Sue stepped into her apartment daydreaming, and leant against the door sighing, closing her eyes, recalling the events of the past minutes. The man of my dreams held my hand, and tomorrow we’ll have dinner together… She still found it hard to believe that what she had been dreaming about for three years, now is coming true. She didn’t realize that in the meantime her best friend got home, and now she is watching her smiling.

- I see you had a great evening – said Lucy finally, with a knowing smile.
- Hi… I didn’t see you’ve arrived – replied Sue, getting back from her dreams to reality. – Yes, it was really kind of Jack to take me home… How is your grandmother? – she tried to change the subject.

- She’s fine, but don’t digress from the subject… so, what exactly happened? – grinned Lucy, and Sue sighed; if her friend really wants to know something, she won’t rest until she reaches her goal.
- We’ll have dinner together tomorrow – she said at last, and her flatmate grinned.

- I knew he will once ask you out on a date – she started jumping enthusiastically. – At last, it was about time after three years.
- This is not a date – objected Sue quickly, secretly wishing it was one.
- Now you say this, but tomorrow anything can happen – winked Lucy at her, and the woman blushed. How many years has she waited for their relationship to progress… and tomorrow they will maybe make the first step towards that.

- I’m tired, I’m going to sleep – Sue headed towards her room, trying to avoid the further unpleasant questions.
- Well OK, but tomorrow you won’t get away without telling me all the details – smiled her friend, and Sue knew she would ask her until she has found out the last detail, as soon as she enters the apartment after the common dinner.

But now she went to sleep full of expectations… hardly being able to wait for tomorrow when she can spend the evening with her love.

I like the idea of of her going to sleep full of expectations. It's such a sweet thought.

The next day passed incredibly slowly; they were both waiting for the end of the working hours, when they can spend the evening together. Lucy watched the couple in love smiling, as they send secret glances to each other from their desks, believing no one sees them; but nothing could remain a secret before the best matchmaker in the city.

They were all happy when they finished the paperwork of their last case, and put down the files with a relieved sigh. Since they didn’t have a new case, most of their working time was spent in boredom, and only the usual teasing of each other brought some cheerfulness into the bullpen.

- At last – reflected Jack the thoughts of the whole team. – Paperwork is over, now the next case can come.
- But I hope we can have a proper rest until then… - Bobby stretched his arms. – This case has completely exhausted me.
- As most of us – agreed Jack. – So now everyone have a rest, because tomorrow we have to start work and defend our country with new strength.

- OK… See you tomorrow – stretched Bobby his arm for his coat, heading home.
- And I hope the two of you will have a pleasant evening – smiled Lucy knowingly at the couple in love.

- You’ll spend the evening together? – asked the Australian surprised.
- Of course, Sue and Jack are having a date today – smiled the rotor.
- This isn’t a date! – objected Sue.
- We are just having dinner together – joined Jack.

- You invited her to have dinner together, not long before Valentine’s Day, sure this isn’t a date… - his best friend shook his head.
- OK, we don’t have time for this – tried Jack to end the conversation. – We are very good friends, and as such, we are having dinner together – he looked at the woman, and would have liked nothing more than if their today’s meeting was indeed a date. But maybe everything will change soon. – I’ll go over to you at seven – he smiled at his love, who returned the glance with a heavily beating heart.

The team was watching the couple smiling. However they deny it, it is obvious they are deeply in love with each other… and hopefully tonight they will both realize this, and admit at last what they feel for one another.

Catching up on two lovely posts. You are capturing the spirit of the show perfectly, Averil, as they are slowly coming to the realization that maybe their love is returned after all. Their embarrassment at being caught looking at each other, their thoughts so focused on the other (which we saw rather than heard.) I don’t have a proper dress… And Jack will be here soon! – Sue’s desperation kept increasing, as she tried to find the most suitable dress standing in front of her wardrobe, but as soon as she had tried on one, she immediately took it off, thus the pile of clothes kept growing on the bed.

