A great post, but I think Jack needs a wake up call. Talk about missed opportunity!
Monday, December 20 Part 1
Sue woke up the next morning and said "I'm on holidays!Party"
She bounced out of the room only to be greeted by Jack and Lucy.
Sue automatically felt self conscious, wearing her pink pajamas.
"Goodmorning Sue."
"Umm hi...ya know, Luc when you invite someone over, you really should tell me before I come out wearing a tank top."
Jack just nodded.
Lucy said "Well, you two slept together two nights ago, I thought Jack could stand to see you in your pjs."
Sue turned as pink as her pajamas.
"We DID not sleep together..."
" Oh, technically you did, but enough, Sue, go get ready..We have a surprise for you!"
"Oh, great, not another surprise."
She obeyed and went to get changed.
An hour later they arrived at the airport.
"Lucy, Jack, what are we doing here?"
"You'll see, Sue"Jack said
A moment later Sue looked up and saw someone staring at her
"What are you doing here?"

"MOM, what are you doing here?" She runs to meet her mother.
"Well, a little bird told me that I was wanted in Washington."
Sue turns around to look at her friends. "Oh, Lucy, you shouldn't have!"
Jack walks up "Hello, Mrs.Thomas." He picks up her bags.
"Hello Jack, how are you?"
"Fine thanks."Mrs.Thomas turns and winks at Sue.
They begin to walk.
"Mom, where's dad?"
"Oh, your father isn't feeling great.He has a terrible cold and says flying would only make it worse."
"Oh, how long are you staying?"
'I can only stay until Wednesday.Lucy told me all about your christmas party.And SUe, I promise, this is your christmas, not mine.I won't change a thing.
Sue turns to look at Jack and Lucy and signs "Thank you."
Sue cast a glance quickly over at her two friends.

Back at the apartment, Sue and her mom made hot chocolate for everyone. Her mother looked at the place approvingly.
"I love what you've done to the place"She picked up a toy figurine.She wanted to move it elsewhere, but seeing the look on Sue's face, she decided against it.
They walked into the living room where Lucy and Jack were sitting. Once everyoen was comfy, Sue's mom signed to Sue
[I]Is Jack still single?"
Annoyed, she looked at her mother "MOther, FYI Jack understands sign language, so he knows exactly what you said."
Her mother looked at Jack and smiled "I'm sorry."
Jack nodded
"Mrs.THomas, the Christmas Bash we are having is all of our teammates who are single."
"Oh, my thats clever.But Sue, aren't you not seeing David?"
"No, Mm, we broke up weeks ago."
"Really, why?"
"Mom, I;d rather not.."
"Well I'm sure lucy knows, and Jack looks like he knows the reason, so it won't hurt to tell."
"Fine, mother..supposidly pretty boy David wasn't happy with me.HE wnated things to be taken further...I didn't..."
"But you two were doing so well..what happened?"
She cast yet another glance at her two best friends.
"He became jealous of Jack, and he wanted me to prove that I didn't like Jack,but that I like him instead.And I would not do it."
Her mother looked rather impressed "Sue, wow, that was great..so does this mean..."
Sue jumped up "Would you look at the time.. I bet you're all hungry..mother, we can discuss things later.I'll make lunch."
She literally ran into the kitchen and breathed a sigh of relief when Lucy offered her a hug " Thanks for doing this, Luc."
"Not a problem."
"Wait, where's Jack?" Realization hit her "Oh no, she'll be grilling him like a hamburger."
She walked out to see Jack with an odd look on his face. She grabbed his arm, saying to her mother "We'll make you lunch."
Once in the kitchen, Jack said "That was nteresting...Look, Sue I got to go.."
And with that, he left.
Sue thought worridly
What did my mother say to him???

"Mom, o my gosh, what are you doing here?"
"A little bird told me I was wanted in washington."
She turns around to Lucy and Jack "You two shouldn't have."
Jack walks up and says "Hello Mrs.Thomas." He picks up her bags.
Mrs.Thomas turns to her daughter and winks.Sue looks away.
"Mom, where's dad?"
"Oh, he has a terrible cold, and he said the flight would just make it worse."
"Oh.How long are you staying?"
"Oh, don't worry hun, I'll be gone before you're christmas bash.And Sue, I promise, I won't change anything.This is your party, your home, your friends.So you do it your way."
Sue nodded.

