Wow, Anne, couple of nice long posts. Great job of continuing to lay out the story. Loved Sue distracting Jack...she didn't have to lie at all, she just talked about something else. Great job!!!

Thanks Mentor and all the rest of you! I know real life can really get in the way of fun! rofl.gif But I have been having trouble getting on so I have been crying.gif I've been able to read some, but not able to get onto reply, so I couldn't post my story or comment on any! unsure.gif

So I'm back and ready to post while I can! I'll put two on why I have the chance! They're not that long but head things in another direction!

"Thank you for all you have done to help us through this!" Jack said to Bobby, Myles, Tara and Lucy. If you hold me to payback, I owe you my life."

"Well, then you have already paid us back." Tara smiled. "All we wanted was your life, for you to live!"

"Oh maybe some happily ever after might help me feel a little better," Lucy grinned, always the romantic.

"Sue, you take care of him and don't let him pull rank on you. You will be his nurse, and officially in charge of him," Myles smiled at Sue and grinned at Jack, "speaking of payback," he laughed and the others joined in.

"OK, this is all fun but we need to get back to DC before the world falls apart without us. They just can't get along without their super hero's for to long. Jack, you rest, let Sue take care of you!" Bobby couldn't help a wicked grin. "We'll be looking forward to seeing you both soon. In the mean time, enjoy your time off. You earned it."

"Take care of him Sue!" After exchanging hugs and good-byes, Jack and Sue cuddled up waiting for the doctor to give them some release information.

"Thanks for bringing Levi back and for keeping him for me Rachel." "I'm glad my Mom loves dogs, since she ended up with Levi and Eric when I got kidnapped. Eric will miss Levi's company. They played well together! William wanted to keep him for a playmate for his lab, but he knew you need Levi more." Rachel smiled. "Feel better Jack!" "Thanks Rachel."

"Sue was now stoking the fire to warm up the cozy cottage. "Let me help you Sue!" "Jack, you get out of that bed and I take you right back to the hospital. I mean it! Don't scare me again! I can build a fire!"

"Sorry Sue! I'm not used to letting a lady do a man's work when there's a man around to do it." "Fine Jack, then consider yourself a lady and stay in that bed!" "Don't make me laugh Sue, that hurts more than building a fire!"

Now finished her task and her teasing, Sue snuggled up to Jack to really warm up. "I'm glad we have until after the holidays are over!" Sue said as she rested her hand on Jack's arm.

"Yes I agree, which is very unusual for me. I hate to be away from work for so long. But I have to admit, you are the best distraction to keep me content here, having you all to myself." Jack might be weak and in pain, but he was burning with desire as he ran his fingers through Sue's silky hair and cupped her chin to lean in for a kiss. He quickly realized that she would have to lean into him. "Sue kiss me!" Jack whispered huskily. Sue was more than happy to oblige but didn't miss the grimace on Jack's face before he pulled back. She'd have to remember that.

As Sue leaned down to capture Jack's mouth with her own, Jack laid back and enjoyed her warmth, her taste, her touch. He tried to deepen the kiss and as much as Sue wanted it too, she knew he wasn't ready. "Jack rest! Let's just be grateful we have this time together and not push it." He wanted to argue, but knew she was right, again!

"Jack when do we start your physical therapy? The doctor said there is a place with a really good physical therapist just a mile from here. Jack?..." Sue smiled, seeing he was already fast asleep.

I just caught up, Anne, and I have to say that I'm very glad I didn't have to suffer through that cliffhanger when you shot Jack like everyone else! You're doing an awesome job, and I can't wait to see what happens next... smile.gif
LizzyM87
Great job, Anne! I'm looking forward to more. I'm glad that while Sue is allowing Jack to enjoy himself with her, she's keeping him subdued. A man who's just been shot needs his rest!!
CSarazin
awww that was beautiful! great job! keep it coming!

I finally caught up too. This is really great -- and you've gone and left Jack and Sue all alone without the rest of the gang....wonder what they will think up to pass the time?!
Can't wait to find out!

"You'll be back to lifting 300 lb dumb bells before you know it," the physical therapist teased Jack. Sue and Jack exchanged a look, "Sue?" "Not me, not a word!" Sue laughed at the coincidence!"

Not sure what that was all about, the PT gave Jack instructions and precautions as well as a schedule of apts. to work on repairing the damage from the trauma his body had taken.

"Sue, I talked to the PT and he said if I take it easy, I should be fine to go out to dinner by Friday night. Is it a date?"

"That's great Jack! I'm glad you're well enough, but honestly I'll be glad to get out and have a nice dinner too, as long as it's with you."

Of course Sue had no idea what Jack had planned. This would be a dinner to remember.

"So, pizza or chinese?" Jack asked Sue. "Pizza and spinach salad sounds good to me. I'll stop and order it, drop you off and come back so you don't have to wait. It should be ready by then." "Thanks Sue, I appreciate that!"

"Be right back! Do you need anything else Jack?" "No, I'm fine!"

"Hi Rachel, this is Jack. Could you do me a favor? I don't want Sue to know, it's a surprise!"

"Hi, I'm back!" Pizza's hot but not for long in this weather, it's starting to snow again! Brrr!"