- Don’t worry, you’ll be perfect – smiled Lucy, happy her friend considers this date so important.
- But what if he won’t like me? – asked Sue in a state close to crying, and Lucy’s laughing eyes only increased her nervousness.

- That he doesn’t like you? – her flatmate looked at her surprised. – He would be crazy about you even if you didn’t wear anything – she added, and Sue’s face turned fiery red when different pictures overwhelmed her brain with her and her love in the centre. – So I just wanted to tell you not to worry, Jack will like you anyway – she reassured her.

- But I don’t have a single proper dress… - the woman gave another desperate glance to the clothes on the bed. – I can’t go on a date like this… I mean I can’t meet Jack like this – she quickly corrected herself, but it couldn’t avoid the attention of the best matchmaker in the city how much her best friend got embarrassed at her own statement.

- Just calm down, everything will be OK – smiled Lucy, taking a beautiful blue dress. – You’ll wear this one tonight; Jack will surely stop breathing when he sees you.
- But Lucy… - said her friend unsurely. –The neckline of this dress is a little deep…
- This is just the aim – her friend smiled. – Jack will surely be unable to utter a single meaningful word – she added knowingly.

- But… - Sue wanted to object, but Lucy pointed towards the door. – Bell… It must be Jack – she said, and went to let the man in; and Sue started putting on the dress sighing, thinking of her friend’s previous words.

- Hi – greeted Lucy the entering man. – Cinderella will be here in a moment – she added, stating smiling that Jack brought beautiful flowers for her friend. A real gentleman – she smiled.
- Great, then I’ll wait for her – replied the man. – Certainly… - he would have started the next sentence, but his words immediately stopped when seeing the love of his life approaching in the blue dress emphasising her perfect figure. Their gazes locked, and they were just looking at each other for long seconds.

- Hi – found Jack his voice at last. – This is yours – he gave her the flowers.
- Hi – smiled the woman. – Thank you, they are beautiful – she took the bouquet.
- But by far not as beautiful as you – the man looked into her eyes, and Sue blushed in embarrassment.

- I’ll put them into water, just go – Lucy took the flowers over. – Have a good time – she smiled at the couple in love. – But I think you’ll have a wonderful evening anyway – she added knowingly.
- OK – said Sue hurriedly. – And thank you for taking care of Levi; I’ll be at home in a few hours.

- Don’t hurry – smiled Lucy, making her friend blush again. – Have a pleasant evening, and then I want to hear everything – she added with a knowing glance, and Sue knew she cannot go to sleep until she has given an account about the events of the evening until the last detail.

They walked to the restaurant silently; they both got absorbed in their own thoughts. A few days ago it seemed unimaginable for them to date, and now they are here in a restaurant together… because however much they tried to deny it, they both knew this is a date.

Jack politely drew the chair out for Sue, then sat down opposite her love. They hardly remembered when they placed their order… they were sitting there silently, immersed in each other.

Finally, the man came to a decision. If she didn’t pull away last time, hopefully she won’t do that now either… - he recalled yesterday evening, than with a tender move, he placed his hand on that of the woman. Sue trembled, but didn’t drew her hand away… they sat like this during the whole dinner, holding each other’s hand, completely forgetting about the outer world.

Suddenly Jack recognized a familiar song. He smiled when recalling the evening from two years ago, when they were dancing to the same song, accompanied by the smiling looks of their friends. Our song – he remembered what he said on that evening.

He stood up from the table, and stretched his arm to the woman, asking her to dance. – This is our song – he smiled at his love.
- Remember I can’t hear the music, and therefore I can’t take responsibility if I accidentally step on your foot? – asked Sue playfully.
- I can only repeat myself, I’ll take on the responsibility – smiled Jack, helping the woman stand up, then getting to the dance floor, they both got immersed in the rhythm of the music. Although Sue couldn’t hear the music, she felt the vibration, and felt perfectly secure in Jack’s arms.