Jack and Lucy smile as sue says, a little annoyed
"You know, Jack learned sign language, so he completly understood what you said."
Her mother looked up at Jack embarassed
"As for the single part, the party we're having is for singles only...So, yes, I guess."
"Thats funny, I didn't think you were single.What happened between you and David?"
"Well..umm we broke up a while ago."
"Really, why?"
"I'd rather not say.."
"Sue, Jack and Lucy know, I can tell by their faces..It won't hurt."
"Okay, fine. Little perfect,David became paranoid.He was jealous of Jack.He thought I liked him, and he wanted me to prove I didn't.I didn't want to do what he wanted, so I broke up with him...He wanted me to marry him!"
"Whats wrong with that?"
"Mother, I don't love him!I'm never ever marrying him.he's a creep."
"So, you didn't want to do what he wanted to prove you don't love jack..does that mean-"
"WOW, look at the time.You all must be dying of hunger.Let me go prepare lunch."
Her mother was about to object but she said "Mother, we will discuss this later."
She ran into the kitchen when Lucy came in and hugged her.The women were preparing lunch, when reality hit Sue hard.
"Oh no, Jack's alone with MY MOTHER!"
Lucy looked up "She'll be grilling him like a hamburger!"
She ran back to the living room to see Jack sititng their with an odd look on his face.
"Mom, you dont have to make things between Jack and I even more complicated" She signed.
Jack had a confused look on his face as she pulled him by the arm into the kitchen.
"Sorry 'bout my mother."
Jack looked at her.
"Jack, hello, earth to Jack.This is just great.I can see the headline now
Man gone crazy because of future mother in law.
Both looked at each other with wide eyes "I can't believe I just said that..."
Jack shrugged it off "Well..umm..I better get going.Is the meeting still on for tonight.
"Umm ya..Jack about what I just said..."
'Don't worry Sue, wishful thinking." JAck smiled and Sue tried to look mad.
"See you tonight, Jack."
"You bet." HE smiled his flirtatious smile and was gone.
Sue turned around, realizing her mother and Lucy had heard the whole thing.
Lucy's smile was so big that Sue said "Hun, stop it, you'll get stretch marks." This cause the women to laugh and Mrs.Thomas said
"I almost wish I was single.I desperatly want to see this party."
The image of Sue's mother single caused Sue to laugh even harder, and in the end, Sue had tears running down her cheeks.
After a day of sightseeing the rest of the singles came over, and after introductions, Sue mother left for bed.
The six had a good time, and did nothing for the party, but instead, sat there, enjoying each other's company.

Sue and her mother got caught up about everything that had happened in Sue's life, but most of the conversation was centered around Sue's love life.
"Sue, you're gorgeous.Lucy tells me everyone falls for you.However, the only man your father and I will approve of would be your fellow FBI agent.You know Sue,Lucy has told me everything going on between you and Jack. I know about Eleanor, the undercover kiss, your breakup, and about you and jack sleeping together-"
"UMmm, mother. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!~?~?Jack and I fell asleep while watching a movie, and wearing formal outfits...don't make it anymore than it is."
"Sue, I know you love him.I know you've loved him for some time...and well...the way he looked at you yesterday...i think he shares your feelings."
"Maybe you and Lucy should just backup, and let Jack and I handle it. Mom, I WANTED this singles party so that sparks would fly between certain couples.Yes, I love Jack,but I don't want anyone to know.OKay?"

Sue's day was a sad one as she watched her mother baord the plane.
Sue wasn't sure what her mother's intentions were, but she knew her parents loved Jack.Now, if only Jack would love her.
She moped around for a while until Lucy dragged her to the store to by food and decoration/games needed for the party. Sue had a great time, and after that she was happier.
Thursday, December 23
The day dragged on and each person was excited about the next day.They were to meet at Sue and Lucy's around lunchtime.
Bobby and Jack spent the day together christmas shopping
"When are we going to learn?" Jack said, glancing around the packed mall

Friday, December, 24 (part 1)
Sue and lucy ran around the apartment early in the morning.They made sure they had enough food and they figured out the sleeping arrangements.
Tara arrived around eleven, and they girls each took out their outfits.
"Sue, this was such a great idea.You should've seen the men when they saw what you were wearing."
"Ya,Sue,their eyes will no longer be in their heads."
"I was just so happy to find these."
The girls each looked at their shirts and burst into laughter.
"OKay, so we were our sweaters with our skin tight jeans.Once they are settled in, and we see how they reacted to our choice of wardrobe,we surprise them again, and we show them our t shirts."Tara said confidently
'But, we do not make it obvious..we go on as if nothing happened."Lucy said
"Guys I'm really really nervous..I really don't want to tell Jack how I feel."
"you won't really be telling him, you'll be SHOWING him."
"But, our backup plan" Tara continued "If they do not agree with our 'shirts' we laugh, and then run and cry and act like nothing happened."
The girls had a little pep talk and then got ready.
An hour later, when the men rang the door bell, this is what they saw:
Sue wearing, tight dark blue jeans with a pink sweater.(WOW, Jack thought)
He said,however "Hi Sue, you look great.
Tara, wearing light blue jeans and a baby blue top.(Very Cute, Bobby thought)
He however, greeted Tara by "Hello, Beautiful"
Lucy, wearing black jeans,(tight, of course) and a purple sweater.( Myles thought, Better than I dreamed)
All he said, was "I love the color"
The men were seated and Bobby, looking from one woman to another said
"Umm Shiela's, you all look great.This is so much better than the last time Sue was dressed like this.Now, I can look from one to the other."
Everyone noticed that each man was frawn more to one certain woman.
The girls looked at each other and smiled "They have it good" The women thought.
The men saw this exchange and looked at each other "They're head over heals" They smiled and were satisfied.
Levi sat there, looking back and forth, scared and confused at what was happening.
"Tara, Lucy, Sue, why are you all dressed the same.I mean, the only thing different is the colours." Jack asked
"Oh..we wanted to match.We'll get some drinks."Sue said
The women went into the kitchen and went into a fit of giggles.
"Okay, girls, sweaters off." Lucy, said, her voice shaking. "We're all nervous, but Tara you need to know what Bobby thinks, Sue you need to confirm with Jack, and I, well..I need to settle something once and for all." Sue sqeezed her best friends' hands and the took off the sweaters, and began making the drinks.
"Its now or never," Sue sighed.

