I wanted to start this challenge a while back but didn't have a good idea. Then after waiting BONES' 100th episode an idea hit.
Hope you like it....

I’m That Guy
“So how are things between you and Jack?” asked Lucy who was standing next to Sue in the bathroom of a local bar. She leaned forward to check her makeup. She glanced at Sue, who adverted her gaze from the mirror. She sighed and placed a hand on Sue arm.
Sue turned her head to look at her. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
She shook her head. “All of us in the bullpen see that things have changed between the two of you. Ever since you said you were going to take that job in New York and then decided to stay… Something is going on between the two of you. Spill.”
“There is nothing going on.” Sue said trying to keep her smile at bay.
“Right…. So the fact that Jack asked you ten minutes ago if you guys can skip out on Bobby cutting the cake is nothing…” Her voice trailed off as she shrugged her shoulder. She smirked when she saw Sue eyes widen. “I still don’t have your lip reading abilities… but I do have pretty good ears. I was standing next to you when he asked you.”
Sue sighed knowing that her best friend wasn’t going to let her leave the bathroom and join Jack anytime soon. “Ok, but you have to keep it a secret and don’t get your hopes up too high, you promise?”
She made a cross sign over her heart. “I promise. Now spill, I’ve been dying to know for the last six months.”
“Things are going really well between me and Jack… We’ve been kinda sorta seeing each other…” Sue blushed slightly as she said that.
She giggled and said, “Really? Oh my god. Dating secretly… forbidden romance… I like this… So is it serious?”
“Not sure… but I think… it might be… seems like he wants to tell me something…” Sue replied. “If I stay in here any longer I might never find out.”
“Well what are we doing in here let’s find out.” She grabbed her purse off the counter and ushered Sue out of the bathroom.
~~~~~~
Once they exited the bathroom Lucy’s eyes scanned the room for a certain Special Agent of the FBI. When the eye women were unable to find the agent Lucy grabbed Tara who happened to walk by with Bobby, the birthday boy. “Seen Jack anywhere, Tara?” she asked as Sue continued to scan the room.
“Crash? Yeah… I was with him until he got a phone call a few second ago. After he hung up he stepped outside.” Bobby answered.
“Thanks….” Lucy said and as she was about to usher Sue towards the front door of the bar Bobby said,
“Don’t stay to long out there.. You’re going to miss the cake Tara baked me. As I’m blowing out the candles it might explode…Ouch!” Bobby said as Tara swatted him on the shoulder.
Lucy shook her head as she quickly signed cake to sue and then ushered her to front door.
They reached the door and just as Sue was about to turned the door knob they noticed Jack talking to a blonde hair woman. Sue turned her head towards Lucy who signed, “Ronda? What is she doing here?”
Sue turned her attention back to Jack and his ex girlfriend, Ronda. Sue did not need to hear what they were talking about to know. She could read their lips clearly thanks to the bright lights of the street lamps and the flashing bar sign again above their head. She chewed her bottom lip lightly as she watched their exchange and then their embrace.
She then turned towards Lucy and said, “I’m going home… Tell Bobby I said Happy Birthday.”
Lucy grabbed her arm and said, “Sue… maybe it’s not what you think.”
“I read lips Lucy… I know what I saw…” She removed her coat from the coat hanger by the door before exiting the bar.
Jack saw Sue briskly walk pass him and Ronda. He saw her expression and turned to Lucy who stood by front door. “What happen?”
“That’s what I should be asking you, Jackson Samuel Hudson. What are you doing standing there, go after her.” Before Lucy could say anything else he went after Sue.
~~~~~~
Without Levi, Jack knew it was pointless to call Sue’s name. He had to jog a few time to keep up with her peace. When they reach the park Sue walked through to reach her apartment, he ran up and stood in front of her. He quickly signed, “Where are you going?”
“Going home,” Sue replied in a bitter tone. She tried to walk pass him but he matched her every move.
“I thought we were going to talk tonight.” He said when she looked up him in a annoyed expression.
“I changed my mind.” Sue replied.
“I know something is wrong.. Sue talk to me… I know you don’t change your mind that easily… Something happened between going to bathroom and the front door…..” He paused and then said, “You saw me and Ronda talking…. It’s not what you think.”