They were dancing all evening in each other’s arms, not noticing the passing of time. Sue knew that her friend will ask for an explanation about the causes of getting home late, as if the account of the details of the date wouldn’t be enough, but now she felt great in the man’s company and wished the evening never to end.

They headed home reluctantly, deciding they will definitely repeat this evening. Walking beside each other on the street, Jack held the hand of his love again, gently stroking it; and Sue got absorbed in the feelings evoked by the man’s touch with her breathing held back, still not daring to look at him.

Getting to the girls’ apartment, Jack still didn’t want to let the hand of his love go, it was so good to feel her close to him. If only we could be together every evening, and go home together in our common home… - his thoughts were overwhelmed by pictures in which Sue is his wife, and they never separate from each other… And he came to a decision. I love her, and she has to know this as well – he looked deeply into the woman’s eyes, as his lips slowly approached hers. Sue was surprised by the man’s act, but didn’t pull away… she instinctively closed her eyes, and when their lips touched, she returned the man’s kiss happily.

After that they were just standing silently, pressing their foreheads to each other, trying to comprehend everything which had happened in the past minutes. They both felt that their relationship is more than friendship… that they have started walking towards their common life.

- Are we having dinner together tomorrow? – said Jack at last. – I’m cooking – he added.
- I would be glad about that… I can’t wait to taste what you’ve cooked – smiled the woman, trying to gather her thoughts.
- OK… I promise this will be the most delicious dinner of your life so far – the man returned the smile, determined that tomorrow evening everything will be perfect. The most important evening of my life… When I admit her at last that I love her, and she is the woman with whom I want to spend the rest of my life.

Dancing the night away in Jack's arms. *blissful sigh* Yeah, that sounds like the perfect date to me!!

Sue didn’t realize when she got to the apartment… she could only think of tonight’s date and the kiss, which still made her shiver.

Getting into the flat, she leant against the door sighing, and putting her hand on her lips, closing her eyes, she re-lived every moment of the kiss. She hoped that Lucy still doesn’t want to know every detail about the evening immediately, and went to sleep because of the late time, but all her hopes were gone when her friend appeared smiling; and Sue knew it will take a long time until she gets rid of all her questions.

- I see the date was really good – smiled Lucy at her friend, then headed towards the living room, preparing for a long conversation, involving all details.
- Wonderful – replied Sue daydreaming, thinking it better to tell everything. – He took me into a beautiful restaurant, held my hand all the way, and we danced all evening… - she recalled every moment of the date.

- Did he kiss you? – asked Lucy with sparkling eyes.
- He kissed me… - her friend repeated with a dreamy look, recalling these magical few minutes for the umpteenth time during the evening.

- And, what was it like? – asked Lucy excitedly.
- Like a dream… - smiled Sue. – Just as if I was walking above the ground… and if there wasn’t anyone else in the world, just the two of us.

- Are you meeting tomorrow? – asked her friend, but she knew the answer… now that they got closer to each other, the couple in love wouldn’t miss a single occasion to be together.
- Yes… tomorrow we are having dinner together – replied Sue. – And he will cook… - she added smiling.

- Jack will be cooking for you? – asked Lucy wondering. – I hope you know you are really important to him… He has never done such a thing for any woman.
- He is very important to me too… - admitted the woman. – And I can’t wait for tomorrow evening… - she got absorbed again in her thoughts about her love.

- Then you should rather go to sleep, and dream about your prince – smiled Lucy. – I have the feeling that tomorrow will be the most important day of your life so far – she stood up from the couch, so that she could go to bed as well.
- I hope that too – replied Sue. – The most beautiful day of my life, beside the knight of my dreams… - she started daydreaming again, then going to bed, she fell asleep with her love in her thoughts.

Sue stood before the mirror excited, looking at her dress, which her love will hopefully be charmed about. Tonight she’ll meet again the man she loves… she felt she was looking forward some wonderful hours.