Back in the livingroom, the men were also discussing things with the women
"Guys, this is the perfect opportunity, a singles party! Remember, if the opportunity presents itself,go for it."
Myles said "Well, with our past, I doubt it, but you never know."
"Boys, this may be our opportunity."Bobby said, a little taken aback
The women walked in, acting normal, as they served the drinks.The men stared at the women's chests in disbelief.
Sue's shirt was pink, and it read " I was HighJACKed in love."
Lucy's shirt was purple and it said "Going for MILES"
Tara's shirt was Blue and its saying was "I wanna be BOBBY'S girl
The girls looked at each other and the men did the same.
"Well,"Sue began, "Lets run away and cry, and then come back and act normal."
"Well, I thought it was a good idea..." Tara said

"I mean, you guys just can't keep leading us on, flirting with us, and then be shocked to discover we like you!"
The men sat there, staring at the shirts.
"Okay, Lucy, this is unnerving.I HATE having three men staring at my chest. I'm changing."
Lucy grabbed her before she could run. "No, we will wait until the men come to their senses.It takes men alot longer to comprehend."
Myles was the first to recover "Is, there like, another Jack, Bobby and Myles."
"Oh yes Myles, you're with it.They, the people we are talking about, are hiding in the closet over there."
Sue went over "Oh, their not there.MMMM,maybe were talking about you."
"MYLES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT YOU! AND YOU AND YOU.NOW YOU OBVIOSLY ALL NEED TIME TO FIGURE THINGS OUT!"
"For example,"Sue began "Bobby needs to know why he's always staring at Tara."

"FYI, we've majorly blown off the women of our dreams.Now what?"
"We beg for forgiveness.Men, I have a plan, and I don't care if you're going to like it." Bobby said, fear evident in his eyes.

The women arrived back home 20 minutes later.

He looked at her longingly, and before she knew it, he was moving closer to her.This time she didn't back away and their lips met. All the anger and sadness and frustration from both people melted away in their tight embrace.

"What did I miss?" She said, as Bobby stood up
"Nothing...yet.." He held her around her waist and passionatly kissed her.She was surprised,but pleased at the sudden turn of events.
Lucy came in and went to turn around "Myles, what's happening."
"Lucy, just come here.Leaving you was the worst mistake of my life."
She leaned in, and they kissed like never before.

Sue broke away first, and soon there was an akward silence around the room.
Sue boldly removed her sweater,revealing her t shirt.Her two best friends did the same.
"So,"Tara said, 'i guess the shirts worked.Great idea, Sue."
Sue barely took her eyes off of Jack long enough to read her lips.
She smiled.
"So, what made you change your minds?"Lucy asked, gazng into Myles dark eyes.
"Well, we've always had our eyes on you, but we were-"
"COWARDS"Sue smiled "That night at Calehan and Mercede I thought I was going to die."
Jack nodded knowingly.He looked arond the room "Well, so much for a singles party.Maybe we should reprase it, how about a couples party?!?!"
"Works for me" Sue said
"But, lets do things together...we can't make out all the time, right Bobby?" Lucy said
Everyone pouted and sighed.
"Well, Sheila, I guess you're right." Bobby smiled sheepishly at Tara.
"Okay, now that certain, MINOR problems have been solved, we need to prepare dinner." Sue said.She tunred away and then stared at her friends.
"Lucy, Tara?!?!? Hello?!?!?"

"I'm finding it hard to cncentrate too, but we have to eat."