She snorted. “I don’t need to think… I read lips… I know what I read… Just forget about what happen between us for the pass six months… We’ll just go back to what were between. You as my training agent,” she said as she walked pass him.
He spun around and caught up to her within second. They came to a stop under a street lamp. He looked directly at her. “You can forget… I can’t...” he paused and then said, “You know that story I told you that night of our official first date about my grandparents.”
“Yeah… what about it?” she asked.
“So you remember that my Grandpas fell in love with Grandmas from the moments he saw her,”
“What does it have to do with you?” she asked.
“Well Sue, I’m that guy…. I’m my grandpas… You might think that I fell in love with the day you stormed into my bullpen looking for a transfer from fingerprinting… But that’s not true…. I fell in love you before that day.”
“I don’t understand… I don’t remember ever meeting you before the day I requested a transfer from you thinking it was the HR department.”
“Well Ms. Sue… If you’re willing to join me at my apartment, I’ll be glad to tell you all about the day I fell in love with you.” Jack said extending his hand towards her. A smile slowly formed on his face as she extended her hand and placed it into his awaiting grip.

Welcome to the Challenge, Blueangel!! It's great to see you here!!!
I saw that episode of Bones and it was disappointing - but I honestly think we've been set up for better things in the future!! Let's hope so!!!
I love how you ran with "I'm that guy" and built a very promising story around it for Jack and Sue!! I'm glad she decided to see what he has to say!! I'm also very interested in what transpired between Jack and Rhonda that Sue misinterpreted!!!
Now, on with this story - I can't wait!!!

Sorry about posting this so late. The time I should have used to post, I used to read spoiler regarding NBC's Chuck and post on a fan forum. But now I'm back.
I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the story. I really like Booth's line from Bone's 100 episode and I thought it would really fit Jack.
Starting from this post the story will be in flashback mode. I was going to have Jack tell Sue but I thought a flashback would be better.
----------------------------------- ----------------------------------
Jack Hudson stood at the kitchen counter with a phone tucked between his right ear and shoulder. He pulled open a bag of chips as he listened to the person on the phone.
“Mom, again with the settling down?…. We’ve been through this. Ronda and I just started seeing each other, I don’t know if we’ll make it to next month.” He said as he emptied the bag of chips in a wooden bowl.
“Jackson Samuel Hudson.” He cringed at the sound of his mother using his full name. “This is the fifth girl you’ve gone out with since you broke up with Allie. How many more are you going to go out with? You know I hope to you settle down with some nice girl before I die,” his mother said.
“Mom you’re not going to die.” He tossed the empty bag of chips into the trashcan. “Besides I’m just too likeable. You should be happy. As for Allie, it’s complicated,” he said as he removed the phone from between his ear and shoulder and held it with his hand. He glanced at the door when he heard a familiar knock. “Mom I got to go. Bobby and the guys are here.”
“Ok, but don’t expect those brown eyes and ‘Hudson’ smile get to you. Someday, you’ll meet some girl who won’t fall for those too easily. And I hope the next time we talk you have someone serious.” He sighed at his mother’s comment.
“Mom, we talk every other week. I doubt that by next week I would have found someone. You never know, maybe Ronda’s the one,” he said as he walked to the front door. “Ok, I love you too. I got to go before Bobby has the need to shoot my lock off.” He clicked the phone off just as he pulled open the door.
Standing in his door way was Bobby and D. He opened the door wider to let them in. Once they entered they entered his gently closed it, placing the phone on the book shelf.
“Where is Myles?” he asked as Bobby and D removed their coats and settled down on the couch. While he went back to the kitchen to get drinks and snacks.
“He said he something to do. My guess is that he and Lucy have a date.” Bobby replied as he leaned back on the couch. “So who were you talking to Sparky, Ronda? Is distance making the heart grow fonder?” Bobby asked with a smirk.
“No that was not Ronda, Crash..” he said as he set the drinks and chips on the coffee table. “It was my mother.”
“Ah, Mrs. H, how is she? I miss her…” Bobby asked as he popped a chip in his mouth.
“ All she’s been doing his asking why I’ve been going on so many dates.” Jack said as he sat down with a drink. He popped the top and took a large sip.