Jack smiled at his little rudolf red nosed, red cheeks girl! "You are so cute when you're cold! It makes me want to warm you up!"

"Umm Jack, pizzas getting cold!" "OK, OK!"

"I feel so bad watching you build the fire, but I have to admit you're good at it! Maybe you can chop the wood too." Jack teased. "Funny man, not a chance! You have to keep up your strength up to lift your 300 lb dumb bells," Sue got him back. "Hey, how did the PT know about that?" Jack asked puzzled. "Jack, you're famous! Everyone knows about you!" "Come here you!" Jack growled.
Anne
angel.gif I'll get this on tonight so you have it for the morning! I'll be out and about all day with my Auntie down from Canada! Hope you enjoy!

December 15

"Hi Sue, hi Jack" Rachel stood in the doorway with William and his chocolate lab Eric. "Hi Rachel, hi William" Sue said. "Come on in." Hi Rachel, hi William," Jack joined in. "What's going on?" "We just wanted to stop by and drop off some of my Mom's famous pumpkin bread! It's so good. She make's it for everyone for Christmas! Also, Sue I was wondering if you and Levi could come out and play with us for a little while. William and Eric really miss Levi!"

"Pumpkin bread, I'm glad Bobby's not around to scoff it down," Jack was smelling his fresh baked, warm from the oven gift. "Tell your Mom thanks Rachel, that was real nice."

"Sure Rachel, I'd love to get out in the fresh air for a bit. Thanks for asking." Sue started to bundle up.

William shyly walked over to Jack, "are you going to be OK Mr. Hudson?" "Sure William, I'll be fine after some rest." "I heard my Mommy and Grandma asking people to pray for you and they seemed pretty scared! I prayed too, that God would make you all better!" "Thanks, William! God Answered your prayers because here I am and the doctors said it was a miracle from God." William's eyes twinkled and his big smile returned.

Eric and Levi were romping in the fresh fallen snow as William chased them around happy to be with his friends again.

"Sue, another reason I wanted to talk to you is that I am going to a mall near by here and I thought you might need to do some Christmas shopping. I thought you might want to get something for Jack and whoever else you shop for. Anyway, my Mom offered to baby-sit Jack," Rachel laughed at the thought, "and I could take you shopping!"

Sue was laughing at the idea of Jack needing a baby-sitter but finally answered, "Rachel that would be perfect! I was trying to think of a way to go shopping, but I didn't want to leave Jack! Thank you so much! You and your Mom are so thoughtful!

"No problem!" Rachel assured Sue. "How about 1pm" "Perfect!" Sue giggled with excitement.

"Jack, I'm going to the mall with Rachel but don't worry, we got a baby-sitter for you!" Sue teased. "A baby-sitter? Is she pretty?" Jack teased back. Actually it's Rachel's Mom, Marie! She will stay and make sure you behave so I can shop without worrying about you! Do you need me to pick up anything for you?" "Lots of Christmas presents," Jacked grinned! "Hey if I have to be a little boy needing a baby-sitter, I want Santa and lots of presents!" Jack laughed. "Too bad, you've been bad and Santa knows it!" Sue giggled.

"See ya later Jack! Don't give your baby-sitter a hard time!" A little embarrassed Jack smirked and said, "ha ha Sue, have fun!"

"OK, Marie, they're gone, do you have the brochures?" "Right here Jack! Do you think she will be surprised?" Marie asked. "Well, I know I am" Jack was grinning, "so, yes I do believe she will be very surprised!" An hour later Jack pointed out, "that's it, it's perfect! I'll give you the information to give to Jody so she can pick it up for me! Thanks Marie! Oh and can you have Nadine make these arrangements for me? If there are any problems, have Rachel let me know without letting on to Sue! I want all of this to be a surprise!" "Oh Jack, you're such an old fashioned romantic, I love it!" Marie smiled warmly at the excitement and joy this man had in wanting to please the woman he loved. She thought of how much she wanted this for Rachel. Maybe someday a Jack will come along for her.

"Oh and Jack, don't forget the party is Saturday at 6pm." "We'll be there!" Jack smiled.

December 16

"Hey sleepyhead, you waking up today?" Jack had to get Sue's attention to ask her. "No!" "Are you OK? You're usually up by now!" "Fine, just tired, shopping!" "OK, go back to sleep."

Jack took his cell phone into the bathroom to be sure Sue didn't notice the call. "Hey Marie, did you hear back from Nadine or Jody? Great! Reservations set for 6pm! Jody will be home by 3pm with the package. Perfect timing! Thanks Marie."

"Jack one more thing, Jody will be bringing the package to the restaurant so Sue doesn't see it before you go out. Nadine said to go to the Matre D after being seated and he will bring you to Jody. It's nice having connections in the family," Marie laughed! "Oh and Jack, how are you getting to the restaurant?"

"I'll call a limo to pick us up. Tell Jody I owe her big time!" "Jack I'll arrange the limo, I have all the information handy, 5:15pm they'll be there!" "Marie you're really helping me out here!" "My pleasure Jack!"

"Do you feel better after your hot bubble bath and hot chocolate?" Jack asked Sue, a little concerned.

"Yes, actually I feel great! I think everything just caught up with me and then going shopping was a bit much. Rachel's only 21 and she can shop until she drops, but she doesn't drop!" Sue laughed. Jack smiled to see Sue back to normal.

