This board has some terrific writers, and I love the connection we make during contest time, and all the time. It's a COMMUNITY of writers - the competitions always feel like we're not competing against one an other, but against ourselves, and our own best writing.

Now one thing, this is the first time I've noticed a tie and it is in more than one category, just goes to show the excellance of the writers involved.

I must admit I had a hard job myself choosing between those two in the different categories.

I must say I'm impressed by the 'variety' of winners this time around - there were so many different and interesting takes on how to write a story for this challenge, from serious to outrageously funny, and I think that's reflected in the wide range of winners.

Thanks to everyone who participated in any way - and that includes readers. While the writers might still write for their personal gratification, it sure wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun if there were no one to comment and encourage them.
