I love you .... I always will" she placed a gentle kiss against his lips and pulled him into a hug cradling his head as tears streaked his cheeks

Beautiful and heart wrenching. I knew Tara wouldn't run as soon as he told her.

It had to take a lot of courage for Bobby to tell Tara about his gambling problem!! She reacted the way I was sure she would!!!

"thank you Tara for understanding... now we know how we feel we have to explore this and what it means for us" he said stroking her hair as they stayed cuddled up to each other
"well I know how I feel and I want us to be together whatever sacrifices that means making but I also know that this is the most special relationship I have ever been in and I dont want to damage it by moving to fast we need to be careful..." she said pulling back

"your right as always little miss cleverclogs..... we need to get some sleep and then be up to speak to D at 8 am tomorrow so I'll leave you to rest... night angel " he said gently kissing her hair and leaving before he could no longer do so.

I agree that going slow would be a good idea right about now. I have a feeling that D is going to be thrilled with the news.

as the last post was so short here is a little more

In there seperate rooms they lay in bed awake minds racing with memories of there words and kisses they had shared and hope for the future.

Tara drifted off to sleep her mid taking her as it had many times before to Regency England and Pemberly but this time instead of a blurry image of vague good looks for Mr Darcy he was tall handsome and Australian whilst Lizzy Bennet was petete with light couloured hair as the dream ad story progressed and they shared their first kiss Tara sighed with happiness in her sleep as she knew she had at last found her Mr Darcy.

I only hope that I could find my Mr. Darcy too!

ok this was only very short story but was to explore emotions etc

EPILOGUE- 15 years later

Tara walked into the room and handed a book to her 13 year old daughter who was curled up on the bed wrapped in her duvet hot drink and tissues surrounding her.
"here you go Beth... for you..... Pride and Prejudice it's a good book and your very bright you'll enjoy it."
"Thanks mom is this the book that got you and daddy together...." she smiled knowing the story well
"yes it is and the exact copy.... read it enjoy it and use Mr Darcy as your measure of the perfect guy when your old enough.... your dad held up to that measure and still does even today..."
"ok thanks mom... I'll curl up see if I feel better I hate missing school"
"just like me rest well angel" Tara smiled and slipped out the door and into her husbands arms

"hello luv... our little Lizzy ok" Bobby smiled down at her
"yes Lizzy or Beth as she now prefers to be called is fine feeling a bit mushy cos of the cold but shes a lot better... I gave her our book.."
"you did ... she'll like it."
"I hope so ... were the boys behaving for Jack and Sue?"
"yes they were They are now in bed......I just find it hard to believe that our Baby boy is now 7.... I still cant get my head round the fact that i have three children" he grinned as they sat on the sofa.
"you have had for seven years.. get over it!" Tara laughed pulling out the family scrap books and placing them on her lap
"care to look at some memories Bobby"
"of my life with you ... always" he smiled and kissed her gently

They opened the book and saw the first photo of there eldest girl in Tara's arms Bobby next to them smiling widely, Troy had taken the photo... under it was a photocopy of the birth anouncement.

"can you remember Myles reaction when we told them all her name.... he thought we were naming her after your ex.... he was so confused till Sue explained...." Tara giggled turning the page to show the family three years on with Bobby herself Elizabeth and her new baby brother.

"Pops was so proud to have a grandson with Andrew as a middle name.... he was chuffed about Lizzy but a boy is different" Bobby smiled

He gave her a gentle kiss then leaned and turned the page himself
The picture displayed the full family as it had been when their third child had arrived 7 years ago.

"yeah i know you know we all do we still miss him though the banter is'nt the same

Wonderful ending, Carrijackfan!! I love that you showed us where they were in 15 years!! Three children - with Bobby and Tara as parents I bet they have been a handful!! I love the names - very nice that they named them after some of the team!!!

I love the idea of Bobby being Tara's Mr. Darcy. This was a fun read -- and I like the way you came full circle with Tara introducing her daughter to Mr. Darcy!

Epilogues are so bittersweet! But it's wonderful to take a trip down memory lane with the characters. Nicely done, carrijackfan! Wonderfully creative!