"I was so tired when I got home I never showed you my dress. Do you like it?" "WOW!" was all Jack could get out trying to picture Sue in the dress and fighting hard not to picture her out of it. By the look on his face, his thoughts were telling. "I'll take that as a yes!" Sue blushed.

"Your turn," Sue pulled out a handsome dark blue suit with the perfect shade of blue in his shirt to bring out his dark hair and eye color. "Jack, have I ever told you how handsome you are, how I melt when I look into your brown eyes?"

"No, I don't think you have, but thank you. And Sue thank you for taking care of me, getting me dressed up. I forgot I no longer have a suit up here with me." Jack reflected back on the last time he wore his suit, changing into it just before going to dinner. Well, I guess that suit is shot - ooh, bad pun, Jack thought to himself.

"Yea, I know," Sue said. "I knew you would need a new one and I love these colors on you, so I hope you like it. I got my dress to match the color of your shirt." Sue snuggled into Jack after seeing in his face, the flashback of that horrible night. As Sue reached up to Jack's face, gently placing her lips over his, he quickly forgot the nightmare. Jack enveloped Sue in his arms and held her as tight as he was able and deepened the kiss desperately needing her, the urgency of wanting to be one with the woman he loved, forgetting the pain.

"Sue, I'm sorry!" "No Jack, I'm not!" "Sue, we're burning with desire for each other and that's not a bad thing! It's just not the right time, not yet!" Jack couldn't believe he loved Sue enough to force himself to regain control so he could follow through with his plan to make her feel special! But then again she is special so.. "Sue, I'm going to go take a cold shower!" Jack laughed. "Can I take one too?" Sue winked. "I think that would defeat the purpose! You're not making this easy Sue!" Sue smiled thinking, no I'm not, but I'm enjoying the effect I'm having on you Jack Hudson.

December 17

"Jack if we're going out to dinner tonight, you are taking a nap first, or no go!" Sue signed. "Only if you take one with me," Jack signed back. "OK, I'm tired too, move over!"

"What do you mean, move over? I have a nice warm spot for you right here!" Jack grinned at Sue. "Jack, I said a nap! If you hold me in your arms I'm afraid of what I might do to you!" Am I going to survive this, Jack thought to himself?

"Jack, wake up, Jack! Come on handsome, I said a nap, not sleep all night!" Sue was now gently giving Jack a few nudges! "Errrg, tired," Jack moaned. "OK then don't take me out to dinner!" Sue bit back knowing that would get Jack's attention, no matter how grouchy he was waking up.

Jack's thoughts startled! Dinner? Wake up Jack, you can't miss this! Come on, you can do this, for Sue, for you! "OK, I'm up!" Sue giggled at how hard it was for Jack to wake up when he was tired. She almost never had that problem.

"Sue, you look lovely!" Jack cold not take his eyes off this stunning beauty of blond hair flowing over her shoulders. Her face was glowing, with just a hint of make up, natural beauty and those eyes that captured and won his heart forever. As his eyes descended he almost stopped, not sure if they would ever make it out the door, his resolve was weakening with each moment they spent together.

Sue's dress was an elegant blue that did match his shirt, with a hint of a sparkle in it matching the twinkle in her eyes. It fit her curves in ways he didn't want to want to think about at the moment. The neckline scooped down enough to be decent, yet entice him. As he saw the small shoulder straps, he finally spoke up. "Sue, aren't you going to be cold in that dress?"

Sue couldn't help the giggle, feeling very good about the effects she was having on Mr. Jackson Hudson, Special Agent FBI! "Jack, the dress comes with a jacket and I'll be wearing my winter coat over that! I'll be fine thank you! Unless you want me to change?"
"NO! No, I just want you to be warm."

"Jack, we should get going if we need to leave by 5:15!" "Yes, I agree, we need to go," Jack saw the head lights to the limo pull up, "now!"

"Jack, what's this?" "Our ride my lady!" Jack gave Sue his most charming grin with a wink. Sue was thinking, Jack said he wanted to make it up to me, but a limo? How thoughtful.

"Jack this is so sweet of you!" "I wanted us to be able to enjoy the scenery together! There are so many quaint little towns that run along the train line. I thought we could enjoy all the Christmas decorations on the way to dinner!" Jack took Sue's hand.

"So where are we going?" "There are so many nice little restaurants to pick from, but we've never been to any of them, so you'll have to wait until we get there." Jack could hardly wait to see the look on her face!

"Oh Jack, this is so much fun! You're right, if I was driving I wouldn't be able to focus on these crazy curvy roads, especially with all the hills. It makes me think of the Christmas song, Over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house we go!" They both laughed at the image. "This way I get to enjoy all this wonderful Christmas scenery, and you!" Sue snuggled closer to Jack. Jack smiled knowing so far his plan was going well.

As the limo pulled up to the huge old Victorian House that Sue now recognized was the Restaurant they had seen from the train on their way to NYC, she started to cry. "Wine and Roses!"

"Sue, what's wrong?" Jack rushed to her side. "Jack, I can't believe you remembered. This was so special to me and you remembered and made my little fantasy on the train come true."

