Gotta have a mistletoe moment!
Oh... and Lynn... it was Santa Who? ... It has Ted Atherton in it actually... Great show and I'd never seen it before this year either. And the placement of the letters in the fire is actually Scandinavian in culture... they believe that the smoke from the fire gets the letters to Santa quicker.
***********************************************************************“Yes!” Midge crowed and bounced excitedly as Bobby and Tara continued to kiss… his hands reaching to tangle in her hair as he deepened the kiss. They could hear the soft moan that escaped Tara as she gave in to the pressure of his lips and probing tongue. “Are the other two kissing yet?” She stretched up on tiptoe, trying to see Jack and Sue in the corner of the looking glass.
“Yes.” Maggie confirmed for her. “Sue wrapped her arms around him and he finally met her halfway to kiss her.” She smiled as Midge practically skipped across the office to dance a happy jig. “Look Nick…” She pointed at Levi. The dog was practically smiling, watching his mistress kiss the love of her life. “I’d say that everyone is happy this year… don’t forget Levi’s bone though when you go there this year. Poor thing… he really deserves it.”
Nick smiled. “Yes, he does.” He nodded. “Now, Mrs. Claus…. What can I get for you this year?” He asked, nuzzling the hollow behind her ear and pressing a kiss there.
Maggie giggled. “You’ll be busy on Christmas eve.” She murmured, shifting in his arms, letting the team in the bullpen enjoy the holiday magic of their own making. “But can we go to Jamaica this year after Christmas? Montego Bay is a lovely spot to visit. I believe I deserve a pina colada or two.” She smiled, raising her face to study his.
“Montego Bay is lovely this time of year… not hurricane season… bluest waters you’ve ever laid eyes on.” Nick smiled. “As you wish, my sweet. Pack the bags, we’ll leave for Jamaica as soon as I wake up on Christmas Day.”
Maggie pressed her lips to his, kissing him sweetly before she managed to extricate herself from his arms and head back to the kitchen. “I’m just as delighted as you, Midge honey.” She said when the tiny elf tried to get her to dance with her. “But I really must be getting back to the cookies. I’ll send over some ginger cookies for you.”
“Great job boss.” Midge said, dancing closer to Nick. “Looks to me as though they’re happy.” She paused in her jig to peer into the looking glass again. “The others will soon follow.” She said, seeing that Myles had just signed his name with a flourish to a letter and D was on the phone with his cousin. Lucy was just sitting at her desk, looking up as Jack and Sue still kissed under their mistletoe and Bobby and Tara were still clutched in a similar embrace. “Whoops… you might need to leave a little note for Bobby about appropriate hand placement during a mistletoe kiss. He’s in direct violation of bullet point 75...” Midge said, tapping on the glass where his hands had landed on Tara’s rear. “Oh…” Her eyes grew wide. “And now she’s in violation of bullet point 99...” The tiny little elf’s cheeks flushed a brilliant shade of fuchsia. “Guess she doesn’t mind his violation of number 75...” She murmured, her eyes wide as she watched the continuing kiss between Bobby and Tara… Tara’s leg wrapped around the back of one of Bobby’s legs as he held her as close as he possibly could. "I had no idea that you could stay balanced for so long in that position..." She mumbled in astonishment.
Nick chuckled and waved his hand, making the looking glass go away. “Let them have their magic in peace.” He said, meeting the glare that Midge was shooting at him. “They’re not a soap opera to be watched. Don’t you have work to do? I know that Smidge and Wisp are needed back at their usual stations.” He raised an eyebrow at her.
Midge huffed a sigh. “Fine Boss… I’ll get back to work.” She rolled her eyes as she headed out to her desk, shaking her head as he continued to laugh at her retreating back.