Lucy watched her friend from the door smiling. Happiness has found her at last… and she will have a wonderful life beside Jack.

- Are you ready? – she asked, stepping beside the woman, and Sue nodded smiling. – You look absolutely wonderful – she smiled back, admiring her friend’s dress.
- Thank you… - replied Sue. – But I’m going now; I would like to be at his place as soon as possible – she added, and couldn’t wait to be with her love again.

- Have a great time – Lucy said. – And don’t hurry home – she added smiling; Sue blushed, but she was waiting for the evening date too much to start to object. Instead, she headed towards the door, so that she could be at her love as soon as possible. Lucy was just watching her… she knew her friend will spend a great evening in the company of the beloved man.

Sue took a deep breath before pressing the doorbell. Jack opened the door immediately; he had obviously been waiting impatiently for the date as well.
- Hi – he pulled his love close to him, pressing a light kiss on her lips. – I missed you…
- Hi… I missed you a lot too – whispered the woman between two kisses.

- Come in – Jack held her hand, leading her to the living-room. Sue’s breathing stopped from the sight before her. On the beautifully laid table the man placed candles and roses, creating a really romantic atmosphere in the room.

- This is beautiful – she said at last.
- But not as much as you – the man embraced her, kissing her again. – Lady, take a seat, dinner is ready immediately – he led her to the table, then pulled the chair out for her, so that she could sit down. – I’ll be here soon – he said, then headed towards the kitchen, and a few minutes later he returned with a dish in his hands. They both took from the food, then ate it silently, their gazes never leaving each other.

After dinner Jack went out of the room for a few minutes again, then Sue felt familiar vibrations nearby.
- What’s this? – she looked at the man.
- Romantic songs – smiled Jack. – I know you love them – he added, hugging his love tighter. Sue snuggled close to him, put her head on his shoulders, and started dancing to the beating of their hearts, while the man of her dreams was holding her in his arms.

They were dancing in each other’s embrace, feeling the nearness of their love, wishing this wonderful evening to last forever.
- Sue – said Jack suddenly, parting from the woman only as much for her to see what he is saying. – It took so long until I realized this, and I tried to fight against my feelings, but I just couldn’t… this is much stronger than me. I love you… more than anything – he looked deeply into the woman’s eyes.

Tears welled in Sue’s eyes, while reading the man’s words. It seemed incredible for her that what she thought a week ago as impossible, now is becoming reality.
- I love you too – she smiled at the man. – I love you – she repeated, until the man’s kiss silenced her.

They spent the next hours in each other’s arms, happy from the thought that after such a long time they have admitted their feelings towards one another at last and now they are a couple; wishing to spend every remaining day of their lives in the embrace of their love.

Sue didn’t remember when she got home last night… her thoughts were filled by her love and the beautiful hours spent in his arms. She was walking in the apartment daydreaming, hardly noticing her best friend, who stated smiling that her matchmaker activity was a huge success.

- I believe I don’t have to ask what yesterday evening was like; it’s radiating from your face that you had a great time – she tried to initiate a conversation, smiling at her friend.
- Wonderful… - replied Sue, still daydreaming. – The candles and roses on the table… the dinner… the dance… that kiss… and that confession of love… - she recalled every detail of the date on the evening before.

- Did he tell you he loves you? – drew Lucy closer to her friend excitedly. – Jack told you at last he is in love with you?
- Yes… - smiled Sue, replaying the man’s words in her thoughts, about which she had been dreaming for so long. – And then he took me into his arms, tenderly stroked me, and we were laying in each other’s embrace for long hours… - she recalled the most beautiful evening of her life so far.

- I’m so happy you got together at last – her friend smiled back. – We all have been waiting for this for three years, and that you confessed your love for one another right on the eve of Valentine’s Day… this is so romantic – she sighed.