Jack smiled and wiped her tears with his thumb. "Let's go in." After being seated at a very romantic table to the side of the beautiful Victorian fireplace, all decked out with elegant Victorian decorations, Jack ordered a bottle of champagne. "Sue, I'll be right back, need to use the men's room." "OK" Sue signed.

Jack found the maitre d' and told him he was Nadine's friend. He took Jack quickly to a side room where Jody was waiting. "Check it out Jack, she'll love it!" "Thank you so much," Jack gave Jody a quick hug. "Hi, Jack! Who's your friend?" Sue asked confused and hurt! "Oh, she's a friend of Rachel's and Marie's! She helped set this up so I was thanking her." Jack was glad he could come up with quick answers. But something in Sue's eyes told him she wasn't buying it. Jack was feeling a little guilty for deceiving Sue, but he would fess up later.

"Where's the powder room?" Sue asked Jack. "Umm, I don't know!" "I thought you said you were going to the men's room?" Sue looked more hurt knowing Jack well enough, he was lying to her, but why would he do that? "I was, I am. We'll find it!" Jack was feeling a bit nervous.

The maitre d' came over with the chalk board menu to introduce his guests to the gourmet delights being served this evening. This was one of their traditions that made each guest feel they were the only ones there! The night was theirs to be catered to like a king and his queen.

After placing their order, Jack took Sue's hands knowing what was coming next. "Sue, I love you, I'm sorry!" he signed. "I'll explain later. Tonight is for us alone." Sue felt the tension leaving and realized Jack would never go to all this trouble if he didn't love her. She did feel like his queen, or maybe his princess she smiled at the thought. Get over it Sue, she thought to herself, and looked up at Jack with a warm smile. "I love you too Jack!"

A dozen of the most beautiful long stem red roses were placed before Sue, a card attached. Sue looked bewildered and her eyes lit up, having never been treated quite like this before. She opened the card and noticed Jack go down on one knee as she read, "Will you marry me?" She looked over to see Jack signing the same question to her. He pulled a red velvet box out of his pocket and opened it. Sue was shaking, dropping the roses on the table, looking at the ring of her dreams along with the man of her dreams. "Jack, yes!" Sue reached out to kiss Jack. "Jack get up, you'll hurt yourself!" Sue was concerned. "OK, but let me place this ring on my very soon to be, wife's finger!" Jack winked and grinned!

"Jack I love it, it's perfect! How did you know?" "I pay more attention to you than you realize! I've been in love with you for a very long time!"

As Jack stood, he pulled Sue up into his arms and kissed her gently. He could hear Sue moan and forgot where they were. Together they deepened the kiss and the passionate flames were overwhelming! "Excuse me sir," the maitre d' tapped Jack on the shoulder. "Oh, I'm sorry. Sue, we better eat and pick this up later!" Jack felt his face flush.

December 18

"Jack, what did you mean by very soon, to be your wife?" "Well, I don't believe in long engagements when you've been in love forever" Jack grinned. I also want our wedding night to be very special for both of us. But that's not going to happen unless that wedding night is very soon, like within the next week! How about Friday, Christmas Eve?"

"Jack, are you serious?" "Yes Sue, I want you completely and forever, as soon as possible! Can we do it?"

"How, where?" Sue's eyes grew large almost in a panic! "I know of an adorable little A frame chapel that we've been to and the Pastor has already agreed to allow the ceremony before the Christmas Eve Service. Marie offered her house for the reception and her daughter Nadine is a Culinary Institute graduate and offered to organize the food and cake, along with her sister Ann, David's Mom."

"Nadine was also a big part of making last night happen. She knows the owners of Wine and Roses and set us up with the best table. She's Rachel's sister too. Jody picked up your ring for me, she works at the Diamond District in Manhattan. I was so grateful and you caught me in an awkward moment giving her a thank you hug. You knew I wasn't exactly being honest with you and I felt really bad, but I couldn't very well tell you then, Jody just gave me your engagement ring." Jack scrunched his face and smiled. "I'm so sorry for that!"

"Jack, let's do it! This is crazy but I'm crazy in love with you and I really want to wait too, but I don't know how much longer I can handle being so close yet so far! If we know it's just a week, well it's just a week, right! We can make it!" They both broke out into laughter knowing the challenge would be as great as climbing Mt. Everest, but they were determined.

"Sue, you just made me the happiest man in the world!" Taking her in his arms, he kissed her passionately and she responded with equal desire.

6pm

Marie's house was decorated and ready for Christmas. A house full of family and friends welcoming their new guests. Sue and Jack could smell all the Christmas foods ready to be devoured by the hungry crowd. "Wow, this is some celebration," Jack laughed. "I wonder what they do for Christmas?" Sue hugged Jack feeling the joy of true celebration in the air.

Marie asked all to join in as she said a blessing before the meal. After blessing the food Marie added, "Lord I thank you for protecting Rachel and Keri when they were missing, and Lord we thank you for the early Christmas gift of the miracle of You allowing Jack to live, so we can also enjoy this wonderful evening celebrating Sue and Jack's engagement. God Bless them always!" All joined in with Amen and added their personal congratulations to Jack and Sue.

