Several revisions later - how many colours did we use this time Lynn? Seven? Eight?
This takes place before the opening bullpen scene for the episode Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, which of course comes after the
The case was serious, potentially deadly for thousands of people who could be showered with bubonic plague, yet the thoughts filling his mind were of a different type of shower. Shaking his head in disgust Jack tried to settle his errant thoughts. Myles would begin the briefing any moment, though if he waved that cane around one more time Bobby might do something drastic.
Her warm, wet body beneath the thin robe...
I’m not listening to you.
Don’t have to listen, just remember the feel of her curves as you grasped her trim waist...
Stop it.
You don’t mean it. You’ve been dreaming about other ways to get her out of the shower ever since seeing her flushed face emerge from the steam-filled bathroom...
Now’s not the time. Myles is heading for the whiteboard.
So? Think man. Instead of sending Levi in to fetch her, imagine what it would be like to have the right to join her yourself.
Stifling a groan he rubbed the back of his neck, wishing there was time for a cold shower.
Bet you any temperature shower with Sue would be steamy.
Stop. I won’t be able to look at her again if you don’t leave me alone. She already thinks I pick women up in bars thanks to you.
If you would have simply kissed the woman instead of hinting around...
She’d have slapped my face. And if she knew what you were thinking...
‘Scuse me? I am you. You are me. And we’re both thinking about her wet, naked body pressed up against ours in the shower to end all showers.
Not here.
Why not? If it's too hot in the bullpen for you head out to the washroom. You can splash cold water on your face, not that it will help.
Glancing over Jack saw Myles fiddling with parts of his presentation. Time enough to duck out for a moment. Quickly he scooted out to the hallway, the rhythm of his steps corresponding with his pounding pulse.
That's right. Best to finish this fantasy alone.
Stop. We’ll have it out when the case is over.
Where? In the lonely bachelor pad we call home? It’s not a home. The place you’ve spent the last few days with Sue is more of a home than anything you’ve ever had since arriving in D.C. Face it. You've fallen in love with your beautiful partner. Imagine what it would be like to really be married and share a place the two of you picked out together, complete with a shower built for two. Nix that. A shower for one is better... less room so you have to stay close when sharing.
Vigorously twisting the faucet, Jack plunged a piece of toweling into the cool stream. While bathing heated cheeks a meandering drop caught his eye in the mirror. Immediately visions of another drop wending a path down paler curves had him groaning in frustration. Squeezing his eyes shut didn’t help. The images of water droplets cascading over her porcelain skin became more vivid.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about. Now think of what you could do with a bar of soap.
Stop.
No. You don’t want me to. You want to glide your hands over her, forming a rich lather to match the lather you’re currently in...
Sue’s my partner. We’re on a case. A serious case.
And this a shower, a serious honest to goodness shower of the best kind we’re talking about. Imagine her soapy hands on you returning the favour, gliding over taut muscles, tracing patterns over your heart amidst the bubbles, building a mutual desire until...
Biting the inside of his cheek couldn’t stop the arousal he felt. Much more of this and he’d have to remain hidden away for a while.
Oh stop fighting it. You’re such a wuss when it comes to her. We’re going to finish this. Imagine molding her hot body against yours as you press her against the cold tile wall, swallowing her gasp...
No. She’ll never look at me like that. She's seeing David.
Pffft. You’re an idiot. She wasn’t unmoved by your proximity in the bedroom; her nearly naked, you devouring her with hungry eyes...
When I woke her the other morning she pulled the bedcovers up higher.
Not for quite a while. If you had made a move to join her I guarantee she wouldn’t have given bedding another thought. At least not that kind of bedding... if you were really married and not simply undercover, that is.
Enough. She’s innocent.
So are you when it gets right down to it. Just because you have more head knowledge than she does... you’ve never acted on it. Now you know why. You’ve been waiting for her.
I know.
You know? Hallelujah. There’s hope for you yet my boy. Of course once you ditched Allie in favour of being Sue’s back up date... er, escort... I knew you’d eventually catch on. Now, back to the shower.
No. Back to the bullpen.
Not unless you want to be the most distracted team leader in the history of the FBI. Relax and enjoy; we’re almost finished. Gasping at the cold she seeks your warmth as you plunder her mouth. Lifting her long silky legs to wrap them around your eager writhing body you take her on a journey no one else has ever shared with her... giving her the ultimate satisfaction even as you cry out her name in ecstasy...
That’s it. Now I can’t go back.
I know; isn’t it great? Imagine how good it will feel when fantasy becomes reality.
The case. Showers of bubonic plague. I have to focus.
You are focusing... on showers. Important showers. Life-affirming, mind boggling, steamy...
I’m supposed to be working on preventing a shower, not fantasizing about taking one.
Pffft. Just goes to show, there’s showers, and then there are showers.
Leave me alone now. You can torment me in my dreams when I finally get home. No more until then.
If you insist. But in the apartment you'll need to be prepared for a prolonged, detailed encounter. We may have to repeat it a dozen or so times to be sure nothing was overlooked. Remember to take your heart medication first.
Groaning, Jack struggled to bring his inner caveman under control so he could return to his team. Using the horrible nature of the case to cool his ardor he sighed with relief when his body stopped betraying him. When the current crisis ended, he would have to seriously get control of his shower-happy imagination.
Striding back in it was clear Myles was now ready to start. Against his will his gaze drifted to Sue. One day in the future he needed to do something about his feelings for her; his longing to shower her with love and affection...
Did someone say shower?