- It is indeed… - agreed Sue, and started feeling like the heroine of a romantic novel, who had just found the prince of her dreams.
- Bell – Lucy’s signing interrupted her. – I’ll go and see who it is – she stood up from the couch, and headed towards the entrance. Soon she returned back smiling, with a surprise guest by her side.

- Jack! – exclaimed Sue surprised. – I didn’t expect you to come so early…
- I terribly missed you, and I couldn’t wait any more… - the man took her into his arms, kissing his love passionately. – I was dreaming about you all night, I could hardly wait for the morning… I would have loved the most to come over in the middle of the night, to feel you in my arms again – he kissed her again.

- I missed you a lot too – Sue returned the kiss, snuggling into the arms of her sweetheart.
- I believe there is no need for me here – said Lucy, stating contentedly that the hardest activity of her career as a matchmaker was more effective than previously expected. She headed towards her room, but the outer world stopped existing for the couple in love… only the two of them existed.

- Come with me… I have a surprise for you – held Jack suddenly the woman’s hand.
- Surprise? What is it? – asked Sue excitedly.
- Everything will turn out in its right time – smiled the man mysteriously. – Now just come with me.

Sue felt that one of the most wonderful experiences of her life is awaiting her, regardless of what the man planned. She smiled, and followed him; and Jack was thinking happily that his love will soon have the most beautiful Valentine’s Day surprise she has ever had.

Sue followed the man excitedly; she perfectly trusted him, and knew that a wonderful surprise was waiting for her. Soon she found themselves at a familiar place, and read the notice before her surprised.
- Airport? – she looked questioningly at Jack, but he was just smiling mysteriously. – But I didn’t even say goodbye to Lucy… - she suddenly realized.
- Don’t worry, Lucy knows about everything, and it won’t last for long – Jack calmed her, heading towards the airplane.

Soon they were flying above the clouds, and Sue’s curiosity kept increasing. Where can we be going if we can only get there in a short time by an airplane? – she mused, snuggling closer to her love, feeling the tender stroking of the man.

The plane landed shortly, and Sue stepped out into the sunlight with growing excitement, holding the hand of her sweetheart. The man led her to a car waiting for them, getting to the back seat, then indicated the driver that he can go. He embraced the woman, and she placed her head on his shoulders, while they were approaching their destination, feeling the soft touches of each other.

The car stopped in a short time, and Jack offered his hand to the woman, helping her out of the vehicle. Sue looked round, trying to determine where they are… and her heart started beating faster when she realized where her love had brought her. The Florida seashore… the place where I’ve always wanted to come. And now Jack gave this to me… - she smiled, then her attention was grabbed by the picture before her… and she was amazed by the sight.

The shore was filled by roses, with a table standing in the middle, with candles and the Valentine’s Day dinner on it. Sue watched the sight enchanted, trying to believe this is indeed for her.

- Thank you – she smiled at her sweetheart, who took her into his arms again, pressing a light kiss on her lips.
- Anything for you – Jack returned the smile, stroking his love tenderly. – Lady? – he held Sue’s hand, leading her to the table. He poured a glass of champagne for both of them, then they ate the dinner, not tearing their gazes away from each other even for a single second.

After that, they were just standing at the seaside, admiring the shore filled with roses in each other’s embrace, immersed in the sight and the nearness of one another.
- This is beautiful – said Sue.
- I’m glad you like it – Jack kissed her. – But you deserve even much more – he pulled her closer to himself.

He felt the moment has come, which he had been planning for so long. He gently turned the woman to face him, taking a deep breath, to prepare for the next step, which could change his whole life.
- Sue… - he looked deeply into the woman’s eyes, holding her hands. – I have known from the very first time that I love you, and you are the woman with whom I want to spend my whole life. I love you, Sue… Would you do me the honour of becoming my wife? – he asked the question at last, praying to receive the answer he was hoping to get.

Sue read the confession with tears in her eyes. This was what he had been dreaming of every day for three years… that she will be the wife of the man whom she loves more than anyone else in the world.
- Yes… I’ll marry you – she replied happily, looking into the eyes of her love; the man smiled, hardly being able to gather his thoughts together after the happiness which overwhelmed his heart when hearing the woman’s answer.