"Thanks Marie, and I forgot to tell you that the team wasn't able to make it up tonight because of a very important case they are closing up." Jack sighed knowing he really should have let her know ahead. "But I'm sure they will all be here next Friday, even if they have to call in sick," Sue laughed. Jack agreed pulling Sue into a hug. "I can't wait!" "Well you promised you would, so you have to!" Sue teased! Oh God, help me through this week, she doesn't know what she's doing to me, Jack thought.

After mingling with their new friends for an evening of fun, laughter, Christmas carols and playing with William and David, it was getting late. "Marie, it was so sweet of you to have an engagement cake for us," Sue smiled! "My pleasure Sue. It's not often you find a couple as special as you and Jack!" After all the good nights, it was time to head back to the cottage!

As they arrived back at the cottage, Jack saw a snowman that the kids had built on the property, near the Inn. "Sue, before we go in, can I lipsing a song to you?" Sue blushed and said, "sure Jack!" Jack took Sue in his arms and began singing, "Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" Sue thought she was going to melt as she saw the intensity of the look in Jack's eyes as he sang the verse, when we finally kiss goodnight, how I'll hate to go out in the storm, but if you really hold me tight, all the way home I'll be warm. And the verse before it, but as long as you love me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

"Jack, I might not be able to hear the words, but I feel what you're saying and I see it in your eyes. Thank you! I loved it." Sue wrapped her arms around Jack and said, "Now can we go warm up by that delightful fire?" Sue smiled and tugged Jack towards the cottage. Jack gave Sue a wicked grin and said, "I can't wait to warm you up by the fire!" "Jack!"

December 19

"Service was great Jack. I'm glad they do ASL there." "Me too." Jack smiled. "After all, if you're gonna marry me, you better know what you're doing!" they shared a laugh. "Pastor Joe said he wanted to see us on Tuesday at 1pm. That was very nice of him to give us all the information we need about marriage license and all," Sue hugged Jack. "I can't believe this is happening!" Sue said as she snuggled closer to Jack.

"Bobby, this is Jack!" "No worry mate, you haven't been gone that long! I know who you are!" "Bobby, I need a favor, well a few, but for now, can you go over to Lucy's and have her call Sue on her blackberry! You call me back on my cell at the same time. We need to talk!"

"Is everything OK Jack?" More than OK, but I'll explain when you get to Lucy's!" "OK, Jack, you've got it, give me about an hour." Bobby smiled as he hung up.

"Lucy, you are never going to believe this! Can I come over? Jack wants you to call Sue and me call Jack back at the same time! He asked me to go to your place!" Bobby was more excited than he realized.

"Whoa Bobby, slow down! Did I just hear what I just heard?" Lucy screeched with excitement. "This can only mean one thing! What are you waiting for? Get over here NOW Bobby!"

"Hey Jack, it's Bobby!" "I haven't been gone that long Bobby." Both men laughed. "Sue, what's going on?" Lucy tried to contain her excitement. Sue and Jack smiled and both started, "Lucy, Jack proposed to me Friday night at dinner and I said yes!" "Bobby, I asked Sue to marry me and to my amazement, she said yes!"

"Sue, Jack, I'm so happy for you both! You're so perfect for each! Congratulations! What a perfect Christmas gift to each other!" Lucy felt so giddy.

"Way to go Sparky! It's about time you caught that pretty little sheila before she got away! I couldn't be happier for both of you! Congratulations and as Lucy said, perfect timing, great Christmas gift to each other!"

"Well, there's more to the story!" Sue told Lucy. "First, are you busy Christmas Eve?" "Aah, not really, why?" "Would you be my Maid of Honor?" Sue was grinning saying the words.

"Bobby, I consider you my best friend and would be honored if you would be my Best Man! Are you available Christmas Eve?"

Bobby and Lucy were both startled with the shock of waiting so long for these two to find each other, to getting engaged and married one week later. They shared a look and burst out laughing. Together Bobby and Lucy yelled, "YES!!"

Both Jack and Sue gave their thanks and talked over plans of when and where, etc. Bobby and Lucy had both agreed to be there on Thursday for rehearsal. They promised to let everyone know they were invited as there was no time for invitations. Bobby assured them it should be no problem because, after all the team had been through, and the last case was a bear but would be wrapped up by Tuesday. After that, they were assured time off until after Christmas.

"Talk to you soon mate, and again Congratulations! Give Sue a big kiss for me!" "Thanks Bobby, bye!" "I'll keep in touch everyday, I want all the details! Give Jack a hug for me Sue!" "OK, Lucy and thanks!"

December 20

In the bullpen first thing Monday morning, Bobby and Lucy gathered everyone together for the big announcement. The surprise and excitement was enough to put the biggest smiles on the team, more like close friends, almost family. Tara and Myles were thrilled. "What can we do to help?" Tara asked. "Sue will be keeping in touch so she will let us know. Also Jack will keep Bobby informed as well." D was happy, but wondered how Donna would handle the last minute change in plans for a Christmas trip with the kids, Christmas Eve. Wait, her Aunt isn't that far from there, this could work out good, he smiled.

"Come on Sue, we need to get our marriage license and I need to get back for physical therapy." "OK, Jack! But when we get back, can you call Rachel for me and ask her to come over?" Sue realized that in their rush to get married, she had forgotten one small detail, her wedding gown. "Sue? Sue, are you OK?" Jack could see some concern on her face. "It will be fine Jack, I just need to do some girl shopping and Rachel knows her way around."