The rest followed Jack adn Sue said
"David is here,so Jack and I need to prove a pointI wnat this solved once and for all."
She opened the door, and David strode in.
"Sue,we need to talk.I am telling you this only once.I want you to marry me."
"David, I can't.We've discussed this"
"Why not?You're mine."
All six of her friends were about to pound David,especially Jack but Sue said
"No, I can handle it.David, my parents do not approve of you marrying me."
"And besides, she already engaged to marry me." Sue tried to keep her composure.
David looked defeated but said "Well, where's your ring Sue?"
Sue looked down and said "Well, my diamond ring couldn't get dirty when I was dong the dishes, could it?"
David looked at her "Well,as long as your happy...Do your parents approve of you marrying JACK" He said his name like it was contagious.
"Yes"
"She is happy David, thanks sooo much for stopping by, no need to return, have a great Christmas.Bye." Jack said as he slammed the door.
"Sue,that was interesting.So you're engaged?" Bobby teased
"NO!"
"Is the ring nice?" Lucy asked
"When is the wedding?" Myles asked dryly
Jack looked at Sue and said "We were actually thinking of, you know waiting for you to get engaged, and then have one huge wedding.Right Sue?"

Sue said "Looks like Jack Hudson beat David fair and square."
She winked and wandered back to the table.
And so the teasing continued.

Sue smiled and signed 'Thank you."
Levi came over and Sue said " You know, I know someone, who is handsome, adorable, smart and funny.Do you know who I'm talking about?"

Sue moved closer to Jack "Oh, you thought I was talking about Levi, but I was really talking about you."
Jack smiled and she cuddled up aganst him.He wrapped his arms arond her and kissed the top of her forehead.
"By the Way"she said 'the engagement may have been made up, but I was telling the truth when I said that you were the ohnly man my parents approve of.Just thought you should know."

Sue countered "Well, I'm the one who had the hard work...so I get to decide."
Bobby said "I wouldn't mind 1."
"One?Bobby, I'm having at least four." Tara said
Myles said "I want a bunch." Everyone looked at him. "What, I happen to have a soft spot for children."
Lucy laughed and said "Well, I want 2."
The room went quiet "That was an odd converstation."

"Why are we all being so tense around wach other?"Sue asked suddenly.

"Lets play a game."

"Well, we were thinking that Sue and Tara could share a bed, Jack could have the couch, and Bobby and Myles could share a bed."

Jack smiled but Sue said 'Do not get any smart ideas, or else Levi will sleep in the middle of us."

"Merry Christmas Bobby." Tara said "Bobby, may I ask why you are wearing a ribbon? You look like you belong under the tree."
Tara sat up as bobby squatted to be at eye level with her.
"Tara, for christmas you wanted a man who loved you.Well Tara, I love you,so I guess I'm your present."
"Bobby, this means so much to me.I love you so much."She began to cry.
Tara said "Dreams do come true" and Bobby agreed as he leaned in for a kiss.

Back in Sue's room, Sue said
"I wonder if the others are up."
Jack touched her hand. "Sue, I wanted you to have your gift from me first."
Sue took it and smiled as she sank onto the bed.Jack stood beside her. She opened the card.The card read.
[I]"Sue, I've known you for a long time. i love you.You are the best thing that ever happened to me.
Marry Christmas, Sue
Sue looked up and smiled.But something didn't seem right.
"Jack, I don't want to ruin this beautiful moment, but you spelled Marry wrong."
Jack smiled I knew she'd see it.She's a stickler for spelling,he thought.
She opened the present and found a small black box.
She opened it, and Jack got down on one knee.
"Sue, you've made me the happiest man alive.I want to have 2 or three children with you.I want to grow old with you.Will you do me the honour of marrying me? I know its sudden but we can have a long engagemen-"
Sue silenced Jack by putting her hand ohn her lips.
"You already have my parent's approval.It couldn't be more perfect.Jack, what was with the card?"
"I wanted to see if you'd catch on."
"Jack Hudson I WILL marry you!"
She hugged Jack and he picked her up and spun her around.
"Jack, That nightmare about me marrying David,, well in the dream, I thought I was marrying you,And then I got to the alter... and well...You know the rest..I love you Jack.This proves Dreams really do come true."
Jack nodded and flashed his famous smile that made Sue feel weak.
"I Kinda figure the dream was about you marrying me."Jack siad
"How did you know?"
Jack shrugged, 'From a brilliant friend of mine."
She giggled as Jack slipped the ring on her finger and said "Now, if David comes back we'll have the hardware to prove it."
They ran into Bobby,Tara,Lucy and Myles.
"We obviously have alot to share,"Tara said and Lucy squealed...as she saw "the rock"on sue's finger.

You really had me going with Sue's dream getting married. I had to go back and see if I skipped a page. Then I saw it was a nightmare! Good job. Those T shirts were a hoot! Too funny! I have to ask a question about the expression "oh to be young and in love". My Mom use to say that to me a long long time ago when I was young. I was born in Canada but raised in the States and wondered if this is a common expression in Canada or where it came from.
