Tara appeared after a warm shower dressed in black jeans and a purple three quarter length sleeved top to see bobby Hunched over his coffee mug at the table fighting back tears.
She paused and stepped to the counter and picked up her own cup of coffee and sipped it before going and sitting next to him.
"Your doing ok Bobby ... your doing your job your keeping me safe and you cheered me up and this coffee tastes good." She said gently reminding him of the positives in his life.
"Yeah I know Im good at my job but I want more Tara I want someone who loves me ... properly not just for my job title and the excitement it brings or who likes me because I look good and they can make there friends jealous I want someone to look beneath the Special agent , beneath my skin someone who sees me as Bobby!" he said emotion filling his voice
"It sucks doesnt it they either find your job impressive or see it as a barrier rejection hurts alot but as Sue told me a few years back remember God and your friends wont reject you no matter what and they love you... itrs true it gets you through alot of pain."

Bobby is right. Your true friends will love you no matter what. I think its time Bobby took his friendship with Tara to a whole new level.

I think there's a friend standing closer to you than you think, Bobby!!!

"Both you and Sue are very wise women Tara..... and thanks... I'll take a quick shower then join you just sit and read your book for a bit ok" He smiled at her and headed for a shower and to collect his thoughts.

She was so beautiful, so clever, so wise and so caring and he was head over heels in love with her, single and in her presence for the next week ... he had the motive and the opportunity but what was he going to do with those things? that was the big question and the one he couldnt find the answer to loved her with all his heart yet didnt know what to say to her or if to say anything? He wrapped a towel round his waist as he stepped out of the shower and dried and dressed


Tara sat curled on the sofa her mind swirling between Regency dresses proposals and the sickening superiority of Caroline Bingley and her own problems and the man she loved whose mind and heart seemed so full of sadness and despair.
The man came as close to fuffilling every girrls dream as anyone could without being Mr Darcy or Johnny Depp. Tall handsome clever strong witty with a smile and an accent that could buckle your knees and a caring tender nature on top of it all. She sighed he was crushed co his girlfriend had dumped him for someone else and he had never truly gotten over Darcy she had to focus and be a friend and leve it as that more would be cruel to them both.

She would just dream of the man who was more attainable and she was more like ly to date, the perfect unattainable man in every well read young womans life. Rich clever witty and down right gorgeous Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy had it all

Bobby and Tara definitely need to talk to one another!! They are really on the same page!!!

Tara is so wrong here! Joy is right, Tara and Bobby need to talk and then Tara will realize she is all wrong and her "Mr. Darcy" is right there in front of her nose.

Bobby said softly as he reentered the room to see her curled in a peaceful ball on the sofa her nose and mind deep in her book.
He smiled knowing her love of them and this one in particular.
She heard his voice and looked up into his smiling sparkling eyes.
"Enjoying your book" he smiled as she sat up fully and ran her fingers through her hair
"yeah I love it to bits and work is so busy I dont get enough time to curl up in my PJs with a cup of tea and a book"she pulled on shoes and did the laces as they talked.
Bobbys mind jolted as he forced himself to block the dreams that those images caused to flicker deep within his soul of one day being part of that picture of holding her and snuggling down together to read... Peace tranquility and love... but none would ever happen... women liked him but never for the right reason and never the women he truly loved and desired never the ones he could see being MRS Robert Manning or the mother of his children.
His heart and mind jolted at that thought , the thought of a shared future and a shared family with Tara but to work and away from distraction.

like Jack...I just want to pummel that hard muscular chest of yours and melt into oblivion...oh, no...wait that's Tara's line....you hear that Tara? Carri....why are you squelching those thoughts....we need one of them to voice them...that's all, just one. Once one of them voices their love, the other will fall, like dominoes. One little tiny touch to start them falling into that inevitable wrapped-in-each-others-arms conclusion!

"we going to go have breakfast then mr mcintyre" she sniled offering her hand to him to help her up
"Sounds like a plan and when have I ever turned down food to your knowledge"
"never but it doesnt look like it" she smiled as they walked down the corridor and she brushed her hand against his shirt and his hard muscked stomach that noone would ever believe was that of someone who ate at slappys and lived off takeout.
"I work out" he grinned his arm holding her against his side.
"I know you do sweetie.... " she smiled at him " I've been there.... by the way do you know Marie and Sam's address or do I need to text Marie and ask...."
"I know the address but You'll need to look at the map when we get in the car... I dont want us to get lost but well you know me and maps." he chuckled looking into her eyes as they sparkled with laughter
"I do indeed darling I do indeed"

Hmmm....can I join Mr. and Mrs. McIntyre for breakfast? I promise to behave myself and not swoon all over Bobby!