Jack stepped closer to Sue, who watched with her breathing stopped as the man softly touched her face. Jack looked deeply into her eyes, and she got lost in the gaze of her love. The man started stroking the hair of his sweetheart, and he felt his heartbeat stops even after three years when her beautiful hair is falling about her shoulders.

- I love you, Sue – whispered Jack, and the woman almost melted when looking into the man’s beautiful brown eyes. Jack looked at the woman lovingly, as his lips slowly approached those of the woman. Sue’s breathing stopped when feeling the man’s hot breath. Jack touched his nose with that of Sue, approaching his lips to hers, then parted again, to approach her from a different angle. Sue’s lips were flaming, she desired Jack’s kiss so much; she didn’t know how long she will be able to bear this sweet torture. The man had mercy at last and touched his lips to those of Sue, gently surrounding the woman’s lower lip. Sue closed her eyes and surrendered to the feeling overwhelming her whole body, which was as if repeated waves of electricity went through her whole body. Jack tasted her sweet lips, and encouraged by the answer, he asked for permission to enter. Sue immediately answered to the urgent demand, and lightly parted her lips. Jack instantly replied to the call, with his tongue parting the woman’s lips. His tongue was searching impatiently for that of the woman, and when they met, they started a passionate dance, first touching a little, then parting, making the desire burning inside them almost unbearable. Jack was gently biting her lower lip with his teeth, and Sue felt that if the man stops his explorations, she will go crazy. She put her hand on the man’s muscular chest, and felt his heartbeat increase. Jack placed his arms around her waist, pulling her as close as he could. Sue’s hand wandered from the man’s chest to his neck, stroking his hair. Their kiss became more and more passionate, and they wished if only this moment would never end. They kissed each other passionately for long seconds, until they parted gasping for air. Jack’s hands wandered to the woman’s shoulders, and got under the sleeve of her T-shirt, as he pulled it aside. He followed the way of his hands with lips, then his hands got under the material. He felt the increasing heartbeat of his love, as he slowly discovered her body with his hands. He stroked the woman’s stomach under the T-shirt, then his hands wandered upwards, until they reached her bra. He felt the soft material of the underwear, and his fingers slowly started moving towards her breasts. Sue grabbed the man’s back, burying her head into his neck; her love made her know feelings she had only dreamt about before. Sue’s body tensed as Jack got back to her stomach, then slowly started pulling her T-shirt upwards. They parted only for these few seconds… Jack looked deeply into the eyes of his love, and she almost melted from the gaze of the man. There was no need for words… they both knew from each other’s gaze what the other was feeling. The woman raised her arms to help get rid of the T-shirt, which ended up on the sand, and Jack watched the revealed body of his love enchanted. The man showered the naked shoulders of his sweetheart with kisses, then turned to her neck. Sue got encouraged and looking into Jack’s eyes, placed her hands under his T-shirt, enjoying that as an effect of this, he tenses, then slowly started pulling the material upwards. She gazed at the perfect chest of the man with her breathing stopped, exploring every detail of it with her hands, then their place were taken over by her lips.

They slowly laid down on the sand; they were lying in each other’s arms surrounded by roses and candles, tenderly stroking one another.
- I love you, sweetie – whispered the man, pressing a kiss on her lips.
- I love you too, honey – Sue smiled at him; and Jack bent down, so that they could unite in another kiss.

- Jack… What about having our wedding here, at the seaside? – the woman asked a few minutes later.
- Great idea… - the man kissed her. – The place when I’ve done at last what I’ve wanted for a long time, and asked the woman whom I love more than anyone in the world to be my wife – he stroked her hair.

- I love you – stoked Sue the face of her love.
- I love you too – Jack lowered his head to kiss her again; both getting absorbed in the passion which overwhelmed their whole bodies.
