RSL sorry I got behind on your story and was not able to get back to it before now. I started over at the beginning and am caught up to the post where I left off plus one.

P4-58 –This post was incredible. I loved Jack’s analysis on his relationships, how he first looked back to examine Allie’s, trying to determine why they hadn’t ever made the commitment to each other.

And then, looking at his relationship with Sue, going back over all the significant events that have happened to her since she came to work, how she handled them and how just her presence on the team has made them better, coming to the conclusion that he loves her and wants to spend his life with her. How he waffles again, but then remembers what Mark had told him about what if she does love him...i.e. looking at the glass half full instead of half empty, and how he finally decides at the first opportunity alone with her, he will tell her how he feels. chair.gif cheerleader.gif

I don't want to, but I’m afraid I'm going to have to quit here, else I’ll not be able to get up and sensibly give my Sunday school lesson in the morning. I’ll be back, hopefully later today, to finish reading this wonderful story. I'm anxious to know if the team, Carla and Mark plan to leave Jack and Sue alone this evening. clapgirl.gif

But will it really go that smoothly for them? Hmmm, I wonder! girl_sigh.gif

In the meantime it should make for sweet dreams! biggrin.gif

P5-64 - I got the shivers just reading Sue's insecure thoughts. What a fabulous line Mark used to get he and Carla out of dinner. This is going to be so much fun...I wonder how the others are going excuse themselves. And are they all going to end up eating together somewhere else and talk about Jack and Sue? Guess I'll read on and find out.

P5-71 - Oh, sneaky Lucy. I wonder who really called her!

That's why you make something easy like spaghetti. While the hamburger was frying I was standing at a nearby counter typing on my computer. Then while the sauce was simmering I was standing at a nearby counter typing on my computer. While the pasta was cooking I was, once again, standing at a nearby counter typing on my computer. I would frequently turn around, walk the two steps to my stove and check on supper than turn back around and walk the two steps back to the laptop.
It's as easy as pie biggrin.gif (or 'as easy as easy').....
- RSL write.gif
LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif
I do that too, RSL, only I sit down at my breakfast table. My problem is I can't write and do something else at the same time. But that works for reading stories, doing my finances, or email, or...anything but write.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

P6-80 - Beautiful maneuvers by Bobby, Myles and Tara. Now Jack and Sue are all to themselves. Great writing. Also agree with the others re the waitress and Levi. Glad Jack had already spoken to the manager. Now,

Maybe by the time the rest of their friends joined them they would have something important to tell them.
This tells me Jack believes all the excuses AND he's planning on moving fast in declaring his feelings. There is something to be said for falling behind and being able to continuously read.... batting eyelashes.gif
P6-87 - Half a proposal - simply devine! girl_sigh.gif
P7-94 - Sue's fears are valid and I'm glad she expressed them. Glad Jack is so understanding...but, of course he's understanding...he's Jack... jack.gif
P7-103 - Oh, Sue, what a struggle...loved the conversation between her and her heart and especially the lines
QUOTE
When did you get to be such an expert on relationships? Sue’s head asked her heart a little cynically.
They are called ‘affairs of the heart’ are they not? Was her heart’s sly reply.
Touché.

P8-113 - PERFECTION! First they settle the work issue...Second, they realize they've been had....and third, it's PAYBACK TIME! *****Rubbing hands together***** Oh, this is going to be good! RSL, I didn't see how this story could get any better...but, it is. And I've an idea they're going to pretend the Matchmakers, Inc. plan has backfired! But even if that's not your plan, whatever you have in mind, its going to be great! Plugging on... clapgirl.gif

P8-119 - I love your long posts! I love your dialogue! I'm having more fun than Jack and Sue b/c I'm actually privy to this wonderful conversational angst they are collectively going thru. Rushing on... P9-127 - Oh, how clever, hiding Jack's phone in the centerpiece. Perfect...now they get to hear everything we do! hehe.gif
Sue finally said yes, Jack gave her a ring and all interspersed with lots of yummy fuzzies! Just doesn't get any better than that! And now Sue has a plan. Another wonderful post, RSL. P10-137 - Great idea to confuse them. slaphappy.gif
Onward... P10-147 - Oh, I had a little feeling of trepidation there when Sue met David in the park. I'm soooooo glad she told him, and told him the whole truth. Very glad Jack arrived after she finished telling David. And extremely glad about the morning kiss and they'll have to practice it forever! cloud9.gif

I love a confused Bobby and Lucy! LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif
P11-155 - Poor Bobby...Jack's silence only fueled Bobby's assumptions! The fuzzies and discussions and more fuzzies were girl_sigh.gif
I agree with Joy...Jack letting Sue take the lead was just what she needed to build her confidence. P11-158 - Jack cook breakfast, every day for the rest of their lives? Ohhhhh...where's my Jack? jack.gif
P12-166 - This is such a great story, RSL! Now, Jack must have wanted Bobby to find all the emails between him and Sue since he didn't shut down his email program....but I can't figure out why, unless its their way of letting the team know they are on to them. And what do Jack and Sue have planned for the team at Rock Creek Park? And will Sue leave the keys in the car, so they won't know where she is in the park? I just had a thought...we haven't had any showers or rain in this story yet...could that be going to happen at Rock Creek Park?