"I like what I see here! Our marriage license! This makes it more real and even more exciting!" Jack took Sue into his arms and started kissing her with a fiery passion. Sue thought she was going to melt right into him and settle for the marriage license. As Jack moved her towards the bed, Sue couldn't stop herself and joined him eagerly caught up in the passion burning within her. God, I love this man so much, Sue thought!

Hearing a knock, Jack broke the kiss! "Errr, door! You were just saved by a knock on the door, my dear!" Jack was stalling to get his breathing under control. Sue was disappointed and relieved. She started laughing at Jack, as they both tried to straighten their appearance! "Are you going to get the door, or should I," Sue smiled with a gleam in her eye! "You get it Sue!" Jack laid down on the bed.

"Hi Rachel! Thanks for coming over. I wanted to talk to you about some shopping I need to do. Whenever is a good time for you, if that's ok?" "Can you go now Sue? I'm just headed out to the mall and I promise not to keep you all day and night!" Rachel laughed.

"Hold on Rachel! Jack are you OK?" "Yes, I'm tired from the PT workout. I just need a nap. I'll be fine. You go get your shopping done. Hi Rachel and thanks for taking Sue!" "Hi Jack, I hope you feel better! Come on Sue, sales are waiting!" Sue leaned over and kissed Jack good-bye! "Get some rest! See you soon!" I wonder what I'll be dreaming of, Jack smiled as his lids started to close.

"Sue, are you thinking wedding gown?" Rachel couldn't contain her excitement! "Actually, yes!" "I can take you to an outlet if you really want your own dress. But Nadine just got married last year and said, since you're both the same size, you are welcome to try hers on, and if you like it you can borrow it." "Really, can we go there first Rachel?" "Sure Sue, it's right down the road!"

"Nadine, if I were going to pick out my own dress, this would be it, it's perfect! I can't believe it fits so well!" Sue was so excited as she looked at herself in the mahogany antique mirror, feeling like a princess. "I love the scoop neckline with the dainty white daisy's over the shoulders and top of the dress. They are even on the edges of the train to the dress. It's just beautiful, elegant and dainty!"

"I felt the same way when I tried it on Sue. I fell in love with it and after trying on who knows how many more, I went right back to this one! I love it. My husband loved it on me and I'm sure Jack will melt when he sees you coming down the isle." Nadine was pleased she would be able to share her treasure with Sue.

"Nadine, how do I thank you? You've done so much!" "My pleasure Sue. I love happy endings."

"We better get to the mall so you can get the other things you need Sue. Nadine, bring the dress over to Mom's house so Sue can dress there. We wouldn't want Jack to see it before the wedding!" Rachel was feeling giddy.

Rachel was giggling at some of the things she caught Sue buying! "I didn't think you had it in you Sue!" Rachel teased. "Oh stop it Rachel, we'll be married so fun is fun!" Sue was still blushing, in spite of her attempt to defend her desire to be a little naughty. But she had so much fun thinking of ways to please Jack and have a little fun of her own making him blush! I can't wait Sue thought.

"Besides Rachel, didn't your Mom ever tell you it's rude to go into other peoples shopping bags?" Sue giggled. "Well maybe, but she never mentioned anything about wedding attire or honeymoon surprises!" Rachel continued her teasing. "I'll remember this when you get married, and I want an invitation!" Sue insisted.

"Oh, and swear to secrecy! You are not to mention a word of what you saw to anyone, especially Lucy and Tara! I'm sure you'd have enough sense not to mention it to the men!" Rachel burst out laughing harder, loving the time she got to spend with Sue and what a great sense of humor she had. "We'll see!" Rachel winked, teasing some more!

December 21

"This bakery has the best food and coffee I've ever tasted!" Jack snuggled up to Sue. "I wonder where they get it from, it's so good!" Sue laughed and snuggled in closer to Jack. "I think it has to do with living in a quaint little village where you still get that personal touch!" Jack looked at his watch.

"We better get over to see Pastor Joseph. We wouldn't want to be late and make a bad impression!" Sue smiled. "Let's do it!" Jack was eager to get the details down to settle any jitters. He knew he was doing exactly what he wanted, he just wanted to be sure that all goes perfect for Sue.

"Jack, this has all happened so fast, it's almost scary, but it's to good to be afraid of. Everything Pastor Joseph had to say was so helpful. Things we never thought to talk about, or ask each other. Now we know what we both want in our marriage!"

"You're so right Sue, I am so in love with you and all I knew was that I want you for the rest of my life. I never would have thought to discuss those issues that are so important. It was a little scary as Pastor Joseph brought up some things that I wondered if we would agree on. Thank God we are so perfect for each other, since we would only have a few days of counseling to work out any serious problems!" They both laughed.

"Pastor Joseph had some good points on being real in a relationship. Everyday is not perfect, but we should always have a positive attitude of working through our differences. Being grateful for the good times we have and the gift God has given to us, in each other." Sue smiled at Jack warmly, thinking how truly grateful she was that God had given Jack to her.

"Sue, there is one thing I am afraid of! I want to make you happy and to be there for you, but I know I get busy and distracted. Please promise me that instead of getting angry or hurt, just hit me in the head and tell me to get a clue!"