“Mothers are always like that.” D said “Before I married Donna that’s all my mother did. She’d bring it every time we talk.”
“Well Spraky you need to find some girl to become Mrs. Sparky fast.”Bobby said as he grabbed himself a drink off the table.
“And when are you going to find someone to become Mrs. Crash?” When Bobby did not answer he smirked and said, “It’s not like she going to waltz into the bullpen one day and I fall madly in love her,” he said a he turned on the television using the remote control.
“You never know,” Bobby said with a smirk.

Anyway this post is also in flashback mode. The post starts off the follow day and will take place within that one day. Oh yeah Bobby says something about 'mind cheating' which is a word use in the NBC show CHUCK and I just had to use.
------------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------
Jack stood at the crosswalk jogging in place. As he stood waiting for the signal to turn he spotted a woman with blonde hair walking her dog. She was dressed in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Her blond hair was tied up in a bun. He was going to shift his gaze back towards the traffic signal when he noticed that she was doing hand gestures towards the dog.
He watched as she repeated the same motions to the dog a few times and then headed into the park. The traffic signal changed colors and he jogged towards the opposite sidewalk. He was going to turn right which would lead him back to his apartment but something stopped him.
He stood staring into the parking trying to find the woman he saw a few minutes ago. When he could not find her he decided to venture into the park. He started his jog again and stayed on the walking path. His eyes darted left and right looking for the woman.
He finally found her standing in the middle of one of the grassy fields. He walked over towards the field she stood in and stood under a large tree. He pretended his was stretching just in case she happened to look towards him. He watched as the sunlight danced against her blonde locks making her look like an angel.
Jack moved a little closer so he could hear the conversation she was having with her dog. He watched as she talked to her dog, after he did what she asked she would toss the tennis ball and the dog would chase after it.
After a few minutes of playing catch with the dog she stopped when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She took the tennis ball from the dog and turned to face the person, who was requesting her attention. He watched as the woman’s new guest, a girl in her teens, used her hands and body language to communicate to the woman. The woman replied in the similar manner. After a few minutes they interacted with her dog.
He was about to approach her when he felt his cell phone vibrate. He sighed as he fished it out from his pocket. He read the screen and sighed. He then flipped the phone open and placed it up to his ear. As he ran a hand through his hair he said, “What is it Bobby?”
~~~~~~~~~~
Jack sighed as he stood by the large window of the coffee house as he waited for Bobby to get them their coffee. His team was moving to a new office thanks to Myles and someone had the bright idea of packing the coffee machine. Therefore, for the next few days they will have to resort to buying their coffee from a store.
As he stood waiting his mind wander off towards the woman he meet with the dog. Just as he was about to shake the thought from his mind he spotted a blonde hair woman with a dog standing a few feet from the coffee shop, waiting to cross the street. Sure there were many blonde hair woman in Washington DC and many with a dog, it might not be the same one he saw this morning but for some strange reason he knew it was the same person. The same person who was wearing jeans and a t-shirt this morning was now dressed in a black pants suit. Her blond hair released from it’s bun.
He watched as she crossed the street and headed towards the FBI building. He wanted to lean out through the glass to see if she went in or was walking pass it but was stopped with Bobby’s coffee offering.
He turned his attention towards Bobby’s offering and took the paper cup. The paper tray which held four cups of coffee as Bobby worked in his own cup of coffee. Then he handed back the tray to Bobby to start on his own cup.
As they were exiting the coffee shop Bobby asked, “What were you so interested in that a trained sniper like you didn’t hear me approach or call your name?”
“Nothing, just thinking about what a long week it’s going to be. Why do you ask?” he asked as he pushed open the door and started their journey towards work.
“It looked to me that you were mind cheat.” Bobby replied.
“Mind cheating? What is that?” he asked.
“I saw you watch that blonde hair woman, in the black pants suit, make her way towards the Hoover Building. Minding Cheating is when you already have a girlfriend and you see this other girl you would really like to date. I mean physically you’re with Ronda but it doesn’t mean you mind doesn’t want to really know what her shampoo smells like. You like blonde hair woman with the dog,” Bobby said as he raised his cup of coffee towards his lips for a sip.
“What?.... I was not mind cheating. My gaze just happened to fall on the person the person you are talking about.”
