A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words! Fall 2008 Challenge

It’s time to celebrate all things Autumn! Change is in the air, frost is underfoot and we're trying something new and different in our Challenge forum. Instead of written story starters, we are inviting you to be inspired by the single photograph in each of our seven themes:

Love’s Sweet Harvest
It Happened One Autumn
The Apple of My Eye
Fall Frolic
A Killer Frost
Autumn Expressions
Seeing Red

You must use the title attached to the photograph you choose, but you don’t need to attach the picture to your story as an intro. Readers can refer to the Challenge Guidelines area to see the source of your inspiration. Just start writing, but carefully peruse our voting categories first to see some of the new ones we’ve created especially for this Challenge.

You may enter this Challenge as many times as you like, though, as always we are striving for quality not quantity. You must use a different Title/Picture for each entry and you must finish one story before starting another. Also stand-alones only please -- no sequels. To celebrate our prolific authors we have a special category: Exemplary Body of Work. (See below for more details).

All stories must include at least one character from either Sue Thomas F.B. Eye or Murdoch Mysteries.

As usual we ask that you begin your story by:

Select New Topic

In the title area please include the title of the picture you have chosen and your name : ie. A Killing Frost – kav

In the description area please include your rating: ie. PG17

Then just keep writing! A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words Challenge begins on Tuesday September 16 and ends at midnight in your area Saturday Nov 1st.