“This is Judge Paul Peters.” The man told her. “I was suppose to meet them at Rock Creek Park at ten o’clock but I’m afraid I’m a little delayed. Could you please let them know that I am on my way, but I probably won’t get there until closer to ten fifteen.”
The white-haired man, I'm guessing....I won't assume!!!!!! LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif
I am laughing so hard I'm going to have to take a break from reading!

Hey, I like this Paul Peters....and he sounds about my age...do you think you could introduce me, RSL? LolLolLolLol.gif
Oh, and I guess there's no shower, or fountain for them to romp in at the park!

“Uh, isn’t the Fairmount Hotel located in the twenty-four hundred block of M Street?” Myles suddenly asked.
Again, you have me LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif
I am almost speechless from laughing so hard. As soon as I have all the challenge stories read, I'm making a beeline to your other stories!

“Do we have to?” He asked with a slight pout. “I haven’t had this much fun since we convinced Myles that he was up for that Media Liaison position a couple of months ago.”
I have to ditto.gif
this. I haven't had this much fun either. And Jack's explanation / admonishment! I loved it.... I loved it.... loved it.... loved it.... loved it.... clapgirl.gif cheerleader.gif chair.gif broccoli1ani.gif

Now I'm going to have to quit and meet a friend to go for my walk, drats! I was hoping to finish before then... now I don't even have time to read about Lucy's desperate measures! And my granddaughter is spending the night again, so don't know when I'll get back here....but, I SHALL RETURN!!!!!! As soon as I can!!!!

P13-194 - Ah, finally the scheme is revealed after a terrific run-a-round by Jack and Sue. I cried when Mark hugged Sue. Perfect ending to a brilliant payback plan, RSL. Loved Lucy brandishing the spoon .... Every time I go to use my wooden spoons I'm going to laugh at remembering this fantastic story! P14-202 - I'm very happy Sue decided on only a 6 week engagement! ily.gif
Loved the phone conversation with the Hudsons and in stitches again over the team relaying to D the "sting" without really saying anything! LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

P15-218 - What an ingenious way to get around the no-dating rule...do a favor for the Director, albeit an inadvertent one. Paul Peters is sounding even better...a keeper...still would like to meet him! batting eyelashes.gif

Poor D, the team really had him going there for awhile! laugh.gif

QUOTE
Maybe she should just suggest that Jack move in with them and the three of them could share the apartment. That could work, couldn’t it? Realistically Lucy knew that definitely wouldn’t work, but she could always dream, couldn’t she?
You know, I've often thought that would be a good comedic story...the three of them living together, or Lucy and Jack could just trade apartments.
QUOTE
A quick investigation by Tara a few minutes later revealed that it wasn’t – unless Jack had taken Sue to Toronto, Ontario, Canada for supper.
LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

P16-227 - P16-237 - I did not think your story could get any better than the payback, but you have topped yourself, RSL. These two posts were brilliant and again had me LolLolLolLol.gif LolLolLolLol.gif

My face hurts from laughing so hard.

I have to tell you when I picked up my granddaughter last night I was still laughing from your story and briefly gave her a synopsis thru post #202 above. Today, while she was watching ST episodes I tried to sneak onto my PC and read. After the ST episode ended, just as I was starting the second of these two posts, she called me to come put another epi in the VCR and watch with her. I told her your story had another comedic post and so she came back into my bedroom and made me read from this point on to the end aloud. We laughed and then awwwhhhhed together. I've tried to get her interested in reading out here, but she is only 14 and would rather watch the shows, until this story. I'm sure it was b/c of the comedy. Great job!

Now, I was wondering when the rain was going to come into play again. I loved the final scene...besides the rain, lots of delicious fuzzies.

P17-242 - Awwww, a beautiful wedding. I'm crying.gif
again. Weddings always make me cry! And I loved the ending.... using the same scene as starting the story, only this time instead of Mark remembering, it is Jack. And a third child on the way.

A beautiful, tearful ending to a fabulous, funny, delightful story, RSL. One I shall remember with fondness; laughter as well as the fuzzies and introducing my Jen to ST fanficland! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and giving me another great storyteller to follow.