"You might just regret those words Mr. Hudson!" Sue laughed. "Jack, you can't always make me happy, no matter how hard you try. You are there for me and if you really get distracted and I need you, I will get your attention. If you want me to hit you in the head, OK! But Jack, remember, I know you work for the FBI, so do I. It's not always going to be easy for either of us. We have to accept that and do the best we can. I love you and I know you love me! We will pray together and let God help us with the rest!"

"How'd you get so smart and beautiful?" Jack pulled Sue into his arms for a passionate kiss! As he deepened the kiss he could feel the quiver in Sue! Pulling back, he asked "Sue, are you cold?" "No Jack, maybe a bit warm!" Sue smiled and said, "Maybe we should find something to do to keep ourselves busy and out of trouble! Jack laughed with a wink and said, "Good point!"

December 22

"Jack, I talked to Jody and she's bringing the rings home tonight!" "That's great Marie, thanks again. I don't think we could have done this without you!" "If you need anything else, give me a call!" "Thanks Marie!"

"Sue can you ask the girls at the desk how I can arrange for physical therapy when I get back to DC?" "Sure Jack!" "Hey Alex, you know Sue and I are getting married Christmas Eve. I didn't want her to hear me, but last workout we did was a little rough on me after. She doesn't know yet but we're heading for some sunshine and I was wondering if I need to do PT that week or can it wait until I get back to DC?"

"Jack, if you're getting married Friday, I'd suggest you save all our energy for your honeymoon!" Alex slapped Jack on the back gently teasing him. "We'll skip the workout and do the more comforting part of the PT. You'll feel better. Come in tomorrow and Friday morning too, so you're OK to travel. I would suggest you find a PT in the sunshine. A week is to long to go without at this point. You do want to enjoy your honeymoon! I'll check and see if I can find someone to recommend and I'll have a copy of your records to take with you so they will know what to do and more importantly, what not to do." Alex smiled at Jack.

"Thanks Alex!" Jack said. "No problem Jack, but remember when you get back to DC, it's back to some serious working out to get you back to normal. Just don't push yourself for now. Walk on the beach, go for some relaxing swimming in heated pools and be sure to go to a PT down there! Other than that, enjoy your honeymoon and congratulations."

"Sue, you ready to go?" "You're finished already Jack?" "Yup, a quick healer, Jack winked!" "OK, I have the information for you for DC." "Thanks Sue. I need apts. for Thurs and Friday too!" "Friday morning Jack? Won't that be to much?" "Come on, I'll explain!" Jack began to share his conversation and advice from Alex.

"Let's get back, so we can rest Jack?" "I'm fine Sue! But we can go back and snuggle by the warm fireplace. I am a little chilly, how about you Sue?" "Nice try Jack, we only have two days left!" Sue gave Jack a mock annoyed look!

"Hey, I'm wounded Sue. I've been so good and I'm probably chilly from taking more cold showers this past week than my entire life!" Jack pouted. Sue was starting to feel a little bad as they entered their cottage. She went to start a fire but this time Jack insisted on helping. Sue did most of the work but enjoyed Jack's closeness.

As the fires began to burn in the fireplace, a fire started to ignite between Jack and Sue. All good intentions, now once again being tested to it's limits. "Jack, I need you!" Sue moaned into Jack's now bare chest. "Oh God Sue, no don't tell me that, I need you too, but I promised, we promised. It's only two more days. Breathing heavy, Jack kissed the tip of Sue's nose and said "soon princess, soon." And once again headed off for a cold shower!

Sue sighed thinking, I can't believe I was ever nervous about this. Now I can't wait to rip his clothes off, she blushed at the thought!
Anne
angel.gif OK, this is the last one for tonight! I hope you enjoy it! Feedback appreciated! Coming close to the end! SIGH! I'm nervous about ending it and a little sad. This is my first fanfic and I'm having some fun and will miss it!

December 23

"Bobby, Lucy, it's great to see you!" Jack and Sue hug their friends. "Things have certainly changed around here since we left." Lucy smiled. "Yes, I believe Sparky here has lit some sparks of his own with our Sue! We couldn't be happier!" Bobby was elated for his friends good fortune.

"Let's just say, tomorrow can't come soon enough!" Jack had a wicked grin. "Jack!" Sue blushing, hit him in the arm! "What? That's what you told me! Jack teased Sue just to watch her blush some more.

Lucy and Bobby were laughing at their antics and loved seeing the freedom these lovebirds finally have, after keeping it pent up for so long.

After a quick rehearsal at the little chapel, Jack, Sue, Bobby and Lucy went out for a quiet little dinner to catch up on all they'd missed. Not wanting Jack to over do since the wedding was tomorrow, soon they were back at the little cottage.

"So Lucy, want to take a ride with me?" Sue winked. "We'll leave the boys to play their silly games!"

"Bye girls!" Bobby laughed at Jack and said, I can't believe you embarrassed the little sheila like that." Jack laughed back and said, "I'm starting to wonder if she really can be embarrassed. You would not believe what she has been putting me though! I've never had so many cold showers in my life!" "Oh, so she wants to wait?" Bobby smiled thinking how frustrated Jack must be living with her and not being able to.... "Yes, we both want to! It's just very difficult living under the same roof!"