“You can say all you want but you’re a mind-cheater.. Don’t think I’ll keep it to myself Sparky, Ronda has a right to know.” Bobby said in a teasing tone as Jack gave a light snort while shaking his head.
A snippet. Only a few more post to go.....----------------------------- -----------------------------------------
Jack and Bobby walked into the bullpen to find the rest of their team walking relaxing at their desk. Boxes that they were assigned to pack lay on their desktop. Jack shook his head and said,
“What’s going on here? I thought you guys were going to these things pack by the time Bobby and I got back with the coffee.”
“We will,…” Tara said as she passed around the paper tray after taking her cup of coffee. "but Myles came back with some interesting new.”
“What might that be?” asked Jack as he leaned against the edge of his desk.
Myles took his cup of coffee and paced the paper tray into on the large back garbage bags by his desk. He leaned up and propped his feet up on his desk. With a smirk on his face he said, “Well Jamie for HR said that they just hired someone for the fingerprinting department.”
“They’ve been saying that for ages. I’m surprised they hired someone.” Jack said as he raised his cup towards his lips.
“It’s rumor that this person is deaf… This should be interesting.” Myles said in a smug tone.
“What’s wrong with that?” Tara asked.
“Nothing.” Myles replied while Bobby and Jack gave each other knowing glances.
“All I want to know is if this person is a Sheila and if so she is cute?” Bobby said as he sat down at his cluttered desk.
“If the person is deaf I don’t think she will fall for your accent,” Tara said as she sipped her cup from behind her laptop, since the IT guys had moved her desktop down to their new office.
“Ah, but my smile gets them also.” Bobby said with a grin while Tara lowered her head shaking it.
Jack tossed his now empty cup into the trashcan and said, “ Better get back to work before the White Collar Unit comes and kicks us out so they can move in.” Just as he was about to get settled behind his desk he noticed someone with blonde hair walk right pass the door. He stared out in the hallway before turning his attention back to his cluttered desk.
Jack stood in front of vending machine as he waited for his can of soda to roll down to the bottom of the machine. When he heard the faint drop he bent down to pull it out. He stood up and stood off the side.
As he wiped the top with a napkin a blonde hair woman and her dog walked up to the vending machine. She reached into her pocket and pulled out some money. She then scanned the option before inserting the money into the machine.
She pressed her desire option and stood waiting for it. Someone taped her on the shoulder a few minutes later as she stood waiting. She turned her attention towards the person.
Jack watched from his spot next to the machine. He was about to let her know that her drink was ready when he heard her say, “Ok, I’ll help,” And followed the person towards the elevator bank.
Jack reached for the can of soda which she head abandon and stared at it. He then took the stairs hoping to meet the woman at her new destination.
~~~~~~
Jack reached the lobby of the Hoover building. His eyes scanned the people walking around. He was about to give up when he noticed a large sign on the wall. He stared at it and then followed the large arrowed posted next to it.
He found himself standing in front a bake sale. The rotors from the units in the newly renovated portion of the Hoover building decided to hold a bake sale just in case Randy decided not to approve any of the items they needed. Standing among the group was the blonde hair woman.
He watched as she helped restock the empty trays. He nearly jumped out of his skin when someone tapped him on the shoulder. “Bobby how many times have I told you not to do that?”
“Do what?... Ahh. I see,” Bobby said with a smirk when he spotted the blonde hair woman. “You know people might think you’re stalking her. Why don’t you just go up and talk to her? Or are you still interested in being a mind cheater?”
“I’m not mind cheating and I’m not stalking. I just happen to notice she left her soda at the vending machine. I just wanted to give it back to her.” He cleared his throat.
“Right.. Well you can continue standing here. I have to bring these cupcakes up to Tara she’s at our new office. She’s setting up our computers. You know if you want I’m sure Betty could introduce you to that blonde hair shelia,” Bobby said with a toothy grin. He held up the plastic container of cupcakes in his hands.
“She doesn’t work for the Homicide Unit.” He noticed Bobby’s and said, “I just know.”
“Right Sparky… If you’re really into her just go up and talk to her. It’s not like she’s going to waltz into our bullpen tomorrow.” Bobby then turned around and headed upstairs.
