No way I'm laying down until this gets posted or I'll be

Thanks for reading along.
Happy Mother's Day.
Was the hallway leading to Jack’s door always so long? Nervous anticipation built with every trembling step. Matching gold bands proclaimed them to be husband and wife, with all the rights and privileges thereof. But the nearer they got to their destination the more Sue wondered if she was ready. If they were ready. Where had her determination to no longer hide from the feelings he stirred simply by entering a room disappeared to?
Lost in the meanderings of her mind she didn’t notice Jack slowing his pace to match hers before bringing them to a stop until his warm hand cupped her face. Shivering with the simplest of contact she lifted her eyes to read him.
“I love you. Whatever you want out of tonight... I’ll make it happen sweetheart. Having you by my side... the right to hold you in my arms throughout the night... that’s all I need. Never again having to leave you at your door and go home alone to my empty bachelor pad is a dream come true. Sue... I’ll willingly wait for anything more as long as you need. No pressure.”
Fears dissolving like the mist Sue leaned into his welcoming arms. “I love you Jack Hudson. Please keep being patient with your silly bride.”
“Not silly, never silly. Nervous, apprehensive, shy... I will stipulate to all of those.”
His adorable grin never failed to make her feel better. Relaxing in his embrace she giggled. “You’ve been spending too much time with Judge Kendall these last few days. ‘I will stipulate to all of those?’ Definitely lawyer talk.”
“Are you making fun of my legal vocabulary? Careful, I might have to hold you in contempt of court. Though I can think of several ways for you to get back in the good graces of the presiding judge.”
“I didn’t realize we’d be seeing more of Judge Kendall tonight.”
Laughter made his well toned chest heave, brushing sensually against the silk fabric of her wedding dress. Breath catching in her throat at the sensations ricochetting through parts of her body yearning for his unobstructed touch she almost missed his response.
“No one but us for the next seven days sweetheart. Bless Lucy for keeping Levi. But don’t worry. As an officer of the court I am fully empowered to meet out justice as I see fit. I have every confidence a successful resolution to our situation can be achieved.”
A shudder not of dread but desire coursed through her at the heat in his eyes. Sliding her fingers along the impeccably fitting tuxedo jacket to the base of his neck she allowed them to tangle in his soft hair. Confidence returned at the love reflected back to her, enabling her to shift boldly against him. ”Prove it councillor.”
Sweeping her into his arms Jack made short work of the remaining distance. Fumbling with the key he managed to open the wood panel door without ever removing his gaze from her. Pausing on the threshold his lips met hers in the sweetest of kisses.
“Welcome home Mrs. Hudson.”
“Anywhere with you Jack is home for me. I love you.”
Closing the door, he let her legs slide down his body, the intimate contact sending pulses of pleasure along every nerve ending. The finality of him snapping the lock in place before scooping her back up into his arms unexpectedly nestled deep in her heart. This place would become their fortress of love in a world so often gone wrong.
“May I show you around your new home sweetheart?”
“Please.”
Moving from room to room Jack kept her entertained with outrageous suggestions of what they could do to the decor of each one alternating with flirtatious comments pertaining to what they could do within said places. Laughter held her in its grip as he carried her through the only room she’d yet to see.
“And this Mrs. Hudson is my former bedroom.”
“Former?”
“Of course. Now it’s our bedroom. This is our bed. These are our sheets and covers which I’m laying you down on. These are our pillows your golden locks are spilling over. And these are definitely our lips which are about to meet.”
Gentle beginnings slowly morphed into ardent explorations as she lost herself in his arms. His magnificent hands which could handle the most hardened criminals with strength and decision coaxed her body to life with ease, tender yet firm. Secure in his love she willingly surrendered to the journey.
Feeling his lips leave the path they’d been intent on tracing along the side of her neck she breathed a protest. “Don’t stop.”
“I won’t... as soon as you give me permission to remove our clothes. Beautiful as you are in this wedding dress, I believe you’ll be even more so out of it. And if mine come off I will be able to show you what I really want you to mean when you promise to stick to me like glue.”
Mutely she nodded, delighting in each new sensation as he leisurely prolonged the disrobing process. Gasping when skin finally met skin she whispered against his lips. “Jack?”
“Yes sweetheart?”
“Welcome home.” Seducing him with a lover’s kiss she gave him everything, receiving his all in exchange as they sealed their love in the first of what promised to be many passion-filled interludes throughout their lifetime.

You know, I'm sure I had a comment in there somewhere.... but for the life of me, I can't figure out why it would run away.
Maybe I'll just sit here and slowly

until I figure it out.

We know that the words, welcome home, mean a lot to Jack. After he made the comment about never having to come home alone again, she couldn't have picked better words to say to him as they sealed their love.
Great story all the way.

Karen, another superb job!! As much as I dislike Tony, I'm glad to see that he really had a reason for being where he was; although it's very clear he would have done what he had to, to get his family back!! If he was a team player he wouldn't have had to think he was going to have to follow through with the mobsters' instructions!!!
Jack and Sue's last first date was awesome!! I love the crossover with O'Malley!! And, now neither Jack or Sue have to go home alone again!!!
Thanks for sharing, Karen!! I love every word!!!

Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed that, Karen. Thank you for so many adorable moments between Jack and Sue. The two of them sleeping on her couch, having professed their love for the first time, is something that will stick in my mind and will bring many sweet dreams. Thank you for sharing your talent.