"Now I'm starting to understand the urgency in having the shortest engagement in history! One week! Never heard of it mate!" Bobby laughed.

"OK, I stepped into that one! Let's keep that between us Bobby! Did you get all the reservations taken care of for Siesta Keys?" "Sure, all taken care of! Here's your flight information out of JFK into Sarasota. My Aunt's, cousin's, Uncle's, brother is away for the month so his place is all yours. He said after all you've been through, there's no way he'd charge you. He said to consider it a wedding gift and a thank you from an FBI wanna be! He's a good guy. Also very clean and neat. It's right on the beach and the sunsets are gorgeous! The ocean is a bit chilly this time of year, but great for walks on the silkiest white sand and there is a heated pool for swimming too. He said to be sure you hit the beach on Sunday night as they have the greatest drummers and fire batons as well as some good calipso music. Oh, here is the number to the place to pick up the key!"

"Bobby what can I say? You're the man! I knew I could count on you, but this is even better than I could have imagined! Sue will love it! She has no idea!

"Hi Marie, you remember Lucy?" "Sure, hi Lucy, hi Sue! Come on in! You must be dying to show off your wedding gown!"

"Sue, you're beautiful! The dress is so perfect, it's you!" Lucy started to tear up with joy for her friend. "Thanks Lucy!" Sue hugged her.

"So Lucy, are you staying here tonight with Sue?" Marie asked. "What?" Sue asked not having thought about spending a night without Jack. "Sue, Jack can't see his bride before the wedding!" Lucy added! "Oh!" Sue was trying to adjust her emotions! Jack was right, tomorrow can't get here to soon! "That would be great Marie, if you can put up Lucy and I? Are you sure it's not to much? You've already done so much!" "Sue haven't you learned by now, this is like a fairytale come true for me! I love that you and Jack are so in love and getting married. Any little part I can play in this, I feel blessed!" Marie assured Sue and Lucy. "Thanks Marie, we will go get our stuff!"

"Jack, Lucy and I are going to stay at Marie's until the wedding!" Sue said with tears in her eyes. "Sue, what's wrong?" Jack was confused. "It's not what's wrong, it's what's right! You're not supposed to see me the day of the wedding until the ceremony. But I miss you already!" Sue reached out to Jack for a hug with tears now running down her face!

Jack held Sue tight, then leaned back and wiped her tears! "I love you Sue Thomas and tomorrow will be here soon and you will be Sue Hudson. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hudson. How does that sound to you?" Jack took Sue into the bathroom for privacy and signed to her, you will be mine and I will be yours, completely and forever tomorrow! Dream of me! I'll be dreaming of you! A passionate kiss followed.

"Good night Jack! Bobby be sure to get Jack to physical therapy in the morning and thanks Bobby!" Sue was now smiling.

"No problem Sue, get your beauty rest and leave Jack to me! He'll be fine!" Bobby decided to tease Sue and told her "A keg of beer and a topless bar and he'll be all set!" "Bobby!!!!" Bobby wasn't sure who screamed at him louder, Sue, Jack or Lucy! He grinned his charming, who me grin! "It's just a good thing I know Jack better than to think he would ever go to a place like that!" Sue scolded Bobby, teasingly. She also knew Bobby knew better!

"Good night Sue, Lucy!" "Good night guys, and behave!" The girls laughed!

Totally loved it Anne, you did such an awesome job. I cant wait for the wedding and the honeymoon. Cant wait to see Jacks reaction to whatever Sue bought at the mall. Sounds interesting.

My goodness, Anne, you were on a writing tear.

Great job and am looking forward to the wedding beyond...
LizzyM87
Well, I'm sad that it's ending, but at the same time I am excited to read more! I'm so anxious for the wedding and honeymoon to finally arrive. BTW, I love how you're having Jack and Sue wait for their wedding night. Their anticipation will make it all the more special... not that I know from experience. wink.gif But, I'm sure the sense of fulfillment will be amazing.
Von27usa
Anne, dont be nervous about the ending I think that as long as Jack and Sue end up married noone here will be dissapointed.
Anne
angel.gif Thanks again for all your encouraging words! I feel so much better after asking my Mom yesterday, how far she was on the story and she couldn't remember where she put it. crying.gif And no, she's not forgetful, she has a great memory! unsure.gif Did I ever tell you I have low self esteem! rofl.gif Anyway, I'm almost done with the wedding and that night. I am going to go to the 25th for some more fun.

I'll try to get the 24th on here some time today or tonight. I can't wait to get back to finish up the rest of the stories as I've gotten behind on them too. Christmas is a fun time of year! I better go, my bills are calling, the rest of my Christmas cards and, I need to get ready to go to NY. Oh my, these pesky things that interfere with my reality STFBEye. rofl.gif But I can't wait to see my 7 little dwarfs, or I suppose this time of year it would be elves aka my 7 grandsons. tongue.gif
LizzyM87
lol, I know the feeling! Well, about being torn away from my alternate universe. wink.gif I have stuff to do, like loads of homework and getting ready to go away for Christmas, but.... hehe... I'm guilty of spending way too much time in fanfic land.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to whatever you have awaiting us.