Playing a couple, Bobby and Tara can pretty much say what they feel under the guise of undercover!!!

They sat peaacefully eating there breakfast stealing hidden glances at one another smiling across the table, which they were sharing with another couple who they had chatterred to intermittently.
"We need to head off soon it will take a while to get to Sam and Marie's .... can't believe they have a little baby seems not so long ago we were all young free and single." Bobby smiled at her
"more than five years Sam and Marie got enagaged five years ago next month... I remember because thats when we met" she smiled at him taking his hand
"How lovely so you met at there engagement party did you??" the woman asked
"yes Marie was my best friend and Sam is Bobby's but we somehow didnt meet till the engagement party.... and well it was love at first talk" Tara smiled her eyes full of happiness and genuine love for the man beside her.
Bobby beamed back the love reflected in his own eyes.

How wonderful they can freely express how they feel. And hopefully, by the end of the case they can reveal to each other that they were not acting!

Now, do they suspect this other couple? Is that why they were so vocal with their feelings?

I hope after all is said and done....things will be OK with them and they will tell each other that it wasn't acting.

A while later in the car.

"Bobby! you should have turned back there I told you that!!" Tara yelled as they missed their turning for th nth time that trip.
"but its not that way Its this" Bobby growled
" I have a map and unlike you I can read it we go down there then left.... come on Sam and Marie will be worried" she smiled trying to stay in role so she remembered
"Ok we'll go down there dearest, but im sure its this way" Bobby said sarcastically.
"If Im wrong I'll apologised but Im not so its fine" Tara snapped back

They sat in stoney silence for a short while but She was right and they were sooon stopped outside the house.
The silence continued only to be broken by a volley of barks from a hyperactive Levi bounding towards the car.
"Hey Levi...." Bobby smiled at the dog then glanced to the door which was merely left ajar for them Jack and Sue or Sam and Marie as he needed to remember to call them leaving them in peace.

He stepped round the car to help Tara out
"Look Tara... Im sorry for being rude... I shouldnt have been that was wrong of me.... I apologise ok" he gave a tentative smile
"Its ok and Im sorry for yelling at you... sleep deprivation makes me grouchy" she looked up into his face
"I'll have to remember that.... now shall we share an Im sorry kiss we are married after all" he smiled at her though semi regretted saying it as he knew his heart was now entangled dangerously beyond retreat.
"of course " Tara gulped tilting her face to look at him properly.
He brushed a hand over her hair and held it at the back of her neck as he leant down and brushed his lips gently against hers she stretched up kissing him back and the kiss became deeper and though there minds may not wish to admit it there hearts were fully into the kiss and the moment , that was before Jacks voice broke the moment.
"oy Bobby you gonna stand there kissing the Mrs all day or are you going to come see your God daughter" He called out and they looked up flushed and smiling.

What a way of talking!!!

Tere....I think Jack was going along with the "back" story Bobby created for him and Tara. As a married couple their "friends", Sam and Marie have just had their first baby, a little girl called Hope. It was early on, in Carrie's 2nd, 3rd or 4th post; can't remember exactly which one.

Now I wonder if Tara thought Bobby's kiss was as good as Mr. Darcy's!

"Im going to update you guys on the case then we are going to hang out I have the long version of Pride and prejudice, the guys can join us or go play computer games" Sue smiled
"sounds great fun what are you guys going to do then ?"

"We'll join you for a while if it gets to much we'll go play games" Bobby smiled as Sue set up the DVD and the two couples seperated to the sofa's and sat

"It is a truth universally acknowledged..." Elizabeth Benett and the girls relaxed curling up against the sofa arms to enjoy themselves,

The girls did a good job getting the guys to watch Pride and Prejudice with them!!!

I think cuddling the women is a good enough lure to keep Bobby and Jack by their sides for the duration of the movie.

I love Pride and Prejudice, but the one shown on PBS years ago. I've tried to find it in video rental stores and haven't been able to. I can't remember who the stars were; but, in my book, it was much better than the later version or versions.

Agree with Kav, a little suggling will go a long way in keeping the guys away from video games.

By the way, I have the 2005 movie version, the BBC mini-series and the book, and I agree with Lynn, the book is by much, better than the movies and they're really good!

Even snuggling with the woman he loves, wouldn't lure most men to watch the whole thing. Maybe it's a test. If they do, they get a prize.

Its the BBC mini series rthey are watching the new film doesnt do it justice.

An hour or so in and both couples had subconciously migrated to the centre of there respective sofa's.Sue was snuggled in close to jack her head against his chest and his arms around her waist.
Tara was curled in her head agaomst his shoulder his arms around her shoulders sharing love and warmth yet in such a weay tha5 they were both psycyholoically claiming it was friendship because the earlier kiss had been for show..... hadnt it.

They both sat watching and to Bobbys surprise enjoying the film and switched ther minds off from the turmoil of there own lives and focussed only on the complex lives of the Miss Bennets

Good for the guys getting into the movie!! Of course, I'm sure the snuggling helped a lot!!!

The film finished many hours later and thr girls sighed happily, getting up to head off.

"That was so perfect I wish I could find my Mr Darcy... Im only able to get wickhams" Tara sighed
"theres a special someone for everyone you'll find yours eventually Tara" Sue smiled
" You already found yours" Tara signed giggling.
Sue smiled and nodded signing to Tara as she slipped on her Jacket
"If I believed in luck I'd say I was lucky but I dont so all I can say is that I have a gracious and loving God."

"we need to head off now Tara luv" Bobby said from behind them
"ok Im coming im coming" she sighed rolling her eyes and mouthing MEN! to sue.
"old married couple!?" Jack signed to sue who laughed and nodded vigourously stepping into his arms on the doorstep as the couple drove off .

I'll have to try that trick the next time I want to watch a romantic movie with my hubby. Thanks for the tip Tara and Sue.

Tara was curled in her room reading whilst bobby was sat in the lounge writing something he folded the paperscrawled something on the front of the folded sheets.

He then headed into his own room and grabbed his sports bag before tapping on Tara's door and heading in.

"hey Tara... you ok" he smiled sitting on the bed beside her as she looked up from her book
"yeah Im good thanks bit wiped from the long day thats all"
"good um not that your wiped well you know what I mean " he said
"yes I do I've worked with you all long enough to understand you and I ramble aswell so its fine"
"yes anyway I came to say Im heading down to the Gym ... SOG are next door I have my cell and my room card so rest up and I'll see you later" he said standing up to leave and leaving the note he had written on the bed.

What does the note say? Huh huh what does it say????!!!!????

I had a lovely day spent with you Jack and Sue today , I surprised myself by really enjoying the DVD, you have great taste though there was no action so less my thing.....

In vain I have stuggled It will not do you must allown me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.

There I wrote it though whether I give you this or not Im not sure.
Its True and my struggles are not like Darcy's ones of difference but of my failings and insecurities , do you care why would you and all the failings of my past ... I admire you so much your extremely clever talented you make me smile and your beautiful..... my dream woman yet I've never said a word scared of rejection I always have been since mac left no matter what Mom and later dad said I always mblamed myself and after Darcy left me it hurt even more then more recently .,... its been hard.
However thats enough moaning Im not good enough for you I never could be but I love you and this past few days being with you and pretending to be your husband has been an amazing privelege.
The kisses and hugs may have been for show but the emotion within the

Tara's eyes began to skim thge page but then returned to the begining and began to drink in every word as she realised whatr the letter was. She smiled her face tinged with pink as she read his deep emotions poured out on the page and saw through it the deepest feelings of his heart.

She finished and smiled widely holding the letter to her heart before stepping into her shoes and grabbing her cell and room card She tapped on the door to tell SOG where she was headed before running down three flights of stairs to the Gym she tore in and Bobby who was there alone looked startled then scared.

"are you ok is everything all right has something happened" he panicked
"Everything is perfect... I read the note Bobby and your past doesnt bother me we all have one and well I love you too have done for yearts even when I was with Stan but you were unobbtainable Mr tall and gorgeous I was geeky little Tara and well ..." she rambled before Bobby bent down and placed his lips on hers cutting of the flow of speech with a gentle kiss
